I'm equally guilty. Especially if I haven't played the game for a while and I pick it up again...I always start it over. I think it's a compulsive thing.

i do the same to. exclusively with pokemon.... after awhile (especailly with sapphire) i get really bored because i kill everyone so easily.

(Just to show the following isn't directed to the person I quoted, but in general)

As for me...I am more the opposite...if I'm playing a game, and my file say, gets erased *has happened numbers of times*...I get pissed....then upset/depressed...(then again whenever I get pissed, I quickly go to being depressed...I'm weird that way sweatdrop )...

Only way I would start over is after transfering all, or as many Pokemon from one game to another before starting over....like to get a certain Pokemon again or something. 3nodding *has done that in the past, but not lately*

I'd have to say it depends on where you are. I always hate doing it, and I've never erased my Sapphire game. My Blue I've done a couple of times, and I can't remember on my Silver. My friend has a GameCube now, so I'm thinking of hunting down the PokeBox or whatever the game is called, which stores lots of Pokemon for you so you can restart withour losing everyone.
