Not farm from the Strangling Cloud Forest, natural dispersion and unchecked growth has led for a highly invasive species of tree similar to Baobab has become a sprawling forest. It's wood is strong, and it's bark is highly fire resistant. They tend to live for extremely long periods of time, and as such most of these trees are not quite as big as they could get. This makes them prime for harvesting and impressively good wood for boats and carts alike. Deforestation crews have come through, but they haven't made much of a dent. Perhaps someone with shinobi training could do more?
Now that logging facilities have been setup, each lumberyard produces refined lumber for use in the village and ship building. Each yard produces one [1] tonne of lumber per week.

As the group entered the forest, Hachiro's senses out him on edge. Something about the trees here seemed... eerily alive. The thick vegetation seemed to block every path they tried to take. Hachiro drew his blade out, slashing at the thick roots and tangled branches. Finally the group would reach the clearing that they had specified that they would desire to set their camp at. Hachiro was relieved. This clearing seemed much more peaceful than the rest of the forest.

Hachiro arrived, placing his supply bag on the base of a tree that had been cut down previously. He looked to his lumber jack companions to see what they had planned next. They were pulling somewhat primative logging tools out of thier kits. Hachiro frowned. He felt as though their tools would be insufficient.
Hachiro moved to an open clearing and would draw his sword. It was time that he too assisted in the cutting of logs. He was resolved to finish this task as quickly as possible. A little training might go hand in hand with this mission.

Hachiro's blade cleanly severed several dozen trees from their stumps. His katana effortlessly seperated each tree. His swift and persist actions impressed the loggers. Hachiro would pause to work with them on their tools. It would seem that they came Ill prepared for their task with full tools. Hachiro would teach them the sharpening method used by the blacksmiths in getsugakure to hone the edges of their saws and axes.

It wouldn't take long for the logger's carts, wagons and loading equipment to become full. The loading process took several hours. For this reason, Hachiro had gotten up before the sun after surrendering to a late night the day before. Hachiro wiped sweat from his brow as the group completed the loading of all the logs involved. It had taken the group nearly three days to complete the mission. Hachiro was relieved he would be able to return to the village with the haul of wood in tow. Finally, the troupe of lumberjacks headed back towards the village hidden in the clouds. .

Surrendering to the heat of mid-day, Hachiro pulled his hair back into a ponytail to keep the sweat accumulation fro spreading down the back of his neck. The only comfort in the movement of the hot day was the limited shade the trees offered as they moved outside of the forest into the open areas surrounding it. It was roughly a four hour walk back to the village. At this point, Hachiro had built such a tremendous bond with the loggers it was as though they had become a second family.
