The Exhibition Hall is likely a familiar sort of place for those that have attended a convention or two. Here's where the true hustle and bustle of the convention tends to be and it's the easiest way to get to both the Panel Rooms and the Gaming Corner. It's also where you'll find various artists who might be selling their wares from music or game-based posters to commission work or other things.
It's a great place for someone to showcase wares, from clothing to plushies and everything in between, or for local businesses to simply get their names out in the ever expanding world of Destiny City.
Or if you're hungry, there's some food-based vendors and there's probably a drink place here or there. Rumor has it the best local bakery and tea shop's set up a little cart so if you've got a sweet tooth craving, that might be where you want to sate it!

The Panelist Schedule
The convention's only running for one day and that means everything's packed down to the wire. With the intent of providing at least an hour per panel, they've been divided into four rooms. Room Two has performing stages, to accommodate the panelists with demonstrations and Room One simply has tables featuring various guests with seating for the attendees. It's a rather small list, all things considered, but for their introductory convention, the staff from Argent Industries is rather pleased by the amount of locally run panels.
Quote:
In ROOM ONE:
Jade Argent: Ally A's Commentary on Social Media Fame and YouTube success Mahogany Shapour: Beauty: A Guide on Looks You Can Start the Day With and Spruce Up at Night Ayesha Kamjik: Belly Dance; the Art and Costuming
Quote:
In ROOM TWO:
Suri Ellis: A Study in Electrical Engineering & VR Ezra Cadwell: FL Studio & Music Composition Sadie Avamir: An Introduction to ASMR H&H: Girls in Competitive Gaming
((OOC Note: Each 'panel' will have 72 hour 'rounds' that take place in the IC time frame of 1 hour during which players can come in and ask questions pertaining to the panel taking place. Each panelist will be quoted by me when it's their turn and are welcome to, if they are asked a question but don't have time to type out a full RP post PM me with an approximate answer that I can plug in via role of an NPC interviewer or one of my characters that might be participating in an event staff role.
Filler panels will be added between player panels and each participating player will receive a quote notification both when the previous panel is rounding to an end and once more when it's their panel's turn.
Any major questions, concerns, or inquiries should be tossed my way. Enjoy!))

It had taken some time, months of preparation and a lot of is this going to work the way we want but sure enough, Argent Industries was rolling out their first, small scale convention to the population of Destiny City. Jade was especially nervous, though she did her best to keep those nerves under wraps because there was so much of her on the line now. She wasn't just the face of the company, she was the name and she was going to be one of two panelists to start of the day.
Performing took almost no energy for her, she was on display practically 24/7 when it came to her life as it was, especially after the break up. In fact, outside of her weekly videos this was her first public appearance in several months.
She opted to stay by panel rooms, despite the fact that the convention opened at 11 and her panel (along with Miss Ellis's) didn't begin until 12:30. Still, there was a lot of things to double check and she'd been flitting in and out of Room One, messing with the table cloth on the panelist's table and rearranging the name tags.
"Approximately one hour until showtime begins. Are we ready?"

If you are listed, you are expected to linger around this area unless we've discussed you moving on
Otto Moor (played by Beejoux): Scheduling and Security Delilah Samson (played by seiana_zi): Schedule Management (Assistant to Jade Argent)
Ciaran had a phamplet in hand. Bag strung over her shoulders, the gamer and lower tier youtube star then Ally A (SHE STILL COULDN'T BELIEVE SHE MET HER....) brought sunglassed up to pin her hair back and smell the air of excitement.
These were her kind of people. This was her kind of space. This was her ZONE. She was READY. She didn't think Jade would mind but she sent an email to the woman. She didn't mind if the woman didn't read it, because god knew what she was setting up right now.
She pulled the listing of all the panels to go in order and excitedly circled the competitive gaming girls. She was always done for that.

When Delilah was told there was a convention coming up, and that she should likely try to assist, seeing as her general was one of the ones running Argent Industries, there was admittedly a moment where Delilah panicked. Convention? She barely knew anything about anything nerdy. What was she supposed to do when some dude came up to her and started quizzing her about comics history because she was a lady so of course she didn't know any better and she'd just confirm it because all she'd have to offer was the fact that Ms. Marvel was pretty interesting she guessed?
It was admittedly a relief that Jade was keeping her by her side, letting Delilah sit with a clipboard full of schedule information.
Delilah watched Jade flit in and out of the panel room. She seemed nervous. She knew how feeling nervous felt, but she wasn't really sure what comfort she could offer--
Wait, that was something she could offer! When Jade asked if they were ready, she looked over the schedule once, twice, thrice, and over again. Everything looked like it was in order. The list of panels was stable, she knew when every panel would start, she was fairly sure everyone had agreed to show up when they were supposed to. It was an hour and a half before anything started. She was certain that if anything was wrong, it would be an easy and quick enough fix before anyone noticed.
"I think so!" chirped Delilah, standing up and saluting playfully.

In a very very short amount of time Everything in his life had been flipped upside down and Otto--he still wasn't a hundred percent used to that name yet--had not quite settled into anything even remotely close to the daily routine he'd been used to. Hell, they'd only just managed to get the leasing arranged properly with his apartment so he could finally go back, but he hadn't made the move just yet. Soon, definitely soon, just not...yet.
The corruption had completely wiped his memories of what he'd been before waking up as captain of he Negaverse. A knight. He knew that much. Affiliated with Mercury. He had a bauble to confirm that, but no recollection of where it'd come from. He knew what his name had been, but only because he'd been told.
He'd held onto his memories as a civilian. Of being Axton finch. Of having a family, though trying to draw on details was difficult. He remembered Rory, what she meant to him. He remembered his meeting with Chase Black, and how intimidating he found the other man(things hadn't really changed on that front, he was still intimidating as hell). He remembered Desdemona. He remembered the immeasurable relief he'd felt when he'd learned he hadn't had to leave the girls behind when he'd been brought over, because they were his allies now.
Mostly, in the last couple of weeks, he remembered being confused. This was the first time he'd really gotten out with any measure of independence, and considering he literally had Chase in his ear dubbing it independence was a bit of a vernacular stretch.
Still, it was a chance to stretch his legs and to do something useful. He was getting restless, scrambled brain or not.
Clipboard in hand, earpiece tucked into his ear, Otto walked over to stand beside the woman he was pretty sure had been pointed out to him as Delilah, whom he'd been told was also dealing with scheduling. The other woman, Jade Argent, he hadn't met yet, but She was running this whole thing, and he thought perhaps she might be his boss..? Did he have a job?
He couldn't remember.
"Everything seems to be in order and on schedule so far," he added to Delilah's cheerful confirmation.

Jade Argent
It was reassuring to have a familiar face, even if she was still getting used to her relationship with Delilah. Chase was around, circling the convention and ensuring everything was getting set up correctly, likely with one of the employees that'd been required to participate, and she knew that if she needed him she could call for him.
But the point was to not have to call on him.
She was strong, independent, and this was hers.
Jade would be fine. Probably.
"Has Miss Ellis arrived for her set up yet?" Her question was largely directed towards her assistant but blue eyes cut over to the blonde who she offered a tentative smile towards.
"Good, that's great. Things..." Jade stopped herself before she began to ramble. "Stay close, please. I don't want a repeat of the last time I was at a big event like this."
Her phone buzzed, alerting her to a new e-mail from the lovely girl she'd met up with the other day. She took a moment to allow herself to be distracted to respond.

Otto Moor
"She has," he answered before Delilah could. Not to cut her off, but because Miss Ellis had checked in with him when she'd arrived, and he wasn't sure if she'd spoken to Delilah as well. "I believe she's making a quick circuit of the convention hall before circling back for her panel."
A small, thoughtful frown crossed pale features at her comment, and it took a moment for him to recall the music festival and the chaos that had taken place there. He hadn't thought much about it after the fact, not after he'd made sure Rory had made it out alright. The details on what had happened to her were a little foggy, but he could understand the apprehension accompanying being out in a large crowd again.
Tucking the clipboard under his arm again he glanced around the room, lips drawing into a tight line. They were mostly alone. This early still, people hadn't started filtering in to claim seats yet.

Jade Argent & Isaac Argent
She knew a lot of her anxiety about the affairs was unwarranted, but the spotlight was on her in a way that she hadn't expected and was ultimately unprepared for. "Good, good," Jade mumbled under her breath, going over her own papers once again to ensure that she was prepared for her panel.
Glancing back over her shoulder she squinted at the screen that they'd set up to play clips or do camera close ups for those that couldn't get the best seats. "Did we test the screen already?" They had, but she was probably going to ask them to go over it again.
Last thing she needed was an incident or something not working when all of the boxes should have been checked.
People had begun filtering in around them and Jade exhaled slowly, grateful to see that people were somewhat interested. It wasn't going to be anything terribly exciting, just something simple about how they were in the digital era and a strong social media presence was needed. There was also going to be a bit of what being catapulted into fame via YouTube was like, but that would've been towards the end of things. Really it was a controlled way for her to meet and interact with her fans.
"I checked them when I got here," a masculine voice piped up from behind her and Jade turned, a large grin spreading across her lips at the sight of her soft spoken younger brother. "Figured I should do it, considering how you've been acting the last week or so."
The younger argent offered a polite and small smile to each of her companions. "Isaac, Jade's brother," he introduced, offering his hand to the man first, then the girl before resigning himself to stand a bit behind his older, larger than life personality of a sister.

Sadie Avamir
Sadie could, in theory, understand how people found fun in large crowds of brightly dressed people laughing and taking selfies in front of thinly veiled advertisements. Sadie, however, was not one of the people who could take flashy crowds for very long. After just the wait to get her badge, her head was already spinning.
No, Sadie was not really here for the crowds. After a quick glance at her map, she saw that the panel rooms were smaller, more focused, hopefully like a fresh piece of fruit instead of the smorgasboard of downstairs. When she arrived to the hallway, it was, at least, quieter. It was a good thing, as this was where she had planned to spend the better part of her day.
She didn't get so tied up in YouTube numbers like some people did, but she was both a creator and a viewer, and the very first panel was titled Ally A's Commentary on Social Media Fame and YouTube success. She'd watched a few of the girl's videos, and she'd seemed like a sweet enough bubbly vlogger type. Sadie was interested in what she had to say even if ended up being more of a pump up session and less about asking the deep questions.
She was a bit early, but she slipped into a middle row seat, where she would give a quick nod to the important looking group up front if they looked in her direction.
Smiling like a madman, Dorian practically bounced in his seat. He'd arrived early, excited about the prospect of A) going to a convention as he'd never been to one before and it would no doubt be a great opportunity to make friends, and B) He was really, really, REALLY interested on how to become youtube famous but like, in a good way. Lord knew there were many ways to gain fame but Dorian figured that some were better than others.
Smiling brightly and eyes fixed on the spot where the panelists would come to speak, he hoped it would be as fun as he anticipated that it would be. Granted his frame of reference had been TV shows that always shows conventions being jam packed and super fun but surely, this could just be like that one big one in california right? But that was for comics. This was- this was for youtube!
It was for youtube right? (He checked the booklet, just to be sure).
When he confirmed yes, this was about youtube, yes he was in the right spot and yes, it should be startin on time, Dorian finally looked to those present. A group was in front, looking to be a part of the staff? Did a convention have staff? Either way, they looked a bit busy and it probably wouldn't do to bother them. Instead, Dorian saw a woman nearby and like a young hound his brain lit up like a match at this new potential friend. Getting up to join her he smiled, "is it okay if I sit here? I'd rather not sit by myself and- I'm just really exciting about this whole thing!" He was practically hurting his own face with how much smiling he was doing.
While he was certain he would never become famous on youtube or any other media platform, Tobias could admit, ti was absolutely fascinating to understand the varied social media landscapes that very easily could change daily and impact so many lives with a single action. Nothing like it existed before, and as time passed, more means of fast media would become available. He'd arrived early to the convention, taking his time to menader the main hall before checking his pamphlet. The panels seemed interesting, and frankly, it was too ear;ly for him to consider stalking the tables. Most conventions he'd been to had been rather exciting affairs in the middle of the day rather than the morning. But those had been less media and more... craft and camping.
Going to the panel hall, he was surprised by the space and the turn out already looking for a seat. When he found one, he wondered perhaps, if this would be much like other conventions where the doors would close or, they're be open attendance. (Which from experience, was the bane of every fire marshal ever). 184

Jade Argent and Suri Ellis's panels are scheduled to start ICly in twenty minutes!
In both rooms event staff are flitting about to ensure that everything is set up and the panelists are given their twenty minutes and counting warnings. Jade would toss a smile over towards the girl who looked over (Sadie) before she excused herself from the immediate company of her brother (Isaac) and Otto. Delilah was expected to join her at the table, even if her own seat was separated and at the end of it.
Suri would find herself ushered over to the podium on the stage for hers, a large screen set up behind her for a more lecture-y feel than Jade's fast and loose seeming set up. Jade didn't doubt that when it came to these sorts of things, the woman in the room across the hall was likely better suited for it, but new was exciting and Jade intended to give it her all, just like her videos.
(( OOC Note: Panels go 'live' at 5 PM MST today, at that time, please allow the panelist's player time to get their little blurb out and once it's up, they'll be taking questions or comments. From here on, please specify which room you're in at the top of your post with the [ b ]ROOM ONE/TWO[ /b ] coding so we know what panel you're attending. Until then, please feel free to rp among the gathered and have some side chatter. If you have direct actions with people, please quote them. If you have questions, please contact me. ))
Quoting everyone that's posted, so they're aware panels will be starting.

Sadie was interrupted from her people watching of those upfront when someone slid into the seat next to her. She blinked and then she blinked again. Was it normal, in an empty room like this, to walk up to whoever else was around?
Well, it was easier to people watch from up close, and she wouldn't begrudge someone for not wanting to be alone. It seemed that this guy was bringing all the energy of the con in a more manageable, one person package, and his eyes were nice. "Oh, you're fine," she said, returning his big smile with one a little softer.
"I understand. There's a lot here. It's interesting." she said, still glancing around the room as other people began to filter in. It was true. There was enough going on that she could deal with the building feeling like a tin of sardines. It would make things nicer still if she she found people who shared her interests, and well, she was in a panel on YouTube. "Do you make videos?" she asked.
