Well, it's not as if it's a bad thing, but there are times when I automatically answer questions as: ''It's because I'm Asian'' or something.
I'm not trying to be racist, but I used that line to answer alot of stuff alot. I know it might bother some people (particularly non-asians) and they might find it insulting/racist.
Yeah, there are times when I think: ''I have so much asain pride it's making me arogant.''
Eh-heh... sweatdrop

Oh when I hear people say, "it's because I'm asian". I just take it as a joke because when I use that phrase that's what it means to me.
Pride is an okay thing but too much pride is when you take it too far and start discriminating others or pull a Hitler..

Occasionally, I think I do have too much pride. But it's part of who I am, and I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. At least it makes you different from all the people who hate their country and complain about it all the time and whatnot. Not saying that we shouldn't question authority, but it's quite sad when you question authority because everyone else is doing it and it's 'trendy' to be cynical. rolleyes

I brag in school how we have the best systems of Martial Arts in the world. It's true, but Americans practice them horribly.

Ha, I always say 'it's 'cause I'm asian'. But most of the time, I do it jokingly. Like today, meh friend was like 'woah, aren't those pants too big for you?' I said 'yeah, they are my cousin's. Haha.' she said 'You wear your cousin's clothes? o-o'''' ' and I said 'Yesh hand-me-downs , it's 'cause I'm asian'. And all meh asian buddies laughed. -nods nods-

I've never actually said 'It's cos I'm asian'. I don't think I have any asian pride at all. I'm just asian cos I was born this way.

i dont have a lot of pride.. just normal... i never said the 'becoz im Chinese' phrase before.. not that i can remember anyway..
i like being Chinese tho and i do feel lucky that i wasnt born in countries like Indonesia, etc. My Chinese Indonesian/Malaysian friends would always tell me how lucky i am to be born in Singapore, etc.
fortunate is the word.. but not in the sense of arrogant pride feeling.
Although on a few occassions, i would feel that Chinese have an advantage over Malays/Indians... sweatdrop
