HP : 20[6 dmg] Cursa should have been thrilled to have made it this far in the competition. It was her second year entering the tournament and after an early elimination last year she should have been proud with the progress she was making this year. Truth be told, had her second match been anything like her first she might have been. It hadn't been. She wasn't. She entered the ring cross, hands coming up to tighten the ponytail at the nape of her neck. The only reason why she was standing here now, and not someone else, was because she had been pitted against one of her teammates in the last round. The two of them had resorted to screwing around and due to absolute foolishness on her part he'd been hurt. Badly. Guilt weighed heavily on her shoulders, building into an anger that she needed to harness if she was going to make it through this next round. It didn't matter how much she didn't want to be here. All that mattered was that she make the most out of what was because now, more than ever, she had something to prove. God, though, it didn't help that her opponent was a freaking giantess. "This is going to hurt," she muttered beneath her breath before calling out the name of her attack to launch herself forward at her opponent. "Cursa's Flight!" Lucyal Cursa's Flight Upon releasing the energy stored for her attack, Cursa is granted an immediate speed boost. This boost allows her to put fast distance between herself and her opponent-- or a quick charge forward into her opponent (rush tackle). Distance: Up to 5 feet per burst of speed.

Lieutenant LyonsiteWhat she liked about this tourney, was that she was getting to meet new faces. It was so easy to get wrapped up in just the team, and not that there was anything wrong with that, but it was cool to meet new people. She was pretty sure she had made a new friend in the red headed lieutenant she had just fought but her new opponent? Well---maybe not so much. She didn't look like a happy camper right now at all. She was also a non-happy camper who just went right for it, and Lyonsite had to respect that. She knew she was in for something when she heard the senshi call out her attack. Magic here it--- The lieutenant let out a grunt as she was struck by the sudden ballistic that was the corrupt herself. The force of the attack actually knocked her off of her feet, and that in itself was a novel feeling for her. Lyonsite hit the ground, skidding a bit, but immediately rolled into a crouch. She grinned widely at Cursa. "I like your gusto, girlie!" She then lunged for the corrupt, pulling back a fist and looking to slug her in the gut.

HP : 14[2 dmg] Cursa returned the grin with one of her own, taking a considerable amount of satisfaction in knowing she'd been able to knock the Lieutenant flat. It was a brief feeling, one that normally would have turned into arrogance to be flaunted under other circumstances --such as moments when she wasn't scrambling back to her own feet in an attempt to put distance between she and her opponent again before... The punch winded her instantly, pain exploding through her abdomen. She would count herself lucky that she had skipped on lunch, the sudden heaving retch as she dropped to one knee producing nothing but the water that she'd downed quickly for the sake of hydration between rounds. Cursa fell forward onto her hand, tears stinging her eyes as her insides heaved again. Cursa had spent enough of her matches on the ground. She was tired of being knocked down, even if part of it was through fault of her own, but calling it quits would do no one any favors. Taking a page from her match against Lalande, Cursa grabbed a handfull of dirt as she pushed herself back up, throwing it upward at the giantess only to follow through with a punch from her other hand. Lucyal Let's see what the dice have in store for us. XD

Lyon had made it to the next round and.....yeah. His teammate was doing the best out of them, and it shouldn't make him feel so....
Useless. Perhaps he needed her to train him to physically fight and not rely on the magical side.
But that would make him useless as far his magic, if he relied on physical prowess.

Lieutenant LyonsiteWell---that was pretty clever, and she could say, one hundred percent, she wasn't expecting that. It was a trick she'd add to her memory bank though, for future use. Lyonsite gasped and immediately her eyes clenched shut as she stumbled back, dirt striking home. Her eyes were burning, and the corners of her eyes watered. She knew she was in the middle of a fight, but when when she could crack an eye open, it just filled with tears. The woman let out a grunt as the corrupt landed a punch on her, and she tried to blindly grab for Cursa, but her arms came away with nothing. Skye Starrfyre The answer is trolling. Always trolling

HP : 14[0 dmg] The whole idea behind incapacitating her opponent was to use it to her advantage in order to strike another blow. She didn't, instead experiencing a moment of panic when she felt hands grabbing for her. Cursa sprung back, teetering as she landed a few feet away from her foe. She was going to have to go about this a different way if she didn't want to get pounded.... Think.

Lieutenant LyonsiteA tanned hand reached up to rapidly scrub at her eyes, and she wasn't sure if it made it worse or better. Whatever it did was good enough though, as she cracked an eye open again, and could find where Cursa had landed. Lyonsite wasted no time, and lunged for the corrupt. She reached out to grab the senshi by a fistful of her uniform. She then threw the senshi. She needed a few more moments to clear her vision. Skye Starrfyre They toy with my emotions

HP : 8[0 dmg] Was it worse to be roughly grabbed by the feathery bustle attached to her backside or would it have been worse if the Lieutenant had grabbed her hair to swing her around by? Cursa wasn't sure and had only a brief moment to ponder such a thing as she was launched across the ring. Lyonsite uses Strength! It's super effective! Like a discarded doll, Cursa crumpled to the ground. The impact made everything feel heavy and she could very easily just lay here and die a tragic, broken mess. Or she could get up and try again. Her movement was accompanied by the sound of a low groan as she pushed herself up, wobbling a bit before balancing in a low crouch, warily watching her opponent to try and anticipate a counter for whatever her next move was.

"Yayyyyyyy Lyonsiteeeeee," Quintinite said halfheartedly, waving a small, handmade flag he'd constructed out of gum wrappers and toothpicks he'd found. "Whooo...go Lyonsite...."

Lieutenant LyonsiteLyonsite vigorously wiped at her eyes as she felt the signature of the other sail away from her. Good. She blinked rapidly while doing so, and when she could open both eyes, she deemed it good enough. As Cursa shifted into a crouch, Lyonsite lumbered towards her, bee lining. "Clever little trick there---" She complimented, and lips were pulled into a grin regardless of the annoyance of the trick. Lyonsite lumbered until she was closer---then she lunged towards the other, pulling a leg back and aiming to sweep her with a booted toe.

HP : 4[ 1 dmg ] There was no way to avoid the kick coming for her so Cursa didn't try. It wasn't the best idea she had, or could have had, but it was what she was rolling with. The boot made contact with her midsection, winding her, but not before she could grab hold of Lyonsite's leg. Like a kid trying to grapple on to an adult, Cursa held tight. Even if she couldn't actually hurt the larger woman she could at least slow her down and maybe confuse the ******** out of her in the process. Lucyal So late in responding. @_@
