Once Stacey had been seen by a medical professional, and after she was forced to stay once said professionals learned that Rhona was in much the same position that the other girl had been in, Rhona arrived home to an apartment to the sounds of her two in-home charges sleeping soundly. Had they even noticed that she had been gone all night? She was careful to make as little sound as possible on her way to her room -- though with the building as old as it was the creaks were unavoidable, and flopped down on her bed, brain still swirling about what had happened. In her hand she still clutched the necklace that Delta had left behind. What was it? What did it mean? Puzzles that were more fit for a more aware brain than hers. Darkness reached up with soft fingers and curled around her seconds later. She woke with her alarm at 11:00, shocked awake by the sound. Had she really been asleep that long already? It seemed like she had only just fallen into bed... but there was sunlight filtering through her window and birdsong outside, so the clocks couldn't be lying. So Rhona dragged herself out of bed and shrugged off her clothes from yesterday -- she hated falling asleep in street clothes -- and changed into something fresher. She was still dragging a brush through her hair when she made it to the kitchen. As quietly as she could so as not to wake the figures sleeping in the living room, creaks in the floors seeming louder now than ever before. In fact, everything did. The seal of the freezer releasing, the sounds of the frozen pastries she pulled from the back. The beeping of the oven as she turned it on. Hell, even the hissing of the kettle heating up sounded too loud. But it all needed to be done. Blueberry scone and cinnamon rolls might lessen the effects of what happened. Or at least aid relaxation... Rhona cast a glance them over at the to couches, counting heads still sleeping. One... just one... Jack must have gone out earlier... Rhona shot him a text to be home soon for tea and cakes. Leiko should have been waking up with the scent of coffee and hot cinnamon at any moment. (Since I got work today...I might as well start first?)
Xi-Wang
He knew he wasn't supposed to be out on his own at night, he knew it, but he'd been out last night on his own gathering energy. It had been, thankfully, a silent and peaceful night for him. The only oddity in his night being to odd call from Acubens wanting everyone to meet at her place at noon...some sort of rally or something, he couldn't remember her exact words.
He did know that it meant they should all be there though, and that most would in fact turn up. That was why he'd shown up, with food in hands, and a curious look in his dark eyes. He didn't know what this was all about but he assumed it was something big. That was why all the food, more than he could carry in one go, and you did not want to know how he'd gotten all the food up to Rhona's place...just...don't ask.
Knocking he called out, hoping she would hear him. "Rhona...a little help." Or a lot, definitely a lot. He'd managed to purchase a lot of food, dumplings and other things, and load it all into a cab. The cab had waited at the sidewalk as he'd off loaded everything and gotten each bag up to Rhona's door, where he stood now, before he'd paid the cab. How no one had heard him making all those trips was a mystery to the dark eyed teen, but he was glad for it in a way.
"I have food." Lots of food...enough, he hoped, for everyone. He was, as usual, being thoughtful of everyone who may turn up.
-----------
Alexandre Evans
He'd said he'd come, though he hadn't been sure at first if he actually would, but he'd decided he might as well. He had nothing to lose, and perhaps things to gain, it was one of those things he did as a General as far as he figured.
After telling Aiden he had some things to do, dealing with work, he'd managed to get out and had made his way to the building indicated and up to the door where he spied a rather interesting sight. A tall, slender, figure with several bags of Chinese food surrounding him on the floor and one bag in his hands.
Shaking his head he made his way over and nodded once to the taller figure. He didn't say anything, what was there to say at the moment? He did however scoop up a bag, prepared to help, as he waited for the door to open and allow them entry, and hopefully help in bringing everything in. If they didn't get help it was going to take several trips in and out to bring in all the bags of food. This kid was planning to feed an army - right?
------------
Boon-nam
It seemed the issue of his family, and explaining where he was, wouldn't be an issue he had to face...at least not for a while. As he'd found himself being brought along with his fellow dark mirror senshi. From mirror space into an apartment and then back to mirrorspace and then another apartment. It was all rather interesting, and he was curious about it all, but with little talking actually occurring. He knew why that was, at least he assumed anyway, that language was the reason but also he was certain the other was tired. He was even more sure when the other drifted off to sleep; which he too did.
Curled up in an arm chair Boon-nam had slept peacefully, though crunched up, it wasn't until others started to wake up and a door was opened that he woke. Glasses pressing into his face, leaving a mark, he stretched and yawning he moved and stood up slowly. Letting his legs stretch as he glanced about the place, he hadn't really looked around when he'd arrived with the other dark mirror senshi.
It was the smell of food which gained his attention and he went to peek out, around Kit, at all the food. "ชาวจีน?" ((Chāw cīn?)) He questioned sniffing a bit. It wasn't Thai food but it was somehow, in some way, familiar in bits. The foods had some similarities.

KitKit had slipped back to his own apartment for a change of clothes, but because he always appreciated being around more people whenever he got the chance, he intended to head out right after to rendezvous at the predetermined dwelling. Shortly after donning some of his more casual, homebody clothes, he mirrorwalked back to Rhona's place to crash until she was ready to start preparing for the rest of her guests at noon. He'd sat himself on the floor, resting his back against one of the couches, and dozed off for a few hours.
His internal clock wouldn't let him sleep too long, though, and soon he was awake again, eyes closed, thinking about the events that had transpired, the things he'd seen, and the people he'd met. He felt for the pendant still resting against his chest, venturing further into the oceans of his consciousness. It was only the groan of strain on floorboards and the squeak of door hinges that fished him back out.
At first, when he peered into the dark to see what was moving, he happened to witness a shape slink off one of the couches to head to disappear around a corner and down the hall. Thinking one of Rhona's charges was simply heading to the bathroom, Ptolemy closed his eyes again until more sounds alerted him of movement.
His lids flew open to see Rhona and a radiant smile illuminated the room. "Welcome back to the land of the living, sunshine," the tattooed young man greeted when he witnessed the apartment owner emerge from her room. "Anything I can help with?" He rose from his seat on the floor in order to assist the young woman in the kitchen.
Before he could make it to her, there was a knock at the front door, so he swiftly altered his course. "I've got it!" Waiting for him on the other side appeared to be a mountain of food rather than a person, though, and it wasn't until Xi-Wang's voice poked through requesting aid that Kit realized what he was looking at.
"Oh, s**t, Xi, what are you trying to do? Feed the entire court?" Laughing off his shock, the swarthy adolescent wasted no time in unburdening Xi-Wang getting as much of the food inside as fast as possible.
As he did so, he slowly uncovered a second, older figure from beneath the small hills of edibles, but with no less a familiar face. "Hey, hot stuff! Glad you could make it!" If memory served, that was Alexandre Evans, the man behind the identity of General Benitoite, but he only recalled meeting him once before.
Ptolemy glanced to the others still lounging about the living room. Strange...one of the couches remained empty. Had the previous occupant who had slipped off earlier just gone out and not yet chosen to return?. Odd he hadn't heard the front door open, though. Maybe a window had been used as an exit instead so as to avoid making more noise than necessary. Well, if Rhona wasn't concerned, it was probably nothing to worry about. At least Boon-nam was still there.
"Good morning," he greeted warmly. "Are you hungry? Looks like we've got plenty to eat for breakfast...or lunch...brunch?" Chuckling, he shrugged. "Whatever it is, it's a lot."----------- LeikoAs more voices made themselves audible, a head of dirty blonde, disheveled hair began to stir from a mound of blankets on one of the two couches. Leiko moaned and stretched, shifting beneath his shelter of sheets before finally, sleepily peering over the back of the headrest. "...What's going on?" he asked with a drowsy smile, yawning. "Mmm...something smells good. Who's it for?"
Despite his words, the young man didn't seem to have any intention of rising from his makeshift bed, let alone helping anyone with anything. At least not yet. His limbs were still stiff and he was much too drowsy to register much of what was going on other than the sudden presence of good-smelling food. But gradually he came to realize there were more and more people entering the apartment and he sat up properly, curious.
"Um...Rhona? Do you know all these people?" Leiko was willing to bet they were all powered beings, but he didn't know how to feel about all of them being here as civilians. Not one to worry about things for too long, however, he soon shrugged off his concerns and kicked off his blankets, rubbing his eye as he wandered over to the kitchen.
"Rhonaaaa," he whined, latching to the woman's arm. "What happened? Were you out all night again?" As they were only about an inch different in height and both in their twenties, he considered her something of a peer. At least disregarding the facts that she was an eternal senshi and he was a basic, or that she was a hard-working member of society and he was a freeloader. But carefree, easygoing spirit that Leiko was, he thought Rhona worked much too hard.
He began to try to tug her back toward the couches. "Don't do thaaat," he whined, gesturing at the pastries she had out. "They have enough food and you're all bandaged and bruised. Come sit with me over there."------------ JackThe redheaded teen had woken the instant he'd heard Rhona enter the house after coming from the hospital, but he had been careful to remain as still as though he were still asleep. Naturally, he was curious, but it wasn't until several minutes after the woman had entered her room that Jack allowed himself to get up. Once he did so, he had, as Rhona had, attempted to creep as quietly as he could manage toward the door she had disappeared through.
He wasn't worried about waking Leiko even though he slept in the couch just adjacent to his own because the blonde was a heavy sleeper. It was the curly-haired lady he feared catching him up. As he had suspected from her beeline to her bed, however, Rhona must have been exhausted. Though she usually woke pretty easily, none of the noise he made caused her to wake up. Jack watched her for a few minutes, taking note of the injuries she appeared to have sustained and fairly certain she hadn't had them when she had gone out before. His brows narrowed, but eventually he just sighed and turned away. It's none of my business.
Though the teen headed back to his sofa to curl up again, it wasn't long before someone came through a mirror, and then another. At first he was on guard, but then he recognized one of the figures as Ptolemy and pretended to be asleep again, trying to discern what was happening. Soon it became clear that the other Dark Mirror Senshi had simply come to stay for a time, taking up places to rest, and Jack remained still until he thought they were all asleep like Rhona. Perhaps whatever trial she had faced, they had shared in.
Once all of their breathing seemed deep, slow, and even, he crept from his bedding once more and slipped as silently as he could manage down the hall. First he went to relieve himself in the bathroom, then went for the door across the hall into the long, narrow room with Rhona's plants. There he practiced his Krav Maga as best he could while staying quiet.
It wasn't until the knock at the door was answered that Jack realized the guests who had mirrorwalked into the apartment hours earlier were not the only ones Rhona had been expecting. More guests rapidly began to enter the place and Jack concluded it was probably best for him to remain where he was while they were visiting. None of them really had much to do with him, anyway, nor he with them, and that's how he wanted to keep it.

The knocking caused Rhona to jump slightly, the sudden sound being the first thing to break the peace of the morning -- er... afternoon. Following soon after the sound was a delicate plea for help, which in turn caused Rhona to drop everything and rush towards the door. It was just that Kit was faster than she was in that respect. So with him answering the door and helping Xi-Wang with all of the food he brought (honestly, it was too much, the dear), Rhona turned back to her preparations. Now that people were filing in, she started the coffee and the tea kettle, working peacefully after that until Leiko woke up. The man didn't really do anything quietly, which Rhona didn't really mind, but of all of the things that should happen soundlessly, waking was not one of them for him. "I know them all powered, my dear. And I'm about to know them as civilians too. If you don't want them to know your powered identity, then don't share it." She cast a light smile over at him and arranged the cinnamon rolls in a circle in a pie dish. And then came the whining. Rhona sighed through a bemused grin. "I am changing my name, and I'm not telling you what it is, Leiko," She chided lightly, albeit through a smile. "And just think about it, if I make these now, and people don't eat them, then there's more for you and Jack later." Plus they were already almost prepped. Putting the various pastries in the oven was less work now than putting them all back into the bags and refreezing them. And so, even with Leiko pulling on her arm, Rhona slid the trays into the oven. She turned, triumphantly, and planted a kiss on Leiko's temple before ruffling his hair affectionately. Leiko saw them as peers, and so did she. However, it was difficult for her to deny the strength of her maternal gene, and it manifested in her affections. "Thanks for letting everyone in, Kit," she called, wiping her hands on a tea towel that she kept hooked on the oven handle. As soon as her hands were clean, she scooped Xi up in a bear hug, holding him as tightly as she could within hurting him. "Gosh I always miss you so much, kiddo," she muttered against his hair before she finally released him. It was Boon-Nam who now needed her attentions. He didn't seem to speak much for any English, and he was probably terribly confused. She pulled her smart phone from her back pocket, fiddled around with it as she walked over to him, and finally help the mouth piece to her lips as she knelt to meet his eye level. "I'm Rhona Lee, and this is my home. Welcome!" She held the phone out to Boon-Nam and a moment later it translated what she had said into Thai -- she hoped well enough for him to understand. She pivoted then, resting on one knee while the other leg remained crooked under her. She extended her hand out to the blonde who had arrived with Xi and said, "Hey, I'm Rhona Lee. I think you might know me as Acubens? I'm terribly sorry, but you'll have to remind me of who you are over coffee. Last night was terribly... terrible. I can't remember."

Tom WolfTom hesitated at the door. He really, really didn't want to go in here, even if there was a possibility that Alex was in here also. He didn't mind that his girlfriend was in with the Dark Mirror, really, it's just that... since the two factions weren't really on the same side anymore, other than both being chaotic and against the White Moon, he didn't feel as though Stacey's issues with the Dark Mirror should have impacted his in the Negaverse. Not that they did but... that obelisk that they had been in, and seeing Mithra that hurt in the hospital...
He knew something had happened before that landed her there. He didn't know what it was at first, but when she was able and knew about him, they had been able to talk about it.
Tom realized that he should at least try to keep in touch with those that she considered friends within the Negaverse. He felt guilty that she seemed to be getting hurt much worse than he had staying with the Negaverse, and sometimes wondered if it was his fault. He knew it wasn't but, he couldn't help it. He felt protective of her.
He had overheard the others talking about going to that one senshi's place, the one who seemed to have the death-grip on Mithra once they had finally gotten out of the obelisk and whom Tom wanted to slap away so he could take his girlfriend to the hospital, about meeting up, and Benitoite seemed to be planning to visit.
He felt... very unwelcome here. Mostly because he knew he wasn't invited and this would be his first time actually "crashing" a party, but he felt as though he needed to talk to them somehow.
He readied himself, taking in quite a bit of air before letting it out, and knocking on the door. It opened, and he realized that he only knew Alex here. But he could tell that he had seen some of the others at the obelisk... at least he was pretty sure. He immediately felt a bit of pressure as he entered the room, wondering if he shouldn't just bolt out and go and stay with Stacey in the hospital for a bit rather than be here.

Xi-Wang
Glancing at the other person at the door, the one who was next to Kit, he gave a rather curious and confused look. "Thai?" He wasn't familiar with it beyond he knew what it sounded like. Though he could be wrong, it could be another similar language. He knew however it wasn't Chinese or Japanese and it didn't sound Korean either...so he was sort of guessing at it. "A new person?" His dark eyes seeking out Kit's own as he questioned this. Moving out of the way of the petite blond, who Kit called hot stuff, and he smiled bright at the slightly taller male.
"Mmm, I didn't know how many would show up...and I thought - I thought I'd bring food for everyone...plus left overs?" He ventured to explain. Really he hadn't been thinking of left overs but it was an idea, one which had just come to him really. Glad for the help in bringing the food in he brought the rest in as the bags hung from his arms before being deposited on the nearest table - the coffee table.
Yelping, and then giggling, as he was grabbed up by Rhona and hugged he reached out to ruffle at her hair. "You miss all of us when we're not with you." He answered lightly, a smile gracing his features. "I brought food...I hope everyone is hungry." Because he had bought a lot. "Ummm...some it spicy - I had those things marked so people can avoid them." Xi-Wang spoke softly, looking over to Kit. "I don't know about everyone...but I know you don't mind heat." And he himself could actually handle hot food. Looking back to Rhona he smiled a bit more. "But some is really hot." So to be safe he'd asked those containers to be marked as such - save someone from eating the wrong thing.
Watching as Rhona departed from in front of him he wasn't surprised to see her head over to the unknown person. "He speaks Thai..." Not knowing if Rhona knew that or not. Sadly he didn't think anyone in their court spoke Thai...and from what he was watching Rhona do it seemed he spoke almost nothing but Thai....
-----------
Alexandre Evans
Raising a brow at the one who opened the door, and called him hot stuff, the petite blond replied with a light shrugging of his shoulders. "Not much. I thought it a good idea to come and see how your court was doing after last night." Plus he had been able to successfully get out of the house in order to attend this gathering. "I also did promise your eternal a trip for cheesecake. I figure I'll arrange a time with her so I can make good on the offer." Slipping passed the taller male he stepped around the other Asian, who had glasses on, and slipped into the apartment.
"Is there anything I can help with?" He questioned, wondering if anyone would even respond. He was, for the moment, willing to help out with anything. This was after all a group he didn't personally have issues with, and he'd like to keep it that way.
Watching as the curly haired female made an appearance he watched her greet the one he'd slipped right around in the door way, he watched how she greeted and spoke to her other children.
When she finally got to him he offered out a hand. "Alexandre Evans...though you'd know me as Benitoite. Speaking of coffee I do believe I offered you tea, or coffee, and cheesecake. We should arrange for that at some point - whenever you'd like. It's on me." Tired as he was, and he was tired, he hadn't forgotten his offer the night before and he also hadn't forgotten his manners. He was very much polite as he shook the others hand.
When a familiar figure made their entrance, and Alexandre did notice it, he was motioning for Rhona to give him a moment. While she was protective over her children so too was he. The blond made his way right over to Tom and reached out to lay a hand on his shoulder. "Everything alright? The female...she's ok?" Not knowing her name, though knowing Tom was close to her. "And you as well? You're alright after last night?" Pale eyes looking the other over, as if he could spot anything clothing might potentially be hiding.
------------
Boon-nam
Grabbing one of the bags of food, it really smelled good, Boon-nam hurried inside and went to set it in the living room on the table. It seemed that was the best option, he didn't want to go wandering around someone elses home after all. That done he sort of stood, awkwardly, watching and listening to everyone as he only knew some of what was going on and being said. he knew more than he typically did, most of it all being simple conversation at the moment.
Watching as people moved around and spoke he was surprised when the female, with such curly hair, approached him with her phone out. Watching her fiddle with it, he didn't know what she was doing but was curious, he soon had an answer. She was translating to him and greeting him.
It wasn't the best but it was close enough, he understood it, greeting her as he had done Kit the night before, pressing his hands together as if praying he bowed a bit. Greeting her in Thai, verbally, he reached out for her phone then and went to fiddle about so he could give his own message.
Having it translate from Thai to English. "Boon-nam but you can call me New. Thank you for having me over, it is appreciated. My English is little...I am working on this." Offering her the phone back, even as she was now talking to someone else, he waited to see what she would respond with...and waited for her facial reaction to his message - he hoped it translated right.

Tom WolfTom briefly thought about going straight back through the door he had come in, but Alex managed to come over to him just in time and asked him about Stacey. Tom sighed. "Yeah, Stacey's okay. It would take a lot more than that for her to actually be in trouble. I think you'd have to remove all of her limbs and half of her senses before she would actually think that she might be in trouble." He felt like he had wanted to yell at her, but he hadn't, especially when he saw her in that hospital bed. She had given him a look that said, "I couldn't punch that stupid program as much as I wanted." And Tom knew she would be okay. Thought it still made him nervous with her there.
But she had practically told him with her eyes that she was fine and that he should focus on what he needed to at this point, which was finals once again. He had told her that he would stay with her longer, but she had glared at him, which finally made him realize that she would be fine and she would have much preferred he get on with his life without waiting for her to recover, instead of worrying himself over nothing and failing his classes.
He nodded to Alex. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just, I really don't like being taken hostage like that, and we certainly didn't learn as much as I would have wanted to. I mean, it's not that I liked it, but I would certainly like to know if there might be other events such as that that could happen. I'm only a bit hurt, but minor compared to what Stacey got." He replied, giving the other a reassuring smile. "I heard about you coming here and I thought I might as well join since these are uh... Stacey's friends." He wasn't really sure what the relationship was between them, but he did know that she liked being in with the Dark Mirror a lot.

KitUnable to cast Rhona a salute with his hands full, Kit smiled and nodded her way in response to her thanks. "My pleasure," he assured her, amused at the enthusiasm with which she embraced Xi-Wang. Her attempts to get through to the Taiwanese court member might not have surprised him, but, as usual, he was impressed. She put so much effort into making everyone feel at home and together as a family, neither allowing herself to be intimidated or deterred by obstacles as tricky as language barriers.
When she had finally released her captive, Kit had finally finished putting all the food in the kitchen and came to offer his own greetings to the other tall, lanky young man. "Generous as always," he commented, scooping Xi-Wang up in a tight hug of his own. "And thoughtful. Thanks for marking the stuff. We'll have to be careful we don't mix them up once we set them out."
He kept his arms loosely wreathed around the food-bringer as they watched Rhona attempt to communicate with their English-impaired guest. "Pretty neat, huh? I wonder how he got awakened as a senshi and how long he's been in Destiny City. It's rough not knowing how to communicate with the people in the place you live in, but it must be a thousand times more frustrating when you throw becoming powered into the mix."
Alex seemed to address him in response to his earlier acknowledgment and Kit turned his grin toward his acquaintance. "Nice of you to drop by. There aren't many who see a reason to look into the well-being of those from other factions. What about your group, though? They all doing alright?" But Alex must have had other plans, for he slipped past so suddenly that Kit wasn't sure he had heard the question asked of him. Not that he minded. It made sense that higher-ranking powered beings like eternals and generals always had their hands full. The last thing he wanted was to be in their way.
Hmm...interesting, he noted, realizing that this must have been the first time Acubens and Benitoite were meeting as civilians. He hadn't been sure if they might have previously, especially because he had been under the impression that Remarque was good friends with the Negaverse General and therefore must have met with him as a civilian at least once before. Kit supposed that didn't guarantee that Acubens had, though, even if she also seemed to have strong ties to the prince.
"He must have really been serious about that cheesecake," Kit murmured to Xi-Wang as he rested his head atop the other's while he watched the exchange, amused. "Being really formal about it and all."
Oh...but who was that now coming through the front door? An associate of Alex's? Was he a Negaverse officer too, then?
As they were still standing near the door, Kit happened to overhear much of what the newest visitor had said and raised a hand. "You could be our friend too, y'know," he told the young man, beaming. "We all fought the same opponents together, after all. But I wonder if this is the last we'll be seeing of them."----------- Leiko"It's not that," Leiko assured Rhona when she advised him not to share his powered identity if he didn't wish anyone to know it. "It's my civilian identity I didn't want them knowing about." He wondered if he could still sneak out a back window and perhaps come back through the front door as Kissling.
Still, it seemed a bit late for that and he wasn't worried about it enough to bother trying anyway. For all the others knew, he probably could have arrived with the other senshi who had mirrorwalked into the apartment hours earlier. Furthermore, Rhona's smile was calming and whatever few misgivings he might have had melted away like butter with her warmth. Even if the others didn't approve of him or his ways, at least Rhona wouldn't have minded, and that was all he needed.
"Aww, don't be cruel," he pleaded when she playfully threatened to change her name. But the point that there would be more food for them later if no one else ate them promptly ceased his whining. Leiko absolutely adored the baked goods made by their host. It would have been a terrible shame if the partially-prepared pastries went to waste.
"Okay..." he sighed, reddening a bit when his temple was kissed and his hair ruffled. He still wasn't used to others showing him such casual displays of affection, but he wasn't about to complain, attention-seeker that he was. There was also fact that Rhona's behavior reminded him of a mother's with a child. Of course, she was very motherly in many of her mannerisms, but she didn't seem to treat him the same way she treated Ptolemaeus, who he was fairly certain was at least a year younger than himself.
However, the blonde also knew that the difference in treatment was probably at least partially due to the fact that Leiko acted very childish. Due to that, he might not have had a whole lot of hers or anyone else's respect, but he didn't feel like he needed or wanted it. He was happy as things were and still thanking his lucky stars that someone as kind and charitable as Rhona had offered to take him in in the first place. Before he'd met her, people seeing him on the streets would rarely spare him a second glance, let alone touch him or give him a kiss. He couldn't think of much he wouldn't have done if it was to make Rhona happy.
That was why, even when she turned away to go greet the newcomers, he restrained himself from trailing after her. He knew she was busy, as she usually was with something or other when it came to their court, and he didn't blame her for it or get jealous. But made him feel slightly more alone to be around so many people and ignored than if he had been by himself. It reminded him when he had walked the streets alone, invisible to everyone who denied his existence because it made them feel uncomfortable. He felt like an outsider and he couldn't stand dwelling on negative emotions.
Determined not to dwell in self-pity, Leiko strolled over to the kitchen, opened a container of steaming dumplings, speared one with a fork, and came over to hold it up to Boon-nam's mouth.
"Say 'ahhh'!" Even if the guy didn't understand English, Leiko figured he could probably at least understand the obvious offer of food.------------ JackAlthough he had resigned himself to the narrow room with Rhona's plants, the smells of delicious edibles wafted to him from under the door. Their scents involuntarily evoked imagined images of their sources and Jack found his mouth watering. Could he maybe sneak into the kitchen for a bite while everyone else was occupied? He might not have had his henshin pen, but he liked to have thought he hadn't been awoken as the Senshi of Slyness for no reason.
The sound of conversation was at his greatest when he chose to open the door, hoping the noise of their chatter would drown out any squeaking the door hinges might have ended up making. Unfortunately, the front door still had many people crowded around it. This was bad because said door and people all lay in the path from the room he was coming from to the food in the kitchen.
There are so many of them, though, Jack told himself. And they're all busy talking to each other. Who's gonna notice one more person in the room?
Well, Rhona might have, but she seemed to be in the midst of all that was going on and therefore occupied. So many people were demanding her attention that he was sure she would have none left to spend on him. With this reasoning, Jack began to head toward his destination as quietly and inconspicuously as he could manage. All he had to do was go in, grab a plate of food, and go back to the long room where he could eat and try to eavesdrop in peace.

When Alexandre gave Rhona his powered name, however, her face fell. There was a heartbeat of time between his name -- a mineral -- registering in her mind and her body reacting where it felt like the world had stopped. Her stomach plummeted through her body and crashed onto the floor where it shattered. She felt cold, was anyone else cold? Was it actually cold, or was it just the icy claws on the back of her neck and the shade of giant black wings that was chilling her. A heartbeat of time. That was all it took for Rhona's panic to take over. And a heartbeat more to push it away. She cleared her throat and took her hand back, drawing it close to her chest as though to protect it. Why? Leto trusted this man. Remarque did too. But then again, they hadn't been... weren't currently... haunted by a monster from the Negaverse. And now especially with what had happened with Faustite... "Well," she breathed, refusing to look at Alex and his guest, "welcome. Please, help yourself to the food." Scurrying to find something -- anything else to focus on, Rhona turned her attention to Boon-Nam. She grinned, taking the phone back form Boon-Nam. Oh gosh, she was so glad this was working. She turned the speaker to her lips and said, "Well, your English is better than my Thai. Welcome to my home, New. You are welcome whenever you would like." Granted, it wasn't a perfect translation, but it would do until Rhona could get her hands on a software to help her learn the language. She knew of a few free sites, but she wasn't at all opposed to buying something either. Anything to make someone feel more welcome. And here came Leiko, his usual self, crash landing through the ice as was his way. She handed the phone back to Boon-Nam -- to New and gestured between them, inviting them to get to know one another. She reached over and squeezed Leiko's arm before leaving, muttering into his ear, "thank you for taking over for me." She busied herself, at that moment, setting out plates and cutlery for the food that Xi Wang had brought and pulling her own confectionary from the oven. With all of the hustle and bustle, she nearly missed the little fox skulking around the kitchen. "I wish you would stay a while," Rhona said softly, hoping it was enough for Jack to hear. That he hated her... that he seemed to want nothing to do with her, was slowly breaking her apart. Rhona wanted nothing more than to soothe Jack, but how did she suture the wounds he had been dealt? Especially when he wouldn't let her see them. Did he blame her for sending him away? What else could she truly have done? She sniffed sharply and quietly dried her eyes, casting him a small smile, hoping that would convince him to stay. Everyone who hasn't posted yet feel free to either post an arrival, post your character waking up, or assume they were sitting quietly in a corner and are just now piping up heart
