Nabuya did some stuff around here.

__ Throughout the years Nabuya toiled away in and operated out of decrepit shrine temple ground. Given the presence of a smithy he had to repair, Nabuya was led to believe it probably used to be a training temple for those strange Seinaru Enjo clan war monks he'd heard of since taking residence in the Land of Iron. He had been keeping to himself and gathering information while enjoying a sort of vacation from a piece of the world where ninja influence was nearly nonexistent. Over they years he finished a variety of projects with his true memories returned from their restraints. Those in charge of the clan were thorough in the measures taken for his exile. However, they weren't aware that he was truly the chosen of their god. They, who turned their backs on the old teachings of Il Palazzo to adopt a lie crafted by their own god as a test. "The fools. Pfteh!!" Nabuya recalled his feelings of spite as he spat into the forge's flames. His foreign mystical arts of spirit smithing made greater use of the ramshackle forge than most others could even dream. His revived talents in various crafts allowed him to spawn four unique swords and his spirit armors. Eihei, The Guardian, a kodachi of a broad-bladed design with punishing defensive traits. Sarutahiko, The Trickster, another kodachi with a tight, upward-curving hook at the base of its blade and a flexible pair of agile maneuvers. Omoikane, the source of his restored memories and salvation incarnate. The impressively sturdy bokken-like weapon harbored many powers over the mind. Lastly and most importantly, was Oinari. His true guardian and uncontested conscience. The word of Il Palazzo spilled from Oinari's thoughts and sometimes from her lips when she would grace him with her presence. The katana's artful abilities defined Nabuya for who and what he was, and how his god blessed him to achieve his destiny. The Yorei and Seiyuwagi armors drew from the powers O-Inari blessed all Yozen with and those chaotic powers were exceptionally strong for it. With such tools, and the empowering fuuinjutsu enchantments he'd crafted for several of them, Nabuya was confident that the downfall of shinobi was nearly at hand. Nabuya would return his focus to the present as he set his weapons aside to begin the meditation training that Oinari had been nagging him to complete.

__ With much of his training complete, Nabuya followed the advice of Oinari. He sat in a meditative pose in a decrepit temple in the Land of Iron, outside of Zaishin's walls. Nabuya didn't have to try hard to start getting a feel for the natural energies around him. Drawing them to himself was much like using his blessed seal's powers to enhance his strength. His mind was spread outwardly as he continued his meditation.

Not even the strong, frigid mountainous breeze caused him to lose focus. The snow laying around the temple grounds was only piling higher. However, the flakes seemed to actively avoid the shrine he meditated near. It was like the nihilistic forces which Nabuya relied on were afraid of his presence. That just wouldn't do for him. He focused more, and would be able to sense subtle changes in the way the snow began to fall afterward.

The clouds above indicated that more severe weather could arrive at any moment. Even so, this really didn't bother him while he focused on his meditations. If anything, the crispness of the air and the chilled bite he felt in his mouth was refreshing. Nabuya attempted to reach out further. His control only continued to grow.

He could sense this to be true as he noted another subtle change in the way the snow was falling. Effectively, the frozen precipitation was now turning back inwardly toward the shrine. The swirling winds helped to keep evenly distribute the snow around the temple grounds. With hours going by, Nabuya was starting to lose his patience.

The markings of Oinari's Blessing began to spread across his body, originating the blessed seal over his heart. Nabuya chose to limit how far he'd go into his transformed state to expedite the meditation mandated by Oinari. The air around him became notable denser and somehow even colder as she seized an exponentially greater range of control over the surrounding natural energies. The snow rapidly fell and was stirred into a blizzard rather preemptively by nature's standards. With another push he forced himself to briefly take on the form of his fully unleashed power. This would wreath the mountain in storming frozen clouds. However, just as soon as it started, the storm would suddenly break in response to Nabuya's will. He gradually returned himself to normal as he continue to control the environmental phenomena. By the time his blessed seal was dormant again, the mountain was clear of weather and the heavy snow clouds overhead had dispersed. His eyes motioned toward Zaishin. It was somewhat visible from his mountaintop, and an ominous feeling from the great samurai city brought a scowl to his face. Nabuya began his decent from the mountain to investigate, almost hoping that his gut feeling was right. The day to turn his blade against the vile, worthless shinobi was quite possibly near. Natural energies swelled within him but he would use his skills to mask his true strength, as he always had done since coming to the Land of Iron several years ago.

__ The dreary, dilapidated Seinaru Enjo monastery remained a passable residence as he lingered in the Land of Iron. The potent, untapped natural energies of the location was a boon, to so say the least. He used the isolated location to bide his time and consider his options. Of those options, continuing to strengthen his bonds with the natural energies of this world were deemed worthwhile. Nabuya would meditate for hours before and then after pushing his senjutsu techniques to their current limits. Figuring it out by himself all over again for a while tested his mind and spirit, and those tests started to become narcotic in his time of accepting his failure to meddle with the Raiu clan's destruction. At least it was satisfying to have a part in making those jokes from the Land of Fire stay out of the ordeal.

O-Inari was his primary conscience to maintain a daily regimen. She began to guide and advise him in matters of Evergreen's realm. Secrets of the enemy would translate into experience through trial and error. Various shinobi arts that Nabuya mastered helped give him all the time he could need to focus on his solitary power cultivation. He'd train and meditate while shadow clones gathered the necessities from the lonely mountain or others gathered information from the surrounding lands; they were always under the guises of advanced transformation ninjutsu and the protections of masterful sealing arts and sensory ninjutsu. Other shadow clones would be used to upkeep his senjutsu training throughout the day and night.

Nabuya often felt a sense of dissatisfaction from a shadow clone's absorbed experience when he wasn't the one doing the dirty work. It felt strange that he even hated to rely on himself in things like this, so the clone training method got less use over time. Nabuya's training would intensify when he started hearing rumors of unrest in the Land of Iron's sociopolitical climate. He was less than surprised and an unimpressed minority due to the losses in the Land of Floods. O-Inari's teachings felt like a strange form of prayer, but she would do well to align his power with purpose. The idea that he could use his honed powers to influence these turbulent lands was quite enchanting.

He heard of various factions and even more opportunities between them. In the end, he knew his enriched senjutsu cultivation was for his sake and his sake alone. His god, O-Inari, was all the guidance he needed to comprehend and wield the faulty truths of this world. All he really wanted here was a sanctuary where he could work outside of the shinobi eye. So far, everything had gone perfectly. He was a missing fresh Uzushiogakure shinobi graduate that was allegedly lost during the violent rain of meteors and sinking of most of the islands. Little did they care or know, this seed of hatred was becoming a weed in Evergreen's beautiful garden. He continued to master his control of natural energies as well as reviewed various senjutsu techniques to make sure he understood them well enough to use against others who probably also knew these arts.

Time was of no concern before his senjutsu cultivation, and it wasn't as he approached the new present tense. He had spent much time in the later portions of his training to focus on better means to corrupt natural energies. The Blessing of Oinari had began to feel almost inferior to the power he'd integrated from the unlocked potential of his blood-given talents. Nabuya was discovering a variety of ways to invoke senjutsu or utilize natural energy. In fact, it was was almost as easy to breathe as it was to simply use his sage mode powers. He was ever-determined that his god was the absolute truth, and Il Palazzo's will would be seen done at all costs. O-Inari would offer a revelation to Nabuya as he completed his senjutsu training anew. There was business to attend to in Zaishin. From there... who could say where the winds of chaos might blow?

There was a long, tense pause between the terrifying yokai warlord and the naïve, belligerent warrior that continued to defy him at every clash of their blades. Nabuya would heckle Otakemaru between blows traded- right up until he would experience a familiar paralyzing sensation rush through his body again, but not because of the opponent standing before him. 'Nabu! Snap out of it!' O-Inari attempted to aid Nabuya in resisting this powerful energy that was suddenly restraining him at the most inopportune of moments. Otakemaru saw his opportunity to strike and flew in to seize it; however, he was completely blocked by a powerful repelling gravitational force that emanated from a space-time rift that tore itself open behind Nabuya. He just barely managed to regain enough control of his body to glance back over his left shoulder and lock eyes with a pair of Byakurinnesharingan glowing through the dark energy flowing between the bridged dimensions. As soon as their gazes met, Nabuya felt his conscious slip as a genjutsu further overloaded his chakra network and rendered him unconscious with little lingering resistance. His body went numb first, then his hearing failed him right before his vision became foggy starting at his peripherals. The last thing he saw as he was being bade through to the other side of the Yomotsu Hirasaka gateway was Otakemaru raging about the interference, and sensing distress in Sakiyu's chakra signature as she tried to hide from her demonic padre. He might have thought he caught glimpse of O-Inari trying to get back to him, but to no avail.

In his unconscious stupor, it was easy for a mostly-divine fledgling god like Sandayu of the Iga to take every available advantage from his ambush. Nabuya would find himself drained of most of his concealed power and then some by a constructed designed especially with him in mind. The black chakra receivers of the Outer Path were effective both for completely crippling his ability to resist, as well as his an agonizing wake-up call from his unconscious stupor. "Gargh! DAMN THAT STINGS!!" He looked around to get his bearings and found himself effectively crucified to a slate of some kind of metal-like material with spiraling rites covering its surface. Up ahead was a shadowed figure who quietly watched him writhe in his bindings. It wasn't long after noticing his captor that Nabuya spotted Naoki's oddly-well-preserved corpse also limply posted up against a similar wall. "Naoki? What in the actual ******** s**t did he do to you?" She looked like Hell would've been a better vacation spot than whatever she suffered here. Her flesh was still pristine and like porcelain, albeit marred in each of the spots that the black chakra stakes were driven through her limbs and torso. Her hair was singed, body battered, and those damn black chakra receivers driven throughout her body as if someone were intentionally performing malpractice acupuncture. Sandayu's voice rang out through the dark red and black mists filling the kamui space they were in, "I remember that opportunistic stray cat lingering around Kogarashi for awhile. As I recall, she called herself a princess of some faction of Uchiha. It didn't take long to lose her loyalty, but I honestly thought it was her that had somehow pocketed some of the power granted to me by Evergreen." Nabuya's eyes scanned the dark for signs of movement, but all that remained from his limited field of view was Naoki. "MY BIRTHRIGHT!" Sandayu's voice boomed as he appeared before Nabuya in the blink of an eye slamming a mechanized hand against his right forearm and instantly shattering the bones caught between it and the surface Nabuya was pinned to. "Tsssshk…" He hissed through the tremendous pain of his destroyed arm, finding the moment to test his captor a bit, "Ok… shitty welcome wagon aside, I always wanted to say that I liked your work with Kogarashi. Got a front row view to the Uzukage's demise and had to run with the rest of the shinobi cockroaches when you sunk the damn island. Agh.. Hahah... ******** masterwork." He wasn't necessarily trying to pet Sanda's ego, but it was true that he did appreciate their work in rattling the ninjas' cages. "Choke on your praise, and don't bother pleading for mercy. You have taken what is mine, and that makes you my enemy. I have an idea of who you are, thief, and I know enough to pass your judgment." As far as he was concerned, Nabuya could have been another agent of Jashin or some other unknown variable that he didn't have time to waste on.

The Rinnebyakusharingan peered deep into Nabuya's emerald green hues, and in one agonizing tear, the Human Path would be employed to tear away a chunk of the thief's soul. "AARGH! HOLY s**t-NUGGETS!" It looked as though he had ripped a spectral arm from the rest of the body, like ripping a drumstick from a rotisserie chicken, before becoming absorbed into the hand that had taken it. "I didn't think it would hurt more than you smashing my whole gods' damned arm. ******** ******** man! I didn't take your s**t on purpose! I received it as a… gift, or somethin' like that. I was just gonna use it to finish what you started before you got distracted with all the divine status quo s**t that you're on now." Sandayu sucked his teeth and spat before repeating the process on Nabuya's other arm, "How could you possibly understand anything about what I'd started?" Afterward, Nabuya noted that his limbs were starting to look a lot like his dead companion across the way. He let out a loud yell in pain, but it helped nothing. "Gods dammit! You are such a ******** a*****e! Agh!!" After thrashing about against his crucifying bonds he sneered back at Sandayu, spat blood at him and missed then growled out, "I got your memories up to that moment when all those ninja scum merc'ed your cocky a** and sent you running home to mommy dearest. I know who you are and how you think, Sandayu Genburyuichirousuke of the nomadic Iga clan- keepers of the secrets of the Rinnegan." Nabuya paused and added, his voice falling back into a pained growl while the agonizing throbbing permeated his arms, Another mechanized fist suddenly slammed into Nabuya's gut as he continued his pointed jests at the cost of Sandayu's pride as an Iga warrior. At this point, he had finished analyzing every detail of Nabuya, ins and outs. "Gods don't ask. We take. Yours saw fit to take from me, so I will not only take back what is mine, but I'll take from you until your god has no use for your broken body, shattered mind, or twisted soul. I sense that you've somehow swindled another god into giving you power that is beyond your station. I'll take that too." Bit by bit, chunk by chunk, Nabuya's powers were drained from him. Celestial chakra, natural energy, corrupted energy, and every bit of Nabuya's own vast wealth of chakra. He couldn't die. Nabuya knew he couldn't die, but he wanted to- or maybe he was just being made to think he wanted to? He felt like it might be best to finally be done with this struggle as he suffered in body, mind and spirit as he had been promised throughout the excruciating extraction process.

There were times when Nabuya wished that if he couldn't be granted the mercy of ceased existence then perhaps it would have been nice to have made friends or allies that would actually come looking to save him in the rare moments where he couldn't save himself, like now. His only "friend" was definitely dead and done. She came for him when he got mixed up with Sakiyu and her daddy drama with Suzuka Gozen and Otakemaru. He couldn't return the favor to her back when it counted, and look where it got her. Clinging to consciousness, Nabuya noted that Sandayu had left to handle some business in his personal divine realm, and left him to rot with the Uchiha princess. His consciousness faded in and out- mostly the latter, for more time than he could keep track of in his stupor. While the master of the realm was absent, a certain sword-toting fox would find her way in to places she should not be, but cared not for others' rules. She had property to reclaim. Nabuya hung from where he had been nailed to the alloy wall adjacent to Naoki as a three-tailed fox trotted into Sandayu's kamui realm, uninvited. The fox looked to the dead Uchiha woman for a moment but visibly shrugged and turned its attention to the tattooed man, clinging to life, instead. "Oh, wretched child. You must be fated for misfortune, and I a fool for betting on you to eventually impress me with some semblance of success…" The fox's chastising remarks carried the familiar tone of his divinely-possessed tsukumogami. Nabuya opened his eyes slightly and raised his head almost less in an attempt to find the strength to face his god in such a pitiful state. Somehow, he found and spent what little strength he had to still put up his usual tough guy mode. It felt like it had only been minutes ago that he was confidently exchanging blows with Otakemaru. This was all that was left of himself? He gritted his teeth and raised his head a bit more, now actually looking at the kitsune staring back up at him with a mix of pity and boundless annoyance for him. "Enough. You failed. You failed Sakiyu, Zerva and even Suzuka Gozen. The greatest blasphemy of all is… you failed me. You've no idea the debts I now owe just for your rescue." Nabuya started to scoff at O-Inari's generosity, but found himself in a short free fall face-first into the metaphysical ground. "You're in no state to repay my debts…" The fox stepped over Nabuya, dropping his sword, Ehei, beside him and then clamped its sharp fangs around his neck, "… however, a useful servant such as you cannot escape our pact so easily that you would not make it happen before you selfishly throw away the life that I have preserved for you." The foxes breath sent a warm jolt into his Blessed Mark of O-Inari, then down his neck and spine. O-Inari echoed their voice telepathically into his mind so there wasn't a single word missed. That jolt caused Nabuya to gasp, as if being resuscitated from suffocation.

This breath of life would restore much of his strength, but barely even a fraction of what he had before. "Damn it ******** all!" He shrugged the kitsune off of him and started to pick himself up off the ground. His wounds still caused him undeniable pain, but at least he could finally feel his body again. "This is why you don't ******** meet your damned heroes! I can't believe that punk ripped me off like that!" Nabu dusted himself off and started making his way over toward Naoki's hanging corpse, "I mean… actually, I can- because I would have done the same in his place, but ******** still!" He grumbled aloud as he took another moment to absorb her fate into his memory. "Nao… ********. Coulda let me tap that at least once, ugh... I'm not into corpses. Nope." Masked in his usual morbid humor, he actually felt a little responsible for her getting caught in the cross-fire of Sandayu's big boy tantrum. "Seeing as you and anyone else with these magical eye powers are so damn proud of them, I guess I can do us both a solid right now." Nabuya was pretty surprised to find that even her eyes were actually in good shape for him to seal into stasis. He definitely didn't want to ******** with the strange powers these eyes seemed to have, but he figured someone else might down the road- all the better if available for bargaining. Her body seemed pretty drained of fluid, but otherwise neatly intact. With a touch of his palm against the flesh between her cleavage, Naoki Uchiha's corpse would vanish from where it was held into his tattoo markings for safe keeping. An image of a red-eyed princess dancing with a fan appeared somewhere in his collage of body images. "What a damn waste. I think she was actually down for helping us dismantle this world's order." He said to O-Inari as he turned to face the kitsune again. "There may be no need for that. Jashin is currently being called into the world and everyone in this existence is determined to somehow do what no one else has ever done. Survive Jashin's gluttony. If they fail, I get what I wanted. If they succeed, then there is simply work to be done." The fox declared some rather obtuse current events so nonchalantly that Nabuya actually almost didn't care about what was said for a moment. "Wait. Hold the ******** up. You're telling me there is some epic battle of good vs evil right now and you just used that opportunity to come get me out of Sandayu's existential time-out corner?!" The divine kitsune merely shrugged then changed back into her katana form, sheathed at Nabuya's hip. "Cheeky fox. Keep your secrets then." He patted the scabbard of O-Inari, picked up Ehei and then declared, "Before I was just using helping you as an excuse to do whatever I wanted with my exile in this shithole. Now, its ******** personal. They can fight to protect this place, but they can't ignore that their very existence is a rampant cancer on the peace they pretend to protect. Sandayu thinks he's a ******** avenger? I'll show him what vengeance looks like after I turn his mom's world on its head and bend her over it." He cracked his knuckles as he very literally visualized a comical version of said events in his head. Nabuya came back to focus and asked O-Inari about something else she said before, "You did mention that we're in debt though? Is that Zerva guy pissed? Oh, I kinda hope he is. I bet he's even somehow even more monotone when he's mad. Bahahah!" There was only silence for a moment longer before a black hand ripped through reality, "The depth of your audacity grows…" The hand instantly grabbed Nabuya by the face, "OH ********, NOT AGAIN!" It then dragged him out of Sandayu's kamui dimension and back into realm of Zancudo.
