These are my favorite. Has anyone read the Sword of Truth Series? How many books have you read? Favorite character(s)? Your favorite part? I love how realistic he makes this world seem. The characters have so much depth and sometimes everything isn't alright in the end and you have to wait 6 months to see what happens when the next book comes out. http://www.terrygoodkind.com/ His new book "Phantom" will be released sometime summer 2006. I can't wait! whee I still have yet to read "Dept of Bones" which is a prequile. I want to buy it, but I hate hardback, so I am waiting for it in paperback.

The ONLY thing that I don't like is how often and the severity of the bad things that happen to the main two characters. gonk

Wow, I hate to say it but... Goodkind lost his touch AFTER book 3. He suddenly got preechy and listless. Nothing but blabbing on and on about what is right and wrong, 7 books and no dead Jagang... Me no likey him no more...
But I will admit, I loved Wizard's First Rule and still consider it one of my favorite books...

Yes, I will admit... not killing of Jagang after two books about him was pretty sloppy on his part. Maybe he didn't want the headache of creating a new antagonist?

same here. I was tired of the main characters getting the worst cases of bad luck. The story just started to really drag, so I gave it up stare

I haven't read the last two books yet. Naked Empire ended so well I almost didn't want to read the last two since they seem to have more horrible things happen to Kahlan and Richard.

My problem with the series was that the plot never changed pace. The series of unfortunate events (no pun intended) that happened to Richard and Kahlan in just poorly written, to be honest.
And why does my favorite character always die!?! gonk -Leavaros

It would always work out in the end, though. biggrin
To be honest, I kinda liked watching them suffer. twisted It was amusing.
