gaia_crown WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: THE MECHANICS
Quote: gaia_star From here: Your character can not be in multiple threads at once. Thus, when moving your character from thread to thread after completing objectives, please tag the top of your posts with [ (character name) is ENTERING ] when going into a thread, and tag the bottom of your posts with [ (character name) is EXITING ] when leaving any thread so that people know! If you're interacting with another player, common courtesy is to give them 24 hours from when you posted to respond. If the player does not reply to you in 24 hours, please feel free to move on! This isn't to be rude, but to be fair to everyone to let them experience as much as the event as possible and to not hold anyone up Mauvians! If you have a human form unlocked, you are free to use it!
gaia_star Battling Yeah, you know it. You're free to attack anyone in any thread. Friendly fire is also turned on, so you're free to attack anyone on the same side as you if you're thirsty for a fight Fighting will be done through dice rolling to keep it fair. Please use the corresponding stats for your character's appropriate level:
Civilians HP: 10 / 10 Dice: 1d6 (total is the amount of damage you do)
Basics / Lieutenants / Mauvians (cat form) HP: 20 / 20 Dice: 1d8
Supers / Captains / Mauvians (human form) HP: 30 / 30 Dice: 1d10
Eternals / Generals HP: 40 / 40 Dice: 1d12
Please don't be mean and rude and gang up on another player, unless it's discussed before hand for suffering reasons. Nyx or myself will step in otherwise Your HP carries over to any thread you go to, which could put you at a disadvantage when tackling prompts! Consequences, right? If at any point your HP reaches 0, go [ HERE ]

gaia_crown WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: THE TRIAL
Game Activated:
Landing on the ground seems a bit daunting. The ambiguous voice and all mighty power has offered something though: origami charms, falling alongside you. When you take one, you find yourself flying in the air! You are on an Origami Crane (your choice of color and pattern). The land below is hundreds of miles away, but the crane seems pretty solid and steady.
A few testing steps and movements later, you have gotten down the way to fly on the little thing. That's not the trial though.
From the middle of an area, Mintaka appears, running a hand through white hair.
"Hi guys!" She waves from an elaborate crane, sitting on it quite comfortably to be honest for a woman who released the party trick. If you look closely though, you can see that she is chained to the crane. "I will be your referee for this trial. I believe that is what I am." She saluted, before holding out one hand to one side of the sky.
"On this side, we have the -insert team name-" and her hand moves to the other side, "And here we have -insert team name-". She sighs.
"The rules are, anything goes! So you know...." She sighed again, "There will be fighting." Then another pause, "Ah but....we are looking for something guys, it flits through the air. It's super small and GOLDEN." She shouted, "Do you hear, it's GOLDEN. So please make sure not to fight ALL the time. WE do wanna....not be here." She smiled sheepishly.
Quote: gaia_star This is Totally Catching the Snitch Thing:Rules: Roll a dice between 1-100. This should be bolded in red lettering at the top of your post that you are rolling to catch the snitch! (So as not to be confused for if you are battling!)
Your goal is to get to 10 points. Please keep your tally of points in RED BOLD print
If you choose to battle in between your rolls, please keep your HP and Damage at the bottom of your post in bold. That will make it easier for everyone around. Battling is NOT required. You can if you want, just try to find the golden snitch
If you don't want to participate, you can just fly your crane around! Far, far, far below you is land. If you choose to go, it's a grassy plain that stretches into eternity. There's nothing else that exists down there. If you try to fly higher into the sky, you eventually hit what feels like a glass wall
1-20: You don't see a thing, also Cranes are really hard to fight on. Nothing happens, but you should be careful! 21-30: You capture a black ball of DEATH. It goes Kablooy and you are sent immediately to [ HERE ] (You do not lose points) 31-50:You capture a white solid piece of cloud. Again...not the snitch you are looking for but it looks like you still get points! +5 points 51-69: You knock into another player, knocking their points out of their hands! Quote the player above you, apologize I guess and get back to finding the thing! (or you could duke it out, you know, it's kind of a b***h move. Mintaka will look the other way.) 69-75: You find a silver...snitch??? Not the one you are looking for but Mintaka waves a flag for you. Looks like you still get points! +5 points 76-89: You capture a white solid piece of cloud. Again...not the snitch you are looking for but it looks like you still get points! +5 points 90-99: You capture a black ball of DEATH. It goes Kablooy and you are sent immediately to [ HERE ] (You do not lose points) 100: It's the GOLDEN SNITCH. Except it's actually a golden Crane BUT WHATEVER YOU GOT THE THING. It turns into a 100 DMG Potion for you to add to your inventory. +10 points, you have cleared the trial! You may move on to other trials
gaia_star THE END RESULT Upon successful catching of the Snitch or an accumulation of 10 points, you win! Completion of this trial also grants you an attack potion to add to your inventory! It deals 50 HP worth of damage. You can either use it now on some poor soul, or hold onto it for later! You're free to stay and cruise the skies and mingle...or attack! If you want to leave, thinking about the Central Hub teleports you away and returns you there!

[ Sailor Phoebe ] - Rolling
She'd expected a bit of a tumble when she'd gotten sucked up into the new bottle, but what she hadn't expected was to find herself miles in the air and suddenly free falling. Her stomach flipped, pulse jumping into her throat, and the second she got enough air in her lungs for it she screamed as she tumbled head over heels through the open ski.
Until suddenly she wasn't anymore. The landing was rough, but Phoebe would take the miner aches and bruises if it meant not becoming a senshi pancake. She clung to the thing she'd landed on, arms wrapped tightly around a long, slenderish portion of it while her knees squeezed in on either side.
And for a long moment she stayed that way, eyes closed and clinging. Waiting for her pulse to stop hammering in her ears at a deafening level. When she did open her eyes she found herself sitting on what appeared to be an over large paper crane. Which, considering everything else that'd happened so far shouldn't have been that crazy, but it still was, and the Dark Mirror's explanation of what she was supposed to be doing didn't exactly clear things up.
But that wasn't going to stop her from giving it a go. The sooner she did what was being asked, that meant the sooner they all got to go home, right?
Through trial and error she figured out how to get her crane moving, and after a rough, slow start she had managed to gain enough control and speed to scoop an arm full of puffy cloud out of the sky. Which wasn't what she needed, but she hadn't fallen off the crane and that was a win!

ACUBENS in ARRIVING Rolling HP: 40 / 40 Points: 5
Falling was an... unpleasant sensation, and it was only through blind flailing that Acubens found herself astride a paper crane not unlike the ones Mintaka had used in her attack. Acubens looked around for a moment to get her bearings and gather what information she could. Lucky for her they had someone to give them instructions. Wait... how the hell had Mintaka gotten there already? Acubens wanted to smile, she really did, but in light of how things were going, she couldn't bring herself to do so. Her nerves still prickled and ached from what was happening and she was still so worried about Lacerta and Jason.
She looked about for the both of them, hoping that they had also grabbed a crane as she had and would be along shortly. For the time being, however, it was her and another white moon senshi. Clumsily at first, and then with marginally more grace, Acubens made her way over, scooping up a handful of cloud in hopes of finding a snitch.
Nothing.
Still, when she was within earshot of the senshi, she called out, "Look, I know she said that this was a fight, but what do you say about working together to get out of this mess?"
She even offered a wink and a smile in her truce.

[ Jason is Entering ]
Jason had no been prepared at all for a free fall. There were a few places he was incredibly comfortable. Out at sea on his boat, on the ice with a pair of skates, but falling through the air? He might not have been screaming out loud, but he was a very silent panicker regardless. People who sky dived professionally were able to control their movements, but he had no idea how they could maintain any sanity with this painful sensation in the pits of their stomach.
Lacerta's screams from nearby did nothing to help calm his nerves, but luckily for him he felt on something that drastically reduced his fall. Much more unfortunate for him, he hadn't been paying attention to the guitar over his shoulder one bit. So, when he abruptly stopped because of the paper crane, it continued to slip off his shoulder and fall. Well, that was just fantastic. He should have left it behind in the park, what were the odds that someone would steal it in the middle of the night? Or, he should have asked someone else to store it for him.
He was pissed and could care less about whatever instructions were being given to them. It took him far too long to get used to the paper crane to go after Betsy, but then he wouldn't even have a chance because he flew through a cloud that had a very unpleasant surprise waiting for him.
He didn't even really see what it was, only felt something small bump into him before the things blew up, rather painfully, in front of his face.

Acubens Rolling HP: 40 / 40 Points: 5
Everything was happening so fast. The Mauvian arrived in a flutter of energy and excitement that was not at all jiving with the anxiety Acubens felt at that moment. An instant later Jason arrived, only to lose his guitar in the process of learning how to drive his own crane. She wasn't exactly good at flying this damn thing, but she was better than him and stood a better chance of saving his beloved guitar. And so, with everything that she was, all that she had in her, she kicked her crane into overdrive and dove after it.
A few moments of heart-pounding descent and then her hand closed around the guitar's wooden neck. She let out a cry of success and held it aloft from below, hoping Jason could see her.
But Jason was nowhere to be seen. Even his crane was missing, and though she searched the air for him, she knew what had happened to him. She let loose a howl of grief, anger once again taking over where fear was still uncharted territory. A moment of sorrow. That was all she allowed herself. Jason would be fine. He would awaken in his grave in that dark cemetery and she'd help him deal with that trauma later. For right now, however, she needed to focus. She needed to find that damned snitch. She dismissed the guitar in her hands to subspace, focusing on the here and now.
Jason's death was followed swiftly by Lacerta's own troubles when, as she attempted to gain control of her crane, she crashed into the mauvian and tossed him off. Acubens watched from below to ensure that he wasn't going to fall, and since she had done that, kicked her crane back up towards Lacerta.
"You okay, kid," she asked, out of breath and red in the face from both grief and exertion.
"Listen, when we get out of it, we're all going out for lattes. My treat, okay?"
Acubens, however, had only just finished her statement when she pulled a handful of something out of a nearby cloud. For a moment, she wondered if she hadn't found the snitch and held her breath. But when she laid eyes on it, Acubens could see that what she held in her hands was not gold, but instead pitch black.
"Well sh-"

Acubens HP: 40 / 40 Points: 5
This time, the fall through space was nothing this time, and Acubens easily grabbed another crane as she fell. Just like that, she was back, and more pissed than ever. Looking around, she noticed that Jason was not yet back, but Lacerta still seemed to be standing -- er --riding. Had she even died once so far? Looking back on their short stint in this strange pocket dimension, Acubens didn't recall that she did.
Atta girl...
Acubens spurred her crane on, anger quickly giving way to the warm, familiar swell of pride as she neared Lacerta. Even that pride, however, quickly cooled over at the sight of consternation on Lacerta's face. Acubens suddenly remembered that Lacerta was not only just a basic senshi, but still only in her teens. Acubens slowed her approach then, biting her lip with worry. She didn't want to scare the poor girl after all.
"Looks like you won it," she cooed, trying to stop the surge of pride from gushing out in her voice. It would be so easy to overwhelm Lacerta, Acubens worried. She playfully nudged her own crane into Lacerta's, the anxiety dissipating momentarily as she allowed herself this moment of calm.
"You know," she sighed, drawing the reigns of her crane up into her fists and leaning against the neck of her crane, "it's kind of pretty up here. And without the death... that was almost fun, wouldn't you say?" Almost fun. Not quite fun. But almost.
"How about you head back to the central hub, huh? I'll hang back for a few more minutes while we wait for Jason to come back. You look like you could use a rest anyway, and I think with the trial done that the threat of death is no longer an issue."

Mauvian Wendell - [ entering / rolling 0 / 10 pts ] INVENTORY: x2 health potions (+10 HP)
Fortunately for Wendell, he wasn't afraid of heights.
Unfortunately for Wendell, this was not really an ideal situation, although he supposed it could have been worse. He tumbled through the air with all the grace of a dancing bear, and then landed on all four paws on the ground, skidding a little as he did so.
This was a strange thing. Wendell, being a cat, did not quite understand what it was he was supposed to do, although there was a pretty lady with white hair instructing him to move, so he was going to attempt that as best he could. He clutched the sides with his paws and veered sideways, careening almost into the person in the crane beside him.
This wasn't so bad. It was kind of like steering a ship, after all.
"AHOY THERE!" he called jovially to the young woman, waving a paw in her direction. "ARE YOU WELL, FAIR MAIDEN?"
