Gevaudan did not have a ring. He didn’t have much in the way of Knight tools, but he did have text messaging. His phone buzzed and he checked it with the same sort of seriousness he took all business pertaining to his night-time career. However, quick messages were kinda hard when you were with someone and wanted to ask permission first before bolting out of the house.
After a while, a text returned.
I can do that. Time and place?
Though just because Venice sent him the text, he would still be on guard of potential set-ups as he always was when meeting anyone he didn’t know. It was a fear he would never shake since his capture years ago. Unfortunately for him, his purification did not take those memories.
After a while, due to actually needing to get from home and then to town, a bit of a trial from where he lived outside of Deus, he arrived looking a bit flushed in the face but otherwise just as stoic as ever.
Dressed in matching colors to Venice, Gevaudan walked up and looked about before breathing out in relief that there were no enemies in sight as he approached. “Is she under your supervision?” Was the first thing he asked. Usually he didn’t bother with senshi on ANY side, so even if they were fighting Chaos, he really couldn’t care less. However, Venice wanted to help her and that changed things a bit. He might still need some convincing.

After sending the time and location, asking if the other were able to perhaps...maybe meet up tonight, he felt guilty asking that, he was pleased with the response. Letting the chibi know what was going on, hopefully the actual meeting would go well. He hadn’t spoken to the other in a while and he wasn’t sure he’d label them as friends...just team mates.
When the other Ganymede knight arrived he watched, kept silent for now, he’d let the other ask questions or set the pace for things. So when the other questioned him he gave a sort of nod. “Cetus brought her to my attention to see if I could help…” While his english was improving the accent was still heavy, something it was likely to be for a long while really.
“Don’t know weapons like hers….don’t know weapons in fighting. Similar to yours in style...but sash and bead instead.” So it was something similar but not as deadly as his. But the mechanics should be similar - right?

Ellicott kept a gentle hand on her dog’s head even as she wished to snap at the new knights tone. She was 13, while still a child, she did not need any supervision. But she was a lady and ladies did not show irritation. Not overtly atleast.
“Thank you for coming, I am Ellicott, senshi of dance, and while it is true that I did request help in training I feel I must point out that my sash is not a weapon in the traditional sense. It is a part of my uniform that currently poses a… a hazard,” she hesitated for a moment before using the best term she could think of for her sash. Her tone was a bit sharp and rather formal, the British accent ringing throughout her little speech. “Normally when training I tie it up out of the way but I know that that time will not always be granted to me in a moment of emergency. So I had asked my teacher, asked Cetus, if he had any suggestions. He had a few but none really seemed the best way as they mostly required close quarter combat.” She had slipped out of her jacket at this point to show the new knight the indicated sash in all its lengthy glory.
“As you can see close quarters is not the safest spot for me during a fight.” Not when her smaller stature and strength could be easily overpowered by someone else. “He directed me to Venice who then contacted you.”

His eyes were on the dog, and only one the dog as the senshi spoke, glancing once when she revealed herself, looked at her face, and then looked back at the dog.
“Nothing is a weapon in the traditional sense. I’ve seen it all, and I’ve seen it all made into a weapon. It’s what the Negaverse first starts out with. Some minor toy or household item. It’s what you make of it since it will serve as the fundamentals for when your weapon does get serious - if logic follows the same rules on this side.” He crossed his arms and finally bothered to look at her fully now. “I’ve killed someone with a trash can lid once.” This was not said as a joke or with any sense of regret. “If you view it as a weapon, it’s a weapon.”
He moved closer, inspecting her and the sash. “Take off the jacket. Is the sash attached to your body in any way? If you want to fight with it, remove any connect to it to your body the moment you power up. If you try and use it as a weapon, anyone can get the advantage on you by grabbing it and pulling you into oncoming traffic or into a enemy’s weapon.” His tone was business and boredom.
“Before I go on, I’ll make it very clear that I don’t like senshi and I especially don’t like young ones. It’s a crime that they even let you fight this young. It shows a lack of standards and decency. As long as Venice vouches for you, I’ll give you advice. If I train you, it means I don’t play fair and I don’t play soft.”
“Now, before I begin with pointers. I will ask only two things of you.”
“One.” He raised his finger. “Do you agree to this?”
“Two.” He pointed the raised finger to her dog. “Can I pet your dog?”

He knew the other would be all serious, he had expected it even before the other knight had arrived. The other wasn’t one for beating around bushes or sugar coating things, which was good. Doing either of those things would only mean more time was taken to get to the main point and to get things done - things with actual purpose.
He did agree about weapons not needing to be traditional, though he wasn’t sure he could kill with a feather duster, it certainly wasn’t traditional. He could only imagine what Cetus had suggested which required being close in, he had a feeling it might be a bit much for the little senshi. The other knight though would likely want her to do similar, train her to, she just needed to learn how to.
Though honestly he had never killed a person. He had tried to help kill someone and he felt confident that if put in the right position he could and would kill someone. He just didn’t know what the after effects would be. He was more willing to do it now though, after talking with Caedus.
The first question he understood but the second...that was amusing and had him trying to smother his laughter behind a hand - it was cute!

Ellicott noticed the way the older knight was watching Sherlock but she completely misunderstood. She thought it was because he was leery of the Alaskan Malamute/German Shepard mix. The dog looked like a wolf, anyone would be leery of such a sight so she kept a hand on the dog just in case. Keeping her face as blank as possible as knight spoke on weapons she still couldn’t help but wince slightly at the comment on killing someone. She knew that she was a fighter in a war. She was going to be facing people who would be trying to kill her. She knew this but still, to be faced with someone who coldly admitted to murdering someone, it wasn’t easy to take. Could she ever do the same thing? If it ever came to that point could she kill someone? She didn’t know… she honestly didn’t know.
It was a good thing that he seemed to change focus, it allowed her to put the previous thoughts away to mull over at another time. “It is.” She let the jacket drop from her arms completely, turning in a circle to show how the sash draped across her uniform, connecting in a few places. It would not be easy to disconnect but the knight was right. If she didn’t do so it could be used against her. She wasn’t even sure if it could be. If it wasn’t possible Ellicott might be just be stuck with tieing it out of the way for safety.
“I did not ask to join this fight but since I am here I will do my damndest not to die. Besides, ladies don’t start fights, we finish them.” She said with a clip to her accent. “I don’t want you to ‘play’ soft or fair. I know that those I will be facing will do neither so I can’t either.” Ellicott took a moment to get her anger under control, a lot of this was helped by the request to pet Sherlock. Apparently he wasn’t concerned by the dog, he liked him. “I agree. Sherlock,” She waited until the dog looked at her before saying one word while removing the leash on his collar, “rafiki.” Friend. It was permission for the dog greet others. That it was ok to go up to a stranger and it was fine if they wished to pet or play with him.
Sherlock of course was ecstatic with this order and promptly bounded the few paces towards the knight. He promptly started to sniff the older male, his tail wagging a mile a minute. So many interesting smells.

Gevaudan did not hesitate to kneel down and hold out his hands for the dog to inspect him before moving to pet him. The normal scowl and look of seriousness vanished as he beamed at Sherlock. He petted his arms, and his head, to his next and scruff and then his back. Petting was a serious focus for him, and he spent a good length of time indulging in petting him. Once he was sure he had properly petting Sherlock, he stood up and then the scowl returned.
“Make sure Sherlock doesn’t attack me if we practice. I don’t want to kill him for him protecting you.”
He patted the dog once more before moving over to her.
“Can you tear your sash off right now?” Gevaudan looked to Venice. “You can practice with her if you would like.“

Seung already knew Gevaudan liked dogs, having seen the other Ganymede knight when he’d met Yeong as well as having seen Gevaudan with his own puppy. This was why Venice wasn’t surprised when watching him seem to get lost in paying attention to Ellicott’s dog. He really was an intimidating dog, in looks, but obviously was far from it in reality.
“Could.” Venice responded with a nodding of his head. “Or make sure dog is good?” He asked, looking from Gevaudan to Ellicott to see what they both thought. This was training for her really, not himself, should she be working with the other knight and not himself? Since it was to help her, a lesson the smaller male could teach her.
“I can help, with sash removing.” If she needed, or wanted, the help.

Ellicott didn’t like the knight but the way he lavished attention on her dog brought a smile to her face. Anyone who could adore Sherlock couldn’t be that bad, right? The smile was wiped from her face faster than snow on a summer day though when the knight spoke again. “He has more manners them most American’s I have met.” It was pretty clear from her tone she was talking about Gevaudan. “Let me get Sherlock settled then I’ll take it off.” She scooped up her coat and called out to the dog. “Kuja, come here boy.” She repeated the command in english and when the dog trotted over she rewarded him with several scratches and ‘good boy’s’. Crouching down on his level she muttered several things in the dog’s ear while pointing at the two boys. After a little bit she moved off, Sherlock at her side. She settled the dog on the cracked cement of the building, her jacket right beside him and gave him another series of commands, repeating ‘friend’ over again. Ellicott knew that Sherlock had been trained well but she also wasn’t certain that the training the knight was about to place her through won't override his training.
With a smile, a true and happy smile, she nodded to Venice. “Your welcome to sit with Sherlock, he won’t mind. And I would appreciate your help with the sash.” The length of cloth draped around her entire waist before crossing her shoulders. She was flexible but she wasn’t that flexible.

Gev watched the dog and as Venice volunteered to help, Gev raised a hand. “Next time, no one is going to help you remove it. Make it a point to figure out how to do it on your own in your spare time. If you have such a long sash, even if you weren’t using it as a weapon, someone is going to grab it when you fight and kill you. I don’t want you depending on anyone else next time.”
He walked a distance off and turned to face them.
“Once you have that off, from where you stand,” Gevaudan wanted to see if her aim was any good, and if it was, if he could catch the bead. If he could, that meant someone of his rank could which was a danger to her. “Also, if your dog breaks command, I will break your dog. If you try to run off, I’ll break your dog. If you don’t hit me at least once, I’ll break your dog.”
“Now remove the sash and from where you stand, hit me.”
He was not kidding about breaking her dog, and he looked to Venice a moment. “If you interfere, I’ll let you take the dog’s punishment.”

Following behind Ellicott he watched her work with the dog and get him laying down on the ground. “Let me get sash off of you.” He said this even as he moved around her in order to remove it. Slender fingers were quick and made fast work of what held the sash in place. Hopefully when she powered up it wouldn’t be such an issue, maybe something easier to remove and perhaps even shorter - less of a health risk.
“I will keep Sherlock safe.” And keep the dog from getting up. No matter how well a dog was trained there really was no telling how a dog would react if it thought it’s owner was in danger or being hurt. Not to mention who knew if a dog would be able to tell the difference between...well not being hurt and actually being hurt - such as the case here.
He wasn’t surprised by the other knights words, they really didn’t surprise him. He might, normally, call it harsh because Ellicott was a child...but this was a war and it meant things needed to be taken more seriously and so his words were understood by the older (well kinda older) male.
“Won’t get involved Gevaudan.” He had no intentions of doing so, especially when he was now seating himself by her dog. He was intent upon keeping Sherlock well behaved, not wanting the dog to come to any harm.

At first Ellicott was surprised at Gev’s order regarding her sash but that quickly faded and she had the grace to appear embarrassed. Afterall she had requested his help specifically because she knew she wouldn’t always have the time to tie up the sash, what made her think that she would have help to remove it? She muttered a quiet ‘thank you’ to Venice as he helped her, quickly pulling off the part of the sash that actually came off. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, the sash ripped after about six feet leaving the band crossing her shoulders still in place. This still left her with a decent length of material but not so long that she couldn’t handle it.
With the sash ready she faced him and was about to bow like she had been taught in class when Gevaudan gave his ultimatum. She turned from general dislike of the knight to hatred faster than milk in a hot car. She was rigid in anger, her eyes glittering and hard. If he laid one hand on her dog with ill intent Sherlock’s retaliation would be the least of his worries. Her anger was like a ringing in her ears, she needed to calm down because she had to think. Elli knew she didn’t have the strength or skill to beat him… and she desperately wanted to beat him. So what did she have? She had speed, she had agility, and she had surprise. The knight standing there had no idea who he had just pissed off.
She had totally missed the exchange between Gevaudan and Venice as her mind raced. She absently ran the cloth through her hands as her narrowed eyes studied the knight. One shot. Ellicott had one shot before her ‘skills’ are countered by him. That one shot would have to count. Taking one last breath the chibi ‘centered’ herself like she was taught in class before springing into action. She would take a page from the first time she tried to use the sash but add a bit more knowledge into it.
The chibi raced right for the knight, the soles of her non-uniformed shoes helping her speed across the cracked pavement. At the last moment she dodged to the right, curving around him, waiting until she was behind him to unleash her true attack. Slowing just slightly the young dancer spun into a basic pirouette, hoping use the centrifugal force of the move to provide force behind her attack. Just like she had tried when she first realized the problem of the sash, but this time using that to her advantage. As she was about two thirds of a way around she whipped her arm out, allowing the sash to flow through her fingers, the bead rocketing outwards. By the time she came to a stop the bead was curving right towards the knight’s side, all the force of her spin behind it. And unlike the first time the bead would slam into Gev rather than her wrist. He needed the bruises more than she did…. Threatening her dog! So ungentlemanly!

He waited as he wasn’t about to start sprinting and bobbing if he wasn’t even sure she could get a easy hit in. Senshi were primarily magic so an attack from a weapon would be surprising to some. Right now, he wanted to see how much her small size could move the bead and how much force was needed to stop it. It wasn’t plastic so it was heavier but would be lighter than metal.
He watched her sprint and kept his elbows tucked in and hands up, digging his heels in as he awaited impact. It always unnerved him when anyone was at his back, but he waited till the bead snapped about him and he held his hands up to catch it. The impact was rough, hitting him slightly to the side of his chest, and he felt the wind whip out of him, but his hands went to grab the bead in his arms like a weighted ball.
Getting a grip, he then threw it as hard as he could away from him. If she wanted to keep it, she would have to hold tight to the sash and keep a solid footing. If she didn’t, the bead and sash would sail away.
He wondered if she held on if her small weight would sent her flying forward.

Watching the two from where he sat, having never seen the chibi fight...never even seen her till tonight, he was curious what she would bring to the table. He had seen Gevaudan in a fight, though it had only been the time in the Rift really, it had been enough to leave an impact. The other was a fighter and was not going to play nice at all, even against a chibi, but he knew in the end it would help her
So he sat and watched as she ran at the other knight and moved behind him with a good amount of speed. She was young though and small so he wasn’t surprised by her speed. The dance like move, he was sure it was a dance move, was interesting. Including dance in fighting...not a bad idea, he was sure some dancers might take offence to such, but as he watched he hoped she did well - hoped she proved herself.
He watched as the bead, and sash, were tossed by Gevaudan and wondered where it would land or would she be able to keep that from happening.

She knew it had struck the knight, the tension on the sash changed drastically, and a rather startling smile drifted across her face. A smile that was chilly and vindictive. He threatened her dog! He deserved more than just a few bruises. Elli didn’t have any time to contemplate the next move when the sash slithered out of her grasp as Gev tossed the bead away but that was ok since she really didn’t know how to use it beyond that one move instead she went from the fourth position from ballet into a kung fu step. She sunk down onto her right leg, her left extended in front of her, her hands in their appropriate positions. Once she had been curious and found that in Tai Chi they called this move ‘snake creeps through the grass’, or something like that, which made sense since it was one of the lower moves they did.
With her balance secure she sprung into the next combination, shifting her weight from her right leg to her left. Rising into a ‘part horse's mane’ leg stance, one of the most common stances in that particular form of exercise, her left leg at a right angle with her right extended behind her, she shoved her palms up into the knights lower back. Hoping that her speed, surprise, and shifting weight would send him toppling onto his face. He needed to eat a giant slice of humble pie and Ellicott wanted to be the one to feed it too him. When she had tried this particular move on Cetus he had stumbled forward and nearly eaten grass but the other martial artiest had quickly regained his balance. Elli hopped that the knight wouldn’t be quite so lucky and would find himself face planting into the cement.

This wasn’t his first fight and while the move showed experience, it also narrowed her down to a list that screamed training and switched over his own tactics to compensate. This wasn’t street fighting or boxing. It was something guided and taught.
As he was shoved, he went with the momentum and rolled forward before he turned and summoned his own weapon.
A large, golden dog head dropped with a heavy CLANG onto the asphalt and he gripped the golden chain in his gloved hands.
“My turn.”
Her close combat wouldn't work on ranged weapons.
Standing, he started to spin the weighted head around and around at his side. She went for his body and as he tossed a wide angle for her, he went for her midsection.
If she jumped, he was ready to rush her at the landing and kick her down.

Watching from where he sat, with Sherlock, he wasn’t surprised to see moves he would expect from his friend Cetus. Knowing the other was helping her, to train her, and that he had her taking professional lessons he expected it. He didn’t know just what stances to expect but he knew she’d go to dance, as Cetus had mentioned to him, and to the martial arts she was learning. He was glad to see it, she showed she was learning well, his friend would be proud.
He also wasn’t surprised when the other knight went with it. The other had a lot of experience, that much was obvious, and he sat watching. A hand on the dogs collar to keep him in place in case he decided to get up and get involved as well.
Had he mentioned this to the other knight? He didn’t think he had but he also knew it would be easy to tell and the other would likely be able to work with, and around, it due to his own experience.

Her disappointment on the way the older knight recovered from her attack quickly changed to surprise as his weapon appeared in his hand. She had been hoping that he would faceplant but it had been a long shot. At least the strike had landed, Elli wasn’t even sure that would have happened. And now she faced the rather imposing figure of the knight. The young senshi scrambled back until she was standing once more, shifting into a relaxed stance, ready for anything only to start slightly at the loud sound his weapon made when it struck the ground. If she thought her sash hurt when it hit her, getting hit by that would hurt so much worse. Ellicott could feel her pulse jumping as he proclaimed it ‘his turn’ and promptly started to rotate his weapon… it was so much worse then her bead.
Her mind raced with possible attacks and counter attacks but when that large, golden chunk of medal came at her she reacted unconsciously. Elli dropped into a split, hugging her front leg so she was as low as possible to avoid the carved dog’s head and the chain that trailed after it.
Ellicott wasn’t the only one to get worried when the knight made his weapon appear. Sherlock whined softly at its appearance, his ears flattening some as the clang of it hitting the ground echoed in the space. The dog might have accompanied Elli to many a training session, even on several patrols, but he hadn’t witnessed anything like this, at least not yet. He had been well trained however. He would remain where he was… for now.

Getting low was a risky move that alarmed him. Lower meant you could be punched down into, would take time to get up, had less options in evasion, and your vitals were less protected as it was easier to hit down into a skull or kick into a chest or face.
If he wanted to use his weapon, he would need to keep that momentum controlled by swinging it around his person and turn it back into a smaller loop. That took too much time so hr instead dismissed it entirely as he raced at her and went to kick her in her body.
“Dropping down is the worst you can do!” he barked his warning at her like a scolding parent.

Glad that Sherlock hadn’t pulled, or even budged really, Venice stayed and watched. He was surprised she went into a split so quickly, it seemed so easy for her. He knew that wasn’t something he could do...it looked painful honestly. At least she had avoided the attack, though he was sure she could have done something else...though when faced with that sort of weapon he wasn’t even sure...aside from ducking or backing up...maybe moving to the side to side step.
But he hadn’t expected the other knights reaction; though he had never seen someone in such a position he could understand how it was vulnerable. The other knight no doubt did also and without a doubt saw more wrong with it than Venice did and reacted accordingly. That explained the others reaction being as dramatic and loud as it was...though Venice was somehow pleased with that - it showed the other cared. Even if it was loud or harsh the fact he was teaching...he cared.

Ellicott grimaced as she pulled off a move that she wasn’t even sure she could do by rocking onto her back, pushing off with her hands, and kicking up with her ‘back’ leg. It was something she had seen while watching some dancers on the street. They were doing handstands and backflips and all this interesting stuff, hip hop and break dancing, there was even some more traditional ballet moves mixed in. It had been fascinating and it was the first thing that sprang to mind when she saw the older knight come barreling at her. There was no way the move was done properly but it did its job by providing enough movement to kick out at him while roll out of the way.
It gave her enough space and momentum that she was able to get to her feet. At least now she was standing but she was leary of physically engaging him once more. He was stronger and larger than her. All she had was speed and he didn’t seem to be doing all that bad in that department either. “Yes well. What would you have suggested,” She snapped back at him even as she tried to control her breathing. She knew she needed to focus, she couldn’t let him get under her skin but she was already pissed and him yelling at her didn’t help matters.

He braced his body and took the hit, wanting to keep his close distance rather than falling back.
“Once a chained weapon is thrown, it has one path. It can't move elsewhere mid swing but dropping low puts your head in range to the chain and weight or drops you low enough to be pinned. Being brought down means I’m one hand pull from eating your starseed.”
He stood and waited. “Get your sash.”

Ellicott glared at the knight, absently working her foot a little against the ground trying to ease the minor pain from the kick, a biting comment on the tip of her tongue but she held back. She was the one who asked for help. She was the one he was doing the favor for. He was actually doing as she requested, he was teaching her. He had even answered her waspish question. No matter how much she wanted to cut this man down with her words Elli would be the bigger person. She would channel all her anger into her attacks and show him that there was no reason to be such a bloody d**k. Besides he was kind of right, by dropping into the split she did basicly make herself prone and easily pinned by a much larger fighter.
With a huff, her nose practically in the air, the young girl stalked over to where her sash puddled on the ground. She had no idea that even her walk proclaimed her a dancer for anyone who knew what to look for. The posture, the gait, the very way she placed her feet as she gathered up the errant piece of cloth, it all screamed dancer as her body fell back into forms she had been taught since she was old enough to walk.
The sash once more in her hands Ellicott faced Gev and asked, “Now what?” Her british accent rather clear as her annoyance brought it out. A soft whine had her glancing over at Sherlock, who was watching her with attentive eyes. Taking a calming breath the young fighter consciously relaxed her tense form. She mentally took her emotions in hand and gripped them tightly as her eyes drifted back to the knight. “I’m ok Sherlock. I’m fine. Kubaki. Stay there, kubaki.” She repeated the ‘stay’ order in both the butchered swahili he had been trained in and in english. She wouldn’t risk her dog getting hurt because she became irritated with a a*****e.

He watched her, and to others who were less keen to notice, it might have been mistaken for someone interested in her backside, but his eyes moved to her back, buttocks, legs, and feet and back up again. HIs interest was in no part arousing, but picking apart what he could make out of her. He had been friends with Paris who herself was a dancer, and had watched a show. He didn’t remember the other part of his life who might have seen more, but he had noticed little things from the dancers and while he couldn’t go so far as to say the type or the application, something did say a training in grace and balance.
“You can’t summon and desummon your sash like a Negaverse agent can. It won’t come to you since it’s not a main weapon. Your best best is to use it to either force a officer to go in a certain direction to avoid your attack, which means you need to follow through with your own attack right after. That or to bind a officer. So, I want you to bind me.”
He decided for this task, he would not move, and instead moved up his arms in front of him to provide some protection. “Hit me from where you are.”
Had she been practicing targeting?

He wanted to let the little senshi know not to worry, that he wouldn’t let Sherlock get up and interrupt things. She didn’t need to think of them, in their little place on the floor, he had it under control. He didn’t speak up however, not wanting to garner any attention from either of the other figures. He was also watching though, his hold still on Sherlock’s collar although loosely.
Whispering, gently, to the dog that this needed to be. It would make her stronger so she could better protect herself and be more safe - didn’t he want that? As he listened he wondered, for a moment, why the other knight would be asking her to tie him up. He understood tieing someone up, to keep them from further attack, but was this so she’d learn proper strong knots? He didn’t ask but he was curious as he shifted in position on the ground.
Once this was over, and he was on his way home, he’d give Fai a call and let the other know how things had gone. He and the senshi were close and kept in touch as they often spoke to each other, went out, and did various activities. That was someone to invite to the wedding. Thinking about that brought his dark eyes down to his hand. It wasn’t uncommon for him to wear rings, he’d take them off before powering up and then slip them back on, this ring was new though and different. The others all were silver and varied in style whereas this was a white gold and rose gold one and had stones unlike any others he wore. At least most people didn’t notice it, or at least didn’t make a big deal over it. Actually...he still hadn’t told Fai. Looks like a big talk for them tonight over the phone.
After this though...his attention was again on the two.
