Queens is the easternmost and largest in area of the five boroughs of New York City. It is geographically adjacent to the borough of Brooklyn at the southwestern end of Long Island, and to Nassau County further east on Long Island; in addition, Queens shares water borders with the boroughs of Manhattan and the Bronx. The borough has diverse housing, ranging from high-rise apartment buildings in the urban areas of western and central Queens, such as Jackson Heights, Flushing, Astoria, and Long Island City, to suburban neighborhoods in the eastern part of the borough such as Little Neck, Douglaston, and Bayside.

Five days had passed since Kozi had last been on Staten, laying low as it were so as not to draw too much attention to the area. However, on a night like tonight, it would still be too hot to go back. She hoofed it most of the way through the neighborhood after getting off a bus with a hat on her head, her uniform slung over her back in a backpack and lots of bad intentions plaguing her mind. Along the way, while listening to a very upbeat song about surprising people, she happened to see a street performer playing the drums with some pots and pans. Unconsciously she started tapping her hands on the seat in front of her rhythmically. So now she could drum? Lovely, if a little redundant and somewhat useless considering what she was out to do.

Still, now strutting in her costume, staying wide of street lights to stay concealed in the night, she was still tapping her fingers against her well defined hips. The home, as predicted, wasn't empty, which she realized upon getting close and seeing pitch darkness in all but two windows. She clapped her hands together, rubbing them as she observed what she could from the outside. Cameras lining the roof, which either meant someone was watching from the inside, or that every moment would be recorded for later use when she eventually escaped with the man's jewels. This man, a doctor, would likely have sprung for both considering his father 's money was likely of no object. That meant guards. Vines lined the side of the building she was on, with a patio on the side of the house sporting would looked like stable, solid footing. The angle the cameras were at likely didn't see the patio, and there was a window she could like simply slide open, since rich people tended not to lock their windows. Would that set off an alarm though? She circled the building from moderately far away, out of range of being detected hopefully, looking for a way to tell if there was an alarm. Sure enough, gray box with a combination lock on it. She watched for her moment, when there had to be a blind spot in the rotating cameras. Her mad dash put her on the box just in time to not be caught, and removed her lock picks from her hair. She turned the lock upside down, seeing the keyhole on the back. She would really need to start bringing bolt cutters, because picking locks was pretty easy but every lock was different. This one took her two minutes to break into, and when it opened she was highly annoyed. Slow. She kept the lock, closing it after she took it off the box for an idea she would have later on. She opened the box, surprised to see it was a digital setup. A tablet with a couple of buttons. She pressed the screen, lighting it up as she looked up the make and model on the burner she had acquired for the night. She loved how absurdly easy it was to pick those things up. She was sure to go to different parts of NY everytime she bought one. This tablet was a somewhat generic one, and the security company wasn't known for very fast responses. She had only ever tried her hand at hacking a few times, learning innately which buttons on her keyboard to press to bypass her lockscreen when she'd been too drunk to remember her password, or unlocking someone's phone that she had stolen in class for fun.

This was a lot different, but not so much. She attempted to log in once, with the system noting her failure as one of three chances before authorities were notified. A small, guiding force guided her button presses to put the machine in a somewhat factory setting. She pressed the button that would turn off the camera's recording setting, in case there were more, and then turned off the silent and noise alarms for 30 minutes. PLenty of time. She closed the box, and then put the lock in her pocket as she walked around to where the patio was. A quick heave put her up on top of it, and she tried the window. To her surprise... it was locked. No matter. She punched a hole through it, a curt, fast punch like she'd watched in Never Back Down 2, making a small hole and barely any noise. The leather of her suit and gloves protected her hand as she slid the slider for the lock around to open, then allowed a very limber and lithe body to roll in without a sound. She waited, making sure she didn't hear anyone, before she walked around to the hallway. At one end of the hallway, she saw a door open with light flashing through it, and at the other, the bathroom. Slowly but deliberately she moved into the bathroom, looking around there first for any valuables. All she saw was a huge vanity mirror, and lots of make up. Finding the most expensive looking stick of make up she could, she drew a very large, very deep red handprint, took a picture of it, and then uploaded it to Parahumans online. Calling card of Kozi the Thief.

Down the hall she trotted, peeking into the room with the light. Sleeping security guards were her favorite kind. She slid in behind him quietly, calling on the knowledge of how to walk without making a sound in 3 inch heels, and took his handcuffs. A few moments and a thud later, he was truly unconscious and handcuffed to the desk where his monitors were around it's leg. She closed the door and sat on the desk, with 25 minutes of time. She put the combination lock in her pocket up to her ear, spinning it as she figured out how to open safes by ear. It took her a bit to make out the sounds, but with her power guiding her she very quickly was able to figure it out, somewhat. It clicked open, and she smiled. Not so difficult at all. She walked to the room farthest around the corner, one with large double doors, and opened it. Sure enough, there she was. THe wife sleeping in her bed while her husband was at some medical conference. She was quiet and deliberate as she moved through the room, taking things off of walls, then putting them back when she found that was she was looking for wasn't there. On his desk, on the opposite side of the bed, there was a stethoscope. Vanity was a sin. She intended to punish him for it. The other side of the room bore no fruit. She spied a closet, deciding to give it a look. She slid inside, then closed the door, using a flashlight to find what she was looking for, among shoes too small for her feet and close too small for her body. There, behind hanging dresses, was the safe. She put the stethoscope in one ear, started spinning the lock slowly to not make too much noise. If that woman woke up, she'd have to put her back to sleep. That did not sound fun. With three minutes before the alarm was back on, she finally opened the safe. The surprise inside was... substantial. With the burner, she recorded herself taking the money, loading it into the backpack on her back, and then the process of using the lipstick to leave a red handprint inside. Based on the dust on the outside of the safe, this thing didn't get opened a whole lot... but that made it even better to her. She left the phone in the safe this time, feeling herself a bit more than she had been. At least she hadn't touched it without gloves on. She also made sure to break it in half before she put it in there. She closed it, spun the lock, then slowly walked out of the room. She leaped over the banister tot he first floor from the second, landing safely below. Two minutes, 30 seconds. She ran to the garage through the kitchen, always through the kitchen, stoppping to grab the keyes hanging ont he wall. She pressed the unlock button, seeing the large truck was the vehicle which responded, and loaded up. She was out the garage with a mere twenty seconds to spare. Guy should have more than one guard but whatever. by the time he woke up to call the cops, she was long gone, car safely ina garage being chopped. [Targeted B&E, Shop and Chop]

WARHOUND xxxx DOGDAD

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Warhound entered the area and paused briefly when his phone buzzed to let him know he had a new message. Pulling it out, he began to walk. Dividing his attention between reading, replying and making sure he had eyes on his surroundings. The last thing he needed was getting blind sided by some yahoo out to make a name for himself because he was distracted with this. Once the message was sent, he pressed the button on the side of his Government issued cell phone to lock it and slid it back into a pocket, bringing his attention firmly and fully back onto his surroundings.

As he moved through the area, the large man kept to the back alleys and such as best he could. It was difficult for someone as large as he was to keep out of sight entirely, especially when he was dressed in his Cape outfit as he was, but he tried to remain discrete. He knew that when petty crime tended to happen, it would do so where no one would see it. Criminals tended to be cowardly and superstitious so sticking to the dark areas of the city would fit them just right. It also happened to fit him just right too. Less people around to see what he would do to them if it came down to a fight. Besides, if something did happen out in the street, he'd no doubt learn of it quickly enough and go to handle it. He had been walking for what felt like forever when he heard a noise. What sounded like a loud crashing sound! Adrenaline began pumping, he took off at high speed in the direction of where the noise came from. Only to find...Nothing. At least in his eyes anyway. What looked to be the remnants of a fish tank having been dropped from height, an open window several floors up and a rather sheepish looking overweight man leaning out of the window. Warhound glared at him through his mask, the man slowly and meekly backing up into his house again. With a huff, the hero checked his phone once more. Two solid hours and nothing. Deciding he wasn't going to be getting any action today, he shoved the phone back in his pocket and made his way out of the area.

Should've joined the Wardens. But I'm glad you're alright and off the streets. I was going to come hunt you down if you didn't come back to make sure. I'm hunting right now but I'll get back to you. Be safe.

Eiffel sat on the cool bench, slightly uncomfortable in this costume that he has yet to get used to wearing. The abundance of belts rattling whenever he shifted his legs. He pressed his hand against his mask, pushing it further up his face.

He calmed himself and slowed his breathing. He needed to give this contact a good first meeting if he wanted to get some jobs from them, and he needed the money badly. He pulled out his phone to distract himself, and let himself lose focus for a moment. His eyes glanced to the clock in the corner of the screen, 9:00 pm, they should arrive any minute now.

Sliding the phone into his pocket he looked up to the crowd. It was thinning out around this hour as families made their way home. Those who were left were mostly around his age, loitering around and enjoying their night.

"Where are you..." He spoke to himself, mumbling the words as his eyes scanned for the woman who was going to contact him.

A beautiful night, the moon was shining with splendor, not an ounce of humility in it. I kinda angered Luke in a way, it was taking all the attention from the other shiny objects up there and it also reminded him of the night he lost his family in fire. Nothing he could have done that night but now he could save anyone from a fire, God played a sick joke on him and so now he was about to play games with his beloved humans in return, was he selfish for doing this? Yes. Did he care? Not an ounce.

Looking at the phone sin his hands he would quickly start typing a text. "We still for the party?" Quickly pressing the send button, hoping Kozi would reply quite fast. He did not want to make it seem suspicious, eyes where everywhere these days, never knowing who was watching was always a problem now. Leaning into a wall and waiting for the reply to come to him, he had no idea what kind of job she had in mind for them but what Luke did know was that he had someone in mind that could most likely help them, looking through his contacts he would find his favorite choice. A beautiful girl by the name of Yavanna. "I might have something for us to do. Want to meet up, I'm in queens." Quickly sending the text and putting his phone back in his pocket. Leaning on the wall behind him and stating at the moon as he waited for the two replies.

Lilith, during the day at around noon, had a few things she wanted to do. First of all, she successfully pickpocketed just enough funds from people on the streets to pay for a s**t ton of radios and walky talkies from a few different electronic stores across the city. Around 3pm, she had gotten everything she wanted, and went to her house, within queens, to learn how to build something that could Jam cameras and halt communications within a building for a set amount of time. It took her a few hours of self teaching, with her power of course, but by the end of the period she had accidentally jammed up both her wifi and that of everyone in the building. On top of that her phone was receiving no signal, all from something about the size of a normal radio with some nobs and the like. It didn't, however, shut down the closed network between her phone and her computer. Looked like her landline, barely used as it was, was out too however. Interesting. It was 8:30, no sign of Liana yet. She changed out of her normal people clothing, and loaded her backpack with the radio, jammer... whatever, making sure it was off before she did so. She sent a text to Joker, and was out the door.

Joker, meet me in Queens. he'd let him know. He sent a location, and then sent him a picture of a red hand which she promptly deleted from her phone, and her own message thread. He was to meet them in costume.

Twas dark out now, and the girl had set her phone to vibrate, fully expecting a text message from Lilac. She spotted him, sitting on a bench in a costume comprised of lots of belts and a mask. Anonymous enough, but still conspicuous. She approached quietly, from behind him, and sat her bag down on the bench, intending to see how easily startled he was. "You Jungler, I assume. They call me Kozi," she offered, looking down on him with judgemental eyes that were barely visible against the dark of the night. She knew it was him, the Red Hand had informed her of his looks, what to expect on sight even if she had no idea what he could do. That's where the night might get complicated. "Ok, I'll make this quick. You're going through initation, and we've already begun. I got a couple of friends and another new girl I can trust on their way here now. Tonight, we rob a bank." she crossed her arms, waiting for Joker to show up with his friend maybe, and deciding to text Lilac.

Lilac, sending you my location. Show up in costume. Im auditioning you into the red hand. Word of advice, I looked it up online. You'll likely find the most rats in the subway. Make a quick stop for friends? We will need them. Don't reply btw. I have an app through the redhand that encrypts my messages. Oh, and bring my laptop if you stop at home, that or a stethoscope. Gonna do some high profile s**t tonight. That was it, all she had to say about that. She looked to Jungler. "So, Jungler. What exactly... do you do?"

Eiffel was startled by how this woman had gotten the jump on him.

Parahuman stealth maybe?

Switching on his power he looked at what her parahuman ability did.

Currently feels like a lower rank power, with grinding could gain strength at an incredible rate. Power enhances learning skills that she observes to a great degree, that's how she knows how to be incredibly stealthy. Power does not do anything beyond learning what she can watch however. Thank god.

A bank robbery was achievable with his skill set. He would hopefully make good bank from this initiation, maybe he'd actually have enough for food after he payed off his rent. But before that he'd have to prove his value.

"I have three powers. Number one? I can fly at up to fifteen miles per hour. Number two? I turn invisible when no one is looking at me. And number three? I can tell you the power of any parahuman I see. Which means I don't need you to tell me that you can learn to do anything that you watch another person do. Just look at the right people and you can learn any martial art, talent, and skill. Nice power for a thief I guess."

He pauses in his ramble explaining his powers to observe her reaction, and allow her space to respond.

Although he should make one thing clear first...

"I should make one thing clear, before I go on this heist with your team. I'm not a thief. I'm joining the red hand because you're who people go to for information on a target. So please don't make my use as a tagalong mook too frequent?"

Jungler had a damn interesting power, and she had to actively not drop her mouth when he told her what her own power was. "Man," she began bending over the bench, a full ninety degrees with a small arch in her back as she looked over him. "That's actually an incredible skillset you have for recon. No onder the Reds want someone like you. Reast assured, however, that this isn't just a bank robbery. Turns out some bigwig uses a secrutiy deposit box inside of the vault to store valuable information. This mission is doubley importante.
To our employers, and to me. After this, we can see about getting you less... grunty work. Be aware, Warden intervention is very likely. At any rate, pleasure to make your acquaintance."
Then something he said struck her. "And my power makes me the best thief in the world, not considering literal teleporters or people who can go without being seen."

Jungler thought it prudent not to mention the new warden who could turn invisible and teleport. Although he did hope that Micky would show up to stop them, as he would love to knock around his head. Not to mention his inflated ego. Ever since the group fell apart he'd been pissed off at Micky. He knew that if he hadn't left for the wardens, Crow wouldn't have gone to toybox.

"I'd be up for knocking around some heads, should it come to that."

He had a gut feeling that maybe this bigwig's 'doubley impotante' files was something more, but he wasn't sure yet. Maybe he could just ask and see how she answers? He felt his phone rumble, probably a text from Janet, but he ignored it and went on.

"Any chance I get to find out what is so important about said information? Or is that a senior-members only deal?"

He wanted to tell himself that he'd walk away if this was too risky for the reward, but he couldn't. He wanted- No. He needed to be in a team; almost more than he needed the paycheck they gave.

It had been a relatively normal day for a homeless thief like her. She had been busy trimming herself up after playing some lusting barfly for a clean shower after a week of sleeping on the park bench. A flick of her wrist and he was off with his fantasy while she cleaned herself and sampled some of his fine drinks. When the morning sun awakened from the cold night, the mistress of the night had taken her things and moved on back to roaming the streets. Regardless of her excursions, she always kept a smartphone close by her. It had been a present from a person she had met before, promising her opportunities of a life time if she answered his call. While she was skeptical about it first, Yavanna eventually warmed up to the fact that she would probably be needing him sometime soon. After a good year or so of living on the streets, you tended to do anything to survive. It was just how things were. Your world was a ladder made out of the bones of the lost. You either climbed your way up and got rid of those around you to secure that ascent or you hesitated and died like many others before you. Life on the streets was a tough world. A world she had known since she first came to this country.

She had been lying on one of the benchs with her eyes gazing up at the stars before she heard her smartphone go off. Digging around in her clothing, she pulled it out just in time to be greeted with a message from the boy she had run into before. Joker was his name. It was something about having one of those opportunities that he had talked about along with his location. A quick text back would suffice for this little excursion she was about to go on. I'm on my way. It was short and sweet not out of choice, but because she still had some amount of skill in fluent English. It was a side effect after not having much in terms of education aside form the scraps people sometimes gave you out of pity. After the text was sent, she sat up and began the long walk towards Queens while passing by the nightly crowd of night works, musicians, people waiting for their food in the many restaurants, that sort of thing.

It was about ten minutes or so until she came across the boy from before as she gave him a nod and crossed her arms underneath her chest. "We meet again." She said while moving beside him and looking at the many people darting across the streets of the city. "What kind of fun are we in for tonight? Anything big?" She asked him in a distant tone. They were still pretty new and she had always been somewhat careful around people like him. Nothing personal, just her paranoia and all at work. It was always interesting to work with shady people like this. See new people, go to places where most don't get to see, maybe do some illegal stuff. Maybe money would be obtained and she could get some for herself for a change.

As his hone vibrated inside his pocket he would receive the message from Kozi, apparently the "party" was still happening. The only reply Luke had at this point was a sigh, he knew this was most likely be more trouble than he was bargaining for, it always was, he was lucky on getting unlucky after all. I guess he was in need of a change, lucky him he carried most of his stuff in a backpack because of all the moving around so it was no big deal. Just before he would move away from his spot he heard the sweet melody of an exotic accent, it was the other one he had messaged. "And so we do meet again." He would say slightly taking a bow, not out of respect but somewhat out of a joke. "Pretty sure you could get something big whenever you want. Buuuuuut to answer your question I do not know what are doing tonight." He would say looking around them. "What I do know is that we will need to change into our costumes... I won't peek so do not worry." He would say with a smile while he headed for a nearby alley. Quickly coming back out in his full costume and a mask, it was super cliche but it was what he had. "We'll be heading out to meeting spot once you're ready." He was not really sure if she would change at all. Their last meeting had been very brief but one could say Luke did enjoy her presence otherwise he would have not called her for another job, and most of all she did not ask many questions from what he could see. Luke did not much about her past and vice-versa so they were the somewhat perfect working partners in the side of crime. Quickly pulling out his phone Luke would text Kozi again. "We'll be there soon enough."

"You'll spend a lot of time, with the Red Hand specifically, stealing info or things from people without knowing why, or specifically what. It's easier if you don't ask if they don't tell usually." She spoke harshly then, wanting the position they were in to be clear. "If you don't like taking your chances, then maybe you shoulda joined the wards." A message popped up from Joker, and she smiled once more. Glad to hear it. Take side streets and allyways, avoid cameras where you can. she typed up. She looked back to jungler, answering him even though she had made it a point to let him know that the thieves guild thrives on secrecy. "Whatever it is, they didn't tell me. Or anyone else. He leaned back and closed his eyes. Was he really about to do this?

Yes he was

He needed to make a few preparations first though. He pulled out his phone and read the text from Janet. I changed my mind, can I still come with? He considered the response. Her power would be of good use, and she can't just stay inside all the time... We're going to be pulling a heist on a bank. I'm still where I said I'd be but we'll be leaving soon. If you're sure that you want to join in, fly over here now and I will see if you are allowed. A few seconds passed and he got his response I'll be there in 4 mins

"Is it okay if I bring a plus one? She isn't a fan of robbery, but it seems that she's turned around to the idea."

He felt afraid of what Janet might do tonight. What if she got hurt? He couldn't turn her away, so his best chance would be to just keep an eye on her whenever he could.

All that was left now for him is to wait.

Kozi's laptop was inside her pack which this time was secured to her. The girl was keeping pace with a song, kicking and pushing in rhythm to propel her forward. Crap, she would definitely be late. Her first stop had been the subway - dutifully listening to Lilith's suggestion - and picking up a number of her furry little friends for the trip to the address on her phone. Show up in costume! she had been urged, though it seemed that Lilith may have forgotten that her costume didn't yet exist. So she nabbed an extra set of Lilith's compensating the shorter legs with high strapped boots. With the mask in place she rolled up to the entry way. With forty three rats falling in to the building - out of sight of course - Liana quickly found Lilith and some stranger alone. There was no formal introduction or dramatic entrance. "Sorry, saw a hot dog cart in dire need of raiding." Through the mask she winked at her girl, a smirk clear on her face. She was nervous again and couldn't help but straight up stare at the green haired individual literally wearing a cape. Her lip twitched but she held the laugh in and started word vomiting. "I uh, am not totally sure how these cape meetings go. Do we just stare mysteriously at each other until the other guy reveals his powers or what?" Liana was drumming her fingers nervously against herself as she stood legs spread, arms bent at the elbow and hands splayed against her hips.

A faint smile

"You'd be surprised in this city. Not many big opportunities for a small name thief but at least I can scam some sucker out of a meal." She said while he went on about they would need a quick change before having their fun. It had been a while since she stepped into her "fun time" clothes. She could finally stretch her wings a bit and have some fun with a couple of people and get paid for it., What was not to love? "Please." Yavanna said, chuckling to herself at Luke's comment. "I could put you in a coma nude without even using my powers." She quipped back while moving into an alleyway nearby Luke's. She didn't trust him so much to change in the exact same place as she did but it was getting there. Maybe soon they could actually sit down and talk one of these days. Her costume wasn't anything flashy or too intricate. just a couple of robes that looked prehistoric by today's standards. They were tailored to appear as they were stylized back in the ancient times of her people. While not much for disguising her identity, when you had her gifts, it rarely mattered what you looked like at any given time. Once she finished dressing, Yavanna stepped out and gave Luke's cape look a glance. "Simple. Looks good on you." It was an attempt at a compliment that was almost drenched in sarcasm but she was working on it. "Ready whenever you are. Let's go cause some mischief."
