Okay, here are some things not to do (as they can lead to bad things)
1. Stand in front of the mirror and call yourself fat. (Where do I begin to say how that is bad)
2. Skip meals (You need to eat or your body will stop working right).
3. Hop on the scale every five minutes or so (do it once a week).
4. Say "But I can't do it!". You don't know if you can if you don't try.
5. Nickname yourself "Porker" (It's not going to help to call yourself names).
Sorry, I know a few girls at work who complain about being heavy, and they do those things.

I honestly don't see how some people are silly enough to think stuff like that works.
But you must admit number 5 is ver funny. "No, no call me Porker, its keeping me motivated" mad D

I'd be most guilty of #1, but I'm not as bad anymore.
I can't afford to skip meals anyway, I get massively cranky if I don't have my 5 small meals a day. I don't think it's blood sugar level related, I'm just a cow when I'm hungry.

I'm so guilty of numbers 1 and 2, it's not even funny. ...Okay, it is. But still. I'm getting better about number 1, but I tend to get up really late in the mornings (between 10 and 11), so I never see the point in having lunch. I just have breakfast then, and then don't eat again until 7pm. Which is really stupid of me, I know. ._. I'm trying to add in a small snack or something in between so I won't be so liable to binge on whatever I'm having for dinner, since that's my family's biggest meal of the day. >>;

I weigh myself every day to see how my weight fluctuates. It also helps me keep on the right track, and not eat bad foods, when I know that another 6am weighing is coming up the next morning.
It's a motivation, for me anyway.

The worst thing to do is the old binge-purge trick. There are a couple of ways to do this horrible thing. Neither of them is healthy.
1. Eat a lot, then throw up. This is called bulimia. It can rot your teeth over time, as the stomach acid is upchucked and has to pass over your teeth to get out of your mouth each time you vomit. It also makes your breath stink so much that no one will want to be around you, no matter how thin and pretty you think you look. In advanced stages it can cause your body to grow extra hair, which also isn't attractive. You can lose brain function due to dying brain cells, and you can lose digestive function entirely. You can die from this.
2. Eat a lot, then starve a lot. This can lead to anorexia, which is often lethal. It can lead to diabetes, which is no picnic. It can also lead to weight gain, because your body thinks it's in the midst of a famine, so it needs to save all the food you eat, in case the food goes away entirely. Know how your body stores food? It stores it as fat. Yeah. Don't do this.

I have to say I am guilty of 1,2 & 4. A long time ago when I was at my heaviest I would exercise and get so angry at myself I would just start hitting myself over and over, I hated myself that much. I am a lot better now but being heavy and hating yourself can be just so frustrating. I now realize that losing weight takes time and a lot of effort but is well worth it in the end. As my mom would say"You didn't gain all the weight overnight so it's gonna take just as long to lose it." Wise words in my opinion!
I CAN DO IT!!!!!! xd biggrin 4laugh rofl ninja

I'm sort of guilty of number one. It's a bit more of a "Ugh... look at my legs... my arms... my stomach... my butt. Crap, how did this happen? I need to lose some weight."
rofl Nicknaming yourself "Porker"...
