Placed snuggly in between a few small mountain ranges, far from the capital itself but still, within its power to maintain, The Delta is a large landform that spans thousands of acres with one large river that cleanly splits the land into two. Further down it reaches the river splits again into two smaller ones as it leads into many branching paths. It is from one of these branching paths that a village built its foundations upon, growing until it has now become a now prominent contributor to the Fire Nation Empire, agreeing to allow it's surrounding lands to be used a testing ground for the latest and greatest genin that seek to make their names in the chunin exams. The capitol itself will be closed for the event, being protected by a sealing array as well as only allowing active Kono-nin and Citizens of Gurinbare-to with Papers into its boundaries.

Deep in the delta among the chorus of singing bullfrogs, a wide clearing has been made. A thin canopy wall did little to keep nature from trying to reclaim what was taken from it but at the very least, the tall light posts that pointed proudly out of the ground would ensure that no genin would be making their start in darkness.
Sumika made a decidedly not grand entrance on the back of her Panda, Cobalt, half asleep and occasionally munching on a spicy chip from a bag that might as well have been warning of a deadly poison for all the bright colors and bold text. It would seem that she was one of, if not, the first person here. God she hated being punctual, but it was a long trip and she'd not be asked to physically exert herself before this charade that would, undoubtedly, require her to physically exert herself. Truly just a dreadful thought.

As instructed Yashima had found himself escorted to the exam site by a jounin. The young boy turned towards the man and then would bow and give thanks to the man before he left. After which Yashima simply....find himself sitting upon the ground beneath him. Closing his eyes and simply waiting, listening to what was going on around him and waiting for the exams to begin. He was fairly certain he would not necessarily win, but he was unaware of that stuff. He simply wished to join, and to try his best to get as far as he could.
▰▰▰ |SHINOBI • INFO| ▰▰▰ • Haruno, Seika | C | Genin | Medical ninja | Bukijutsu Appearance/clothes :
Teal waist length hair, no piercings today. She is wearing standard medical ninja garb with long sleeves hiding her hands, she has a secondary robe over top of it of similar design and color, it’s sleeves also oversized, the combination of both making it hard to notice the weapons weighing on her sleeves. Wearing a backpack gloves and a Katana Ninjato on her waist. (Basically equipment listed in profile.)

(Seika enters topic)
Seika and her accompanying jounin arrived quite suddenly by way of Shunshin, their images not being there one second, the next with a small burst of air they fizzed into sight her hair and parts of her clothing that was loose falling down around her as she landed with a tap. Unlike usual she was devoid of her piercings and clad in her medical robes, choosing the attire for two reasons, one being to signify her abilities for her allies sake. Looking around she noted not many had arrive by this point but a few had, turning to the jounin who had brought her she gave a grin and chimed ”Thank you for escorting me! I’ll make sure to kick some a**!” She states as a mediocre show of appreciation before pulling her backpack off and emptying it out so as to do an inventory check and to rearrange everything, this was mainly done to distract herself from any anticipation.
INDENTHowling winds twirled a plethora of darkened leafs in a benevolent dance across the Land of Fire. Passing through the collection of Genin in a gentle waltz, that each contestant would feel individually. It's welcoming breeze and maelstrom of leafs arrived at the center of the group. Imploding unto itself. Leafs lightly raining down around the shadowy persona of two individuals. The Lamppost's dim lightning splashed onto the visage of both standing back to back. Only momentarily revealing the much lager of the duo. Sanada, the boy's Jonin. His eyes closed and demeanor stern, like that of a tough-loving older brother. "You remember what I told you, don't you?"
INDENTRaining leafs settled along the ground. Fully revealing Konohagakure's Youthful ACE, Aeleus. Adorned in a heavy cloak, his clan's emblem embroidered proudly within the large wooden crest that tied the cloak shut. Cheerfully a half-revealed smile formed, left arm leaving the concealment of the cloak for only a brevity. Giving a acknowledging thumbs-up and slight head nod. For any whom cared to notice, or those with a keen eye for detail. Aeleus' entire arm had been bandaged, down to even the thumb. "Only if the conditions are met!" Proudly Sanada smiled, disappearing in that instance. His pupil left to fates hands. Aeleus stood amidst the group. Cloak concealing his four-foot figure. Étaín, latched to his backside. Oh, Étaín~ How could anyone miss the mummified twin scythe that doubled the boy's size? Surely, his grandiose entrance garnered an eye or two but his attire made him a sure standout from the others. A miniature Grim Reaper. Curiously his head tilted. Sanada made all this ruckus about being late yet things seemed... "S-so now what?"

__ Kotori still felt pretty pumped since concluding that bout with her peers and sensei, remembering all the brief yet vibrant details as she darted ahead toward the testing grounds. She eagerly chanted in her head throughout her pacing, 'To the fight! To the fight! To the fight!' The veins at the sides of her eyes marked her active Byakugan eyes to help her navigate ahead of the groups' escort without need to stop for much. She still beat them here even though she took that bathroom break and hand to punch the peeping bear. Before long the little ball of fiery fighting spirit appeared among the rest who had gathered near the lighted exam area. "TO." She took a long slide to stop, kicking up dirt and dust behind her as she slid like she were trying to keep her balance atop of a frozen lake. "THE." Kotori lost her focus and thus her balance as she realized too late that she was trying oto keep pace with her chanting more than actually stopping. "Fi-whaaaaAAAHH!!" She tripped over a bad bit of footing, specifically a rock that was really dug into the dirt, and hollered in astoundment before having to tuck into a roll in order to mitigate the damage of her own fall. Kotori laid where she finally ended her poor landing, glad that she was a tough little bird. She stared up at the eclipsed sky while she laid on her back panting, "Maybe running all the way here from the village was..." She paused to weigh her options in finishing the comment then just started laughing merrily where she laid, "TOTALLY WORTH IT!" Kotori laughter turned to a self-empowering roar and she sat upright again. She deactivated her Byakugan now that she didn't need it since her little journey was complete. Her head whirled around to look at everyone without further ruining her surprise about how strong the other exam participants might be. There was one girl with a panda, a boy also sitting on the ground elsewhere, and lastly a pink-haired girl with the ninjato at her waist. "Where's the rest of 'em?" Kotori really put herself in a twist to see if any of her peers from the earlier training had caught up. "Not yet, but probably soon...' She assured herself that more competition would be here in time. Maybe she was right, but hopefully she wasn't wrong.

Halfway to the Delta, Inohachi finally realized she was clinging to Chosuke's arm. Removed herself, she apologized as they continued on, following behind the Jounin that was responsible for escorting them. They had arrived as Inohachi was still visibly nervous. It was dark. The sun was gone. They had to make due with lights and flashlights and other means to be able to see where they were going. As they arrived, at least there was a bit more light but they could get attacked anytime! Part of Inohachi wished she had the courage to take her camera out and take pictures, but she was too nervous. Wait! Taking pictures can help! With that, she took out her camera and there was the sounds of clicking. She took pictures of the blood red sky. In different angles. Through the leaves. On the ground. Inohachi would get up and hurried as the Jounin wasn't going to stop whenever she stopped. She sees an area, takes pictures, and the plump Yamanaka would dash a bit faster to keep up with Chosuke and the Jounin.
She even sneaked a few pictures of Chosuke and the Jounin, grouchy as he was. As they arrived, Inohachi only noticed one familiar face. Her fingertips gently carass the camera she was holding. It was helping. The camera was helping her stay grounded. "Kotori!" Inohachi said with a smile, thinking of something funny to say to make Kotori smile but.. she didn't need to. That girl was full of energy and smiles. She took few pictures of Kotori too. How does that girl do it? How does Chosuke do it? Inohachi was scared of everything and those two were fearless. Turned her attention, she took pictures of the citizens that were here. Jounin, and even others. Were they all here to be part of the exams? To watch? To fight...? Inohachi felt her heart sped up as it was getting harder to breath. Instead, she glanced down at her camera and started the process of removing bad shots and keeping the good ones.

tab The march to The Delta was quite the journey. Thankfully, Chosuke had made sure to bring plenty of snacks for the long trek, putting away protein bars like a bottomless pit. Of course, it wasn't easy to open them with Inohachi holding one of his arms captive, but he managed to make it work, ripping through wrapper after wrapper with his teeth like some sort of wild animal. All the walking was really working up his appetite and Chosuke was never one to deny his stomach. After all, he relied on his gut to guide him so it only made sense to keep it properly fueled.
tab Eventually, Chosuke finally felt Inohachi release his arm from captivity and watched as the girl began to bounce about the area to take pictures with her camera. From what he could tell, she seemed particularly fascinated with the sun, or rather, the lack there of. He remembered her telling him earlier that this was a concerning event but he hadn't really quite grasped the severity of the situation himself. Aside from the darkness, nothing really seemed out of the ordinary. Thus, he saw no reason to worry about it. Besides, he had more pressing matters on his mind, specifically the exams. This was going to be the first true test of his abilities and he was rearing to go.
tab Once they arrived, Chosuke joined Inohachi in thanking their accompanying jounin for the escort, knowing that he probably would have gotten lost without their guidance. Following the jounin's departure, Chosuke joined Inohachi in scanning over those who had gathered for the exams. While she seemed to be searching for familiar faces though, he was more focused checking out those he didn't recognize. It seemed that there was quite the spread in those gathered, everything from small children to full grown adults. Of course, there was no telling just how strong people were from their appearance but there were definitely a few people that caught his eye, particularly the woman lounging on the back of a panda.
tab"Kotori!"
tab Speaking of small children, Chosuke heard Inohachi call out a familiar name and turned his attention in that direction. Sure enough, there was Kotori, bounding with energy. "Hey there!" he called out, offering the girl a friendly wave. It was good to know for sure that there was at least one person here that would give him a good fight.
𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝑬𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒔 • Berserker: Your hardened body naturally is as protective as Heavy Tier armor without its drawbacks. Degradation of the user's natural defenses applies in the same manner as armor. Once depleted, any damage the user takes, no matter the rank of damage applied increases the user's active strength and speed mildly for two posts. Should the user take additional damage before the end of the second post, the increase stacks, refreshing it's active time. •Battlefield Presence: The user's powerful presence on the battlefield strikes terror into their foes. Opponents are able to sense the user's terrifying fighting spirit five feet from the user per body rank of the user through chakra sense. Those within range can have this radiating fearful aura become the trigger for genjutsu, allowing genjutsu to be cast by acknowledging the user. In addition, should an opponent be targeted by a melee technique that is greater in rank than the target's body rank that target has tier two paralysis applied to their legs, requiring it to be broken by Kai equal to the user's body rank, costing the target no activation for that specific instance of kai.

tabThe blue haired Genin was led through the Delta by her own Jonin. To be flat out honest, the girl was nervous. She’d signed up for the Chunin Exams hoping that Tsuki was going to join, too. But then the deadline hit and her friend was nowhere to be seen… It really put her spirits down; she’d been looking forward to progressing with her friend and nearly her sister. And even with the lights of the Delta guiding their way, Kujaku was still worried about the eclipse. The speakers said it would be a part of the exam but she wasn’t so sure… How could the Kage involved be able to manipulate something on such a scale? It didn’t make sense, but she also didn’t have any other explanation for the events. And once she was escorted to the grounds, Kujaku would scan all along the crowd. There were a number of impressive looking Genin nearby. The panda was definitely an eye catcher, Kujaku had to admit.
But no-one she recognized.
The blue haired girl was about to give up and resign from the exams entirely before a crash caught her eye. A ball of energy dressed in yellow had run full speed into a tree! Kujaku couldn’t help but giggle a little bit. It eased her tensions a little, and soon the girl noticed people joining her. A rather plump girl with a camera, and a boy snacking next to her. All of them from Konoha. Finally seeing at least someone she could relate to, the Genin made her way over after thanking her own Jonin. “Uhmmm, excuse me?” She called out rather shyly to the group. “You guys are from Konoha, right? My name’s Kujaku Inuhara. Do you mind if I… accompany you guys..?” She fidgeted a little, finding it hard to make eye contact with any of the trio, especially the boy.

tab“So this’s where we’ll be takin’ th’ exams huh?” Thresher looked around the Delta as she was led by a Jonin. She had to say she was impressed; in all of her years traveling around, she’d never seen a place like this. The sharkgirl looked around, the large sword on her back bouncing with each step she took. Thresher took in a large sniff of air and reveled in the smell of the Delta. The smell of the trees was fresh, and the water that flowed through it was refreshing. And the power that thrummed through the area, from other Genin and from proctors alike. The smell of blood in the air from past fights and wars. It was enough to make the Genin’s blood boil. While her gait never changed from a casual aloofness, like she couldn’t care that she was here, the look of Thresher’s face was positively voracious. Her mouth was spread in a wide smirk that showed the rows of her own razor sharp teeth. Then, as she got closer, she could smell it.
Fear.
It came from a group of young ninja, but from two in particular. “What’s th' matter cupcake?” Thresher would strut over to the group of Konoha Genin. She could smell a weakness and it was in her nature, her essence, to capitalize on it. “Ya look like ya got a little lost.” As she spoke, Thresher at almost seven feet tall towered over most of the group. Very clearly on her back was a blade that was almost as tall, and just as wide, as she was. “So’s this th' best K’noha has to offer? Can't say I'm impressed.” Even in the dark, the Arashigakure headband tied around her upper arm glinted in the light. “Ya should go home b’fore something hurts ya, girly.” Thresher said to the girl with the camera. Then she sniffed and narrowed her eyes at the girl with blue hair. “You too, pipsquak.”
Miyuki checked her bag as she walked to the location noted in the message. She had all of the important goodies, especially her ink brush. It would be interesting to attend Chuunin exams in another village. For all her travelling, she'd never been to Konoha. "Hey there," she greeted nonchalantly, a pleasant smile on her face. "How long 'til this thing starts" She was speaking to the shark-looking lady who had an Arashigakure insignia on her headband just like Miyuki.
The environment seemed beautiful and the other genin looked very interesting. Her fingers twitched as she felt the need to paint this scene down for her mementos.

tab“Interesting…” Mina rapidly changed her gaze from the book she was holding to the darkening sky. The book in her hands was one of the many that the weirdo from the Academy had been handing out, about the goddess Evergreen. In her own time after that incident, Mina did some reading up about the goddess. And also of the other gods: Utu and Jashin. She could call it a hobby, trying to understand how the world was the way it was. If chakra existed, why not the gods? Mina scribbled some notes in the book of Evergreen before snapping it shut. “Alright, I’m read-” She looked up with a smile on her face, only to see her other friends from konoha weren’t with her. “-y?” She finished with confusion evident in her tone. “Did you guys leave without me?!” She yelled into the forest, widening her stance, and not expecting a real answer. Mina huffed and followed the trail through the Delta. Even in the light from the lamps it was hard for her to see, but Mina was still able to appreciate the beauty of the Delta. As she looked up and around, Mina didn’t see just where she was going or that she’d eventually caught up with her friends.
Instead the redhead bumped into a rather gray wall of bricks that ended up shoving Mina to the ground. “Who put this building... “ Mina looked up and narrowed her eyes in the darkness. In the dark she could barely make out grey skin and fins. But what was clear were the rows of sharp teeth. “...here?”
“Why dontcha watch where yer goin’?” The girl growled at her as the Genin rose to her feet. Mina ignored her at first, looking around at the group. A girl stood behind the sharkmonster, and both of them seemed to be wearing the same headbands.
Storm? Mina had to wonder, while the mouthy one kept talking at her. The redhead wasn’t listening and each word went right in one ear right out of the other. She was too busy looking for her… “Inohachi!” Mina beamed and cut off the Arashi ninja’s sentence when Mina finally saw her friends. The redhead pulled the other Konoha girl into a tight hug, as if they hadn’t come to the Delta together just hours ago.

tab“You do a lot of talk for someone that didn’t know what chakra was six months ago!” Usagi called down from above. The blonde sat languidly in the branch of a tree that was particularly close to the group of Genin. Had it always been there? A playful smirk toyed on her lips as Usagi looked down at the group below. She’d been right about wanting to come to the exam: so far everyone here was interesting. The ball of energy that was the girl who ran into the tree. The boy that she presumed was an Akimichi, if the way he was inhaling food was any indication. The oblivious redhead. The jaw flapping shark and her partner. The two girls who seemed to be way out of their comfort zone. Especially the one with the camera, something really caught Usagi’s attention with her. And a little further off were some other Genin who just seemed to be waiting. All of the participants so far seemed to be children, except for her and the woman on the panda. And what’re you doing here, I wonder. Usagi’s eyes flinched as they narrowed for just a second as she took note of the woman on the panda.
The girl from Arashi seemed flustered about Usagi’s statement, but didn’t try and deny it as a blush crept into her cheeks. “Relax, guppy.” Usagi went on as she adjusted her position so that her legs were dangling off of the branch, showing a Konoha headband tied around her upper thigh. “Your secret’s safe with me and everyone who just heard it. But I doubt no-one would ever use that against you now.” She said with an over dramatic drawl and an eye roll. “Right?” The woman added with a wink. For all the taunting she was giving Thresher, Usagi could make a note of how strong she was. Nature Chakra just seemed to pour out of her. The red head and the Hyuuga, too, now that Usagi had her chakra senses up. And from one of the quieter girls, but they were so close together she couldn't tell which: the one with blue hair or the one with the camera. Pandawoman’s chakra signature caught Usagi’s attention also and she let out an impressed whistle. “It’s such a small turnout this year, isn’t it?” Usagi called down to the group, crossing her legs. “Is this everyone’s first time?”
tabCoello hopped his way towards catching up with the other genie, although he tried his best to stay near the back of the group as much as he could, the flamboyantly pink bunny only ended up tripping over one of the braziers in his nervousness. The hot coals spreading all over the ground and loud BOOM of the metal echoing against concrete jolted Coello upright, with his ears twitching as if he'd just seen a predator. "Uhm.. sorry." A meek defense that only added to his appeared frailty.
