Quote: The line for Santa is miles long and doesn’t seem to be moving. At the front, it appears there isn’t enough help to keep everything running smoothly. Suddenly you are tapped on the shoulder and turn around to find a woman dressed as an elf looking at you with panic in her eyes. “There you are! Where have you been? Why aren’t you dressed? Hurry up! We need more hands up there!” It appears she has mistaken you for one of the missing elves. Do you go along with it? Set her straight?

Cass had been waiting in line for over an hour. She normally would have just walk out of line and try coming back another time. But today was the last day to see Santa. She should have came back another day but she had been busy those other days and today was the only day she was able to come to the mall.
This was a tradion for her. Every year she would take a picture with Santa and give the picture to her grandma. She would get keychain verisons of the picture so that her grandma could have them on a keychain. She had been doing this since she was little. She looked around the line she was in.
The line was long it wraped around the whole center of the mall, and it seemed to show no sign of getting shorter. And she was the only person in it who did not have a child with them. The lady behind her tapped her. "Sinice you do not have a child could I skip you?" Cass just blinked at the woman.
Was the woman for real? Even if Cass had let her skip she would have to still stand behind the other mothers before her in line. Cass didnt have time for this but as she looked at not only the mother but her daughter. And letted the mother take her spot.
As soon as she did that the mother behind her tapped her and asked for the same thing. Cass closed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Sorry no." The mother didn't seem to want to take no for an answer. "But you letted her skip you. Why not me?" Cass didn't know what to say or do she just wanted the line to hurry up and move faster so that she could get this over with go about her busincess. See looked over at the set and saw that there was not a lot of workers there.
Cass sighed for what had to be the umpteenth time. She was waiting for a chubby old mythical man dressed in red. The set was nothing but pure white it was kinda blinding. She reallwanted to leave the winter like nightmare and just go home. She closed her eyes and kept telling herself that it was for her beloved grandma.
The lady behind her tapped her again. She was getting tired of this. She was about to turn around and ask the lady to leave her alone. She was going to tell the lady that she was in the same pediciment as she was when she noticed one of the workers coming toward her. 'There you are why are you here waiting in line? We have been backed up all day long and here you are playing around. Now come on and get to work. Where is your outfit?"
Cass was suprissed. She didn't know what the girl in the elf outfit was talking about. She was about to say something to her but then decided that this could be her chance to get ahead of everyone in the line. ' Yes, I am sorry. I forgot my outfit though."
The girl shooked her head. "It's ok your not the only one. Just put on one of the reindeers hats we have and get to work."
Casse made her way up to the front wit hthe girl. She was so closed to
Santa. The guy dressed as Santa got up and streshed his feet.
"You can bring in the next child." He sat back down and smiled at the child that came in to see hime. 'hey why you waiting like there like that for get that child on santa's lap so we can get this over with." The girl behind the camera had said to her. Cass started to do just that. Before she knew it, it was closing time.
Santa said bye to the last kid and got up ready to back to the break home and leave for the day. Cass saw her opporutniy. "Wait can I take a pic with you before you go." Santa smiled at her. "Sure not problem."
Cass couldn't belive it she got her picture with santa. The girl behind the camera printed her pictures and gave them to her. "Remember that as employees we het them for free."
Cass couldn't belive her luck. She took the pictures and putted them in the bag.
"Hey sorry I am late I got caught up in traffic." Cass tourned to see a girl making her way toward the set. Cass took that as her cue to leave. Cass slowly walked backward and made her way to one of the exits and rain outside.
She didn't even looked behind her as she made her way to her car.
