About Breeding

Rogue breeding is permitted but is not encouraged.
Permission may be obtained from the Monarch to venture into the roguelands to find a suitable father of cubs. Having permission greatly reduces the suspicion surrounding a pregnancy. Mothers of litters by rogues may be questioned, especially if her cubs resemble any pride male. Slaves can rogue breed, but they are treated with more suspicion than any other because the father's identity may be hidden to spare him a life of slavery. Males can breed outside the pride without consequence however it is suspicious if they start bringing back too many cubs. The pride does not approve of cubnapping, real or imagined. Absolutely no cubs can leave the pride to join an outside father without prior approval. The pride monitors pregnancy well and no lion except the Monarch and Shaman can send a pride member away, even cubs. All possible routes of making it happen may carry consequences (of greater impact for lions with special ranks). If you want to pursue that kind of plot, PM Ecavi to discuss!
Hybrid breeding is not permitted, period.
The pride's belief system is centered around a lion deity and a lion's interaction with a special plant, they are not prepared to deal with other species and so they traditionally do not. This does not mean that other species and hybrids are necessarily feared or hated. Visitors and passers-by are treated civilly though they are not allowed to stay. Lion-hybrids may be accepted to the pride via joining. If fertile, they are the only exception to this rule.
Marriage is not a prerequisite or consequence of breeding.
You do not need to be married to have cubs. When two unmarried lions in the pride have cubs, they are interviewed to assure they are not trying to evade a rank change for the male. This is primarily a concern when the male is a higher rank than the female. While they may be pressured to choose to marry, unmarried lions who breed within the pride are rarely forced to become mates unless they are suspected of actually being in a relationship.
No cubnapping into or out of the pride.
Any lions caught lying about cubs they bring into the pride will be punished. There are always guards on duty, stealing a cub would be very difficult. If you must, PM Ecavi to discuss possible plots.

Former Rogues who roll Lower-middle Class or higher must be members for 1 OOC month before they can apply to breed.
Former Rogues who roll Low Class, as slaves, have stricter requirements to breed. They must meet one of the following requirements:
New slaves must be members for 3 OOC months before they can apply to breed. A new slave with 3 completed pride RPs and 1 OOC month as a member may apply to breed as long as their partner is also a pride member. Slaves may not rogue breed until after the 3 OOC months.
If using RPs to expedite permission to breed as a slave, list them in the notes of the form.
No special requirements. May seek temporary membership to help raise his cubs in the Joining Thread. Any plans to remove cubs prior to adolescence to be with the father should be discussed with Ecavi.
Rogue Mother
Formal approval in breeding thread is not required if the mother is not a member. May leave cubs in the pride with the father using the Joining Thread.
Regular Breeding Form
You only need to apply for permission once per breeding. A couple (or rogue approval) will remain on the list until they successfully produce cubs.
Use the 'notes' section for any information you may want to include about your breeding. Especially useful for anybody seeking to rogue breed- just include a note of if it's planned (mother sought permission) or accidental (mother happened to meet a charming rogue near the border), and if you'll be seeking to send cubs away before adolescence.
Only females require permission to enter Mix & Match, males do not.
You can apply for permission at any time, but the list will be cleared after each Mix & Match month so you will have to reapply in preparation for each event.
A class roll will only be done for a litter after the breeding has been claimed! It is up to the parents if they want it before or after the cubs arrive. This is because it is more fun not to know until you're really ready to start!
Rogue breedings always have a full class roll because of their random nature. Otherwise, you may request a specific class or a reduced roll (typically removing low class).
You will always be encouraged to go for a full roll. Random is more fun!

1 = Full Moon, High Class 2 = Waning Gibbous, Upper-middle Class 3 = Last Quarter, Middle Class 4 = Waning Crescent, Lower-middle Class 5 = New Moon, Low Class 6 = Waxing Crescent, Lower-middle Class 7 = First Quarter, Middle Class 8 = Waxing Gibbous, Upper-middle Class

Minor panic when I almost forgot these two are doubly related but they should be OK. On the Mwezi side, they're third cousins twice removed. On the Ukuucha'wafalme side, they're [half] second cousins.
