You find yourself deep inside one of the habitation units in the Ruins. There is an awful stench in the air coming from racks of food left here to molder. Rotten or not, these things contain nutrients... but they're also an alien substance from the Others.
What do you do?
The roots of the Great Tree shift sending swirls of dust into the air. A gust of wind from the movement blows Kachina's main. Breathing in Kachina's mind swirls in perfect ringlets taking her deep into a vision quest. Kachina had learned from her grandmother how to meditate and breath through the dizziness of ones mind walking. Her and her brother had spent many hours in deep meditation with their loved ones. Some families went for walks and others played games but not her family they did strange stuff like yoga and meditation. But even she could not keep form feeling a little sick form the movement form one plan to the next as the Grandfather Tree took her on the start of her quest.
As she came aware, Kachina found herself deep in a space she had not seen but once when her grandmother had wanted to share her wisdom of the begin of their kind and what the Others had done to their lands. It was a place the Others had inhabited deep with in the Ruins.
"Strange why here?" she voiced out knowing no one could hear. A breeze flows past her caring the most revoltingly of smells with it.
"What in all of Vykeli is that?" Kachina voiced in shock. Coughing and gaging she covers her muzzle with her tail and follows the direction the breeze had originated form in search of the smell.
A rank filled with mold, rot on what looks to have once been food...Maybe? Is clearly the scores of the decaying smell that had flowed on the breeze. Cough yet again she can since that the items here hold nutritional value to something; maybe plants or medicine or maybe meditation. She had smelled a similar pungent odder before and had seen the effects of that odder for the plants that had grown around it. She had also smell a medicine, that helped heal wounds from within, that carried a similar odder. But could one trust anything the Others had left once they deserted the place she called home.
Taking a look around Kachina knows deep within that the smell was clue enough that these items could only help not hurt and after all the harm the Others had left in their wake, maybe this was natures way of righting what the Others had so wronged. Finding a bag she scoops the rotten food into it and picks the bag up to take back to the Homewood with her. She had no idea what they would be useful for but they would help someone or something she knew that for sure.
"It is time for healing in Vykeli." She thinks as she walks out of the Ruins with the bag.
