So I was wondering..... What is your least favorite/most hated Dir en grey anything? I'd say Withered to Death rubbs me the wrong way... I dunno... I guess I'll have to listen to it a few more times or somthing but as of now I quite dislike it. sweatdrop

Yeah, I didn't like it much at all at first, I stilll think it is my least favorite album, but bits of dead tree (The 'Naze? Naze? kurikaesareru' etc. line specifically) and Kodou have grown on me.

I love everything except Toshiya's hooker dress and Kyo's sticky white eyelashes. o.O
I still don't get why people don't like WTD confused

Eh? I actually really loved Withering to death..
But for me... There are a few songs I don't really like:
Aoi Tsuki
Byou '' Shin (MISSA ver.)
Children (MISSA ver.)
JESSICA
Kiri to Mayu
Tsumi to Batsu
Wake
... Those are the only songs I don't like by Diru. "Gyakujou Tannou Keloid Milk" doesn't really appeal to me either, but some of the parts get stuck in my head.
My least favorite album would be... either GAUZE or MISSA. MACABRE is pretty good, I guess, but there new work is what appeals to me most. Kisou, six Ugly, VULGAR, and Withering to death. are all great albums to me.
Kisou and VULGAR have "FILTH" and "THE III D EMPIRE" on them, and those are my favorite Diru songs.

Whatttt. You can't stand "DRAIN AWAY"? That's such a great song though...

I don't really know if there is any Dir en grey work that I absolutely hate. I can handle most kinds of music, although I don't take much of a liking to songs in which the lyrics are all screamed. It makes it hard to understand what the vocalist is trying to say.
(Note: That's different from songs where screaming is in there, but there is also singing. I like those. It adds to the impact.)
I guess you could say it takes a bit to make me dislike a song.
In terms of styles, I like pretty much all of them, but Die and Kyo didn't really suit the indies makeup.

There are some songs which im not to hot on, Berry kinda creeps me out, and theres some which i avoid, but i cnat remember them, so i'll go find, then edit this xD
and WTD isnt that bad guys~ Bit repeative sure, but its still diru. Listen to Gauze then to Kisou, theres such a change in the music, but its still sounds diru, then listen to kisou then WTD, once again a big difference but it still SOUNDS like diru, to me WTD sounds just as if diru have marutred slightly....

I agree that Die didn't fit the Indies makeup... well makeup looks fine on him, but not the MISSA era stuff. Actually, MISSA era Kyo was weird... Okay maybe it was just "Garden" Kyo that I find weird. I have a weakness for "I'll" Kyo... Um... Okay, dammit, it's just too hard for me to say anything negative about Dir en grey! I lose! xd

I agree that Withering to death. sounds really repetitive. "Beautiful Dirt" and "SAKU" sound similar in a way. So do "C" and "Spilled Milk". As well as "THE FINAL" and "ITOSHISA HA FUHAI NITSUKI".
It's still a good album though. rolleyes ...

I LOVE Tsumi to Batsu! It's one of my favorites. But I really hate Clever Sleazoid. Like A LOT. It's really funny when you listen to it with the "alternative" lyrics though. xd

I like all of their stuff. I really don't see why people dislike WTD, and CLEVER SLEAZOID for that matter.

Yar i hated C.SLEAZOID at first because, no offence Kyo-san!, but the lyrics are kinda crappy...it sounds like they thought randomly ''lest write a song, we need to relase something *scribbles something quickly* that'll do' D: i dunno, Kyos lyrics always sound so meaningful, CS didnt, and the lyrcis sounded kinda...wannabe western D: like all the emo bands who try and write 'deep' 'hardcore' 'dirty' lyrics or whatever ._.
But CS is so growing on me! xD i think becuase 1) how CATCHY is that 'Wither wither wither wither~' 2) its Engrish, so i cna sing it 3) its diru 4) how funny is making up the lyrics?? xDDD
I'll tell you what shocked me! Machi from WTD, i heard that song when i first got into diru and only had like 10 of their songs, then my friend copied his WTD for me, and i saw Machi, i was all 'OMFGITSASIGN!' Because to me it SOUNDS very Diru/JRock/Viskei, like Gauze SOUNDED viskei'ish, so inside that album of evil westernization, theres Machi, the wondeful jazzy Diruish song~ maybe theres hope<3
