As with profiles all clan members are invited to post and freely edit a description of their personal quarters in this thread. The rooms follow a basic design, though with Guyy's permission clan members are welcome to make alterations to the layout according to their needs. Should anyone require an extra room they need only ask and Guyy shall work out an arrangement to suit. Decorating and furniture can be changed without permission for each clan member's personal tastes though should a room be vacated it shall be returned to its original condition.

The rooms all have roughly 500 sq ft of space each (20x25), with the majority of the space being devoted to the sleeping/living area and the rest split between a well fitted bathroom and a walk in storage area. This, however, can be modified to suit the individual needs of the occupant.

A recent change is the addition of three new wings. This increases the amount of rooms we currently have, while spreading out the clan a little. Each wing has its own common room which includes a small kitchen area. This saves everyone running upstairs just to get a snack or a drink. The laundry area has been moved to one of the triangular rooms nearest the elevator (in the central area). There is also a storage cupboard for all the domestic necessities everyone may need in another central room and a group workroom that replaces Guyy's private workroom. Anything can be constructed here. The fourth triangular room hosts a small general use lab, which is sectioned off so that anyone may use it for their own projects.

Undergoing construction...

Room Number: S4

Name of Occupant/s: Aya and Caine

Description:
PostPosted: Mon Aug 07, 2006 12:31 pm

Room Number: E2
Name of Occupant/s: Carys Annabelle Jones

Description:

The ceiling in the main room is the shade of purple the night sky turns just before it goes to blue/black, and is has little flecks of white here and there as though the stars are just starting to appear. The intricate pattern painted on the walls at first appears to be wallpaper. The background color is a purple so light it’s almost white. At the top, long, intricately curved lines about the width of a pencil, in the deep purple of the ceiling, curve downwards to meet the same curving lines in a purple that looks like the light purple and dark were mixed. Those lines in turn meet lines in purple one or two shades darker then the background. This creates the effect that the walls gradually darken into the ceiling, and makes it seem as though there is a light source at the bottom of the wall.

The bed is nestled in the far corner of the back wall, with the head set so the large view screen on the opposite wall is visible. The bed is queen-sized, and is made of cherry wood. The sheets are a deep purple, only a few shades lighter the ceiling, and the comforter is the reverse of the walls, dark purple with intricately curved lines in lighter purples. The headboard extends three feet above the bed, is about a foot and a half wide, and the front contains a cupboard on each side, bookshelves on each side, and a space for a lamp with a mirrored back in the middle. The outside edges are carved to look as though they are covered in ivy. The bottom of the bed has drawers, at least on the side facing outwards, and the foot of the bed is a bookshelf. The bookshelf faces away from the bed and the sides and back are carved like the head. Directly across from it is a large cherry wood wardrobe that is as wide as the bed and almost touches the ceiling. The sides of the wardrobe are carved to match the bed, and the front has several trailing lines of ivy carved into it. The doors open to reveal that one half is for hanging things in and the other is filled with drawers. Both the bed and the wardrobe were left to Carys by her father, and she treasures them as one of the few connections she has to a man she never met.

Next to the view screen on the side opposite the wall is a large, overstuffed, leather chair in a deep burgundy. It is far enough back to comfortably watch the screen, and there is a cherry wood oblong table in front of it. The top of the table rises up and over to serve as a desk or table for the person sitting in the chair. The chair and table had taken Carys a year to save up enough for at her previous job, but she is fussy about furniture, and willing to spend the money necessary to get high quality furniture. Past the chair, set against the wall beside the door, is a large cherry wood desk. The desk was bought with the money Carys had saved to live on while she found a job, which she didn’t think she was going to need, having found a place with the Shinigami. The desk has drawers on both sides of the area for the seat, and the chair, while not the most expensive desk chair on the market, is a far from being the cheapest. A laptop sits on the desk, which is usually covered in papers and or books, adding a note of clutter to an otherwise tidy room. What little wall space remains is filled with bookcases. Those that are not of wood that at least compliments the cherry wood have been painted to match the walls. Most are filled with books, although there are a few empty spots here and there, and the top half of the one nearest the view screen has DVD’s, CD’s, and video games instead of books. There are standing lights scattered throughout the room, in addition to the table lamps in the headboard and on the desk.

The walk-in closet has been set up as a work room for making scented soaps, lotions, and candles. The side and back walls have been equipped with the type of counters found in kitchens, and there is a sink inset on one side. The walls are a pastel green, and the countertop is only a shade darker. The undersides of the counters have drawers and cupboards where Carys stores the various tools and supplies for her projects. The exception to this is a shelf that set against the wall opposite the sink. It is similar to a spice rack, in that it has little bars to keep the bottles it contains from falling, but the individual shelves are much smaller. This shelves the various essential oils and scents Carys uses in her endeavors. It is clear that she does not leave these in their original containers, as all the bottles are exactly the same. They are made out of clear glass, and the top is actually a glass eye dropper so that scents and oils can be easily measured. Not all of the bottles are filled, but those that are, are clearly labeled in pen. A closer look revels that the labels are on clear tape, and several bottles have additional labels with various warnings on them, such as ‘For Candles Only’. A hotplate sits in the middle of the back counter. It is only plugged in when it is in use, and there is a fire extinguisher set above the door. There are halogen table lights set in the two back corners, to provide extra light as needed.

The bathroom is as tidy as the rest of the room. There is shelf for towels and wash clothes next to the tub, and a hamper for dirty clothes and used towels next to the door. This room has been painted blue, with blobs of white that are meant to be clouds on the ceiling. The towels and washcloths are a deep sapphire blue, and look brand new. The hamper is plastic, and also a deep blue. There is a shelf installed in the corner above the tub which holds a collection of soaps, shampoo and conditioner. The soaps are clearly home made. There is a bottle of lotion and a bar of soap on the back of the sink, again, clearly home made.

Room Number: W 13
Name of Occupant: Kaori Yukiko
Updated last: July. 30. 2008
Description: Normally this room is sealed and unseen by other clan members, it is Kaori's oasis. A home away from home so to speak, she comes here to get away from the hectic life of the library for a while. It's been renovated recently, obviously to have a more modern and impressive look to it. And yes that pool is definitely big enough to paddle around in.

Room Number:N2
Name of Occupant/s biggrin evetaki
Description:

Upon entering her room one would notice a polished, dark red wooden floor. Across the room from the door are comfortable leather couches that surround an ornate coffee table. A flat-panel television is mounted to the wall on the left. DVD movies sit neatly on the rack beside it. Off to the right is the entrance to a modest kitchen. To the immediate right of the door is a small closet. To the left of the closet is the guest's bathroom.

There is a hallway on the left that leads to 3 rooms.

The first room on the left is the bathroom with a jetcuzzi bathtub, a glass shower stall and a seat in front of a mirror.

Across the room, on the right of the hallway, is the bedroom. A queen-sized bed sits off to the right corner inside this room. Thick, lilac coverings contrast nicely with the dark bedroom set. A few feet from the foot of the bed is a small table that holds folders and files. A laptop hums quietly as it processes hundreds of documents on mineral deposits among other things.

The final room straight down the hallway, often jokingly referred to as the Rest Room, is the cleanest and most lovingly designed room of her quarters.

Plush white carpet and soft pink walls surround the room. The ceiling holds a light globe that simulates natural sunlight. Its tint can be adjusted so that the room can stay in brightness or total darkness by manipulating a small dial at the door.

To the right of this room nearest to the door sits a wooden chest of drawers only 4 feet high. The first drawer holds hundreds of candles in varying lengths and colours. The second drawer holds several lighters, many types of incense and a iron censor. The third drawer is empty.

In the middle of the room and toward the back is a coffee table 4 feet from the ground and 6 feet wide. Black silk cloth completely obscures the legs of the table. Precious, semi-precious gemstones, minerals and rocks in different shapes and sizes lie scattered about the table. Mounted on the table and against the wall is a tarnished gold frame with polished black onyx for glass.

Hidden from view behind two large silk screens is a stone fountain. Water trickles gently down a figurine and collects in a basin shaped like a shell. The small area is covered by black tiles. Silk and satin body pillows lay on the floor.

Under construction...

Room Number: S6

Name of Occupant/s: Aya Teinade

Description: Room number S6 is Aya's personal laboratory. No one is allowed to go inside except for Parvati and some special exceptions like Master Guyy and Lady Kaori. This is where Aya keeps most of her potions and the chemicals that she needs in order to perform her experiments. Granted, that not all experiments performed here are a success. Sometimes, one could hear a distinct explosion inside and see smoke (the color varies from the chemicals that are used) coming out from under the door. It is advised to not speak to Lady Aya once she is inside the laboratory for she can be quite irritable when her research hour is interrupted.

Room Number: 7
Name of Occupant/s: Nualla Espen
Description: The room that belongs to Nualla is fairly bare and unaltered compared to most of the lavish rooms the rest of the clan occupy. The furniture is still the same basic and functional furniture that the rooms are originally decorated. There are very few personal items as though she was a person with very little to her name.

There are a few odd collections scattered about neatly. They are still small collections but show signs of growing. On one shelf there is a gathering of bottles and a trained eye would recognise some very high quality and rare spirits among them. On another is a mismatched and much larger collection of unusual little trinkets, everything from a bent coin to a hat. If asked Nualla will reveal that she takes one small keepsake from every bounty she collects.

One wall is almost entirely covered in pictures cut from magazines, photographs, posters, flyers and various other pictures that have caught her eye or have special meaning to her. Some are pictures of places she has been, some are people she has met and some are people she admired. Mixed in among these are a handful of noteworthy news articles that extend back to over 50 years ago.

The bed has a thick comforter that has been covered with the soft hide of an unidentifiable creature. The floor has a matching fur rug. On the all at the head of the bed are a couple of hooks. Nualla's multipurpose hooked staff rests on these hooks. Spare rope and a couple of sheets of cloth also hang from these hooks. At the side of the bed is a large and apparently well chewed rubber bone and a large ball.

Her closet has a growing number of clothes now that she does not have to worry about living out of her small backpack. Her familiar leather outfit can be found here as well as several variations on it. There are several elegant dresses and a lot of casual but neat clothes. Oddly there are a number of thick leather collars hanging from a rack.

The bathroom is sparse, lacking most of the usual cosmetics of a female's beauty regime. There are large bottles of high quality shampoo and conditioner however suggesting that Nualla likes to take good care of her long hair.

Lakoia

PostPosted: Thu May 17, 2007 11:00 pm

Room Number: #12
Name of Occupant/s: 1
Description: Lakoia's room remains for the most part unchanged from the default it came with, the bed though he'd stripped of virtually everything, including the sheets, covers and mattress, the closet door that the bed occupies remains perpetually open whether Lakoia is there or not, the young man seems to prefer to sleep in the open air rather than with a roof over his head, the carpet has been pulled up, leaving hardwood floor which Lakoia has taken the time to furbish and polish the bathroom he's left unchanged a stand that Lakoia brought with him stands in one corner of the room sporting dual slots for the two swords he carries, a series of intricately drawn circles occupies the main room centered on the floor it contains characters that mankind has long forgotten.

The door has an added lock on it the intricate circuitry that came pre-installed at the door's entrance has been dewired cutting it off, the lock now consisting only of a solid wooden bar that Lakoia can slide back and forth from the inside, the room remaining unlocked when he's out. Aside from these few things, namely his sword and the clothes on his back, Lakoia only owns one article of value, that being a picture of a young woman with black hair and light grey eyes, fair skin and apparantly nude though the pictures only drops to the bust and doesn't reveal any details, her expression is playful and slightly mischevous. The frame itself is simple wood, hand carved and intricately so.

Room Number: 26
Name of Occupant/s: Nasue
Description: The room is littered with garbage, papers, books, clothing, even things off the shelves are frequently found on the floor. The room is mainly tied to the color of black and white, black being the dominant for the two, which covered the walls, and the white just making useless lines and boxes, and the walls are frequently covered with drawings and letters she has written to herself in scrawling elvish.

There are some, but very few modern marvels in this room. One being a small flat screen TV, hung in the corner of the room where she cannot reach it to tear and down, and two being a laptop, also highly placed in the room, so she has to ask someone to come and get it down for her when she wants to use it.

Also, there is a full length mirror she has to replace, frequently, and a futon pallet, placed on the floor(to hinder breaking the bed), with white sheets and a black comforter. There are small awkward shelves lining the walls in random places, holding tinkets and books, mainly the latter. There is a large sturdy dresser in the corner, which also has trinkets and books atop it, and a hook, near her bed to hold her sword and handgun.

Also, there is a quite a large lock on the inside of the door, for when she has her "episodes" and locks herself in for days at a time. It is a plain room, and not accomedating for anyone elses use.

Room Number: 21

Name of Occupant(s): Eunwook Chon Sungmin-yo

Description: The room has yet to be furnished itself for it has yet to be seen by the eyes of this satyr. Rarely, a room is not one to suit a satyr like this one for the ground and nature keep them more company than do the walls themselves. Later, when it comes to a better thinking capability, it will do something about the room but as of now, nothing will be done about it. Leaving it as it is will be the right path to take at this point and it should be noted. =D
