Base Traits: Chivalrous. Sensitive. Insecure. Athletic. Caring. Gentle. Awkward. Personality: When Elias was a youngling, he was far different than he is now. He was energetic and chatty, sometimes both at once. There was little he enjoyed more than swinging around his wooden toy sword, pretending he was fighting off hordes of bad guys to protect his family home. Since than, he has a much calmer presence, often talking in a slower, softer tone of voice. Though he still enjoys swinging a sword around, now a real one, it is more for the exercise of it, to strengthen him body to carry it for longer periods of time. Unfortunately, this is turning into a bit of an obsession, as he strives to be better and better, forgetting that a body has a natural limit and he must not burn himself out.
But where he might not be taking as much care of himself as he should be, the youth is quite sensitive to the moods of others. He is extra gentle to those who need it, always working his best to make sure they are comfortable. This may come to bite him later on in life if he continues to remain so focused on others. His own father struggles with an inability to tell someone no when they need help and it seems the son may also be going down this route. Though he did learn some good behaviors from watching the older Leaf man. Elias is a very relaxed young man, difficult to rile up or offend. He's pretty forgiving when someone slips up, understanding easily that it happens to the best of us. Unfortunately, however, he himself can be quite vulnerable to criticism. He is not as secure in himself as he maybe appears, often judging himself based off his sister. Growing up, she was always the more intelligent of the two. He always knew she'd make it big somewhere, while he continues to remain content being at home. He feels as if he has no prospects for the future and is unsure what to do with his life, while she is intent on exploring the world around her. Elias often feels dumb or gullible and is very self-conscious about it.

Youngling Second child and first son of Kayde and Elka, Elias was born in Matori, not long after his parents settled there after 7 years of courtship in Jauhar. Both kids grew up by the sea, in a small house with a small yard, knowing nothing but a very simple life surrounded by the sights and smells of the ocean just off their doorstep. Where his sister embraced her intelligence, he wanted nothing more than to grow up to be a capable swordsman who could save people and help protect the world from all harm. Never seen without the toy sword in hand, he'd spend much of his time practicing on his own, trying out moves he had only read about in his storybooks. It was on one of these days, when he was swinging his toy sword around outside the dance school, waiting for his parents, that he met Cahira, a swordswoman. To his delight, she offered to take him on as an apprentice and teach him everything he wanted to know about the sword and fighting.
Than came the fight. Elias remembers it very vividly, as the most unsure and emotional time of his entire young life. He didn't understand the cause of it, he had been far too young. All of a sudden, his parents were behaving very differently to each other. Where once they had been loving and affectionate, now his father could hardly stand to be near his mother. This lasted for a very uncomfortable week or more, until both children couldn't take it anymore and ran away. Elias was caught soon after his attempt, letting spill all his fears that they were splitting up like he'd seen other families do. But no. Things soon went back to normal and the family found themselves moving into a large manor house a little ways away from their smaller cabin by the water.

Close Family Mother :: Elka Father :: Kayde Twin Sister :: Elenora
Deric :: Uncle, Ice, 30+ The only other family member not directly related to him who Elias had known growing up, a small look into his relatives on his mother's side. Deric shows up in Matori from time to time, conducting business for a grandfather Elias may never meet and has no intentions on seeking out. Both his uncle and mother have warned him the rest of the family up in Zena are not as friendly as Deric is. Deric adores his niece and nephew, often bringing them little gifts from Zena on his business trips down south. He even bought a manor with the intentions of mostly giving it over to the family so they could have all the room and luxury they could ever want. Though he stays there himself when he is in town.
Elenora :: Twin Sister, Leaf/Ice, Youngling Growing up, his sister's intelligence always made him feel like the dumbest kid in Tendaji. He would always get into trouble for making a mess and leaving it or making mistakes when he would try to do something good. Though his parents always tried to tell him otherwise, he still couldn't help feeling inadequate to her. Still, he kept this from her as much as possible so as not to worry her or make her feel bad about herself.
Elka :: Mother, Ice, 3rd Stage Elka can be a difficult person to deal with. She's a bit of a control freak, wanting things done a certain way and fussing over her family. Elias sometimes finds her hard to talk to, preferring his father over her when he's feeling insecure or upset about something. Still, she is his mother and takes very good care of him. He is very attached to her and can't imagine being away from her for too long.
Kayde :: Father, Leaf, 3rd Stage The easier of the pair to talk to, Elias enjoys talking to his father, often taking his problems to the Leaf for advice or comfort. Kayde would also act as Elias' sparring partner when the hybrid was a youngling, using a branch against his toy sword to help him practice his swordplay.

Cahira :: Fire/Water, 3rd Stage Part of the large family of dancers whose mother owned the dancing school his own parents attended, Elias met the older hybrid while he was at the school waiting for his parents. He had been instantly intrigued by her swordplay, running up to her and asking all the questions that his child's brain could think of. This soon turned into a fun time for the two, with one gaining an apprentice and the other a mentor. Elias as a teenager continues to take lessons from Cahira, until the time comes when he feels confident enough in his own skills.
Eingel :: Fire, 60+ An old Oban soldier Elias met once when he'd gotten separated from his mother while in town. Eingel was kind and took care of the youngling, telling him a story about his life to calm him down before going to look for his parent. They still meet sometimes when Elias is in town, Eingel still telling him various stories about his time in the army and living in Matori afterwards.
Minke :: Wind/Geian, Prentice An old childhood neighbor who lived a 30 minute walk down the beach until the family moved into the manor. Minke is a very quiet, apologetic hybrid who always shied away from the other boy. Since their sisters were friends, the two would see each other from time to time. They never had much interaction when they were younger, having an easier time bonding when both were in their late teens and Elias had calmed down from the energetic child he used to be. Now that Meine has gone over to Belrea to visit her uncle, the two have been spending more time together.
