Eirlys had plans for her family. Plans that she wanted to ask someone who had a stable living situation. She paced for a few moments before she looked to where she knew Eiira to be. Taking a deep breath she lifted a hand to knock on the older woman's door.

There was the sound of four shuffling feet, those that someone like Eirlys would recognize as being Branko, before there was a 'THUD' as the beast hit the door. He knew who was on the other side and wanted to greet her... but he lacked the needed thumbs to do so. There was the sound of the creature dancing around in front of the door followed by Eira's voice, "Branko, you dolt, stop running into the door... I don't want to have to replace it." She scolded before she nudged him out of the way with her bare foot. Opening the door she starred out at a familiar face and gave a smile, "Ahhh... Eirlys, you've returned to us. Is the whole group here? Do you need rooms?" She was sure that Uli might be bunking with her son again since they were good friends but what about the rest of them? Stepping back into the room the dancer motioned her forward, "I'm still in my night clothes so if you'd like to join me while I change? Tell me what you've been up to."

Eirlys chuckled as she walked in, petting the lumbering Snaptrotter. She took a deep breath. "We're all here, Riya's already complaining and wishing she was back in Zena. Rooms would be lovely, Eira thank you. I think...Uli might be bunking with Li...wouldn't it be adorable if they were a couple?" The thought tumbled out of her mouth. Smiling softly as she stood there. "I had a question...how hard was it for you to build this Inn?"

Eira walked over to her dresser, digging around through it as her friend came into the room and started to speak. She only gave pause at the mention of Li and Uli becoming a couple and it being 'adorable'. She gave a shake of her head and said, "For the time being Callistos has many obligations as the heir to the inn, he can't think about things such as dating." Nor should he be thinking about dating another man when that would never produce another heir she thought to herself. Now if he'd decided to marry Riya that would be different since she could provide Li with an heir. A shame she hadn't considered a betrothal between the two when they were younger. After finding what she wanted Eira set to changing, back to her friend, and replied to her, "It was a bit tough at first but nowadays when I want to add something it's far easier since I already have all the contacts to get things up and going." Glancing over her shoulder she asked, "Planning on becoming competition, Eirlys?"

There was a moment Eirlys had to bite her tongue to keep from making a comment. She had a belief that the kids could pick their own partner. Forcing things on them never ended well. Just look at half of her siblings. None of them planned to give their Mother grandkids due to how she raised them. She gave a stiff nod, choosing to look out the window. Sadly right to the view of Elfani training Uli outside. She inhaled slowly. "No." Her answer was stiff. She was letting a little of her ire leak out. Quickly shaking her head. "No, we just wanted to set up a home. Huyana doesn't want to keep moving if we plan to add more to the line." She looked to Eira then back to the training. "Riya has a love back in Zena...I wasn't raised to hold the ideal of forcing things upon a child. Though. That was attempted on me once or twice..." she gave a hallow huff. "Now I don't speak of that parent." there was a warning to the elder should she choose to hear it. Eirlys' eyes were a bit sorrowful. She wrapped her arms around herself. "Eira...do you talk with your family nowadays?"

Eira was pleased at first, not wanting to end up with a friend as competition because that would only cost the both of them business unless they arranged things just so to avoid such conflicts. She grabbed up her brush, starting to run it through her long, dark blue locks. As she did so she nodded, "Add more to the line? That sounds nice. If you'd like to meet my contractor I can..." She trailed off at mention of Riya and her 'love back in Zena'. Words that were followed by felt like a lecture that had Eira standing up right, arms crossing, and she starred at her friend, "You needn't worry about my son, Eirlys. He was born into his position as my heir and he is well aware of all of what it entails. He's not being forced into anything, it's a grand position and a gift to take over this inn one day. He's not going to turn on me just because he has a duty to the inn." She didn't know what happened with Eirlys and her family but Li had no reason to stop talking to her she thought to herself, "My family? Of course... my brother lives in the inn and I send letters back and forth to my father. He doesn't leave Zena much though, thinks he will risk missing some big catch if he lets someone else hunt for him." Stubborn old man that he was. Cocking her head to one side she asked, "Why?"

Eirlys sighed, falling a little back into the wall as she felt everything fall on her. "I was raised by Mothers...two women who as far as I knew loved each other beyond measure." she inhaled. "They took in hybrids that were tossed to the side...children who never got that chance at a good parent at the start. As time went on...I learned I was the daughter of a rival to my Mother....my Mama...who nurtured us. Had an affair during a rocky year for them. I was the result..." She slowly sank to the floor. "Mama loves us..she never asked anything of us. She let us choose our paths. Mother..." she sighed. "Mother had a plan...that was fine...but...she didn't like it when we picked something she didn't want. She was controlling...you...you said a phrase I've heard her say to one of my brothers to make them rethink wanting to craft. "Its a grand position..." that was a phrase she said often..." she sighed. "My mothers are no longer partners. My brother Elfani...who's teaching Hulis magic...told me that Mother wishes for her children to join her. She wants me to return...drop my life here...and take over her life...I want no part in this...my family is broken....my mothers...i can't pick---" she broke her words as she buried her face in the crook of one arm. Muffled sniffles. She didn't break like this in front of Huyana yet because she didn't want him to worry.

Eira remained silent as Eirlys started to speak in a flood. It seemed as though she was dealing with quite a bit, wasn't she? Enough so that it caused Eira's temper to ease up a bit. No reason to allow herself to get angry when it sounded as though Eirlys was upset over things that didn't involve Eira or Callistos, meaning she was just lashing out. Not something that she would normally get caught up in if it wasn't someone that she liked. It was just anyone she'd have Gyuri toss them out but Eirlys was different. Settling down in front of a mirror on her desk she said, "You shouldn't side with either. That will just make it worse." As she spoke she set to working on her make up, "Any time you side with people that are battling with each other it just makes you the enemy of one and weapon of the other. Not something that seems to suit you. You're too... nice." Glancing at Eirlys's reflection in her mirror she said, "How about I get you something to eat, a good, strong drink, and you can relax instead of worry about things that are out of your control." Some wine might help her and she had gotten in a few bottles of a nice, strawberry wine recently. Might as well pop open a bottle for Eirlys. Getting to her feet once her face was painted perfectly to her liking she said, "Come on, Lys."

Eirlys blinked as she looked up to the elder. A weak smile and she got up to join the other. "Okay...sorry...I just...I've always been the support you know? Its odd being the supporter."

Eira gave a lazy shrug of one shoulder and said, "I will let you enjoy the wonder that is being my follower if you'd like." It was an offer that was mostly a joke but she couldn't say that she didn't mind the idea of a bunch of followers. So long as Eirlys kept all of her beasts outside... save for any that might fall into the category that was allowed within the walls of the inn. There were only a two exceptions to said rule and they had good excuses. Motioning to the other Zenan she moved out of her room, padding along barefoot out of the back area that the staff stayed in and into the open common room of her inn, "Sit out the counter and I will get you something to drink." She paused a moment, giving Eirlys a glance, and said, "That is if you aren't already with those extra additions to your family that you spoke of? If that is the case I will get you something other then wine to drink." Before going behind the bar she opened the front door, allowing Branko to go outside. He'd run around a bit, soak up some sun, and otherwise entertain himself before he wanted to come back in to sleep behind the bar. She watched him rush off and called after him, "Behave and leave potential guests alone!" With that she returned to Eirlys, stepping behind the bar, and worked on getting out a pair of mugs.

Eirlys chuckled as she followed the elder. Walking out into the common area she shook her head. "No, not yet." she sat to wait for her drink. "So, what sort of beasts are allowed inside?"

Eira gave a little sigh as she returned to the bar, getting out the mugs for their drinks, "It really does seem like I am breaking my own rules all the time but I just claim that Branko is a second bouncer and Rae is around to help Makani. Aside from that pair though only beasts that are the side of one's forearm in length are allowed inside. It's neater that way. The others go to the stables that were specially built for them." After fetching a bottle of wine she popped it open, pouring some into the glass, and slid it over to Eirlys. Knowing that she wasn't carrying at the moment meant that she was able to share said wine with her. Otherwise she'd of gotten something else for her instead.

Eirlys took her mug, raising it to the elder female with a smile. "To our families...extended and blood bound. May they live long and prosper." she took a sip before letting out a sigh. "So...how has your month been?"

Eira held up her mug as the other offered a toast before taking a sip from the sweet strawberry wine. It was a toast to their families and one that she would allow since Eirlys had seemed to move passed the earlier arguement that the two of them were about to have. Soemthing that Eira was grateful for since it wasn't something she wanted to fight about with her friend. "It's actually been a good month. A guy I know who does all the construction around the inn has the bathhouse well under way. It should hopefully be open soon and we will be able to use it soon!" She couldn't wait, it would be so relaxing she thought to herself. Giving a smile she said, "On top of that Callistos seems to be taking charge, planning some things out that should help out the inn quite a bit if what he's planning succeeds." She was eager to see how it went since the plans that her son had were good ones. Ones that would make the inn prosper if it went well. Not to mention it would save the inn a lot of money in the long run that they could put into other projects.

She smiled as the elder talked about her son. Eira really did love the child, so wanting him to further the family was only natural. She nodded. "What are his ideas? I'm curious...my younger brother who's got more than a bit of a green thumb is here to train Hulis in magic. Maybe he can help." She knew Elfani had a knack for plants and such. Maybe he and Makani could collaborate on things. "He spoke of bringing one of his promising students down to help spur Uli in furthering his power. Give him a rival to strive to beat sort of thing." she shook her head chuckling. "Don't think it'll work..but we'll see." She sipped at the wine with a hum. "I do like the idea of a bathhouse...would be a great add-on."
