Personality: Melody is an energetic friendly child. She loves to meet new people and pokemon. Because of her aspirations to become a Pokemon Professor, she can be a bit of a know it all, spouting random facts about pokemon. History: Ever Since Melody was young she was always surrounded by pokemon thanks to her mother's job of running a small daycare. As she grew, so did her fascination with pokemon and learning all she could about them. Ever since she could remember she idolized Professor Juniper which is where her aspirations came from. She had even managed to get an autograph from the professor.
Mel’s older siblings liked to pick on her for being a smarty pants, but she never let it bother her or dissuade her from the path she had chosen. As her tenth birthday drew ever closer, Melody grew more and more excited. She was excited that she would be able to begin her journey as a pokemon trainer. Unfortunately a year or so before it could happen, her mother and father called it quits.
Without her father around, it became harder and harder for her mother to run the daycare by herself. Mel tried her best to help her mother, as she was the only one still at home. The pair even agreed to push off Mel’s pokemon journey a few years to see if they could get everything back to normal.
Sadly, in the end, her mother had to close up shop and they ended up moving to the Kanto region, in hopes of carrying on her mother's dream. This crushed Melody. For so long she had looked forward to getting her first pokemon from Professor Juniper, and now she no longer had that option.
Thirteen, that was the age her and her mother agreed to. And now, even without her favorite professor, she is excited again.
