Standing at the door of a large casino, is a person. They are leaning languidly on a pillar next to the door and posing. Like...really awkward posing. Every now and then they look at you and tilt their head toward the entrance.
"See something you like? Why don't you head on in? I heard we have several pleasurable things inside."
As you run past him and into the dungeon, you hear someone fake gagging. Voices rise up from behind you.
"Don't look at me like that Kensing! It's what she told me to say!"
"Why did you listen to her Arure! You can't flirt your way out of a paper bag. I'm pretty sure a rock could get more dates than you!"
"I thought I could do it! Last time I listen to her!"
"I can't believe you thought this was a good idea. You should know by now to never listen to your sister."
Once you pass through the main door, a grand casino lays in front of you. There are rows and rows of slot machines and aisles of poker tables. The lighting is low and warm, the atmosphere calm. There are no windows or clocks, and thankfully no smell of smoke. Rolling carts move by themselves, weaving in and out of aisles. You don't see anyone in the rows of slot machines, but you really aren't trying. Above you, below you, around you, music plays. The songs have no reason or rhyme regarding genre, but there hasn't been a song you don't like. As you move in, you notice a giant pillar in the center of the room. Except it's not a pillar. As you get closer, the image morphs and the world around you changes. The pillar becomes a huge, giant, solid gold money bag. The tables are marked with nicks and scratches. The music is suddenly loud and jarring. There are people around now. Some are holding weapons, others holding nothing. They are spread out around the casino floor.
"It looks like another one has graced us with their presence! Hello, Dungeon Crawler! Welcome To The Royale~!"
Sitting cross legged on top of the giant money bag, is a woman. She's dressed in very little clothing, but seems to care little of how exposed she is. Her ensemble is mostly gold, looking gaudy against the already - god that is a terrible looking structure - why would you have that in here. She flips a coin in the air and it comes down in the form of a gem.
"Hello, hello, hello. You're new."
She eyes you with a grin.
"Welcome to the Royale. My name is Orora. It's good to see a new face around here. Feel free to look around, talk to the staff. When you're ready, head to the elevator. Since you're new, we'll start you on level one. Don't disappoint me please."
The gem gets flipped into the air, and comes back down a key. Weaving her fingers in the air, a gold chain forms and winds itself into the hold on top of the key. A bone tail lashes out from behind her, picking up the key. In a quick snap, the key comes soaring your way.
High above any table, high above the dungeon master, is a woman glaring down at everything. Her hands are settled on her ears, her head bobbing. Behind her is a row of what looks like to be door signs, but it's hard to make out. After a moment, she throws one hand up and raises it high into the air, and suddenly a loud sound roars out into the casino lobby. As you try to get closer, a record slams into the ground next to you. A small label reads "Property of Kentrana". As you look up, she uses the hand that isn't raised toward the sky to point at a door sized card, that parts open. An elevator.
Standing just outside the elevator is a bored looking woman. She is dressed in purple, but her dark, dark red lips are pulled back in a sneer. Her gloved hands are folded in front of her and her eyes follow you as you move. Before you can ask her anything, she speaks in a bored voice.
"If you are knocked out, I will bring you Exina for healing. If you need an exit from within the dungeon, without being near the exit, simply throw this onto the ground."
She hands you an off-white business card. The side she showed you is blank, but on the back it reads Randica. Exit Angel. One Time Use.
"You only get one, use it wisely."

[The Healer]
You are gazing around when a woman pushes past you.
"Move, move, move! I am by far more important than you will ever be!"
Her black dress flows behind her as she moves around, aiming for the elevator. You raise your hand to stop her. She stops and slowly turns.
"Are you dying? No. Are you injured? No. Do. Not. Stop. Me. Unless. You. Are. Dying. Or injured." She turns away, then starts laughing.
"Oooooooh! Is that for me Randica? Gimme, gimme."
"This is a person, Exina, not a thing. And no, they simply needed a break and couldn't reach the save point. Go away."
The woman, Exina, pouted.
"Ug, why is everyone just copping out. That's no fun!"
"Most people would be happy that a person is unhurt."
"Most people aren't healers. Whatever, I'm going to go bother Milona now."
"My god, why must you be this way." But the woman is gone, moving toward a woman in a hat.

[The Shop]
As you move around the main floor, you find a table full of trinkets, bottles, and food. Each item has a small price tag, with the price on the front and the name "Avagarnde's Daydreams". You look around to find the shop keeper, but you see nothing. Until you turn around, and there is a woman with large cream horns and an impassive face.
"Take what you want, no more than you need. Leave a coin on the table, enough is enough."
The woman says nothing else, but her eyes follow you as you move away.

[The Monster Hunter]
The next person that greets you is holding a gun over her shoulder and grinning widely.
"Well how-dee-do! Welcome welcome! The name's Milona! Middle of three! Hunter of Monsters! Oh no no no! Not the ones in here! I just head on down to the local DungeonMart and pick up some monsters for ye old Keeper. I'm pretty sure they don't like the gun but it goes great with my hat! If you see Zella or Schala tell them I said 'hi!'."

[Security]
Shining above a series of broken tables is a sign that reads "SECURITY". There's a man sitting in the pile of wood shards, reclined into the soft side of a poker table. There's a pink pillow stuffed behind his back and a red scythe tossed carelessly nearby.
"What do you mean, did I dress myself today?"
"Don't you "Kensing" me! I look fine today thank you very much!"
"Okay, you are seriously wearing a sheer shirt. That your SISTER picked out for you. You have no right to criticize me."
"Nah, bored, tired. I haven't had to break up any fights recently. Broke a couple tables though. Your sister is gonna love that."
"Oh, there's someone here. Wonder what they wan- nope, never mind. They're walking away."

[Save Point]
As you walk around, you notice that some of the tables have been made into beds. The tables have been gutted and in their place is a mattress and soft pillows. There's a girl passed out one, but as you get closer, she shoots up, launching stuffed animals and pillows everywhere. Only one stays on the bed, and it's emblazoned with the name "Neomi".
"Oh my gosh! Are you new? Hi, oh hi! I'm Neomi! Spelled just like you see on this pillow! Oh hi hi hi! I'm in charge of the save point! Every floor has a save point, and if you use it, you'll be right back here! You can get whatever you need then return here and head right back! I'm, um, usually sleeping, but feel free to wake me! Oh oh oh! Before you leave, this is Buggonmeister!" She motions of the giant stuffed creature that is lounging on her back. The thing blinks and you take a step back. "He's really nice! If I'm not awake, he can help you! Oh you're leaving? Byeeeeee~!"
You didn't think you could leave fast enough.

[Announcements/Help]
A loud, booming voice plays above you.
"Attention, attention current Dungeon Crawlers! Please look at your dungeon-provided phone to view the latest updates. Thank you, and remember not to die."
A phone? You open your bag and sure enough, there's a phone sitting on top. Shrugging, you unlock the phone to see that's the fuss.
You trip over a pile of books. You manage to catch yourself, pushing the books roughly aside in order to stand up, when a sharp nailed hand grabbed your wrist and dig in. When you look up, you see a name tag the reads: "HI MY NAME IS: Levingsmith. :/"
"Be careful you idiot! These books are more important than you are!"
You want to comment but her gaze shuts you up.
"I must shelve these immediately. These are quite bigger than normal, so many successful crawlers." She stands and begins to walk away, arms full of books.
After a few feet, she stops and turns around slightly, raising an eyebrow. You're still kneeling on the ground.
"The rate you're going, yours might only be a few pages." Cackling, she walks away.

[Crawlers]
There are four frames high above the ground, resting just below Kentrana's booth. Four people stare blankly into the casino. Three women, one man.
Under each frame is a name.
A voice speaks up from behind you.
"Those would be our crawlers. They were the first ones here, the first ones to beat our dungeon, well what was of it at the time. Every new floor that Orora opens, they come back. If you stick around long enough maybe you'll see them. They are quite hard to miss."
You turn to ask her a question, but Avagarnde is gone.
As you enter the elevator, there is a panel on the right side that looks like a smaller version of the board behind Kentrana. Some of the floors are blacked out, and the bottom half of the panel is completely busted. You hesitate before pressing a random button. Nothing happens. You try again, and still nothing happens. Sighing, you press the first floor. Might as well take it easy. As the door closes, you spot a girl sitting on a nearby poker table. It was hard to make her out, as she is dressed in all black and her skin is like galaxies. She waves and you feel magic wash over you for a moment. Glancing to your left, Randica gives you a weird look, before the door finally shuts.
A cackle that sounds like nails on a chalkboard rings out as you hit the only floor button available. All of the floors have been disabled and look like poker chips. As the top floor falls from view, you steady yourself. You breathe in and out, in and out. You close your eyes and ride the descent out, calm in all the quiet.
As if the dungeon is readying with you, a song rolls out from the elevator speakers.
