I was wondering how do you recolor bases to match gaia's 5 skin tones including the manaquins. I usually use my own avi's skin tone when createing bases but sometimes when making female bases I use the white complextion or when useing a base made by another editor from the share your bases thread. and I need to recolor the base to fit my specific modifications. as in skin tone I have no idea how to do it. I use Adobe Photoshop 7.0 if you can help. Im asked around and so far people have said just play around the the saturation but that doesnt work. I was wondering is their a easier way to do it? Or if I need to use the saturation does anyone know the exact values needed for the 4 skin tones? Thanks

I'd suggest putting a copy of any base in the skin tone you're aiming for next to it on a different layer or a different file, doesn't matter as long as you can see them both. Then just go to Hue/Saturation and mess around with all the settings until you get something that looks right. If you can't get it with that, try checking the Colorize box and fiddling with it some more. 3nodding

Lucifer, you can't match the skintones on gaia using your own recoloring...well, you can, but it'd take a lot of time to get it exact.
Your best bet is just getting the different colored gaia bases of tektek.

I have those base I asked for how to recolor if you read above because sometimes customers submit custom made bases but ask for the skin tone to be changed.....-.-
