[Backdated to Mid June 2017] Eta spent many of her evenings in the company of Sailor Corvus, others 'patrolling' around town with Sumi. She felt as though they worked rather well together. Their small troupe was becoming quite the family and it was with ease that they could all communicate with one another. It wasn't enough, though. Eta might have bonded herself to Sailor Corvus, Senshi of Vengeance, but the duty of a Mauvian was to all senshi, not just a select few. It meant that tonight she was out on her own, seeking out others who might have been lost or unawakened. If it was the former she hoped to help guide them-- the latter? Monitor carefully and awake if necessary, ideally giving them more time to grow and mature, if possible. The fall of her paws against pavement was light, her movements carrying her swiftly around the edges of town. She would pause from time to time to make sure she was still alone, extending her senses just enough to do a light sweep for auras to see if maybe, just maybe, she'd find a way to not spend the evening alone. It was perhaps a few days before the shock finally wore off. It wasn't every day that a talking cat showed up pronouncing that you were a heroine destined to fight evil. After that night at the bus stop Izobel had attempted to continue living her life as if it had never happened. The sight though that met her each night as she got ready for bed caused guilt to gnaw at her stomach. If she was a heroine shouldn't she be doing her part in the battle against evil? And yet, the talking cat, Mel, hadn't really instructed her on what came next. Besides rambling on about others that she had to meet and that she was a healer Izobel had no clue on what was going on.
This night was slightly different. Izobel glanced at the items laying on her computer desk. What had Mel called the little pen-like object again? Had it even come up? The other item was a cellphone and that was a little bit more benign. Everyone knew how to operate those and yet Izobel was a bit flummoxed at some of the features that were on her phone. Some seemed to work and others didn't. Tucking the phone and pen into her pockets Izobel headed out to check on her bees. Satisfied they were happily doing well Izzy glanced around before taking off in a direction away from her house. She needed answers, she needed to know what to do.
Finding an area that promised protection from the elements and away from prying eyes Izobel took out the pen and peered at it closely before sighing. Her voice was soft as she screwed up her courage to speak the words that would trigger her transformation, "Lacerta power, make-up."
Moments later she stood attired in the same outfit from before and sighed. What did she do now?skye starrfyre one clueless senshi for Eta to meet

The silver tabby had nearly given up on her evening adventure when she felt a small spark in the distance. An aura had glimmered at the edge of her senses; senshi, she would guess, just by the way it tingled. Basic level, she would hazard a guess, which meant that maybe they were in need of guidance every bit as much as she needed to guide someone. With a spring in her step Eta trotted in the direction of the aura, hoping the source of it didn't move too quickly. It was hard enough to track things across down with short legs, fast moving feline or no, but a senshi also had the ability to cover ground quickly too. When she rounded the corner to spot the girl she paused, clearing her throat softly (as much as a feline could) so as to not startle her. "Greetings and salutations. I hope tonight finds you well." tefla Thank you for your patience.<3

At first Izobel wasn't sure what she was doing. Mel had said something about others being able to find her if she remained powered up and yet the few minutes that had passed since transforming saw the senshi as alone as she had been before uttering the phrase that keyed the transformation. With a bit of a sigh Sailor Lacerta began to pace back and forth, lost in her thoughts. At first it was a mild tugging sensation that she felt and suddenly a voice piped up from seemingly nowhere. As quiet as the voice was, even pleasant in the greeting, Lacerta still startled. Glancing down to where the voice seemed to originate from the newly awakened senshi caught sight of a cat that seemed to shine silver in the moonlight. Kneeling down to stretch out a hand to the animal Lacerta clucked her tongue softly before tilting her head to the side. "I don't know why I'm trying to entice you to me as I am sure I heard you speak. In that case I should just answer you normally. Greetings to you as well. I'd say the night finds me well if I weren't so confused."
Lacerta really didn't want to rag on Mel, but leaving her as he had had been kind of reckless. She had no idea on what she was needing to do. How did a senshi like herself fight evil if all her powers did was heal?
"I would fathom a guess that since you can talk you are one of those cats that are unique?"

Eta trotted closer to the senshi's outstretched hand, butting her head lightlyagainst the young woman's fingertips. While she didn't let just anyone touch her, she had startled the girl and she found that acting the part of a feline from time to time seemed to soothe those who hadn't entirely adapted to this life. She purred a soft contentment for emphasis before opening bright eyes to peer up at the young woman. "Mauvian-- that's the name for what we are, but unique cat works as well. My name is Eta." The slender feline was smiling, tail swishing back and forth behind her. "What about this night has you confused, senshi?"

Lacerta smiled as the feline butted its head against her fingertips before picking up the subtle purring that was going on. Returning to a standing position the senshi glanced towards the sky and then back down to the cat who had just introduced herself as not only a Mauvian, but by her name as well, Eta. As Eta asked her what had her confused the girl sighed. Could she admit that she was clueless as to what her role was without looking like a complete fool? Closing her eyes and inhaling deeply Lacerta opened them to fix her blue eyes on the feline. "I think the simplest answer to your question would be that everything has me confused at this moment."
Pulling out her pen Lacerta returned to pacing. The girl almost wanted to tick off the points on her fingers as if listing them but consolidated all her answers with a simple statement, "I think the," here she tried out the new word, "Mauvian that gave me this pen needs to learn what his job is. He didn't tell me anything except that I seem to be a healer."
Placing her pen and phone on the ground before Eta she glanced at the almost innocuous items. "is there a chance a mistake was made? I have no idea what to do."

"No, dear, I am afraid that there is no mistake. If you were able to use this pen to become the senshi that I see before me right now than the Mauvian who bestowed it upon you was correct. It-- It is a bit intimidating all at once, isn't it?" The silver tabby sat back after leaning in to nose at both the pen and the cellular device. They both seemed to be in working order, so the guardian that had awoken the girl had done that correctly. "It seems to be a common thing amongst my kind. Unfortunate, really, as that was not how it always was. Some of us seem to have forgotten that it is our duty to guide and guard the sailor soldiers along their path. Others... Others are jus as young and new as you are and don't really know that's what they're to do in the first place." It saddened her in a way that had left her moping for days after she'd been told just what Sailor Corvus had gone through as a young senshi without guidance. "Perhaps I can be of service. Whatever questions you have I will do my best to answer them, and if I cannot I know someone who may be able to help. Eternal Sailor Corvus is my senshi and she has been around in Destiny City for some time now. I would hardly say that she knows everything, but she has learned a considerable amount-- most of which she did without a Mauvian until I arrived."

Perhaps she had been holding her breath thinking that all her troubles could disappear if Eta took back the items. Lacerta gave a heavy sigh at the small feline's announcement that no mistakes had been made. It was a little disappointing that she couldn't go back to how things had been before. Perhaps it was due to the fact that Mel hadn't really stuck around to explain what her role in the whole situation was that had her feeling unsure about everything. Her sigh was rather loud as she reached down to at least finger her transformation pen and the phone. Closing her eyes briefly Lacerta listened as Eta explained what role Mauvians were supposed to have played. She gave a rueful chuckle; not sure if her next comment would be considered inconsiderate or not. Mel had probably given her the chance to save herself from the monster that had attacked but it was unfair at the same time to have her life flipped upside down.
"I'm pretty sure that Mel missed the part where he's supposed to guide me then. I mean he didn't really stick close to my side or anything and he was just really confusing in general."
Picking up her phone the Senshi of Bandages flipped it over in her hand before kneeling before Eta once more. "I guess I do have some questions that could be fielded here and now," and she held out her phone, "I've fiddled around a little bit with this phone but I'm still unsure on what its full use can be. What can you tell me about it?"
Lacerta decided that maybe sitting would be more comfortable if she was going to be asking questions of Eta but was this the right location to do so? Where they promised relative safety if they stayed out of sight?

"From my understanding, there really wasn't much for us to go off of until recently either. I-- I know that doesn't mean much, and it certainly doesn't help, but..." As the young senshi knelt before her the Mauvian stepped forward, butting her head lightly against the girl's with a soft 'prrrp' noise before drawing back to nose at the offered phone. "That is your window to staying communicated with other senshi, and with me, if you chose to. There are some upgrades available to it as well, but... This button will allow you to save contacts. This one here," she made a small gesture with her paw before settling back on her haunches to make a face. "There are a few upgrades available to this model, if you're willing to let me borrow it for a moment. I could keep talking while I work-- did Mel show you how to find the Senshi Primer?" tefla Holiday season is over and I'm finally getting over this cold that's been destroying me. I should be back to semi-regular now. Thank you so much for your patience. <33

Perhaps it was because Eta was still a fairly young feline but Lacerta would honestly admit to herself and anyone that asked that she was feeling more at ease in the Mauvian's presence than she had ever felt around another. It's not like she could really fault Mel. He had been there for her a little but she'd not seen much of him since that awful place in which she and others had been trapped. Closing her eyes briefly she opened them as she felt Eta butt her head against her body and that allowed her to smile uncertainly.
As Eta nosed the phone Lacerta glanced down in surprise. Newer models existed? Wait, senshi primer? Okay, obviously Mel had missed telling her about that too.
Shaking her head Lacerta picked up the phone and glanced at it before putting it back down on the ground. Her voice was quiet as she replied to Eta's query. "No. I don't think it came up. I wasn't honestly shown much I'm afraid. Mel ... I guess rambled but he never really explained anything that would have been helpful."
Gently pushing the phone towards Eta she looked around, "If you can upgrade the phone I'd like that very much."

"There are a lot of resources at your disposal, Lacerta, and I will do my best to make sure that you have access to them." The slender silver feline buttered her head lightly against the young woman's arm with a soft mrrp of a purr before turning her attention to the communication device. The first phone that she had performed the upgrade on had been the one belonging to her own senshi, Sailor Corvus. It wasn't complicated, but it did take a bit of additional focus during which time the Mauvian fell silent in concentration. When she was finished, upgrading Lacerta's phone to the sleeker model that resembled some of the newer Earth phones, she nudged the device back towards the senshi. "There are several icons on the touch screen that should be of use to you. One of them is an emergency beacon, just in case you ever need assistant and no one is in the immediate area.... That one there takes you to the Primer. From my understanding, it's a bit out of date, but it's a start." Eta seemed satisfied with her work and hoped that it would be of help to the young woman. Lost senshi were one of her weaknesses and she would do anything within her ability to help set Lacerta on the right track.

As Eta gently butted her head against her arm Lacerta felt whatever uncertainty over the situation vanish. Surely Eta was doing a much better job at explaining things about what this new life was about. The sound she made when the phone was nudged back to her was one of small amazement. The phone now looked like any current phone one could buy almost anywhere. Her gaze admired the sleek design and it was with an adamant amount of restraint that she resisted the urge to immediate go to pushing random buttons. That would probably not be the smartest thing to do. And sure enough Lacerta realized that the button she had wanted to push was the one Eta was calling an emergency beacon.
Learning that there was a Primer in which one could access information was something new to her as well. It was something else that apparently had not been explained at all to her.
Lacerta knelt with her knees on the ground before and glanced up towards the sky before sighing. "Is there something I can admit to you Eta," the senshi of bandages paused before letting her gaze fall back to the young Mauvian, "is it bad to admit that I find all of this new life completely overwhelming?"skye starrfyre very sorry in the delay in tagging back.

"No, Lacerta, it's not bad at all. What you're being asked to do, the responsibility that's been foisted onto you is overwhelming. You didn't ask for any of it and while you could ignore it, there's no way to make it go away." She spoke softly, reaching out to gently rest a paw on the young woman's knee. "I wish there was something I could do to take that feeling away, that there was a magical way to reassure you that everything was going to be alright, but I can't. All I can do is offer you my services as a Mauvian whenever you are in need along with whatever introductions to other senshi I might be able to connect you to in order to help you on your journey. You needn't face any of this alone." Eta hoped that her words reassured the young woman; that she could somehow provide her some form of solace.

Lacerta was perhaps thanking her lucky stars that she had run into Eta on this night. The young Muavian may have started the process of opening new pathways that she could walk down; and not alone which was the best news ever. The senshi of bandages gently reached down to take Eta's paw. "Thank you Eta. It's nice to know that I have someone that I can look to for answers."
Rising to her feet the teen glanced around the empty park before sighing. "The Mauvian who awoke me mentioned that I was probably a healer and I am beginning to wonder if that means that in a fight I need to stay out of the way," she looked at Eta, as if seeking confirmation of her theory, "do you think it's a flawed assumption?"
Crouching back down Lacerta grinned at Eta. It would be strange if someone came across the scene to see a girl talking to a cat.
