Background:
Max was brought up in Los Angeles to a somewhat wealthy, and lucky, family. He almost never had bad things happen to him as he was growing up which made him into a bully in middle school. Not many people liked him very much or wanted to be his friend because of this. His father pulled him aside one day, seeing how he had treated a kid after school and talked to him about what his actions were doing to the people around him.
Max’s parents pulled him out of public school for a couple years to homeschool him, telling him about their family's history with being extremely lucky and how they made their wealth. The family’s powers skipped every other generation, only being passed down to the males of his bloodline, meaning Max was the new holder of them.
After Max’s parents allowed him to enter public school again as a sophomore, he changed the way he treated people, using his good luck for other people’s advantage instead of his own. After that, Max made a lot of new friends in school and attended a lot of parties. After he graduated, he chose to go to Saint Sandorez to be around people who also had abilities of their own.
