Burning starfire shine in the sky... The story thus far... One night, while in his observatory, Professor Mordecai Serzak found an unmoving star in the sky. He charted this star and named it Davin. A month into his research however, the star dislodged itself from the sky as a gemstone, and hurled intself towards the earth outside Daistorm school of magic. Quickly and carefully, Professor Serzak picked up the stone and, after feeling a magical bond between him and the stone, took it back home into the school with him.

Catch a falling Star and put it in your pocket... About Mordecai Serzak  Mordecai Serzak is a retired professor of alchemy at Daistorm school for magic. Because of his contribution to the school's success, they allowed him to continue his resedence and experiments within their facilities. Within the school he has his own private quarters, laboratory and observatory.
Although he's a professor of alchemy, that doesn't mean that Mordecai doesn't know how to use elementary magic. His black cane with a silver dragon head embroizened into the top serves as a magical staff when it doesn't serve as Mordecai's walking stick.
Mordecai is about 55 years old with a lengthly grey beard and a game leg that he doesn't wish to discuss. He doesn't hate kids, but he greatly dislikes those that ask stupid questions...actually, he hates stupid questions in general. He also enjoys searching for new ingrediants to add to his experimentations.
About Urza
Urza is a grey wolf spirit that serves as Mordecai's faithful servant. He is very impatient and innitially very cold. He also only obey's Mordecai's orders. He can talk and is only slightly larger than a normal grey wolf.
How Urza and Mordecai met still has yet to be revealed.

There's gloom, and doom... The Laboratory Latest experiment: Tried to make a color changing paint
Resulted in: it worked, but only lasted for a day before the paint decided that it liked the color cherry red.
Ways to improve: Mix the paint for a longer period of time, hoping to keep it confused.
...while things go boom
