Mmkay, so I've been co-captain, (or whatever the title is), of this guild for some time now. Anyone familiar with the guild system knows that the crew is in charge of accepting or declining requests by non-members to join the guild. cool I swear, I should keep a list, a running tally of the silly little twats, (pardon my French), who request to join the Black Pride Guild on an almost daily basis, claiming in their reason, "I'm proud of my race." Then, I go to their profile. The account is always a newly created one. I view the posts. Post, after post, after post of phrases like "f** you," "niggers," "ur gay," "black people scare me" and "f**." rofl It makes me laugh. At first I though something was up, because requests like this kept coming up, but now I just laugh. Everytime. They're a daily dose of comedy, these kids. xd Especially because you get to see them get banned most oftenly, if they aren't careful. 3nodding That's the best part. Seriously though, to my fellow crew members: Don't accept any of these very immature users' requests. Duh. I hope no one thinks I have a sadistic sense of humor... O_o;; xd I really just needed to speak my mind, and maybe, in light of all this nonsense in the GD ( http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=2677243 ), we can still kind of shrug it off and move on. Little things like this may temporarily shock and appall, but we can laugh, dust off our shoulders and go about our day a little more aware, a little more "tough-skinned" and tolerant than we were. wink

... gonk I really, really hope not. sweatdrop Just be sure that before you accept ANYONE, even if they sound legit, you look at their profile and posts. 3nodding I've declined requests from users who actually are black, (judging by pics and statements), who feel the need to go around the forums calling people fags and retards in the majority of their posts. evil Protect the integrity of the guild~! surprised biggrin Keep the no0bs OUT. As a side note, I don't send "decline PMs" anymore. I tried to be civilized and send someone a PM to tell them why I declined their request and I get this: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=2283440 . rolleyes EDIT: In fact, the user that topic is about was one of the first "Hi, I'm black"/"Hi...I'm proud of my race" join requests. stare

Well, since so many comments have now been made, I think it would be kind of counter-productive to delete it. I, as well as plenty of others, have an opinion on the subject. I don't really post in the GD anymore, so since the topic was brought here, I left my opinion, which, as usual, was well-thoughtout. cool So, I'm not going to delete the topic, I'm sorry. xp
I didn't mean to make it sound like you were being "meek" or anything by letting what the poster said get under your skin, or that what was said should be ignored... neutral
It's an opportunity to grow and see other peoples' perspectives.
I'm probably the only one who thinks this, though...
