The general area on and around Barnaby Lane is an assortment of older manors that have fallen into disrepair over the years of neglect. Because the retail price continually declines with every passing year slum-lords will purchase these now dilapidated estates and rent to whoever is capable of paying rent. Thus, the place has become the unofficial slums of the city. There are some places to get a bite to eat if you are desperate enough. At the end of the lane is a port with shipping containers. Most people don't go down that far. It's not a good place to relax.
Kovac Residency A stretch of degrading townhouses renovated into floor-based apartments. Each floor is its own apartment. Six townhouses are interconnected making a total of eighteen apartments. (Currently Seven Vacancies)
Little Lettles It's one of the more popular diners in the area. The best out of worst so to speak.

Summoning The Disfavored
Ritual Site: Two Blocks from Butchers Alley. Rusev Kovac Residency. Apartment #3, Third Story.
"Mama always said sobriety was for quitters."
Terror inflamed Hademar's sense of purpose. Twitching chitinous limbs manifested themselves from the ceiling and floors. The imaginary appendages crept across Hademar's naked body. He recited dad's ill-advice too distract himself from the illusions piercing his pasty skin. Serrated thorns slid painfully slow when an appendage coiled awkwardly around a limb. The illusion of pain coaxed him to hunch forward and press a finger to one nostril, hastily snorting a line of cocaine from the table before him. He sigh drew out into an uncomfortable moan of pleasure as the agony seeped from his tortured form.
He blinked, only for a moment, and that was enough. Behind his eyelid were oily black pools where a deep ruby pupil stared back. Alastriona a name he never knew swam into his psyche of incohesive thought. Cohesive thoughts became swirling vortexs of letters and numbers, colors and shades. Any word he might attempt to muster, to speak came as a dry, haunting whisper Alastriona.
Seconds became minutes, minutes became seconds, days became hours... And perceptible time ceased existing. For as long as time itself Hademar and the vision of Alastriona stared back at one another. Those hungry, bloody eyes bore into his decrepit soul and terror chilled his heart to a crawl. "Wretched Daughter... Orphan Whore... How could you deny us... Deny me!" Some terrors couldn't trump others. The fate they prophesied should Hademar fail dwarfed her powers by comparison. They gift him with blessed ignorant, and such ignorance allows him amnesty from her bewitching powers.
He must continue, the ritual demands it.
The malicious insect limbs withered into ashy flakes before his now opening eyes. He snickered manically and through himself around, facing the window opposite to his desk and shouted. "Sha'Veen'Glrath! Sha'Vee'Glarth!" A sudden rapping at his study door disturbed his ritual. The pitched voice of the squatting woman spoke with a distinct sense of fright in her words. "Mar, what're ya doing?!" Of course her panicked words fell on deaf ears. Her disturbed host was in the midst of communion and his attention belonged to them.
He fell hard on his knees and began scribbling indescribable texts with chalk drenched in oil and sulfur. The insistent beating on his door stopped, as did her irritating voice stop in mid-sentence. Time truly did stop.
"Blood and piss, blend them with orphan feces and seal the contents in a pouch of human leather. An appropriate hell, wouldn't you agree?"
Hunched over on bruised and bleeding knees, Hademar recited the crafts of Doctor Lucretia. The foul witch wore a foul smelling cloak of rat and rodent fur. Simply thinking of that emaciated wretch brought the stink of death to his confused senses. It distracted from the suffocating choir invading his psyche. A grand crescendo of agony rose to a deafening volume as innumerable victims choked and gasped for oxygen. Fortunately whoever kept beating his door so vigorously couldn't hear... No one could hear. The entire building would smell that cobbled together cloak of living and dead rodents. His Illicit Text brought even the unintentional into existence. For blocks the rancid smell would have stranger keeling over vomiting profusely by the ungodly smell.
Himself, he didn't care. The stink kept his thoughts away from the cacophany of strangulation dwelling in his psyche.
"Oh sweetling, open for num-nums."
Now he needed rage, unadulterated hatred to infuse his texts. That pear shaped whore nurse Ophelia, always sedating him, always feeding him excrement and raw meat. "I'll kill her!" Such unbridled rage appeased the eldritch beasts. In a fit of rage he through the chalk out the closed window. Glass shattered onto the mosaic he'd drawn across his studies floor... And the choir was silenced. A death rattle of victims gasped one last time before expiring in a realm mankind cannot fathom. He heard the happenings but seldom them saw them. Perhaps his insanity wasn't so all-consuming as to allow him an audience to these macabre events.
Tears welled up in his eyes when his study began shifting. He blinked away the tears and discovered his study was no more. "Sha'Veen'Glrath..." The words were fumbled on trembling lips. Hademar blinked again to see the tool his masters desire.
Alastriona's dreams would abruptly end. Her true form exposed to a scrawny naked man weeping profusely and covered in too many wounds. The serrated chains coiled tight around her body constricted until the thorns bit into bone. Crimson stalagmites looming above exuded a faint red luminescence throughout the cavern she appeared in. At the center sat a hunched figured covered in too many rounds. His scrawny form naked form was layered in crested blood. Shadows cast by the eldritch glow cast long shadows, fortunately covering his genitals. She'd see his back bucking and hear the stranger audibly sob into shivering fingers.
"Disfavored Spawn... Neverborn..." Hademar whispered while he struggled to compose himself. His hazel eyes were pits of darkness and inky streaks, presumably tears, ran down his cheeks. "Alastriona, Unloved Daughter... You life is an affr--" Without explanation Hademar slapped himself with a resounding clap echoing across the chamber. He sat upright and repeated again, and again, and again. The tell tale signs of bruising were evident after that fit of self abuse.
He sat there for a single second, wobbled in a concussed induced daze and smiled with bleeding gums. The darkness faded and his hazel eyes returned, bloodshot and wild. "Flee."
Alastriona wouldn't have a moment to reply or interrogate. She'd awake after Hademar spoke, presumably perplexed. An acrid scent of cheap liquor and cheaper cigars would permeate her dwelling. This was Hademar's scent, the scent of the intruder of her dreams. Hademar. Much like her own name did, his name crept into her thoughts and soon onto her lips. He was summoning her, calling her to wherever The Wretched linger.
Hademar, on the other hand, was found naked and unconscious on the mosaic of blood. Elaine screamed in fright and rushed to his side, wiping away the cocaine from his nose.
News reports that for the following days focused on the anomalous event which spurred a city apartment complex into a nauseous riot of vomiting.
As it was day time Jenny was making a quick stop to the McDonald to pick up some quick lunch for herself and her new boyfriend Esper, it was wild to think that they had just started dating with each other. But they had only been dating since yesterday but her first kiss was stolen by Esper but she liked it that way; as she walked to the car where the stake out was going to be she tapped on the window of the car. She was also holding a cup holder of two drinks and a bag with a big mac meal and whatever Esper ordered, once the car was unlocked she opened up the shotgun seat and sat in as she closed the door as she sat down. "Ok so the case for this is that there prostitution happening on this lane, we have to stake it out and see if there are any odd activities. Since we didn't eat lunch I got some food for us, I got your favorite too~!" Jenny said as she pulled out her big mac as she also handed him his meal as well, taking hers out and eating it she paused for a moment as she leaned over and kissed him on his cheek as she blushed. "Ah..uhm so looks like nothing is going on yet." Jenny said as she ate her burger as she also watched the streets to see if there was anything suspicious going on, but for the most part it seemed like everything was pretty normal.

With a tap on the tinted windows Esper stirred and yawned as he got up from his nap and unlocked the door. She was all but a blur as he was still waking up from his nap though the kiss on he cheek caused him to smile, taking his bag and opened to see ten piece chicken nuggets and large fries. Though his drink would be a nice warm cup of black coffee, didn't talk much as he opened the sweet and sour sauce and began eating his chicken nuggets. "I love Nuggets..mmm your amazing. Sorry I couldn't come in, thought I'd take a nap before the long night." Destroying the nuggets he left the fries in the bad and set in the back seat, taking his coffee he sipped on it in his left hand. He knew how it worked, already moved his seat all the way back so he had more room to relax, he set the coffee in the cupholder. Setting his right hand on her lap he turned to face her, "Thanks for the food, this is turning into date rather than job."
Giggling she shook her head and said. "Nah don't worry about it Esper I can handle it myself." She gave him a wink as she would eat her burger as well as keep a close watch to the area they were in, although she expected there to not be anything due to it being in the middle of the day. As she finished up her burger first she moved onto her fries while taking a sip of her Dr. Pepper, she felt his hand on her lap as she smiled and looked at him. "I mean we can do both right? Its not like we're going to get in trouble for something like that."Jenny said as she folded her legs with his hand on her thigh, she then leaned in to kiss him on the lips once then sat back in her seat. "Anyways for this job we have to look out for some suspicious activity, seems like theres some prostitution going on right now. Glad I brought my hero outfit as well."Jenny said as she had her gas mask on the front of the car so she could grab it fast. "I hope this doesn't take long though." Jenny said as she ate her fries while scanning the streets got any off activity.

wahmbulanceA HERO IS ON THE WAY!- wahmbulance
Nothing interesting was happening on the trash-ridden street. There was a slight argument between a couple. A rather brief one which mainly consisted of shouting and a slammed door at the end. An employee chased someone down the street only to return moments later. It would have been uncertain if he got what he wanted. Such occurrences were common in this area. It was a rundown part of the city. Littered with people who were either shady or had no other option because of lack of funds. As the sun started to set, the street became more lively. More little tiffs, but nothing worth worrying about. It wasn't until after dinner when something potentially promising happened. There were a couple of ladies who appeared on a certain corner. They didn't seem suspicious. They were just chatting after all. What was under their outwear was uncertain, but they were wearing what might have appeared to be dressy boots with heels.

The time had finally come. Lawrence threw on some light weight clothing and left the academy, if there was any boon to having few contacts at the school, it was that he could slip away without too many eyes noticing him. If anyone did spot him and ask where he planned on going for his day off he would tell them that he was planning on going for a run, and then hitting the gym or beach. If anyone bothered to actually investigate his lie, they would have to do a bit of sleuthing, which would be a waste of time on their end. The Scot recalled the directions that were given to him, head to Barnaby Lane and take a left at a place called Lettles. It didn't take long for the youth to find the diner, as it was one of the few places of actual note in the area.
Lawrence found himself in a tight alleyway, opposite to him was a small decline that led to a door. There was no one around at the time, and from the looks of it, there wasn't any of the usual signs of a ring, though it was probably handled differently in this part of the world than what he was used to. The Scot stopped in his tracks halfway through the alley, he held his chin as he began to note the lack of any of the usual tells, had he been given false information? No. Lawrence just needed to push forward and try the door.

The first semester of LeVane academy for him surprisingly flew by, and Dajanté attended more classes than he would like to admit (though he's skipped his fair share, that much is for sure). He really didn't make all that many friends, which again, isn't surprising in the least for him. The only thing that miffed him was Sophie's absence, so he spent way more time in the gym than normal for him (and Yoshiro, subsequently). He didn't talk all that much with his roommate so now that the teen was going to be starting classes officially, Dajanté hoped to see him more (mostly because it was actually getting kind of lonely in the room). Dajanté didn't think he improved all that much regarding his ability, but at least he could control it a little better (he thought). If only he could just summon a minor hurricane though—how sick would that be?!
One thing that really bothered Dajanté was that he still didn't know what to do, make his occupation for the long-run. Lawrence really had him questioning this since their "longest" conversation, despite the fact that he had mostly brushed it off to focus on school work instead during the first semester (a rarity for him in and of itself considering how much homework bores him). Dajanté once thought he knew what he wanted from life back when he got in with the wrong crowd in middle school, but things certainly changed after reality struck back in the guise of a blue uniform.
Now he was given the chance of a final decision for himself through the means of a "real" mission, so the LeVane student intended to take the opportunity very seriously, take it in from a critical standpoint coupled with the question: is the risk worth the turn-out? Dajanté prided himself on his ability to save and protect others, but he hated inflicting violence itself on others, even "villains." That being said, defense was really the best position the teen could ever hope for. Watching the offense inflict damage and possibly receive it in return was going to be painful though, Dajanté knew this, but unfortunately not everything can go his way. He just hoped she'd take only minimal damage.
Least we got an strong healer, Dajanté idly wondered, glancing the purple-haired girl's way. Said her name was Amethyst in the information packet, right? Janté didn't pay all that much attention to it, so he couldn't be too sure. What he did remember was that the break-down was definitely sound to him, so he had some faith in his team's ability to complete their mission. Dajanté assumed patrolling was too easy, but it also depended on where you patrolled.
And what he wasn't expecting was this dilapidated, stanky-a** town. Place kind of gave him the creeps, and had him second-guessing his decision to do this field mission adventure. Definitely helping me to decide a'right, Dajanté sighed, looking away from the buildings and adjusting his mask. Welp, all he could do was hope that only some minor action occurred at the least, although that was kind of hard when their teammate on the offensive role looked a little too much on the excited side. Their "chaperone" was had yet to artfully disappear, so perhaps they were going to get briefing or something before they were released to keep themselves, perhaps set up a base somewhere.
At least, Dajanté figured it'd be smart to set up some kind of base rather than travel in a group of four like they started, attracting who-knows-what. Janté patted the top of his head to make an itch go away and stuffed his hands into his windbreaker's pockets. The air was alarmingly mild today, which dampened Dajanté's mood considerably and definitely worried him. Mild winds made it a lot harder for him to summon cyclones, so if he actually had to really defend not only his teammates, but innocent bystanders as well, he was going to have a hell of a time. Swear if some big news pops up I'm ********' outta dis program.
Perhaps it was about time he got some sort of fan-supports...

Alright, field day! Amethyst got ready into her hero outfit and threw her hair into a ponytail like she always did. She didn't remember if she was supposed to meet up with the group there or at the academy, so they can travel together. Barnaby Lane was their patrol site. Maybe something interesting would happen besides a patrol though. Nothing too serious that they couldn't handle, but she knew it would be bound to happen. If she wanted to be a hero, she would not only have to take this seriously, but to expect the unexpected. Amethyst had the confidence in her healing ability to help out more if needed.
Once in their area, she stayed by just in case, keeping her eye on anything that may appear out of the ordinary.

The semester had already started and Gael had a lot of work and catching up to do to be able to do any of the assignments outside of class. He would wake up every morning, study, do some work, then continue on to the class rooms were he kept to himself for the time being as he caught up with all the work. One of the biggest classes he had a major interest in was Physiology of Superpowers. He needed to learn more about his powers since his major thing was being able to manipulate the carbon composition in his body. The teacher suggested researching more about the molecular composition of his body. He did as stated but still needed to learn more. The day finally came where he was caught up and was now assigned to patrol duty at a place called Barnaby Lane. He laughed at the name thinking of a very old cartoon called "Barnaby." I'm guessing it's going to be a nice little part of this city. He said with a grin taking over his face. Gael returned to his room and left his books on his desk. He placed his bag in his closet and changed to a black tee and a black pair of jeans. He threw on his black and white Adidas shoes and made his way out of the school campus.
As he walked casually towards the exit of the school, a faint sound of rustling began to surround him. His fingertips began to turn black, and the rustling continued as his suit began to cover his body. He turned his head from left to right as the transformation reached his neck and finally ending by covering his nose. He looked straight ahead with a mischievous look in his eyes. "Well... This will be interesting." Yoshi said as he looked forward to this assignment. Yoshi ran towards the area of his assignment. He undid part of his armor right by where his left pocket should be and reached into his pants pocket and pulled out the small notes he took in regards to his class mates assigned along side him. Amethyst and Dajanté? Interesting names for individuals.. and I wonder who this Saya teacher is... Yoshi shrugged. As he kept getting closer and closer to his destination he noticed the town degrade into what is Barnaby Lane. He stopped before he took another step and shook his head and chuckled. "Figures." He said with a smile and ran to what seemed to be the students for the group. "Hello, I'm Yoshi. Sorry I'm late." The tall black haired, black suited hero said introducing himself to his classmates.
”The toll of the warning bell My boots sink in bullet shells I have become an outlaw Nightmare of the damned The hangman left the scaffold I took him out, still blindfold I made this place a ghost town Painted the lanes red
I'll find you... I'll hunt you down I'll be your final nightmare
I am the Gunman I bring salvation on this day Here comes the Gunman You know that Vengeance is my name”
Stephan♞Wilson The☥Gunman
Working with gangs was nothing new to him, he had done it plenty often as a mercenary; however, back then he only worked with them so he could infiltrate them and take out a few ringleaders. For someone who never seemed to be on the good side of the law, he had a real hatred for crime. But now...now wasn't a time when he could pick and choose, he was a wanted man barely managing to stay alive, and if he wanted to continue existing, he would need to make some unsavory bargains. If he were truly in the spirit of bargaining, he could have just offered up his services to some of the shadier individuals, but even if he was on the lam, he wasn't about to go killing innocents just to preserve himself. No, there were very few people in this world whom he hated enough to kill, but when he saw those people, he did not hold back. He waited, as instructed, just beside the outside entrance to the cellar of some dilapidated 19th century manor that seemed to defy physics by still standing. About three minutes after their agreed meeting time, two goons approached to his right from down an alley while two more goons and a lackey with a small paper bag approached from the street to his left. There were solid walls both in front of and behind him. A trap. He tensed up, watching both parties approach as his body began to create small caliber ammo just in case.
Now the goons were within a long stride of him, while the lackey remained a little further back, obviously using the goons for cover. "I've got the goods, but I've also been given a better offer. It seems you are worth more than drugs, at least to the right people. Now, I consider myself a reasonable man, and the boss is even more reasonable: you give us a good reason and the goods are yours." "Guessing keeping your word isn't a high priority?" The lackey merely shook his head, "not to people with little use." "Then how about: we keep our original agreement, and I let you live? Surely they told you how dangerous I am? Or did they fail to mention it so they could get a cheaper price? Damn...sucks to be made a stooge, doesn't it?" The lackey merely smiled, "they told us how great you used to be. Said you were quite the killer back in your day. They also said you are old and on your last legs. But I applaud your brazen attitude. Be a shame to turn you over." As if on cue, two shots rang out and did...absolutely nothing, much to the surprise of the goons who had tried to cap him. Stephan smirked, "Idiots." He turned on the two goons and lackey, held his hand up as if telling them to stop, and in a fraction of a second three concussive booms were heard, capping the goons as they had tried to do to him, and the lackey jerked his arm back in pain, dropping the bag. Stephan slid past the distracted goons, grabbing the bag as he ran, and tore out into the street, firing a couple blasts back into the alley to buy him more time. Those shots didn't hit anyone, merely struck the walls, but that was the point. "After him! That bounty money is ours!" the lackey called out to who knows who. But soon, people began appearing from street corners and shady buildings, and they were all after him. By the time he had gotten a block away, there were over a dozen people chasing him. Stephan could not run far; his lungs were already barely functional, and so much exertion only made them struggle to maintain minimum function. Already he was coughing up little splatters of blood, leaving a spotty trail. Exhaustion was beginning to set in, and unless they all decided to give up on chasing him, he was going to need a place to hole up and defend himself, at least until he could catch his breath. Before he could even catch it, it was knocked out of him; two hands grabbed on to him, and threw him through the window of...looked like a diner, maybe. He crashed in a heap amongst shards of broken glass and the screams of a dozen patrons. s**t, they aren't going to be careful just because there are innocents around. Damn it. He staggered up and fired a warning shot just barely grazing the man who threw him's head, buying him a little time. "Everyone behind the counter if you know what is good for you!" he yelled at the patrons, who quickly scurried behind the counter and out of the line of fire. Stephan flipped over a few tables for cover, firing off shots at anyone who got too close to the broken window or front door.
”It was a sunny day When I learned to stand up So fearful and afraid I held you in my arms So warm and so alive The day I went away They said I had to leave For glory and for peace For honour and for boon It won't be long until Our enemies are banned They take me back home soon Your picture in my heart Will give me will and strength And help me to hold out
I'll save the world for you My little boy I'll save the world for you
The winds of darkness will take me away On winds of blankness I'm going astray I'm going under I'm losing my way I'm freely falling I'm going astray”

First semester is over and Hwan managed to survive it. It started out pretty okay, was doing well in classes and met Kokyu.. but.. you all know how that ended. Well, he didn't take that well and he had a rough time dealing with it. He became depressed and slowly stopped functioning and Han's attempt to help him stay afloat couldn't keep up with his declining state. Over the course of nearly two months, he has lost nearly ten pounds, skipped several classes and basically locked himself in his dorm most of the time. And it went on to the point that Hwan was so dehydrated and malnourished he passed out in class. That was his lowest point, staying at the nurse's office after Seiji nearly drowned him with water till he could stand on his feet again followed by Han borderline tiger moming him back to decent health. His recovering took roughly a few months, though it’s not a full recovery but it’s an improvement from where he started from. So right now he’s trying to take better care of himself to not repeat that.
Anyways, moving on. Today is that field class training thing where they go out to the city and.. do stuff to give them experience in the field and so and. Not really thrilled that he wasn’t teamed up with Haneul or Yasuhiro but on the plus side, he was teamed up with Dajante who is one of the people he wanted to team with. He’s one of the calmer students that he can tolerate more. Then again he favours anyone who quite and calm, the opposites always makes him feel on edge for the fact that his hearing is sensitive, though if it wasn’t for the device Prom and Seiji made; it would have been worse for him. He tried to avoid the whole suit thing at the beginning of the school cause he doesn’t really see him wear anything specifically for it and it wasn’t his thing but.. Han had other plans because he wanted to change his suit and gave him his old one. Besides the slightly weird part that he’s wearing his twin’s hand-me-downs, it’s a decent hit, plus the hood seems to tone down the backlash of sensitive hearing. He’s also with Amethyst who seems to be a good healer after the pink haired professor and…. Cali, she’s someone who has quite a temper, though he doesn’t have much to say since he also has a short temper; but in his defence, it came with his peculiarity.
Apparently his team is meeting at ‘Barnaby Lane’, the sketchy part of the city. Probably why they had Amethyst in the team, they might run into something serious. When he managed to find the meeting spot, he noticed an extra body. Someone he hasn’t seen before, when did he get added on? He approaches the three though he can feel the hair in the back of his neck standing up. He’s not good with new people, he usually puts his guard up high around unfamiliar faces. Despite trying to tell himself that he’s a classmate; his pupils have already dilated but only for a moment before constricting back to a normal size. ”Hi….sorry for getting here late. Got lost on the way…” Saying that as he turned to face the mystery guy, he didn’t take the sheet with him so he probably missed his name. ”And….. who are you?”
So, they’re missing another teammate and the teacher who’s supposed to be supervising them. Not really sure they can even come up with some group plan without needing to repeat it later, all he knows is that he’s the scout. Though the awkward silence didn’t last long when a sudden series of bangs from a gun. He momentarily covers his ringing ears before turning his head to the other three. ”Now’s probably a good time to find cover.” He pointed out the obvious before looking around before he spotted an abandoned van on the side of the road before he makes haste towards the vehicle expecting others to follow.
This whole field mission was botched from the start, with his teammates showing up late, to their supposed supervisor not even greeting them before their patrol, and now a student not even on the list? While Dajanté didn't know half his teammates, he was sure as fire that the black-suited dude with black hair was not on his team (he's had Hwan as a classmate, and the others had female names, so the black-haired man was definitely a surprise to him). Dajanté crossed his arms and nodded at the guy's casual greeting, side-glancing at Amethyst to see if she had any insight as to who the heck this guy was (not to mention her butt had literally just wandered over to where he was herself, and didn't even bother to say hi, so she added to his quickly-souring-mood too. Just what the hell was going on today).
"...Yo," Dajanté squared his shoulders and managed to greet the guy in the end to keep his calm. Gotta go wit de flow on missions, Janté, just go wit de flow...he trailed off in his mind and closed his eyes for a split second, taking in a deep breath. Hwan decided to show his face at that moment, just before Dajanté decided to share his name, properly greet the sudden new teammate.
His eyes snapped open when Hwan got right into interrogating the newcomer, dropping his arms to make his way over to greet Hwan when s**t really hit the fan. Rounds fired ricocheted off surrounding buildings not far down the street, shots echoing in their wake, and the sound of shattering glass set off the missing screams. Now this was a scene if Dajanté ever heard one, so it was no surprise when Hwan jumped right into action and—
took cover behind a van...
F*ckin' knew this town was gon' be somethin', Dajanté sighed and turned to follow Hwan. But before he started on his own, he looked back to his teammates and jerked his head for them to follow. "Get a move on! We gotta situation on our hands now, but we gotta protect ourselves first," he shouted at them, fighting his instinct to scoop up the healer and carry her a** to the van if he had to. No way could they afford to have her go down under any circumstances.
So much for assigned roles, Dajanté thought as he slid down into a crouching a half-crouching position by Hwan, peering out from the side at the compromised diner. May as well learn about the situation to see what they could do about the assaulters. Although Dajanté couldn't see much from their distance, it was clear to him that the group of people running toward the diner were after a target. Could be a drug dealer for all he knew but even so, that didn't make it right that this mob was firing at innocent citizens. Dajanté rubbed his already-throbbing head from the ruckus and looked to Hwan, pondering over how to best handle the situation.
While it sucked that their supposed offense as awol, it didn't mean that they were totally helpless (and honestly, it may have been for the best considering the rumors Dajanté heard about their assigned offense). Hwan was their scout for a reason, right? Janté may not know a whole lot about the kid, but what he did know is that he had animal-like abilities. That being known, he had an idea about how they could possibly eliminate the threat to the mass, but it would only work if his previous assumption about there being a target was right.
Dajanté pressed his back against the van and looked to Hwan, running his hand along his dreads, an idle habit of making sure they were all secured by his band. "Ey Hwan," he started. "Got an idea, but s' gonna sound a lil crazy on your end. How fast can ya run, an ya gotta be sneaky in this sticky situation." Dajanté would've involved the other dude had he known more, but he only just met the guy so he opted for working with what he did know first. "This don look like no enemy we wanna take on head-on, specially wit all the innocents involved now, so I figure it's bes if we relocate the issue. Think you can find out what dis mob is after? I'm thinkin' dere's jus one target so if we can move 'im, then the guys will go elsewhere. But need some confirmation first, ya feel me?" Okay, Djanté doubted the guy wanted to just jump into that diner by himself, so he wouldn't be surprised if Hwan opted for a different plan, but it didn't hurt to at least ask.
"I can give you cover if s**t gets hairy, course, but I'd like to save my energy for a more ballsy move to get us out of dis joint as fast as possible too. Whaddaya say, man?" Dajanté stepped away from the van and idly wondered if one of his teammates had some rope on their person. Gonna need to tie us together so we don't separate when everything goes black now.
"If it's just one dude, then break all the lights ya can in the buildin' to let me know the plan is a-go. I'll cut off all the natural light and get our asses movin to the next street over or so, and you scoop up the target and make 'em follow us. You can navigate by scent, right? Cause I'll be cutting off all the light, an I mean all light man. I'll keep the rest of us together though. Can only do it for up to two minutes though, so ya gotta make quick work with the target. Don't do it if they're too many peeps them guys're after though—don't want ya stressin' trying to pull more than you can handle along, ya feel?"

Today was just not his day. Correction, any day of the week wasn’t. This man had to wake up at some ungodly hour, which was probably around 8 A.M if we wanted to be honest. But what made this far more unholy was having to be assigned to this Field Day event. Yeah, he trained the little s**t heads who signed up for his class, but that didn’t mean he wanted to babysit them in the city. He just didn’t have it in him to watch them all forget their training and fail on a simple mission. It went without saying that the Combat Professor did not sleep well that day.
The tealnette was assigned to a rather unimpressive group of students. He was thoroughly aware of each young adult's incapabilities than whatever potential may have lingered on the tips of their fingers. But he was there to chaperone the young adults in their endeavor to be Heroes or whatever they wished for in the future. It was a good thing that Saya broke down what they were all supposed to be doing before the event: Patrol Barnaby Lane and keep the peace (in some flimsy little piece of paper that the students could have missed). That was oversimplifying a lot of things but he would leave it to the students to interpret what “peace” meant to them. After all, he was meant to observe them and not get in the way of their assignment. Saya had made it a point that he was not going to be assisting them on their mission. They were on their own today.
You had Dajanté Le'noir, the Weather Manipulator who would be acting as Defense. They had already looked in the boy’s file, something he created for himself to keep tabs on everyone that was or would be involved in his rigorous training. Hailstorm had an impressive track record regarding his visit with the Gym. When it came to honing his body and keeping in shape, this was the man that was nearly head and shoulders above the rest. But it took more than a healthy body to impress Saya.
Amethyst Hues, the Health Manipulator and the team’s Support. If the brats needed a capable healing peculiarity than it was one of the best in the schools. Now, if the girl was actually capable of using their God Tier gift was a completely different story. For all this tealnette could give a damn about, she could screw everything over and kill her own teammates. Ugh! The paperwork for that one would be a real b**** to fill out.
And the others? They were ******** no shows or terribly late! He didn’t need to waste any of his precious gray cells on people who didn’t want to take this whole event seriously not that this man was one to talk. He was, after all, not meeting them in Barnaby Lane. One lesson the kids needed to know was this: Not everything goes according to plan. They could complain or whatever about him not being there. He honestly didn’t give a damn. The kids had enough hand-holding in their life, it was time for reality to slap them across their face.
The Combat Professor got a call on his intercom that a student would be joining their group. 'Sure, bring them over. I’ve got nothing better to do with my life anyways.' Though those exact lines weren’t tossed to the person communicating with him, it held a similar message. Their new member of this group would be one Gael Yoshito. His peculiarity seemed to steam around Carbon within his body. Well, it might have gone deeper than that but he had very little interest right now. Even when Gael came bounding over to them in their outfit, he shrugged from the shadows. Nothing of great importance was happening and the kiddies were just trying to be something they weren’t right now.
And the universe wasn’t helping at this exact moment. Seemed like a scuffle of sorts was happening, meaning it was his cue to buzz off and watch. "Good luck." He told himself that before watching the kiddies go into action. The teal male said in a dry tone before shifting his form to look like your everyday crow. They flapped away from the group and nestled on a high enough building’s roof to keep an eye on things. He really did get comfortable in his spot and it was at a safe enough distance to be away from all the fighting. Some fellow crow members joined him and watched the spectacle. It seemed like some birds were placing bets on who would die today. Oh, the joy of fellow like-minded creatures.
[Saya will, by no means, provide assistance for the mission. Unless your character is about to get creamed/die, he will be watching and judging you all from the shadows. Good luck everyone!]

Quiet so far. Amethyst still stayed close to her team just in case and was on the look out. Nothing yet, but maybe something later. So far she has only met two of her team mates and not even her teacher, but maybe they were supervising somewhere. That meant they had to be on their toes the whole time, especially if they all were going for future heroes.
One of her team mates got there finally and didn't introduce himself, but now was not the time to ask him a bunch of questions to get to know him. Instead she would just wait until the field day was done. The series of bangs made her look toward the noise and wince at the ricochet. She looked toward Dajante, dubbing him the leader of this for now, since she wasn't quite sure what to do. Jumping into action was a no go, but maybe scoping out the area to see where they needed to go. Instead, she followed him to take cover with the van. She then nod at Dajante's plan, agreeing again of not jumping right in. The light part, not sure of, but it could work. "That sounds good."
