Creative Character Challenge:
You know how many different artists will draw a character from the same description? Well this is the antithesis of that. Many different writers will be developing a description based on one image. It's very interesting to see what kinds of different stories people can create from the same image. :3
This is less an exercise in writing, and more an exercise in creativity and character creation.
Status of Current Challenge:
Open! All entries must be PMed to OGAWG by June 1st.
How This Works:
Each month a new image will be posted in the "Current Challenge" post (below). Anyone who wishes to participate may do so free of sign-up and charge.
Entrants must make a biography including such things as age, race, and other stats (if they are not apparant), a name, and a short history for the character. When your entry is complete, PM it to OGAWG.
On the 20th, all the entries will be posted in a new thread with a poll for voting. The guild can then vote for the best/most interesting/most creative entry. Voting will be open until the end of the month, at which point, the winner's submission will be featured further down this page.
The author of the winning entry will also recieve a sealed letter from Raesha as their prize.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
Rules:
All entries must be based on the image shown below under "Current Challenge." If it is a black and white image, feel free to color as you please, but if the current challenge is a colored image, you must work with the artist's palette.
All entries must be PMed to OGAWG by the deadline (typically the 20th). No late entries will be accepted.
Entries should be between 300 and 500 words (500 words is roughly 1 page typed). Entries won't be disqualified due to length, but be aware that longer entries might get skimmed or skipped by readers, while shorter ones might not develop the character thoroughly enough for a win.
