hey.

the subforums seem to be pretty much going to waste at the moment. not many recent posts, and even fewer new threads being made. nobody visits them.

it's so bad that people are posting stuff in the main forum that could go in one the of the subforums- especially avi talk.

if they're anything like me, the other members of this guild tried to use them, but gave up since nobody reads what's posted, and the subforums themselves are a bit of a mess.

examples-

in the art forum, there are threads where the pictures have been deleted from the host site leaving an "oops, this picture is no longer hosted here- photobucket.com" message. such threads are useless. i would send them to the recycle subforum, but i thought i'd check here first as quite a lot of threads need sorting out and i'd hate for kanzoo to have piles of threads to put back again.

in the avi subforum, many people didn't bother to put a proper picture of their avi in the topic header, instead using their avatar itself as the picture. so they say, "what do you thing of my new 'darth vader' look?", when they've long since changed their avi to some kind of werewolf thing. again the thread is useless as a result.

once the subforums are more habitable again, i think we should use a bit of force to bring them back into use. when somebody starts a thread in the main forum about their avi, we move it to the appropriate subforum, and explain it to them when they ask, "where's my thread gone?" that it was moved.

a few reminders in the main forum that the subforums are open again, plus if me, kanzoo, merciless and isharai start some exciting new threads there, i'm sure we can kick- start the subforums again...
