Liv stretched her legs. It was good to be outside, away from her studies. Better yet, she wasn't volunteering this year. And that pesky kumiho hybrid was nowhere in site. Life was great.

On a whim, she picked up a kidden plush that looked similar to a nixie, who was..very scantily clad. She blushed as she caught her gaze lingering. What was she doing? It wasn't like the nixie was going to be at the mixer. No matter how much she wished it.





Serenade didn't really have the time for this. She should be working, not following Lyric as his date. The thought made her blush, uncomfortable with the mere idea of holding hands with another person. This was awkward. But...Lyric couldn't have gone by himself. He had said it himself.

And she couldn't decline his demands. Not with the looming threat of losing her job. And, well, their friendship. They weren't dating right? This was all pretend?

A freshling dropped some bells on the ground. Thoughts momentarily distracted, Serenade picked them up and lifted her other hand but--the freshling was already gone. "Do you want them?" she looked to the other nightmare, nudging him.





Natalia eyed the time on her watch before looking up, her wings relaxed against her back. Here she was, alone, and no one was here. Well, not like she exactly knew of what they all looked like. This--this was a silly idea. A sigh came from her lips at the thought. She had thought that it was time to date. Money came more easily, it wasn't like she had any other obligations, her roommate was chill enough to have another guest over but....

Here? Now? With complete strangers? Natalia had never been the type to date someone who she didn't know beforehand. They had always been friends of hers. How did one date a stranger? Her eyes went down, ruffling an orange fennekits fur. It wasn't like she had any other friends to try and date though. And after cuddling with Jaiya, being able to pet someone else, to take care of someone else...that was a dream. This would have to do.

If only the other participants showed up.






Magdalene had decided to volunteer in the festival, clad in an outfit that made the large junior look like Kallisto. Giving kids plushes was fun! And the straggling adult or two that wanted to snag one from their booth. Humming, she stuffed one in her bag. Her shift was finally over. But just where was Andre? The smile shifted into a frown. He wasn't...sick again, was he?





Prim, proper. Clea flipped her hair. She was the best looking chimera in all of Hunter's Jubilee. As expected, of course. Who wouldn't like her on this blind mixer? Her eyes looked around for others who were possibly lost. This was the place that they were supposed to meet up at right? Of course. Clea was rarely ever wrong.

Her ears twitched, perking up as someone approached her...but it was only to give her a baby. "Really?!" she nearly screamed, stomping her foot. "This is ridiculous. I don't want this." It wasn't like she was that young!






Grizzle usually liked to be holed up at home, warm and comfortable in front of a fire. He was old, too old to enjoy the festivities of the hunter's jubilee. He didn't dance, he didn't like working on crafts, and food held no interest to him. The last time he had been here was...well, when his wife was alive. She left him at least fifteen years ago.
His new tenant was more lively though. And had pressured him into coming out. Seems like the festival had never changed. A junior thrusted out a plushie to him and he stared at it. Odd. "Er, thanks." It wasn't like he had any kids to give this too. Maybe he could throw it in the trash when they weren't looking...




Freedom! He was finally able to breath in the crisp winter air, to be able to move around outside, to stretch his mind. And to see all of the sights and smells of the festival! Life truly had become bliss---as long as he didn't think about his casted leg.

Which was hard to do when a furry creature brushed against his only working leg, making him tumble to the groan. Letting out a pained groan, Scooter turned his head to look at---a fennekit? "What--." It yipped at him, pouncing at his shoulder before looking up at Vann, unsure. "Can we keep it?" What was he even talking about. He didn't even like fennekits.





Dawn usually didn't go to festivals. They were too crowded, his guards were too overprotective, and there wasn't much to do that was his idea of fun. But..that was when he was single. That was no longer. His eyes danced around a few juniors who were eagerly holding out nezubat plushies. Deciding to take pity; Dawn picked one up. "It's not wrong." he smirked up at his lover, Dusk giving him a sultry look before offering it up the the other mutant.

Yoko's outfit wasn't leaving much to the imagination. With a yellow crop top and a frilly, pastel pink skirt, donned with a choker that hung a necklace down to the crest of her chest, she thought she looked quite stellar for the mixer. Perhaps a little under dressed but she quite enjoyed the way she prettied up.

Feeling eyes on her, she stopped sucking on the lollipop ring for a brief moment, looking and noticing a slaugh near the meetup point. Oh, was this one of the attendees? Eyes looking the slaugh up and down, her smirk grew and she sucked on the lollipop for a few seconds longer, wiggling the fingers of her other hand in a greeting as she approached. She always did have quite the fascination for those large hands...





This was annoying. There was better things he could be doing with his time. But unfortunately, he had a farce to keep up with. Such as being a socially active guy, with an active romantic life.

Except, he wasn't interested in that. Which was why Serenade was here. To be his date. Of course, Yoko was bound to complain, because it completely defeated the purpose of a date, but he thought just showing up to this thing was worth gratitude.

His eyes flickered to the earrings, staring. They were... cute. But no, he couldn't accept them. Not with his current identity. "You're stealing from freshlings, now?" he asked in a near sneer as he pushed a ringpop into his bag. He had long learned that he needed to bring his backpack for events like this... people just loved shoving their stuff at him.




Jaiya thought she'd much rather be snoozing on the couch or in Natalia's bed. Until she got her hands on this sinfully plushed seal. Snuggling it and purring delightfully, the hallowed bakeneko decided that this blind date mixer thing was perfectly alright now. She only agreed to go because Natalia wasn't available.

Lazy eyes looked to the meeting spot... and saw just the person she was missing. A small, lazy smile appeared on her lips as she slinked over to the fallen. "Are you here for the mixer as well?" she asked in a purr.





There was so much candy to be had! Gleefully, the fey picked up a little edible ring, immediately popping it into his mouth before he even slipped it on his finger.

Sneezing slightly, he rubbed at his nose at the bout of sniffles he had, before continuing to look for Mags. Where was she? Was she still helping out? Oh wait! There she was! "Mags!" he tried shouting, voice cracking into a small wheeze as one hand raised to wave at her, the other covering up his mouth to keep the spreading of germs.





The blind mixer had been her idea. Of course, it wasn't like an invention or discovery made by her, no. It was just... she was the one to put it all together and randomly pick out some people to invite.

And now, she was running late. She was on time, sure, but arriving on time for the planner was the same as being a half hour late. Sniffing at her rosewood scented infuser, she quickened her step, almost making it to the rendezvous point when she spotted one of the members. Clea. She didn't really know her, but was pretty sure she knew a friend of Clea's. The chimera was cute enough that Simone couldn't resist inviting her.

"Hey! Clea, right?" she called out, amused by the foot stamp she had witnessed and nearly whistled under her breath. Someone was a little princess, wasn't she? Simone didn't realize her dark little shadow following her.





City life was amazing! Eyes bright, Fili darted to a stall that held a bunch of candies, pulling out a heart ring pop, before skipping back over to Grizz. Promptly, he stuck the candy in his mouth, before speaking to the large man around the candy.

"I haven' been ta one of these since I was a freshie," he mused, before pulling the candy out with a satisfying 'pop'. His other arm went to cling to the large arm of his companion, leaning heavily on the older man. "Wanna taste?" he asked with a wiggle of his brows, presenting the freshly sucked lollipop to the hallowed.





It had happened when he wasn't looking. One moment, Scooter was hobbling beside the large hybrid, the next moment, he was sprawled on the ground. Vann turned at the clatter, frowning at the culprit. And then, frowning harder at the presented question.

"Why would you want to keep it?" he asked dryly, eyeing the fluffy familiar. "It'll probably break your other leg." Of course, Scooter was an idiot and felt immediate attachments and responsibilities towards helpless things. Vann noticed a stand that held free baby dolls. Quirking a brow, he performed a simple spell, levitating one of them over. "Wouldn't you rather take care of this?" he tried, holding the baby down towards Scooter as his other finger flicked to levitate the man off the floor. Years of honing his magic for criminal deeds made using it for trivial things a cinch.





Dusk stared at it for a bit, frowning as he tried to piece together. Why... the number 4? Was it math? He hated math...

And then it clicked, eyes flying wide, and he let out a hoot of laughter. "How funny!" he exclaimed, leaning closer to admire it. Batty for you. Well, he was batty for Dawn as well.

His eyes caught the sight of some candy rings and a humorous idea came to him. He moved over, grabbing a random one, before holding it up to his boyfriend. "Dawn... will you marry me?" he jokingly asked with a sheepish grin.

Coco arrived at the hunter's jubilee festival she looked around, she liked festivals a lot they gave her inspiration for her art she thought about the neko she had met at the winter festival and wondered how they were doing. They had been really nice to her and she hoped she would see them again at some point. She then went to look around and found a booth giving out ring pops she didn't have a true love so she wasn't sure what the ring pop would taste like, she licked it and it tasted like a rainbow. Coco laughed softly well perhaps that wasn't quite right since she had always loved art since she was a young freshling.

Reece strolls into the Hunter's Jubilee festival with her bunyip Neo at her side. She would've brought Bark but he was in time out for trying to eat the couch. The streets looked pretty much the same as they did last year only with a sad lack in bunyip plushes like the one she gave Liv. Still there was a lot of other kinds of plushes and candy too so that will definitely make up for it. She helped herself to a ring pop. It was one of those heart shaped ones that light up if you click the button on the bottom. She selected one at random and it turned out to be an orange citrus flavor. Not her favorite but still good.

Marissa strolled pasts the booths wide eyed with glee. She loved the Jubilee. There was nothing more romantic than a festival all about hearts and candy and plushes.... and gifts! She loved how the decorations set the mood. Sadly she had no one to share the festival with but not to worry! She knew her soulmate was out there just waiting to shower her with all sorts of love and affection. These events always had a catch, an adoption event or some sort of charity tied to it. Marissa didn't really mind the pet adoptions though, infact she was rather interested in taking someone home with her. Up until now her only familiars were less than interactive. She wanted something fluffy she could cuddle. Luckily for her she found a fennekits adoption station just busting with fluffy babies for her to pick from. Kneeling down next to the pen she found herself torn between a cute one with a bow and an equally cute one with a fire marking on his butt.




Luma grinned picking up what appeared to be some sort of elongated vesper cat plushie. She had always been good at carnival games plus it was purple her favorite color so how could she not take it home? It was a nice little event this Hunter's Jubilee. Usually she wouldn't attend because its more of a couple thing... but now having been in a relationship she felt right at home amongst the hearts and bouquets of roses. Luma wasn't rly sure if Crowley would be able to make it but if not she could always pick him up something nice for the occasion.

Ooooh boy, she looked her way. Liv gulped heavily and picked up a bag of candy bark on impulse. It didn't take her long at all to rip it open and start munching away at the sweet. Crumbs were getting on her dress but frankly, she couldn't give a damn. Why did it have to be now? Why did it have to be her? She--she wasn't prepared! She was still young. Too young. Her career and college were still ahead of her. What was she doing here? At a mixer? At the hunter's jubilee? Oh, no, no, no, no, no. What was she going to do?

"Hi, sorry you're a mistake." she blurted out without thought, a purple tint running to her cheeks. Wait, that wasn't what she meant to say! "Sorry I'm a mistake-I--I mean--hi." she let out lamely, her large slaugh hands squeezing the treat tight.





Oh. He didn't want them. Her face paled, as her eyes flitted from the earrings and back to Lyric. "I-I didn't mean to take them!" her eyes zoomed to look for the little child once more and found--well--nothing. Oh no. "I was trying to give them back." the grimm bit her lip, her pleading gaze going back to the male. "But they were already gone by the time I reached out! I--Can we go find the owner?" she rocked on her toes. How was she going to make Lyric not upset with her? Finding him in a good mood was always...difficult.

She picked up a kidden from the ground as well, patting it from it's dirt. "W-would you like this?" she tried, worrying her lip. How was she going to make him happy...





Natalia certainly wasn't expecting her roommate to pop up. Her eyes went wide as she eyed her roommate up and down. "I....yes." she said slowly, grabbing a bouquet of roses off the table and picking at them slowly, one by one the petals fell as her brain worked. "You're...looking as well?" she raised a brow, slight jealousy creeping into the back of her mind.

But that was ridiculous. Jaiya should be able to see whomever they liked. Why did she care? It wasn't like they were together.






Andre's call did not go unheard. The dryad let out a huge breath of relief that she didn't realize that she was holding, one of her hips laying up against
one of the nearby tables. Andre liked candy right? She pulled out a ring pop, coming over to the boy. "My bumblin bee!" She gave him a blooming smile, reaching over to give him a large hug. He---was he too warm? She frowned, reaching over to feel his forehead. "Are you sick?" It would be no surprise but it still made her worry. Poor kid's body was always out to get him.







"W-What did you break a nail?" Clea's eyes zoned in on the nightmare who was talking, enraged. Her eyes were practically filled with fiery wrath. The voice that chortled the words between hysterical laughter didn't seem fazed. The freshling held their gut.that was, until the girl stomped her way over, her hands balled into fists. "What did you say?!" It was enough to make the freshling's laughter die down and gulp, making him scramble...and leaving a salamander plush in their dust. Well, it looked like a salamander. She picked it up, stomping her foot once more and nearly squeezing it's eyes out. The nerve of non chimeras.

Another voice?! Her lip curled in distaste, eyes nearly slitted. Who now?!


Clea's head whipped around to see. Who knew of her name, who was going to potentially make fun of someone of royalty. She had plenty of anger to unleash. But..who she saw nearly took her breath away. Another chimera and....jeez, was she cute. Her lips parted to say something, but no words came out, making her lips smack back to their original position. "Who are you?" How did she know her name? Clea stared, doubtful and now unsure. "How do you know my name?" Paparazzi? But she didn't look the part....







Grizzle stared down at his young charge--lover---thing, of sorts. Grizzle wasn't sure what they were but it had definately gone past mere companionship. It was weird. Any day now, Fili would get bored of him and leave him, find someone much younger and handsome. It was inevitable. He just had to wait for that time. No use in investing feelings in someone who wasn't there for the long haul.

"Mmm. He hummed non committedly, looking over at the other booth. He didn't know what the man had in his hand, but sharing...indirect kisses...that wasn't his thing. "No thanks." He reached over and grabbed another nezubat plushie, shoving it towards the other male. "A gift, for you." The younger generation liked this sort of thing, didn't they?




Scooter looked to the fennekit and then back to Vann with a helpless shrug. It...It seemed interested in staying with him. It hadn't moved. In fact, it cozied right up against his head where he couldn't see them. Or...did the familiar already have an owner? Scooter gave a weak shrug. "What if we don't keep it? Whose going to take care of the little guy?" He mused, reaching above his head to scratch behind the fennekit's ears.

But....Vann did have a point. It was bad enough that he already had a weak leg that he could barely go out with. Man, he was so stupid. He really should have known better not to sleep in that one alley. He should have found better shelter. If he did...well, then he wouldn't have to rely so much on Vann. Why couldn't he have waited until he had enough money to afford a shoddy apartment? Now he was stuck even more in debt than before with less freedom.

At least Vann was kind enough not to mind..or so it seemed. Still, he couldn't help but feel a bit bad.

His eyes caught something glinting off the floor and, just as he was levitating in the air, the hallowed imp hybrid picked it up. "Hey!" his good foot wiggled around to try and find some purchase on the ground. Levitation and magic was really cool and all, but Vann had a knack of doing it to him. He didn't have wings like he did. His feet were meant to be on the floor. At all times. No exceptions. Scared eyes sought out their lovers but wound up staring mystified at the plushie that was also being levitated off of a booth. "T-That?!" he pulled his eyes away from the plush and to Vann before grinning. "What, are you telling me you want to have kids?" he teased, reaching for his crutches but being a bit too high in the air to get them. Damn leg.

"Look," he held up the earrings that he had just picked up, giving them a little jingle. "I can put this on them so I know when they'll be near!" That was safe enough wasn't it?





While Dusk stared, Dawn did the same right back at him. What was wrong? He knew it was a lame plush, but did Dusk really not like it that much? That..that was stupid. It was just a small little plushie that was free. If he didn't like it then he could have always put it back for some other kid.

But just as he was about to reach out and snag it, he laughed. Dawn's face fell, his eyes going wide and he blinked slowly, trying to register just what was going on. "That was funny?" He..may have thought that it was a bit amusing but to actually laugh out loud..that was a different matter. It didn't hit his funny bone at all.


Shrugging it off, he watched his lover curiously. Ring pops?? Dusk must have been hungry.

Apparently, not.

Marriage? He blinked a few more times. That....he didn't think they were at that stage. Dusk hadn't met all of his family yet. He didn't know about the mafia that he was intended to inherit, or even any of the embarrassing stories that the mafia had about him as a kid. But...he didn't not like Dusk. Being with him was more than just lust and he hadn't felt this way about someone since his first crush.

What could go wrong? "Sure." Dawn shrugged and took the ring, putting it on. "I thought you would plan a proposal out better." he mused. Not like he really cared. Either way it was going to be replaced with a wedding ceremony and another ring. Why spend a vast amount of money on one that was bound to be replaced?


The baphomet walked over to the stall and picked out a ring for Dusk as well. "Here." he took one of the heart rings and grabbed the man's hand, uncurling his left ring finger before placing the ring on it. "I suppose I should be calling you fiancee now."
