Shaline walked out of the portal into The Pillars, right in The Last Vigil. She smiled as she saw the familiar crest flown outside of the manor that was in front of them."Welcome to Ishgard, Artemis. And most of all, Welcome to Eorzea."Shaline turned back to Artemis and smiled as a steward walked over instantly recognizing Shaline. "Lady Shaline. You are home. We weren't expecting you m'lady." But Shaline raised her hand to the Steward."Speak nothing Honoroit. I am simply showing a friend Costa del Sol. Tell father I will come by before returning to the Academy."The young Elezen man towered over Shaline but bowed just to her height. "As you wish m'lady. And what of your uncle. He might tease you if he saw you with a man." Shaline rolled her eyes."I'll deal with him when I have the chance. After all, was it Marie that he had his eyes on for a while."Shaline winked and then turned back to Artemis."Forgive my manners. Artemis, this is Honoroit. He was my Uncle Emmanellain's personal steward up until a few years ago, when my uncle became serious about working. Honoroit, this is Artemis. A friend I recently made at the Academy."Honoroit bowed in formality to Artemis.

Artemis stepped out of the portal and looked around, taking in every detail. 'This is where she's from. It's quite fascinating.' He remained quiet while Shaline talked with the other man. "It's a pleasure to meet you."'All this formality is a little strange to me. This is the world Shaline is from. I can't imagine living a life like this.'

Shaline waved as Honoroit walked away and gave a huge sigh."Being so formal all the time does get a bit tiring. But would you like a tour of Ishgard before we head out or would you like to go straight to Costa del Sol?"Shaline asked as she looked around. It was slow in the pillars today, which wasn't too out of the ordinary. She looked to the position of the sun and it was about mid morning which explained the lack of foot traffic."I could also give you a tour of it when we come back to the portal."As she watched the sky she saw a few dragons fly overhead, spotting some of her friends as they flew over, giving a smile. A baby dragon flew down and circled Artemis before cuddling into him, or at least wanting to cuddle."I failed to mention we also have dragons flying about. Thanks to the work of the Warriors of Light, it is possible this is happening. And it seems that baby has taken a liking to you."Shaline thought that she would not tell him that she is a Warrior of Light at the moment.

Artemis focused his attention on Shaline and nodded. "I wouldn't know anything about it. This kind of formality is not something I'm used to. It would be nice to take a look around first. I'm in no real hurry to get to Costa del Sol." He smiled and looked at the dragons, taking in every detail. Before he could say anything else, he took notice to the baby circling him. He chuckled a little and held it close. "You sure are friendly little one. What should I do now?"

Shaline patted her shoulder."You could let it ride on your shoulder for a while. This little one will eventually fly off."Shaline grabbed his hand after he finished with what he needed to do so she could lead him through the pillars."The Pillars is a big place that you could get lost in, if you aren't careful."She led him all around eventually ending back at the Manor, the little dragon flying off somewhere around the Vault."And that would be just a little bit of Ishgard. The whole place has another level down below, but the heart is in the Pillars."

Artemis smiled and blushed a little when Shaline grabbed his hand. "This place looks amazing. I've never seen anything like it." He watched as the dragon flew away and smiled even more. "Rayne would love to see this place. Once he's free, I'd like to bring him here. There are so many places that I want to take him."

Make sure you keep my hands in yours."She closed her eyes and pictured Costa del Sol. Magic gathered at their feet and raised them off the ground. Fenrir landed right outside the Manor and the guard posted outside made his way over to the small group as Shaline hopped off, helping La'ella. "Lady Shaline. Welcome home. Shall I tell your father of your arrival?" Once again, the formality coming out like it was natural."Yes please. Tell him to meet in the den. This little one needs to be near the fire to warm up. Also, have Clairce look for any of my old clothes that fit me when I was around 16."Shaline waited for Artemis, before they headed inside.

Artemis looked around the room and smiled, finding it to be quite cozy. 'It is a little odd being in a place like this.' Being formal wasn't really something he was used and he was happy that he didn't have to be. Before he could say a word, he took notice to the voice of another male. It didn't take him long to figure out that it was Shaline's father, which was confirmed when she called him such. He couldn't help but chuckle a little at his next words. 'Perhaps I should play along. Never hurts to have a little fun.'"And here I thought she had told you all about me. My name's Artemis. For as long as we have been together, I'm quite shocked that she didn't tell you sooner."

"Well met Artemis. I am Artoirel, this little kitten's father. Of course I joke about you being her husband. My little kitten sure is so cute when she is embarrassed." Of course that made Shaline blush again."You're so mean."Of course that made Artoirel laugh. Shaline then cleared her throat."Anyways. As he said, his name is Artemis. I met him at the school. And this little one..."Shaline walked over to behind Artemis and gently pulled La'ella out. La'ella clung onto Shaline."Her name is La'ella. Artemis and I just rescued her from Costa del Sol where she was a slave to Geruji or whatever his name was. Of course he tried to argue with me, but I stood up to him, right La'ella?"La'ella nodded but clung onto her. "I guess he didn't realize how special my little kitten is." La'ella nodded again."La'ella, this is my father. He won't hurt you."But La'ella clung fast.

Artemis chuckled a little and looked to Shaline. "Aren't you used to this sort of thing Shaline?" For a few minutes, he looked away and seemed to zone out. He never had the chance to joke around with his kid and he wasn't about to mess with Rune. 'Just a little bit longer. Rayne would be happy with anything other than being around Shadira. He would love the chance to be happy.'

Shaline held La'ella as she sat down near the fire and talked to her father about what she is helping Artemis with."Artemis just wants his son free. And I mean to help him with it. We might have a connection but we came here to take a break."Artoirel listened to his daughter. He glanced over to Artemis who seemed to be off in his own world. He looked back to his daughter. "I'm all too familiar with son's out of reach...well in my case a brother. You know him well little kitten." Shaline nodded."Uncle Haurchefant, right?"Artoirel nodded. "Artemis, you have the backing of House of Fortemps. Not just through my daughter, but if you need anything, even if it is just an ear to listen, well a man's ear, please feel free to return. And I can give my personal approval that my daughter will do all she can to help you. You just have to rely on her."
