Challenge: Blind Tea Tasting; guess five in a row correctly. Purpose: Just for fun. Prize(s): - 1st: Private and romantic dinner-for-two at the tea shop (to be redeemed up to the end of the current year). - Runner-ups include a booklet of 5 coupons for one free tea or treat viable for this year (purchases not necessary) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hosted by Heart of Eterni-Tea's Owners, Ms. Yukiko and Mr. Ichirou Tora Each contestant is given a glass of water and pencil at the beginning of the challenge; giving them a new ballot each round with five names. They will have 3 minutes between each round to drink water and cleanse their pallets.
Rules: XX1) You may only enter one character at a time; total of 3 applicants at a time. XX2) You can only enter said character once; your character cannot enter the challenge again after losing/winning. XX3) There are 5 rounds, winner is determined by a 1-100 Post Action: Random Number. (1-25: cannot figure out the flavors; 26-50: complex, but they can get closer to identifying some of the flavors; 51-75: It's on the tip of your tongue but you just cannot get it all; 76-100: You know which tea it is and you guess correctly.) XX4) Winner is determined by the most guessed correctly. (Example: Speaking role-play-wise, if you roll between 76-100 you know what tea it is. So, assuming one rolls say a 1 and another a 60 in one round, the person with 60 wins cause they guess the most ingredients, but cannot guess the tea.) XX5) Each person may post Once before we move on to the next round.

It wasn't quite what he had been expecting; he had been expecting a more enclosed and private atmosphere, given it was a tea contest, but he supposed for this event they'd want others to watch. Though he did wonder who would watch a tea contest; participate he could understand, but watching others drink tea just to guess it...wasn't exactly Garrets idea of time well spent. But that was him, and rarely were people like himself... 'And I shall not let a small thing like being watched stop me from competing.' He silently resolved to himself. It was not like he would truly be focused on the crowd regardless; he may need all his senses intact if he wanted to guess what was in the tea. As he looked towards the stage, he would study it a bit more. While not sure on exact measurements, the stage was large enough to comfortable seat two tables on it and have space left over. One of the tables was fairly big and had three seats on it, having it so that the seats would make the contestants face the audience. Which was good since that was the purpose of it being outdoors, or so he presumed. Beside it was a noticeably smaller table; a table that seemed dedicated to tea prep alone, as he recognized the equipment and such needed to make tea (besides the actual tea, which seeing the black unmarked bottles, he assumed it was that). He would also see a large podium, closer to the audience with the tables behind them, though he was unsure if it was to speak of the competition there to audience or not and declare a winner. His mind for competition having an odd split; if it were a more private setting, he would assume the judge. In more open settings, his mind usually defaulted to an announcer type figure. So, he was a bit unsure but didn't waste too much time thinking on it for now with a small shrug of his shoulders.
As he arrived, the stage was momentarily empty, but that would soon change. He would notice a female tigress, by her tail and ears, had come out and was walking towards where he assumed the sign-up sheet was. He only just barely recognized it as an actual tail rather than part of her outfit due to the ears, as the tail seemed to wrap around her waist like a sash. As far as he could see for the moment, she was weaponless. But that wasn't much of a surprise; it was a mix of whether people had weapons or not during the festival, as many felt it safe not to. Something, regardless of feeling safe or not, he rarely did since their eternal enemy knew not sleep or peace. Wearing a rather extravagant attire, something that made this seem more than a tea competition, the tigress seemed to be the one in charge. Or at the very least wanted to command the attention of most, as the outfit did go well with her; even if it didn't seem the best for if a fight broke out. Though again he supposed during this festival...a fight breaking out seemed unlikely. 'Though it would liven things up.' He thought with an internal chuckle. He would make his way to her, be her hostess or no, as it seemed she was moving with a purpose. Once close enough, he would speak. "Pardon my intrusion, but would you know where I can sign up for the competition?" He would ask plainly, and for now, politely. He wanted a correct answer and straight answer for now at least. If she turned or met his gaze, he would hold it in turn. Unlike most people...physical looks didn't really affect if a person was attractive to him or not. So, the revealing top of her outfit held no interest to him.

Eszter had no real idea of where she was going to go after leaving Virulent’s Information Shop. Garret was long gone by the time she managed to wiggle away, the crowds at the beach and the festival were not helping at all. Still perhaps it was a good thing as it meant she wouldn’t have to worry about how she would confront him so soon. Taking in a deep breath she calmed herself putting her emotions into check. Feeling is a choice. You pick how you feel. I am safe. I am well. There is no need to feel anything else. This sort of thought was a type of mantra for her, keeping herself calm and joyful. Happiness is a decision. It is not a result.
Clapping her hands together she was back to her cheerful self. ”Tea sounds good!” Her voice uttered outloud to no one but herself, her sudden “outburst” startling a few nearby students. She laughed softly and apologized as she made her way to the place she knew was the best tea shop in town. She was quite a loyal customer, or so she liked to think. Sadly she had not been able to come by as often as she would have liked as of late. Perhaps coming now would make up for it.
Fortunately she did not have to walk far from where she left Virulent. She had seen signs of the shop opening up an area at the beach for the festival, what she hadn’t read was that it was for a competition, so when she arrived she was of course surprised. ”Oooooh a tea competition.” She stated with unusual excitement for such an event. Making her way towards the one incharge she spoke again. ”Is there room for another contestant?” Eszter asked politely, her voice slowly trailing off as she met the one person she had in a way been avoiding thinking about. Garret was here? And going to participate? This was not something she ever expected from him, though that was based on knowing him as a child. He was far from that now. He was a grown man… Her face flushed for a moment before she quickly shook her head from side to side. There was no point in feeding such thoughts.
Cecil looked around the tea shop, with him having to take the time to himself while Ridley and Adam took Azura away to keep her distracted. He was still on a cane but he was determined to take the victory for this one as he approached the booth that was infront of a stage. He had heard the rumors from a few students who were contemplating on joining but weren't tea conniseurs so they chose to not sign up. He bowed his head to the host before he looked to see the two other competitors to the contest. "Guess this won't be as easy of a victory as I had hoped." He stated softly aloud before he looked around, seeing no one standing at the actual booth. He felt a bit confused before he walked away, scratching the side of his head while his cane remained in his left hand.
He wondered where the sheets were before he looked to the female tigress just beside the stage along with the two contestants, he soon hobbled his way over, still using his cane, before he approached the trio. The stage was empty for now, the seats before just barely getting seated as he looked to the rather lightly dressed tigress, whose outfit did make Cecil blush before he shook his head, mentally cursing himself. 'Darn it... it just has to be this kind of weather for this stuff...... would Azura look good in that kind of outfit?' He soon facepalmed as he shook his head again. "S-Sorry about that, i-is this the area for the tea competition I've been hearing about?" He asked the tigress along with Garret before he chuckled nervously. "A-And hello there, my name is Cecil, pleased to meet newcomers." He told Garret and Eszter. α в ¢ ∂ є ƒ g н ι נ к ℓ м η σ ρ q я ѕ т υ ν ω χ у

Yukiko Akemi Tora Heart of Eterni-Tea Owner
The tall and voluptuous white tiger faunus dressed in a sensuous kimono that complimented her assets walked with an air of self-confidence and absurdness as she walked out of the tent for their business. With a feline grace and proper posture, she smiled kindly as she made her way over to check on the sign-up sheet; her tail wrapped around her waist as she did. Her smile was playful when she saw three others walk up, assuming they were there to sign up for the competition."Well, hello there,"Yukiko greeted with a purring undertone.'He's cute...but, his heart is for someone else,'The tigress thought in seeing his reaction and so took it to be professional.
"You're in the right place,"Yuki told him and handed Garret the sign-up sheet from the podium's cubby. Though she was used to stares of admiration, this one did no such thing; despite her outfit.'He's an interesting one,'Yuki thought before Garret would finish signing up."Thank you for signing up, I wish you luck,"Ms. Tora purred, before handing the sign-up sheet to the next person, a young girl she knew well as one of her regulars.
'Oh, she's cute...I think Alex and Kayla would agree,'Yuki thought for a second, thinking of her lovers before returning attentions to the girl."Always, Eszter. I hope you have fun and thank you,"Yuki replied. After the girl signed up, she would have the next contestant sign in. The third, a young man, much younger than the previous, and seeming so innocent and sweet.'Aw, he's so cute,'Yuki thought, thinking of him like a little boy."Hello, sweetheart,"Yuki greeted, seeing his blush, she thought it amusing as she smiled and gave him a playful wink."Your lady fair must be a lucky woman. I wish you luck,"Ms. Tora teased a little before addressing all three at once."You all have about ten minutes until we begin. Then you will be sitting at the table on stage. Any questions,"Yuki told them, giving them a little bit of time to settle in on stage before the competition really began to ask anything they wished.

Golden eyes would turn to regard the new person curiously; seeing a tall, if shorter than him, woman with blue hair and pink/ violet eyes. To her inquiry, his eyes would only move to the hostess and back for a moment. That was not a question he had an answer for, given he only just asked now if this was where the sign-ups were. While his gaze was more casual/ curious, he was trying to study her at least a little bit. 'She does not seem as much a threat physically...But this is a competition that relies on taste and knowledge more than anything else.' He silently thought to himself, still uncertain of what to expect from his potential competition. For now though, he would remain silent. Introductions could come about after signing up at the least. Again, before anything was said, they would get another person joining them. This time it was a male who was a bit shorter than the girls present, if not by much. He had brown hair and eyes, but the most distinctive part of him was the cane he was using to walk. Garret was a bit confused at the mans blush and face palming as the new guy shook his head. That is until he followed where his eyes had been then back to the boy. He mentally just shrugged, knowing some people were very affected by the looks of others. He would apologize and ask if this was the area for the tea competition; again, something Garret would leave the hostess to answer. Mostly because if she was running the event, she should be the one to answer; and may not like others answering for her. However his other words he could answer. As the hostess also offered greetings and gave him the sign up sheet, Garret would give a respectful nod of his head to the three. "Thank you and greetings. My name is Garret, and I wish you both luck in the competition. May the best tea-connoisseur win." He would say simply and politely...until the last bit. A small smile playing his lips as he had an air of confidence to him. He would fill out the form neatly yet swiftly, a bit of pride in it if he had the chance to win after all, before gently handing it back to the hostess. Giving her a friendly smile as she took it; a bit uncertain of why her voice seemed to hold a purr to it but not really thinking much of it.
Now that he was signed up, Garret would step away to give space for the other two to go ahead and sign up. Arms crossed and spears still comfortable on his back for now. He was trying to study the younger one now as well; though, while seeming a bit injured, he couldn't place his capabilities. Neither physically nor for the competition at hand. She would address the female contestant as Eszter, which helped Garret know who was who at the moment at least. Besides the hostess herself, though he could always ask later. As Eszter finished, Garret still trying to think up a nickname for her and Cecil, he would see the hostess begin to tease the boy a bit. Which Garret found partially amusing even if he hid it. Once he finished, the hostess would move on to address them all. She would inform them they had ten minutes before the competition started, and that they would all be sitting at the table on stage at that point. Garret would nod before hearing her ask if there were any questions. Garret would think for a moment, not really having any for the competition save rules, before speaking. "Besides the rules of the competition being clarified, I do not have any others save what to address our hostess as?" He would speak plainly, being a more serious question as his tone seemed a bit more thoughtful. To him, besides the rules of competition and her name, there was little else to ask. Though regardless of her answer...he may get a nickname for her anyway. Though it was always good to know the actual name of someone.

Eszter still could not believe her luck, or lack thereof, to find Garret so soon. Now was not the time and place to delve into their shared history, one she doubted he remembered, though there was one way of finding out. Smiling sweetly at the hostess, Garret and the new male that joined them she did a playful curtsy and introduced herself. ”Eszter Sasan.” She greeted them beaming joyfully. It had not gone over her head how Garret had not introduced himself using his last name. Was he not one to use her full name? Why would he? Both their names meant little to those in Vale. Vacuo’s “royalty” was known mostly among Vacuo citizens, if they cared to know. Eszter was aware Sasan was far from a common name, as far as she was aware she was the only one who bore it, so she watched Garret closely between her happy eyes to see if it triggered anything within him.
”It is a pleasure to meet you all,” she added shortly after she stated her name as she took a seat. ”I believe I should give you men some fair warning~, tea is the love of my life, I will not go down easy” Eszter joked with a playfully threatening face. Sure she may drink tea every day but did she have the taste buds to guess ingredients? That’s what this game was for was it not?
”Ooooh should we raise the stakes!? Make little bets among ourselves, we have to do if we lose? Make it new ones every round~” Eszter could resist the urge to potentially embarrass Garret if he did lose a round.
Cecil listened to the voluptuous tiger as his face got redder from her calling him a sweetheart. 'S-Sweetheart?!' His mind slightly fried before he shook his head and listened to her words as she spoke and then winked at him. 'S-She's too flirtatious!' He swallowed hard before he spoke. "T-Truly it is I who is lucky to have her. And thank you Miss." He told her before he bowed and listened to her while he signed the sheet, they had 10 minutes to prepare and shook his head at the question for questions. He soon rejoined Garret at the stage as he never responded to him and soon stood straight, the cane still helping him stand. "My apologies for not responding sooner, I-I didn't expect the host to be um.... like that." He told Garret while moving to seat himself at the table and soon said. "I wish you and Miss Sasan." He told Garret and Sasan as they all got adjusted at the table. Althought he did notice Eszter has a bit of a betting problem already as she was trying to raise the stakes of the competition. "I-I mean, we're already on a professional stage with people preparing to watch. Adding onto the prize at hand between us three would make it a bit more difficult to enjoy the tea and make it more stressful than relaxing." He told her calmly.

Yukiko Akemi Tora Heart of Eterni-Tea Owner
The hostess was enjoying the enthusiasm of these first contestants. Each had their own little way of looking at this competition, and it made the tigress smile. Once they all introduced themselves, Ms. Tora would smile kindly to Garret's question."You may call me either Yukiko or Ms. Tora. I'm fine with either,"Yukiko replied politely, her ice-blue eyes looking him over casually before she would look over the others in much the same yet discreet manner before moving on to the young woman.'She's as energetic as ever,'The tigress thought with a soft giggle.
Her tail that was previously wrapped around her waist unfurled and began to sway lightly behind her as she walked. Deciding to spare the boy after teasing him so much, the tigress would merely bow."So you both sound like you are lucky. I wish you happiness on your path. Wherever it may lead,"Yuki responded with sincere kindness before she would address the trio about having ten minutes.'Oh dear...'Yuki thought as she heard some rowdiness up front which had her tiger ears perking. She would smile kindly."Rules shall be discussed a minute before the competition. If you would excuse me,"Ms. Tora said, a purring undertone with complete calm.
With that, Yukiko would saunter off calmly to the front of the tent.'Oh? Why is it always the young...Oh well,'Yuki thought as she casually walked over to two young men that were clearly taller than herself. Ignoring the rude cat-calls, she would call them over."I'm only going to ask once. Please take your rowdiness elsewhere,"Yuki warned. The human boys didn't seem to like that, telling her they liked being there. She shook her head delicately and gave them a regal smile.'Oh dear,'Yuki thought as a delicate lacy red aura appeared around her as she firmly smacked away a hand that came towards her."You should really know better, children,"Yuki said as a dark cloud appeared above the boys as they were close together, instantly being rained on. Surprised, the boys would look up and dodge a lightning strike just in time. Those waiting in line knew Yuki pretty well, so they knew better than to intervene with her battles.
"The next one won't miss. I don't want to hurt you, but I do wish for respect. Think you can do that,"Ms. Tora responded to being asked if she was crazy as they backed away. But, once they saw the cloud following them, they quickly began to promise not to be trouble."Thank you,"Yuki told them with poise and grace. The cloud above the now soaked young men disappearing with her smile as she turned and walked with a bit of feline sway back to the stage and the three contestants. Acting as if nothing happened.

Ichirou Shinobu Tora Chef and Co-owner of Heart of Eterni-Tea
Upon his sister going out to check on the list, Ichirou would take charge of both cooking and taking orders from customers. Which a lot were regulars."What is taking her so long?"He thought before he figured someone probably walked up to sign-up by now. Though he was a shy tiger faunus, he did well to hide it when he had to be up front. Due to his size, he'd been thankful that the tent was tall enough that he did not have to bend or kneel, but he could cook in peace.
And then the commotion...He frowned and at first, went in back of the tent to see that others would not start trouble. What the contestants would see is a lean-muscled white tiger faunus almost, if not as tall, as Garret in a sleeveless dark shirt/fitted-tunic over tan pants, with arm- and leg-guards. His white hair with black streaks was currently in a net to keep it out of foods; his tail also seeming netted for the same purposes."Just sit tight, Yuki will return shortly,"He told them, his voice on the deeper side of baritone, just in case they heard anything; which was not impossible."I hope I'm right,"He thought to himself, giving them a kind smile that seemed to get a bit...shy when icy-blue/green eyes looked to Ester before returning to normal. He would then bow and re-enter the tent to continue with his business.

Sasan seemed...vaguely familiar to him, but he could not quite recall why it did. He did not think he had seen her before; but perhaps he had overheard it at one point or another since he was frequently in Vale. Or maybe he had met her on his travels in the past? He truly was uncertain why he felt a vague familiarity, but chose to push it aside for the time being at least. His mind more so on the tea competition than anything else. Garret would also get a response from the Tigress; Yukiko or Ms. Tora. 'With that learned, all that is left is a nickname perhaps.' He thought to himself silently, though none immediately sprang to his mind at the present time. Removing his spears from his back, mostly because he could not sit with them on very well, he would have them leaning on the table close by him; within easy reach if the need should arise. Seating himself at the table, leaving the boy named Cecil at the mercy for the Tigress, he would see Eszter also seating herself as well. His attention being drawn to her as she said it was a pleasure to meet them, and add on a warning that it would be no easy task to defeat her. Garret smiled at the friendly challenge given; glad it would not be the type where no contestant spoke or there would be no added excitement to it. "As a person who enjoys tea, I look forward to the challenge then. It shall be interesting to see which of us has the best knowledge by the end of this." He would say, keeping the casual yet confident smile to his face as he leaned back in his chair slightly. Though his posture was still mostly upright and arms crossed in front of his chest.
They would be rejoined by Cecil as he apologized for not responding sooner due to having the attention of the Tigress. Making Garret stifle a small chuckle at the thought, though glad the boy seemed to have recovered a bit from it as he stood straight while using his cane. Garret would just shake his head, indicating Cecil didn't need to apologize for it. Before Garret would speak though, his ears would perk and eyes be drawn to Eszter as she mentioned raising the stakes to this competition. Having bets made that need be performed if they lost the round. Garret had to admit the thought did intrigue him about it; it would liven things up and make them all the more invested in trying to win the competition. Still pondering it, Cecil would be the first one to speak; saying that they were already on stage and that the betting would just make the tea less enjoyable and the competition more stressful. Which, while Garret could understand his reasoning, he did like the added challenge and motivation to things. He was going to respond when he heard some noise from the front of the tent; Yukiko saying rules would be addressed a minute before the competition started and to excuse her for a moment before she would leave to presumably check out what was happening. Curious eyes would follow, but as she disappeared around the tent, to would return to those around him. "If we were to raise the stakes, what do you have in mind? I would not be opposed to having the stakes be for the very end of the competition rather than each round." Garret would simply yet curiously respond to the girl. Proposing a middle response where there would only be one punishment at the end, if the boy was worried more about having to do things during the competition.
Though Garret would soon find his attention taken at the sound of a lightning strike. Turning his head towards the source, towards the tent, he would see a dark cloud above it. Which was odd given that...there was no other clouds in sight. 'What is going on?' He wondered to himself silently, close to getting up to investigate till another person entered the scene; if briefly. It was a tall, lean-muscled, white tiger faunus who had a dark tunic over tan pants that sported arm and leg guards. What was most curious though was that, besides his hair, his tail also seemed to be in a net. The hair one he could understand if he were a cook, though he was a bit confused at seeing one for a tail; something Garret hadn't really seen before. He would tell them to sit tight and that Yuki would return shortly before leaving with a bow and smile. Making Garret curious what drew him out and why he was so certain all would be well; though he proved right as Garret would notice Yukiko soon coming back at her own relaxed pace. With the mysterious cloud from earlier gone as well. Leaving Garret curious as to if she were the cause of the cloud or no, but he couldn't be certain. Eyes returning to the other two contestants now.

Of course one of them had to be the one to ruin the fun. With still a smile on her face, Eszter let out a sigh as she plopped her head into her palm, her elbow resting on the table. Her eyes trailed after the hostess as she began to leave curious as to what was going on, but seeing as she was there to enjoy the day and pick up whatever she could on Garret, she would not focus on the woman. The fact Garret thought a bet would make things interesting caused her to small more brightly, her eye twinkling as she plotted the ways she could bring Garret to his knees, but she would do none of that, instead, she would wave her free hand at Cecil. ”Seee? Now that is a man who knows how to have fun. And pffft…. how stressful can a tea competition be?” She commented as her attention caught onto another tiger coming in their direction, this time a male.
Hair net… and tail net?.... The mysterious cook of tea cake wonders! Thought Eszter to herself having enjoyed many of the shops’ cakes before, though this was her first time truly interacting with the owners, as she tended to keep to herself when drinking tea. In silence she watched as he spoke a bit shyly, her eyes clearly meeting his, the color shift catching her off guard for a brief moment, but she remained quiet through it all. Eszter merely nodded her head in understanding. She was in no rush what so ever. As long as Virulent had no need of her, she could do as she pleased.
Returning her attention to her competition she sat up straight and returned to the bet conversation. ”There is no point making bets if one of us isn’t going to enjoy it. So, maybe if we ever confront each other again,” she stated speaking with both of them in the beginning and by the end focusing on Garret.
”So, what do you guys do?” There was no way she was sitting in silence until the Tigress returned. May as well make conversation.

Cecil could hear the commotion as he looked towards the tent to see both Tigers leaving, one to tend to somewhere else and the male coming towards them. He raised his hand as the man told them Yuki would return shortly as he smiled. "O-Oh, alright then." He told the man as he nodded his head for the moment as he looked to Garret and smiled as the man was shaking his head. He soon looked to Estzer as Garret had asked her up on the challenge, causing him to bring his right hand up to pinch the bridge of his nose. "Sometimes just the basic challenge can be fun. To ask for more means you'll never be satisfied." He responded while he sat at the table. He felt lost before he closed his eyes. She made her side way comment and it caused him to look to her before he soon said. "If you're that bothered by me not enjoying a bet then fine. I'll partake." He told her while he looked to Garret and the man tiger who left them after alerting them to a late start. "Got a clue as to what occured with her?" He asked as Garret for his thoughts on what happened before he heard Eszter. "I attend Beacon Academy, going to become a huntsman like my father before me." He told her, a slight smile on his face.
