I like how the majority of the bands spoken about here are either sellouts or not emo.
I.E:
The Used
My Chemical Romance
Fall Out Boy
Taking Back SUnday
Underoath
From First To Last
Hawthorne Heights
and this almost made me puke:
Green Day
Sugarcult
Simple Plan

They're not emo, true. They are good bands though. You can't blame people for wanting to talk about their choice of music. Though I don't know why people are talking about Simple Plan on here. eek -shudders-

I haven't heard anything about Simple Plan, thank god! but there is nothing wrong with those bands! Taking Back Sunday is kinda emo.. they are grouped as punk/emo. Hawthorne heights are emo.. although i dont personally like them.

Well, whether they've sold out or not, they're still emo bands-- even if only emo influenced. I come acrossa lot of people telling me what I listen to isn't emo, but, personally, I love hearing bands that can mix different genres for their own sound. If allthe bands sounded the same, the genre would die REALLY fast. Therefore, not all emo bands are the same, and the genre can evolve.

They may be what some people say emo is today but they arn't real emo.
