This had never happened before. Not in the entire year he had been transcended. Not in the nearly five he had been a knight. Not in the almost eight in which he had been awoken. Well, never since Erytheia had been a knight of Cosmos. He knew one who had been a knight much longer — Camelot. And it was he who the younger knight sought out that evening. “Camelot!”Erytheia was quick to find the man. He had to ask him what was going on. Or, if he didn’t know, inform him of it. Because, to his knowledge, this had never happened before. His wonder was inaccessible! ✪

Camelot was standing near the entrance of the library, in the small pavilion up a a short three steps from the street. It served as the library's entrance, across its three sets of glass double doors. He would have been on the roof, but since falling off of it and injuring his back, he opted to stay closer to the ground.
Though falling was a kind word. He had been dropped. Violently. His face was still bruised from a harsh hit to his nose, though most of the other injuries were hidden by his shimmering armor. At least that had no reminders of the battle with the General King, as clean and brand new as it always was after being re-summoned.
He felt an aura and heard a voice, carefully turning toward it and brightening as he saw Erytheia running toward him. He lifted one hand, waving slightly.
"Good evening!" he called, but even from this short distance, he could see the other was troubled. Not that he blamed him: things were definitely not good right now, and the timing really could not have been worse. He was trying to make himself as available to others as possible, though, which was why he chose to power up fully instead of sticking to his third stage. This way, anyone looking for him would have an easier time of it.
"Are you doing okay?"

Erytheia was glad that Camelot was in his royal form for it made it that much easier to find him quickly. Still, he was out of breath from running. “When you powered up this evening… did you feel anything… off?”✪

"Ah, yes, so you've had something strange happen, too. I was training with Carlisle and we noticed some... oddities," Camelot sighed. He did not really have any answers, but the more information he could gather, the better.
As far as what he and his fellow Knight of Earth could find, their magic seemed to be on the fritz. Camelot rarely called his armor into play during a spar, but when Carlisle summoned his spear, it bowed and then snapped in half during an attack. Camelot had done no damage to it prior, and it had never broken before, even in a real battle.
Camelot's shield took far more damage than a sparring match would ever do to it under normal circumstances. He opted to test his AOE, but the barrier he created was patchy and weakened. It might have been something he attributed to his injuries, but with Carlisle also saying he felt it was harder to just power up, Camelot began to worry.
"It was difficult for my compatriot to power up, though I didn't feel it, necessarily. But when we were sparring, our weapons were damaged and there was certainly something off in our magic. I contacted some friends, it seems there are other complaints, among the knights. If you don't mind, what was it that was off for you?"

“Well, at first, I didn’t think much of it.”Erytheia tried to explain the feeling he felt when he powered up, but he couldn’t yet describe it. It was just as Camelot had described it. An oddity. “For me, it wasn’t just powering up that felt wrong.”The knight almost didn’t want to say it. To a transcended knight, it was unthinkable. And, yet, it was happening. “I can no longer access my wonder.”✪

Camelot listened with interest, nodding his head along carefully. He frowned, sighing.
"Then it definitely is impacting all of us. And not just in different ways. I could not return to my wonder, either, which I found incredibly strange." Even with his power level, he could not focus enough energy or magic to get his Wonder to open up to him. The realm of Camelot was sealed to him, though the poetic thought behind that was not entirely lost.
And if someone who had such a close tie to their wonder as Erytheia, as evidenced by the markings he bore, could not get back to theirs, then something was willfully blocking the way. Camelot had no idea what it could mean. Even through all of his experiences in this strange world, he had not yet encountered something quite like this.
It left him without any advice to offer, and that was a terrible feeling.
"Another knight I work with, Carlisle, also tried, and was unable to. Our wonders are tied, but even together we could not get the way to open. Very strange... and troubling..."

“All of us?”Erytheia listened to Camelot describe how he could not return to his own wonder. The other knight could not open the way, either. If Camelot could not, a royal knight, then who could? Even combining the powers of two knights did not work. “How can this be?”✪
