This is the main road that travels in and out of the village. It's littered with farming communities and small clusters of homes to eitehr side of it all the way to the docks that travel on and off the island.

Takumi would arrive to the island via a small boat that Takumi would propel with his water manipulation technique. The road had been long, taking them roughly a week to arrive. While on their travels, Takumi had learned much about his companion's body language. Kagami's nature was akin to his own. Manipulative and deceitful. He would know her too well by this nature. "We've arrived" he said, stepping onto the dock. Walking up the road he would speak again. " I believe the village lies due north. We saw a glimpse of it as we approached the island."

Taylor was rather quiet throughout their travels. He traveled on land with Kagami and Takumi while Horus flew over head. Along the week traveling he learned a bit more about Takumi and Kagami. Takumi definitely seemed more convicted than evil, that's for sure. The way he moved spoke of someone with a purpose. As for Kagami, she seemed very nice. She was also quite beautiful, but Taylor did not find himself attracted to her. Overall, however, Taylor was deeply disturbed by the fact that, over the course of a week, no new memories returned. He religious repeated the memories he had unlocked as a safety blanket against the onslaught of doubt he had over his own identity. He wished that he knew more about who he was, but that was why they were on this journey. Well, that and also apparently to see Takumi's sister. As they approached the mainland, Taylor was afraid. What if there was nothing there which could trigger his memory? What if no one recognized him? What if he was truly alone? There was only one way to find answers, and it was to confront the truth.

__ Kagami walked away from the gates with Takumi and onto the main road of the Land of Eddies. "It was very strange. He walked up to a muscular man with black hair and red eyes and they seemed to know each other but I don't think Taylor remembered him but the black haired man remembered him. Then they started fighting for some reason and Taylor collapsed. I left after that happened, are you really sure about him? He seems like more trouble than he's worth. Not in his right mind." Kagami spoke and expressed her doubts about the crazy boy. This whole trip to Uzushiogakure seemed like a waste of time and she wanted to avoid returning to any villages at all cost from now on. Hopefully Takumi would share the sentiment.

Takumi would listen intently to Kagami. As they moved they would quickly gain distance from the gates. Good. It was safer this way now. Kagami's report of what happened would intrigue Takumi. " He collapsed? Did he display any strange behaviors, bodily changes?" He was sure his hunch about the boy would pay off. He would reserve his opinion of the value and trouble of the boy depending on the answer. The two would continue down the road as Takumi would spot a large mansion in the distance.

That was honestly the extent of her observations of Taylor's interaction with his long lost friend/possible mugger. She continued walking with the mansion in sight.

__ Zhi performed a single hand seal while making her way down the road. Her body became momentarily enveloped in a cloud of smoke. As she briskly walked out of it she would now be wearing her standard Oinin gear, complete with her mask. It was rare for her to do her missions outside of the village in anything else due to the way she absorbed Bastet's teachings. "Up ahead..." Zhi started to say to Tetsuhiko who was coming along with her for this assignment. "I noticed some strange activity out here just recently. It seemed like some Uzu shinobi were fighting and could use some help." Things were looking rough up ahead and it seemed like there were already allied casualties and injuries. Just as her sensory abilities revealed, several recognizable chakra signatures from Uzushiogakure were seen ahead. They were locked in a rather fierce fight with some other ninja. None of the enemies had any indication of their allegiance, but they were at least skilled enough to corner the squad of VORTEX shinobi. That was okay because the calvary had arrived. "Let's do this quickly!" The little black, blue and white blur that was Zhi blindsided several of their foes with swift, heavy cuts of her swords run along their necks and torsos with utmost precision from the Delayed Strike technique's forward-projected afterimages. Hopefully this would get their attention off of their troubled allies long enough for Tetsuhiko to clean up the rest of the opposition with his powerful art. 'The stage is yours now T-Fizzle~!' A crackling electrified mist of chakra enveloped her body and that of the many afterimages also darting around the battlefield thanks to her Innocent Rain technique as she kept herself in blurry motion in the meantime. __ Tetsuhiko arrived on the scene with his identity concealed by an elegant purple masquerade mask with peacock feathers. A velvet purple cloak covered the bare upper half of his puppet body as was the standard operating procedure for VORTEX, but Tetsuhiko would not wear a dull mask or some rag of a cape. When he heard Zhi's intel he would nod to her and press on. He moved more quickly to keep up with Zhi.
His arms suddenly split into four separate limbs and revealed four blades which extended from the middle of his palms. Two men rushed towards him as he rotated his arms to easily clash with them and stab into their torsos. Ten others then rushed towards him. Zhi made quick work of the men from before and it was up to him to finish them off. For once, he agreed with her rushed attitude because the sooner these goons were dealt with the better. Ten men remained and the marionette simply ejected ten powerful coiled cables from his open stomach cavity. With a B-Rank amount of raiton chakra applied he was able to impale them all and immediately electrocute them afterward. The smell of their burned bodies from severe electrocution would not be pleasant for Zhi but the human puppet did not seem to mind. Tetsuhiko's movements were precise yet distinctly artificial and puppet-like. This was all a part of his impressive solo puppet performance. Once all of the men were dealt with he bowed to Zhi as if the play had ended and expected her applause. His hand blades were then retracted and his arms combined as the wires returned to their storage location.

__ Zhi would come to a firm halt as the last enemy was felled by Tetsuhiko's grand performance. As he expected, she would offer him an applause, although it was brief and circumstantially somber. Returning her attention to the other VORTEX agents that were still huddled into a defensive position, "Tempest and Renaissance. We came to help as quickly as possible. What exactly happened here?" Out of the six in the other squad, only three were still in decent shape- one other was dead and the other two were pretty injured. They told Zhi and Tetsu about how they were sent to find and detain a fugitive; however, they were ambushed here by this band of rogue ninja. Without the reinforcements they wouldn't have lasted much longer. "Treat your injured, and return with your dead. If there is any trail left then I'll pick it up and finish your assignment to the best of my ability." Zhi's attention honed in on the small fishing village of Miyoshi nearby. There appeared to be some more unrest there, and she had a hunch that it wasn't unrelated. Other clues lingered in her vast sensory range, but this seemed like the closest and most viable option. "Ren, let's go investigate the nearby village for clues about this missing fugitive and if there is any connection to these rogue ninja here." Zhi would take a short time to collect and seal the heads of their felled enemies before performing the Body Removal Technique to clean up the scene a little. If Tetsuhiko also knew the technique and methods he could assist her in their Erasure and Disposal duties. __ Tetsuhiko appreciated Zhi's applause despite the dour circumstances. The group of six VORTEX agents then spoke and referred to them by their code names. They could certainly tell it was Renaissance based on his uniquely fantastical uniform. Tempest was doing well in her assumed position of leadership to keep things moving. She really was a go-getter and Tetsuhiko admired that as a performer.
So Zhi wanted to advance into the small nearby villages to find more clues. Tetsuhiko immediately helped her in cleaning up the bodies. Since she was trained in the Oinin branch of VORTEX specifically she was more skilled at it. Tetsuhiko personally found it revolting but it was paramount to keep the stage clean. "Right, there can't be much happening in isolation on this island." Tetsuhiko stated with a tone that was overly proud with an inflated sense of astuteness. He would now move onto the Miyoshi village with Zhi.
__ There was no particular rush after leaving Miyoshi. Her and Takumi had some time to rest before getting back on the road. "We should end up encountering a small group that seems to have been sent from their fortress. They're probably some kind of recon." Of course, that was to imply that she intended to make sure that they get back to any of their allies to let anyone know that the attack on Miyabi had failed or succeeded. This group actually might've just been looking for the last squad that Zhi and Tetsu slew to save their comrades. Who knew? Compared to Miyoshi, the preparations for this attack were effortless. Zhi pounced from the shadows and took down the first of seven foes with a kunai to the throat. She was small, but still packed a heck of a punch. Some of them had pretty good reflexes and immediately split up or broke away into defensive formations. Not that it mattered to her since she knew her partner would help ensure her safety and their utter defeat. Zhi tore the kunai from the man's throat and launched it into the center of another's chest, killing him too. Zhi summoned her katana as she jumped at a couple enemies who had separated more from the rest of their broken ranks. The sword appeared in a thin veil of smoke with the tip only inches away before diving into the heart of one. With both hands tensed on its grip she dragged it free from their body to guarantee a kill and deliver a swift followup strike. This last blow would cleave into the surprised foe's throat and right out the other side so that he would fall to the ground gargling on his blood. Zhi flicked the remaining blood from her blade, briefly cleaned it off then sealed it away again. "Haah... easy peasy." Zhi's victims would fall left and right. Her sensory abilities would be brought to use as time and space suddenly began to distort shortly before them. Masato would appear first, stepping from the distortion casually. His Mangekyo fixed on the blue haired girl. He lacked the sensory attributes of most ninja, but even he could sense a change. 'She's killed' Masato thought to himself. In all his time of knowing the girl, it was a thing she hadn't quite commited to. What changed? It wasn't strange for ninja to kill...but the small bundle of energy he had met years ago was definitely not quite the same one before them. Next his attention would turn to Tetsuhiko who seemed to be finishing off a group of foes himself. " Theres a party and I'm not invited. Pfft "
As he moved from the distortion, the blonde boy would emerge directly behind him...leading Zhi into the realization....Taylor was alive and well. Taylor was...home.

Taylor worked to revert the curse mark while they traversed. Evidently the power was warped by his emotions. He took a few deep breaths and the tattoos receded. It was then that he stepped outside of the kamui dimension. His eyes saw two more people, and he immediately became nervous. "Masato..." Taylor said as he turned to his friend. "These people are innocent. They do not deserve to get pulled into the ordeal of Kogarashi." He said earnestly. He truly had no memory of who Zhi or Tetsuhiko were. They were just faces to him. "You don't deserve to have your life ruined..." He came to the realization. Taylor was a trap. His presence was going to attract Kogarashi ninja to hunt him down, and village ninjas to detain him. He was going to be attacked on both sides. He suddenly became even more alarmed that there were two Uzu ninjas near by. "Don't follow me." He said as he disappeared. Chakra was molded into his sword as he learned how to turn himself invisible. It was done through the coating of himself with chakra. The chakra used not only shielded him from sight but also would negate sensory techniques from picking him up. Only the sharingan could pick him out. It was for this reason that Taylor also used a body flicker through the molding of chakra in his weapon. He had to dart and fast.
