Matt
It was too much, even Matt knew that that Kasi had gone out of her way to purposely overdo the electric charge in directed towards the younger hunter and in some ways it was partly his own fault for not realizing she had done it. He cursed at her as she simply returned a snorted noise completely ignoring the fact she had done anything wrong, and even if she had she wouldn’t take the time to admit to it. Still, it was something the younger hunter would have to deal with in the end, as harsh as it sounded even in Matt’s own head being shocked by something similar to lightning would be only a few things that he would have to deal with out on missions. If anything the scar still on Matt’s chest was proof enough that s**t could get a lot worse than dealing with a little zapping.
He gave the Sun a few more seconds before dismissing Kasi and reaching out to help him, there was a sympathetic look across his face. “You ok?”

Kyle
Kyle had no idea how long the screams had lasted or when the pain had stopped entirely along with the ligtning. All he knew was that he was on the ground though he couldn't recall exactly how he had landed up there and Matt was helping him up with something akin to sympathy written all over his face.
"Y... Yeah..." Sitting himself upright, he reflected quietly on what had just happened and quickly got up. "... again. I want a rematch. I can do better than that!"

Matt
The corners of Matt’s lips pulled into a hint of a frown as he held out his hand to help the younger hunter up only to pull it back when the sun jumped to his feet. Not that he disagreed with the younger man’s enthusiasm and the fact that despite being knocked down he got back up on his feet again but it was too soon to rush forward without taking in account his own limits and injuries.
“Tomorrow, you need to take a little bit of a break and let yourself heal a little bit after this spar, you did fairly well.” Matt added trying to be supportive in some way.

"No! I can go on. I want the rematch now." Kyle insisted, his head shaking a few times despite the action alone being enough to make his face turn pale and threaten to throw him entirely off balance. He lifted his hand to the cross necklace around his neck, his breathing frantic and fast now as he tightened his grip around it and willed Semaj to turn into the shurikens that he usually wielded. But nothing happened. "Come on Semaj. We can do this. Let's show Matt what we can do."
Matt
There was a brief look of surprise on Matt’s face as he watched the younger hunter turn too pale of a color. Shaking his head he placed his hands on the Sun’s shoulders to help steady him as a disconcerting look was thrown at the cross he clung to trying to will into a weapon again.
“Kyle you need to rest, if we keep going you will get hurt and that is the last thing I want to do to you. You have to know your limits and you are there pushing too much won’t make you any better.”

Kyle
"But..." He took a step back from Matt with a frown, desperation turning quickly to anger and frustration at how things were not going his way. "You don't understand. I can do this. I know what I'm doing. You don't have to worry about me."
Closing his fingers tightly around the cross, he yanked it off his neck entirely and threw it onto the ground. "This is all YOUR fault! Why aren't you responding to me?!" Taking a few more steps back, he started to hyperventilate, his hands lifting to rub at his face a few more times before he eventually turned around and ran towards the beach.

“That isn’t the problem Kyle, it’s not that I don’t doubt you can do it but right now it isn’t the best time to push past your limits. We can revisit this tomorrow.” There was a snicker coming from the corner of his mind as Kasi seemed to be rather more amused at the younger hunter’s behavior. It wasn’t until that he threw the necklace to the ground that it went from dealing with to all hell breaking loose. Between Kyle’s outburst and Kasi screeching at how the hunter dared treat his weapon Matt almost had enough sense to leave them both behind and find somewhere peaceful to hide for a few hours.
However much to his own dismay he knew it wouldn’t do any good as he picked up the cross from the ground.

Kyle
It's over. Everything. Just when things were starting to look up for him, Kyle just had to go and ruin everything with his own hands like that. That was all that the Sun could think of as he ran as fast as he could from the training ground. From Matt, Kasi and Semaj.
He didn't know what came over him back there. All he wanted to do was to show Matt the amount of progress he had made with his training. But just about everything that could go wrong back there did and it frustrated him to no end that he couldn't stand sticking around to face the consequences of it all.
Arriving at the beach, he tripped over his own feet which sent him sprawling face first into the sand where he laid very still and quiet with only his own thoughts to mock his recent failure.

Matt
It was silent and cold as Matt looked at the cross for a minute before tucking it away into a pocket for safekeeping whenever the Sun would return. Turning on his heel he gathered up their things and started to head back to the room before showering and heading off for a shift at the infirmary. The thought of following had crossed his mind but he wanted to give the man some space, to at least take a moment to cool off and take time for himself before Matt lost his own temper with him. It wasn’t the outburst that bothered him, it was how he handled Semaj that did and Kasi made sure that Matt knew it wasn’t right as well.
Whenever Kyle wanted to return he could until then Matt would continue on as if it was the usual.
