The Spinach Wastes is the farmland on Earth where Ostrich Chickens live. It is located west of the Bamboo Forest, south of the Northern Mountains and north of Spindletop Flats. Several small villages are nearby.
Being this close to the mountains, they were just asking for a fever. Sadly no one seemed to be caring for them, so, she took it upon herself to save them. Wrapped in her jacket was a large, sick cat. She shifted her to one arm while fumbling for her keys. "C'mon, C'MON! where are the-?! There! " She began fumbling them into the lock when the door clicked open on its own.
"Pana? What are you doing here?" A large man opened the door and let her in. He was the lead vet, Dr. Oran. She was so happy he was here. "This cat, she's sick and pregnant. I-I couldn't let her...not when I can..." She was almost in tears when he took the cat from her and headed to one of the rooms in the back. "Well, it's lucky I was catching up on paperwork. C'mon then! We've got some lives to save! Get some Moxifloxacin. She'll likely have an infection causing this fever despite the weather this time of year." She nodded and went ot one of the storage rooms and carefully grabbed what she needed.
After 30 minutes the cat seemed to be breathing better, but was still having some labored breathing and had started crying out. Pana realized she was going into labor. So she held her down gently. "You got this momma! You've got this!" After another half hour she had removed four little balls of fluff and gunk. This however seemed to be all that the mother could muster to do. This however did not sit well with Pana. "NO. No you will not die on these beautiful babies! They won't make it without you!"
"P-Pana! You've not done this. Not with one so close!"
"I'm the only one who can do this! I have to try." She placed her hands over the mother and closed her eyes as her hands began to glow purple. "C'mon momma cat. Those babies need you!" The glow pulseed from her hands to the cat. for the next ten minutes she was determined to save this one cat. But it didn't seem like it would take.
"I-I'm sorry Pana. Not all lives can be sa-" he was cut off when he heard the kittens start crying out. "...I'll need to find a small box for them. And somewhere warm. I'll stay here with them and look for a home for them. You can go ho-""M-Mreow?"They looked to the mother whose eyes slowly opened. Pana held her down gently. She didn't want her getting too startled and getting hurt."Hey, it's okay. It's okay. They're not far. Dr.Oran is getting them now." The cat began crying out and listening for her kittens. Dr.Oran brought them over and set them near her, and she quickly began cleaning them. Pana fell to the floor exhausted. "You did good kid. You did good." She smiled and gave a weak thumbs up.

Ever since the disappearance of the strange warriors from another universe came up, Ryuzu has been quite on edge. Considering the knowledge that not only a whole different universe exist beyond this one, speaking with Kami about the strange clones that attacked him and Celes being gone...even during peace, he still was so sharp and focused. Hardly smiling ever trying to find ways of bringing Celes back. Shoot even telling Rawber about it was difficult. But what he did know was, he was simply not strong enough to handle it all. It's been a whole year since his return to Earth and barely got to actually enjoy it. Though there were good times. He and Rawber actually forged a bond stronger than he thought with Celes being the focal point between them. When he can, they usually train together. Betrute still follows behind him and Veera wherever they go...kind of strange especially with how he acts. Maybe more time on Earth will help soothe and keep his Saiyan nerves at a controllable level. With Veera, Ryuzu actually manage to solidifiy a romantic relationship with her. Using the 6 months to get to know her as a person than ever. Got her into the hang of an Earthly lifestyle as well as having another training partner to keep everyone sharp. He's been having a strange feeling ever since the last 6 months and this time he would be sure that everyone is strong enough to handle any situtation.
Around this time, Ryuzu alongside Veera decided to spend some time with Rawber after being introduced to his grandparents. They were nice folk, leaning that the saiyan bloodline is still a strong one despite Rawber being a half-breed. After eating, Ryuzu stepped out and changed into his usual saiyan attire before some stretching. "Dinner was nice Rawber, thanks for the invite. Would definitely do this again."
Ever since the events at the lookout Rawber had been a bit excited. It was amazing to learn of this other Earth and that there are warriors out there just like them who are also seeking to become stronger. Maybe someday he could find a way to visit them and test his strength against theirs. Maybe Kami could arrange something? He'd wait a bit and ask later.
He turned to his guests, something he never thought he'd have, well, besides Pana. It was a weird way to introduce himself; being told that Celes had disappeared into thin air. At first he wanted to deck Ryuzu for not saving her, but he took a moment to think on it and after hearing him out about her being swallowed by some pink blob, then being taken by people he couldn't sense, and then they disappeared into thin air, he decided if Ryuzu was gonna do his damnedest to get her back, so would he. So, he asked Ryuzu and Veera if they'd like to train on occasion.
It's nice having guests over. Sunday we have a big gathering of the saiyans and the families. It's to celebrate the arrival of my ancestors. You guys are more than welcome to join in. We'll have plenty of doctors on standby. My friend Pana will also be there. She's, uh, gifted in healing. It's hard to explain. Oh! We don't have much in the line of scenic attractions, but we have a ginormous lake that's great for fishing! Great exercise in swimming.

It was nice at least a little to get away from all that's happened up to this point. It allowed the Saiyan to at least breathe even if it was merely a little. A break was well needed. "Sunday you say? Well, we'll see. Does sound like it'll be interesting." Doing some light stretches, hopefully not allowing the food he consumed to stay in one spot. He could honestly go for a nice exercise to work the food off but he didn't want to pest so to speak. Silence came upon Ryuzu afterward though as the thoughts of Celes entered his mind once more. "I'm not really sure but I think I know someone who could provide us answers to the whole Celes kidnapping mystery Rawber...it's a long shot but I'm sure that he could help us out.
"Oh yeah? That's great, but, the way you say 'he' makes me think you don't want to talk to this guy. Is there something about this guy you don't trust?" He hoped whoever it was wouldn't be too much an issue. Although, if it brought Celes back, he could handle it. Maybe. "They're uhh...not gonna do anything weird, are they?"

XXXSix months since the end of that day and life for Veera had gotten better. She had learned more about how to be an Earthling then she knew before, even figuring out what the Earthlings called a job. Thankfully Ryuzu had introduced her to a job that would still put her years of training to good use and allow her integrate further into the Earthling culture. Speaking of Ryuzu, she found she fell in love with him more by the day. They had really taken the time to get to know one another and had started properly courting. She knew in her mind that her father would approve of her choice of a husband. The information of her being usurped stayed in the back of her mind and she was almost constantly thinking of ways to get her throne back when she wasn't busy doing something. Though between Ryuzu and Berute she almost always had some form of distraction to help take her mind off of it. Coming to Rawber's for dinner was another of the welcomed distractions. She enjoyed seeing others of her race at any chance she got. Especially the full bloods that truly shared the instincts and mindset she had grown up with. Following the boys out, she stretched and smiled in contentment. The prospect of a Saiyan gathering and the chance to fight several strong instantly had her blood boiling as a wide grin spread on her face. Oh they'd surely have plenty of fun with that. Especially since it seemed that holding back wasn't a requirement since he said there would be plenty of healers. She could finally let loose on someone other then Ryuzu, and even then she tried to avoid hurting him. Her tail tip twitched in excitement as Ryuzu seemed to agree. As far as she knew they weren't doing anything special that day and she didn't have to work. "As far as I know our schedule is clear that day so unless something comes up." She shrugs before Ryuzu started talking about the heavy subject of Celes again. She felt the sting of being unable to help her again and her grin faded. Six months she had been gone and Veera was unable to do a damn thing or help other then try and keep Ryuzu from beating himself up to badly. She knew this was going to take a bit and she sighed, deciding now was the time to take a flight to relax. Turning to Berute, she looked between him and Ryuzu. It would be nice to not have eyes on her for a bit. Grinning, she walked over and wrapped her arms around Ryuzu's waist before placing a peck to his neck. "I'm going to go for a quick flight and I'll be back. Keep an eye on Berute for me while I'm gone and make sure he stays out of trouble. Berute, listen to what Ryuzu tells you and don't follow me." She said before letting Ryuzu go and quickly taking off before he could try any sort of argument or rebuttal. She needed some alone time to sort out her thoughts. [Exit]
XXXXX 1] Having spent the past 6 months of peace guarding princess Veera, Betrute had significantly more free time to spend training then he was use to. Normally he would be going straight from one mission to another all in the mist of constant deadly combat, and the lack of that constant combat regularly makes Betrute uncomfortable in a way that he can only distract himself from by either training or hunting animals.
XXXXX 2] Looking annoyed after Veera ordered him not to follow her and leaving before he had an opportunity to protest, gave a fierce glace to Ryuzu and says "I'm going to go train, don't bother me unless you want to get hurt." before stepping out to the backyard and setting his sights on some squirrels that have knocked over a bird feeder and are to busy gorging themselves to notice him. Then a horribly wicked grin comes across Betrute's face as he takes aim at one of the squirrels with a finger.
XXXXX 3] A blood red beam then fires from Betrute's finger as he starts laughing manically while saying "None of you are escaping me this time squirrels, cus I will make sure you will rue the day you stole my sundae by killing every last one of you." Then Betrute's right eye starts twitching as he starts firing more beams at the other squirrels as they start to flee in response to his first beam decapitating the fattest squirrel.
XXXXX 4] Betrute's beams quickly slaughter all but one of the fleeing squirrels. The one squirrel that remained alive had been struck in the legs and now trying it's best to crawl away despite two of it's legs getting crippled, but Betrute quickly runs up to the crawling squirrel and lifts it by the tail. He then laughs manically again as he charges up a shine shot in his other hand. Then, once the shine shot is fully charged, Betrute slowly lowers the crippled squirrel and watches it get vaporized with a sadistic look of pleasure on his face.

┗ Still among his thoughts, he barely caught Rawber's retort with a question of his own. "On the contrary, I'm going to speak to Kami, maybe he can provide us with a lead or something of the sort. It's possible the strange demon monster and Celes's kidnapping could be connected." Feeling a soft peck on the back of his neck brought a bit of warmth to his heart. He never had imagined having fallen for a woman with his focus so highly on guarding the planet, nor had he thought it would end up with Veera no less. But the time they spent together practically wrote them together and even though it's still fairly recent, he felt inseparable to her. Though, it came as a shock that she wanted to leave for some alone time and leaving the kid alone with him to babysit. He and Betrute still weren't on 'proper' terms, given the fact he's solely following orders and never relaxing. He had thought some time on Earth would help change that, maybe it did and Ryuzu just didn't see it. Before he can even get a word to retort back, Veera had scurried off into the distance. "Wonder what she would be planning in going that direction."
Betrute faced him insinuating not to bother him as he would head off to train. Before heading off into the distance to kill some animals. A giant sight and a facepalm was all that Ryuzu naturally responded with at everything that had transpired. Just great indeed. But training wasn't really a bad idea, and he needed to speak with Kami anyway so he came up with an idea. Turning back to Rawber, he respectfully had to give his gratitude. "Thanks again for dinner by the way, I'm going to meet up at Kami's now to see what information I can gather, maybe after we can have a training session of our own." Sensing over to Betrute's location, he flashstepped over to Betrute to fill him in. "Hey we're going to Kami's, you can continue your training there. I'm sure he's got a suitable partner for you up there. The quicker the better." Stating as he floated into the air before taking off to Kami's Lookout, leaving Rawber behind. ┓

Rawber had thought about following Ryuzu to Kami's, but decided he could wait for him to get back. Instead he went to go see if Pana had gotten off work yet. He rose up into the air, but looked back to Betrute thinking it'd be rude to leave him alone.Even if he does seem a little...okay, a lot off. "I don't suppose you'd want to follow me? I'm gonna go see if my friend is off work yet. It's not really all that far from here. We'd be back before either of them return."
XXXXX His training interrupted by Ryuzu's telling him that "we're going to Kami's" and Rawber's asking if he wants to go with him to see a friend of his, Betrute just loudly lets out an annoyed grunt before flying off on his own in a direction similar to the one Veera left in.

As he approached the Vet's office he saw a familiar shape approach him. "Pana!" As he got closer he realized she looked fairly tired. "Hey, are you okay? You look lik-uh, you look tired." he chuckled nervously "I believe you were gonna say I look like s**t, right? Yeah. It's been a bit of a night for me you?.""Saw a kid disintegrate a squirrel and eat three times his weight in pork, so, interesting to say the least.""Okay. i have to hear about the pork. Was he like ravenous or civil? And could I get a shoulder?"She wrapped her arm around him and they flew towards her house."It's Betrute. It was ravenous. That kid is something else i tell ya." They laughed as they flew
As they approached her house they heard a faint explosion from the south. "The only thing that way is huge open plains.""Satan City. Not much there since it was destroyed. " they looked at each other and nodded "You can make it in safe, right?" she looked at him confused, then gave him a stern glare "There could be people who stayed and are now hurt. I'm going with.""But-!""Yours is gonna get kicked if you argue anymore about this!" he was taken aback by this sudden attitude. He could not however argue her point. If there were people hurt he didn't have the gear or power to save lives. "If it gets bad, you run. Take whoever you can save and run."" I can fight too, I'll have you remember.""You're fast and can mes someone up internally like it's no ones job but yours, sure, but there are people out there that can lay waste to the very ground beneath their feet by raising the power in their toe because they don't feel like curling it to pop it. If it comes to it, run." she could tell he was serious. Not a side of him she was used to."Fine. Lets go."
