November 2017 Wishing Star
There’s a strange, bright star over the Kawani lands. It’s a rare sight, and legend has it that the star can grant a few select individuals a special request. Head up to the top of the hill, place a small offering on the altar, and make your wish. Is it a wish for love, a child, a friend or even someone long lost? Think carefully about your wish, however, as you only get to make one!

You may enter for, at most: 1 Soquili Slot (anything but Loyal Companion) and 1 Familiar Slot (Loyal Companion) if you have not hit your monthly cap. ValkNote: There are no familiar slots being offered this time around so you can only enter for one of the Soquili slots!!
Restrictions
Non-charmed skinwalkers cannot participate. Charmed skinwalker entries will not result in skinwalker soquili granted from the wishing star.
You may use another person's pet or couple so long as you have their permission. (This does not apply in the True Friend and Loyal Companion category.) This permission can be in the form of a lifemate agreement between their pet and yours, or a post in the Reference and Mockbreeding Permissions thread.
You may use pets that are deceased IC.
Reminders
Please check to make sure you have been added to the list correctly. We will do our best to keep the list accurate and updated frequently, but mistakes do happen, especially when there's a high number of entrants. With this rule, we will no longer be rolling an additional slot for missed people (exceptions may be made depending on the circumstance, but they are just that: exceptions, and not the rule).
Wishing Stars aren't breedings OOC, and colorists have more free reign with them. Additional breeds and traits may be added that the parents do not possess. Otherwise, all edit levels, breeds, and mutant traits can pass, unless otherwise stated.
Prizes in Wishing Stars are considered semi-customs; thus, colorists are free to stream them at any time. If you're getting baskets and want to be surprised, please keep that in mind!
All children granted will be considered a special gift from the Star and labeled as a 1st Gen Mockbreeding Child of the couple. However, you may still throwback to their mock parents' bloodline when entering them in normal breeding slots, even if it's impossible for them to be related by blood (e.g. the seathi Quiyahuatl can throwback to his usdia mother and his angeni father).
IC interpretation is flexible. This means if a female usdia x male usdia win an usdia basket, they can say IC that it was born normally, rather than the result of a star. This also means rogue entries can claim they mated with a random character of the opposite sex, that it was a spirit child between them and another, or that it was a spirit child of them alone. However, it should not go against shop canon; if the female usidia x male usidia received a mer child and they see it as their genetic offspring, it must have come from the star or other spirits rather than being a biological birth. In addition, users are still free to use throwback references, regardless of whether the resulting child is considered canonically related or not.
Editing
If you want to edit the list of usernames in the "Star-Spoken" and "Spirit's Blessing" category, or add or take away the RP/LM modifier, you must void your original entry and repost. You must void and repost if you change categories as well (for instance, pulling a "Star-Spoken" entry to enter a "Long Lost Family Member" instead). When you repost, state that you're voiding the previous entry; otherwise, you may be listed twice and disqualified.
Any other aspects of the form may be freely edited at any time, without reposting.
However, if you post an incomplete form, they will not be added to the list, and we will not be going back to check. You must repost to have your form counted.
Newbies
If you have no pet in the shop, have no fear! You can receive permission to reference other people's pets in the "Star-Spoken," "Spirit's Blessing," and "Long Lost Family Member" categories. Alternatively, you may make up a human character in the Kawani setting and use that character to enter the "True Friend" and "Loyal Companion" categories.
Final Notes
The procedure for this event will be: edited rolls and CCs > 24-hour window after the last edited roll for last-minute edited CCs > unedited rolls and CCs.

Anahi looked up at the sky, seeing a star shining more brightly than usual, a phenomena he had only heard whispers of. Whispers that said such a star was capable of granting wishes. He was skeptical, but the thought of having his wish granted... It couldn't hurt to try, right?
He didn't live near an area where the altar to the star was located, but if the star was really powerful, he wouldn't need to travel there. He could lay his offering to the star in a special area near the cave system he called his home. But what did he have that was worth what he was wishing for? He had nothing that could even come close to being equal to the gift of a child.
The only things he had that he treasured were the little stars he wore in his mane and a stone he found that seemed to hold fire within. It really wasn't a lot, but it was all he had. And they were important to him. Hopefully the star would find the offering worthyShort IC Response: Tell me a little about your couple. What does you soquili ask/tell the wishing star when he or she comes to ask for a basket? He was a solitary stallion, and he was... awkward when it came to dealing with members of the opposite sex. But like everyone, he wanted a relationship. He wanted a family. And while so far he had been unable to find that special someone to share his life with, that didn't mean he couldn't be a father, right?
So when the star shone brightly in the sky, he decided for once to take a chance. He took a few of his pretty glowy stars, and his special rock and went to a clearing by his cave home. He placed his meager offerings on the ground arranging them to look nice and looked to the heavens.
'I know it's not much, and there are others out there who are probably giving more... but this is all I have to give star. So please, look upon my offering for what it is, and grant me the wish of my heart. I long for a little one of my own. '

Short IC Response: Ever since i escaped from that awful sea monster and left everything behind, i've travelled the ocean alone, i've recently learned of developments happening in my old home and i would love to find my brother, we were close as young foals but drifted apart even in the village back home, i really just want to make sure he is okay.

It is difficult for him to part with, but he leaves behind some especially shiny trinkets from his satchel, and a single feather from his wing. Short IC Response: "I am a fine purveyor of treasures, my collection grows by the day with my little helpers and my dear Feri-prize. But the more that I collect, the more one certain treasure is obvious in the fact it is missing from my sight. My dear sister did not like to be considered one of my treasures, so I let her wander with whatever freedom she desired. I have, however, not seen a single feather from her in some time. I would like to collect her back again, wherever she has wandered."

She leaves a selection of rare herbs from her medicine pouch and a gold band. Short IC Response: Helki looks up into the night sky and swallows back a knot in her throat. In a soft voice she says, "Oh wishing star, all I have ever known is the herd that adopted me. I am happy with this, however, I would love dearly to at least meet someone who I am related to. Please grant my one wish tonight."

I can and will work to restore the honor to our family. After all I am an Omen of much good fortune. What else would I do?" 10 Things I Like: 1. Paws or claws 2. Glowy things (eyes, horns, hooves, orbs, etc.) 3. Messy, windblown, ruffled, flowing hairstyles 4. Weapons, armor, and/or lanterns 5. Mystical, ethereal touches (i.e. wisps of mist/smoke/frost, internal glow, etc.) 6. Complementary colors 7. Spooky/creepy things 8. Fluff 9. Space/galaxy/starry themes 10. Izanami leaves these things in challenge to the star, bidding her friend return to her from their quest.

An agate from the small collection he has from his home as a foal on the coast. Short IC Response: With a sigh, he looks into the night sky. "I would wish to have my mother back. I left home long ago, and have not seen her since, and I often think of her in hard times. She was a light in an all too dim world, and I'd like to see her once more."

I was found by a great family who raised me with acceptance and understanding, but also a desire to protect those who can not protect themselves. When I was grown enough, I set out to find any of my birth family, anyone else like me. I know they're out there somewhere, but I've been wandering for a long time and I would like to have a friend to travel with, who would help me look and keep me company. He hesitantly approaches the hill which the star seems centered over, the light from it gilding his feathers as he fidgets. Then he pulls out a small metal sculpture. "I . . . when I get lonely I . . . " He signs and shakes his head, almost turning back. Then he steels himself and pushes on. "When I'm lonely I . . . make myself friends. Not . . . not that they're really friends, just . . . something to spend time doing. I like working with my talons and making bits I find into something new and interesting. I thought . . . well, this is my best one, my favorite. So . . . if I'm going to offer something for such a big blessing . . . I figure it should be something that I treasure." He placed the small sparrow sculpture on the ground, right under the light of the wishing star.
