Kicheko had been born in the pridelands, alongside her younger brother, Furaha. She'd grown into a lioness who sported a pelt that could've had her related to the royals... if you squinted. The point was - even when she was younger, she felt her calling towards some greatness or higher task. Even when she grew into adulthood, having trained to be a huntress alongside other lionesses and lions of the pride, she found herself wanting something more.
She thought she'd found it in Kemet, her heart's love, but even at his side, she felt restless. Perhaps there was a rank change to be done, but changing your rank without proper cause or training was nerve wracking. Enough so that after contributing to her hunt that morning, she stalked around nervously until taking off.
She wasn't entirely certain on where she wanted to go, or to what end. Her paws led her away from the watering hole when she approached, and carried her further until she could see colored flowers spotting the horizon. She moved from a brisk walk to a sauntering gait as she approached and her years perked when she saw a flower-colored lioness among them.
"
Ayana!" She greeted with a smile. "
I didn't think I'd find anyone else out this far. What're you doing out and about, and alone at that?" She asked, feeling no shame in interrupting whatever it was her pride mate was getting up to.
