Christabel was feeling more and more excited being on patrol. She had been practing so much lately that she felt like she was ready to show off her mistletoe skills. Christabel was feeling more and more excited about being on patrol. She had been practicing so much lately that she felt like she was ready to show off her mistletoe senshi skills. She was feeling confident and ready to take on any challenge that came her way. She was ready to prove to the other senshis that she was a force to be reckoned with. Even if she couldn't help but be a little too jolly sometimes.
So here she was roaming the woods. She could smell the trees but other than that she didn't see much else. She decided to take a chance and explore the woods and see what she could find. She had a feeling that things were going to get interesting and she wanted to be ready for anything that came her way. With a determination and a bit of excitement, she forged ahead, ready to take on whatever adventure lay ahead.
"Well hopefully I can find something out here," she said to herself as she continued to look around. She really wanted this patrol to be different, and not just her just her usual uneventful one. Daekie Quick start for ya! Hope this works.

Really, now, had none of these people tramping around in the woods today ever learned to measure their step and walk silently in anything more wild than metal and concrete? To anyone else's ears whoever-this-was would've sounded no louder than anyone else, but Róka knew how to move silently through the damned bush, and it was
Irritating was the closest word, even if it implied some feeling, some emotion. Dislike was incorrect.
They were still firmly perched in the crux of a tree, half-hidden from view, with a piece of bark firmly clutched in one hand, and when the girl's shoulders came into view they chucked it at her.

Christabel was caught a little off guard when a piece of bark hit her right in the head. She came to a halt once the bark hit her. "Oww," she said as she rubbed her head with her left hand. Since when did bark fly? She thought as she quickly looked around to see where that flying bark might have come from. That was when she sensed it—someone magical was nearby. Was it nega or order? She had no idea. She quickly looked around for the source of her feelings but could not see anything. Her heart raced as she wondered who or what was nearby. She slowly backed away, her eyes darting around, looking for any sign of the mysterious presence. So she decided to just do it the easy way. "Hey, whoever is there, show yourself!" She tried as hard as she could to sound tough and brave, but anyone listening could still hear her jolly tone ringing through. She sounded like a kid trying to sound tough to their parents when they said no.

So she was just going to cry about it, effectively. What a wretch. (How could she know any better? Who could she even look to, to learn -- no. No reason to care about that or think of it at all.) Still, perhaps if they engaged with her she'd go on her way...
Róka rested one hand on their choker briefly and called up the magic located in it. She hadn't seen them in the first place. They had no need to waste their real face on her.
"Sorry about that," a lightly-accented voice called down, apologetic, and they gingerly scaled down from the tree. "Thought you were someone else."chi honda they have hangups about kids. one thrown item with intent to hurt totally counts as a battle...!! it's fine!! anyway they're using their personal item here -- While worn, for three hours a day Róka is protected by the same magic that separates civilian/magical identities, and cannot easily be identified as Sailor Róka. While this glamour is active, Róka appears as a slender fair-skinned human of ambiguous race and gender; their fuku is thematically similar to Róka's but only to a 'teammate' sort of extent. They have heavy-lidded black eyes, wavy teal hair pinned up under a newsboy hat, and a heart-shaped face. This glamour has no visible scars.

Christabel quickly reacted to the voice she heard. She closed her eyes, reached her hand into her pocket, grabbed a small Christmas cookie she was saving, and threw it in the voice's direction. Now, could she have used magic? Well, yes. But for some reason, that thought didn't cross her mind.
She slowly opened her eyes, unsure if the cookie had hit anything. As soon as she saw it, it was another person. She immediately said, "Oh, I'm so sorry! Are you okay?"
She was so concerned that she almost forgot that they had spoken to her. She quickly responded, "I'm okay, thank you. My head hurts a bit, but I'll be okay, don't worry!" She smiled as brightly as she could to show she was all right. She headed closer to them and said, "I'm Christabel, by the way. Sorry to meet you like this. You never know what is out in the woods."
She didn't mean to ramble, but her head still hurt. Plus with her added nervousness—well, it all adds up to her talking way too much.Daekie Totally understand. I figured a cookie might work from her end. lol. Sorry for the wait tho - life.

"I'll be fine," they said, dismissive. "Fallen out of enough trees that one -" a squint. They kneeled down to see what she'd thrown at them, what they'd sidestepped. A cookie? "- that one cookie won't do me any harm." Or she couldn't throw it hard enough to hurt them, which was mostly the same thing, not that they had any reason not to lie.
"I'm Harper. It's quiet enough out here, isn't it? Not too many people come out this far."

Christabel was so relieved that they were alright. She did not want to hurt someone with a cookie. That was not her plan today at all. "I'm so glad you are alright, and really? Doesn't it hurt? I've actually only fallen out of one tree I think maybe." she said as she tried to remember if that thing counted as a tree.
But she couldn't help but laugh a little bit when they picked up the cookie. "Well I'm happy to hear that. Since I did not want to hurt anyone with a cookie," she said in all honesty since she really liked her cookies. That's why she made them for her patrol. She figured she'd share her joy with anyone she might meet.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Harper. It is really quiet, but kind of peaceful too," she said as she looked around to see it was just the two of them. She was finally starting to feel calm as she pulled out her holly cookie tin full of Christmas sugar cookies. "You know I have some cookies if you'd like one. Maybe as an apology?"

"Fall out of enough trees from high enough and you develop a tolerance," "Harper" said with the tone of an injoke that Christabel wasn't privy to, "but what would I know, I've only done it a hundred times."
The girl was still a bit of a wretch in their professional and jaded opinion, but on the other hand, free food had always been the best way to earn their tolerance -- in this face or in their real one. Would they like a cookie? "Yes," they said empathetically.
Maybe she was more tolerable than half the little brats in this city. It didn't take much.chi honda i know it's been like nine months. don't look at me. i'm good to call this a fin on my post if you are just so it can be done
