Deep within were kingdom off the beaten path lays a tavern ready and willing to serve all passing patrons, should they have the coin. Inside lay a myriad of people of all races and sizes. They chatter is loud and a good portion of them are rather rowdy in their merrymaking. The tavern as a great number of drinks and even a cook in the back to make meals for those weary travelers.

...Don't fear death if it comes...

The sound of thunder our unrelenting rain howled outside the tavern. The band of patrons enjoying the warmth of fire and liquor alike when suddenly the doors of the tavern creaked open and a behemoth of a man broke the threshold and entered. The board beneath his feat creaking out in pain at the weight they suddenly had to bare. This newcomers pale icy eyes glanced around gazing upon the patrons as their silence upon his entry soon faded into a cacophony of howling and merrymaking. The giant walked to the tavern bar and pulled over a barrel choosing to sit upon it rather than the flimsy stools the others used.

Upon sitting he removed the hulking axe upon his back and set it next to him leaning it against the bar. The thing must have weighed thirty or so pounds as the deep sound it made upon the floor resonating outward. "Mead..." was the only words that escaped his lips, the tone so deep had he not spoken it softly the word would have boomed louder than the storm outside. Despite being out in the storm the only thing wet was white fur cloak upon his back. It dripped upon the floor but the newcomer seemed unconcerned with something so trivial. He sat waiting his mammoth arms resting atop the bar hands open awaiting his flagon of mead to arrive.

"Know that the songs of the war..."

The rain. What better thing was there than the rain? The rough pounding of the drops around her helped her drown out some of her thoughts. They helped her focus, helped her relax. She paid no attention to the extra weight on her shoulders as it screamed and kicked against her. She was somewhat tired from all her days of traveling and hunting so needed some manner of respite. She let out a small sigh as she moved along, her footsteps digging into the softened Earth. She looked around for a bit as she walked through the country side with her claim on her shoulders.

Eventually however he eyes would rest upon a small tavern. Thankful for this discovery the large cow would move forward, walking with a purpose until she hit the door. She raised her arm and brought it down implanting something into the ground as she opened the door. With it open she picked it up and moved inside. It smelled old, dirty, and disgusting...just like she hoped. It meant it was a real Tavern. The types inside stared for a moment at the horned she-beast. There was a small jingle from around her neck before she continued forward towards the bar.

The woman stood there for a moment before she buried the object in the counter again, a large metal axe. She reached behind her pulling a table close to the bar to serve as her chair much to the chagrin of the people drinking there. She set down her prize, a large struggling boar. With a quick strike she seemed to render it inert. She sighed "Beer." she stated "Lots of it." she said as the bartender got her the biggest mug he could. She wasted no time downing it "Oishii~!" she mused and simply ordered more and sat there, scarred body and all as she drank with little care despite the looks she got.

The flagon found itself in its rightful place after what seemed like an eternity. Baldur immediately wrapped his hands around it and downed it in what appeared to be a single gulp. He sighed, agitation leaving with it obviously displeased with how little that was. It barely wet his whistle much less quenched his incredulous thirst. He reached into his cloak and withdrew a handful of gold coins setting it down upon the bar. "Wheel a barrel over here. That should keep me occupied for a bit." Baldur uttered in a deep coarse tone as the barkeep quickly scooped up the compensation and ran off. A few seconds later him and two others dragged out a barrel and set attempted to hoist it up on the bar. Baldur shook his head and scooped the barrel up immediately setting it next to him like it was a simple stone.

Just as he refilled his cup the door opened and Baldur turned to see a hulking woman with an axe in hand and boar atop her shoulders. The man smirked beneath his beard stroking it excited by this newcomer. She pulled up a seat not too far from him and dragged a table over like it was nothing before dropping the beast upon it. As she requested beer and immediately consumed it Baldur shook his head that smirk growing into a grin. He lifted his axe and slipped it into the latch on his back before scooping up his barrel of mead and his seat moving it over to Saho. The patrons had cleared out intimidated by the woman and Baldur too their presence likely very imposing. Though Baldur cared not, Saho appeared to a woman after his own heart and he had to see just how perfect this woman was.

He set his seat down to her right and the barrel of mead upon the bar on his side before slipping the axe out and setting it down leaning it against the bar by his left hand indicating which he preferred to fight with. "What's an amazing woman like you doing in a shithole like this?" He said about as light a tone as he could muster. Despite that it was still a very deep voice a side effect of his unusual heritage. His icy eyes scanned her up and down making no attempt to conceal what he was doing. He smiled upon finishing his meticulous inspection and downed another cup of mead going to refill it while looking upon her. "Don't suppose you're interested in sharing that hog? I'll share my mead with you if you wish." He said attempting to sweeten the deal. That creature was mighty large and he was sure it would be quite delectable over a spit. He was obviously intrigued.

If Saho bothered to pay him any mind she'd notice he smelled of blood and earth. His body was scarred like hers and in addition his hands were calloused, hardened by battle and manual labor. He had a good thick beard and although tangled it was free of food, though a few drops of mead now clung to it. While awaiting her response he consumed another cup and began filling himself a fourth, though by the end of the night he was sure he'd lose count.

"Know that the songs of the war..."

The wild woman kept focused as she ordered mug after mug of beer to state her mighty thirst. People were amazed by how she put it away, and hardly seemed to simply pass out. She was paying no mind to any soul nearby she just wanted to drink, and then get home and skin her meal meal. The woman's collar would ring from time to time with her movements. She hardly noticed some people clearing out to avoid rowdy giants.

When the man spoke to her she slammed down her mug and cracked her neck "Pffft, this s**t hole is the only place in miles that sells proper drink!" she said "Low quality garbage it is, but it works." she spoke her accent rather apparent. Rough. Her voice was very mature, like a stern mothers not quite as loud but betraying none of her strength and authority. It was very clear from the way she spoke what she was all about, and that was apparently. When the man asked about her hog as waved her tail, the little red tuft easy to spot "Pffft if you wanted a hog you should have gone out and hunted one." she replied with almost no hesitation.

She looked at him "You are a big burly man it should be no problem. Gotta earn what you eat." she said shaking her burning mane, it was clear she wasn't going to share easily. She was in no way the type unless it was someone she knew and cared for rather than random bar giant.

As she mentioned this place being a shithole the giant nodded. Seeing her drinking more than him he smirked before ripping the lid off the barrel and within a few moments consumed the whole thing before dropping the husk and turning to her as she mentioned the fact that he had to earn what he would eat. Sounded like a challenge and if there was one thing Baldur couldn't turn down it was a challenge. He lifts his right arm setting it up on the bar his hand open. "Let me earn it." He said looking to her a smile on his face. She was large and he had no doubt she was strong but Baldur had yet to meet anyone but a giant who was stronger than him.

"I win I get the hog, you win I'll buy you a barrel to go along with it." He said laying down the prize. Though something told him that her pride would be enough. The mead was starting to hit him a bit and as such he could feel his restraint leaving him. His neck tilted to either direction and a symphony of cracks and pops rang out. He was excited, she had to be strong. He just wanted to see how strong. He was going to go all out if she accepted and if she didn't well he would not be deterred now. He could tell she was a warrior and Baldur always wanted to know how he measured up. Despite the haze he somehow felt clear his mind sharp with anticipation he wanted this he wanted to beat her he wanted to see the strength that this beast possessed and he would not be deterred now.

The wild woman kept her eyes on the giant as he seemed to want to earn it. The woman put her mug down, her eyes kept upon the figure as she spoke of earning it. It seems he really wanted it for sue. Saho let out a small chuckle as she shook her slightly damp mane "A warrior true." she spoke a slight buzz in her head. She narrowed her eyes "Lets get a moooove on." she said. She was basically agreeing to his challenge at this point, so there was no need to delay this contest any further.

She lightly shifted in her seat s she took grip of her hand, her toned muscle and scars apparent. Her grip was great aswell, a strong hand with which to hold the oversized axe she used in combat with other warriors. She stared into his eyes "I hope you are ready to taste defeat big man. I'm going to show you that this cow is no simple farm animal." she growled as she waited to begin, but her strength was already apparent.

She smiled as began the epic struggle of muscle and willpower. Her eyes lit up with a will that was timeless, and eternal, a warriors stare. She knew this man had it and she had no intention of losing here even over such a simple matter.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rain, of course it was rain. Regardless of her effective parasoul clutched in her hands, Mei Lin hated rain with a firey passion. It was something so innocent, so natural in the ways of the world, and yet as she trudged along the dirty path she wanted to slither her small hands over flesh and break bones. There was not much in the world that would bring out such atrocity in the small girl, but where she hailed it very rarely rained. On top of it, however, was the fact her underling had escaped her. Well, escaped was probably not the best term, but he did leave- as he said he would- when the chance arose. Drinking was not one of Mei's strong suits, though she enjoyed letting go once in awhile, but eating was sounding rather good at the moment.

Her stomach growled for the umpteenth time as her cornflower blue optics spied a tavern coming up on the side of the road. Her mouth began salivating as she smelled cook meat even through the rain, and she tore off into the direction of the large place without another care. Breaking into the doors, scaring a few customers that were sitting close to the door, Mei's mood seemed to lighten immediately.

Without even a second glance around her, the small girl dodged tables and patrons to get to the bar. Slamming down coin, she cried, "What can this get me!"

She accepted his trial picking up the gauntlet he had thrown down. It brought a smile to his face that could be clearly seen through his now wet beard it soaked with the remnants of the mead he had just consumed. She took his hand and her coarse battle hardened hand met it his own. As their rough skin touched it only further solidified this notion. She was earning his respect without much effort on her part. Though for Baldur he deemed most warrior worthy. She so far fit that bill to a T. Her grip tightened with his their reflexes synchronized perfectly and he smirked at the grip strength that came along with it. "I can already tell this shall be a battle to remember." He said in anticipation. The barkeep had cleared off all mugs and breakable objects upon the bar too frightened to request they halt and knowing the likelihood of damage with two colossal forces on the cusp of collision.

Then without word or sound it began. An unstoppable force met an immovable object, two monstrous powers collided with a force so great the very ground began to shake. The bar and floor boards supporting it began to creak and wail in protest as Baldurs muscle flexed and his brow furrowed. "You're.... incredible..." He grunted staring her dead in the eyes his conviction unwavering at this moment. He would not yield he could not yield, he did not know her life or the struggles she faced but he knew the adversity he had overcome to become the man he was. He would not concede, his arm would break before he let it touch the bar top.

His arm was trembling not with fatigue but excitement. He gripped the bottom of the bar with his other hand to stabilize himself but within moments he snapped a chunk of it off prompting the barkeep to gasp protest at the damage. Baldur couldn't take the time or effort to apologize he discarded the broken piece without hesitation and immediately planted his hand against the side of the bar needing the stabilization to prevent from being flipped. It seemed like the two would be locked her in an eternity despite his force and might there arms were trading positions each one wavering a bit before regaining the lost ground. For once in his life he had found someone who backed up their bold talk. Now that he had discovered such a mighty foe he had to vanquish it. He would have her, he would take this bull errr cow by the horns one way or another.

The tender looked at the little woman who wandered into the spot. Taking his eyes off the match going on he looked at her "Uhm, we have some plates going out. Honestly, this place might not have a lot of people in it in a moment so take whatever...." the man sounded dejected knowing he could not stop what was about to happen with the two titans at the bar

Power. This man had it in spades and she could respect that. She chuckled "These are the hands of a man who knows true conflict. I can respect this." she growled as she grappled with the giant across from her. The wood below them was even being disturbed by the pressure they were placing on the old, weakened wood. Saho was not about to bend but she could not lie, this man had a great power in his body that allowed him to compete, or perhaps even surpass her. She was not making this easy however as she gritted her teeth together.

Saho's sculpted, but scarred body was clearly being pushed to a good pace as she held her station. It had been some time since she had found this manner of ability, since the wars pass she had been without real challenge. Her body missed this sensation, different from more personal matters confined, or normally confined to private matters this was exhilarating. She loved it "A good warrior indeed." she groaned out Between them their force would be enough to cow even the most raving mad orcish hordes, neither was moving, at least not at first, but as they went Saho would be weakened a bit. Saho was powerful, but her might was not pure power. It was frustrating none-the-less. The wind was howling, the atmosphere was heavy this was a sight to behold. Were they less men, their bones would have shattered, were they really enemies in this moment...this battle would be legend.

She could tell though, she could lose. She was not used to it, but the smile on her face said it all. This moments was perfect.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mei's parasoul twirled in her hands before her face and eyes grew alight with wonder. All you can eat; did he really say it's all you can eat? Her mind was growing frantic, making the girl jump over and onto the bar to gobble up the plates that had just escaped the kitchen. She almost choked once or twice in her mad dash to eat, and while she kneeled at the bar, taking hulking chunks out of meats and drinking water to wash it all down, her orange-red locks swayed slightly as she turned her head.

She wore slippers, of sorts, instead of real shoes and when she felt the reverberation in the wood that indicated some type of damage had been done, she looked to her right. Continuing to scarf down her food, Mei watched intently as her stupid charge was having an arm wrestling match with a woman. They seemed to be at a stalemate, though Mei wondered if her tiny form could take the woman down seeing as she could the giant, and as she watched she continued to let her hand wander towards plate after plate. It was as if the barkeep would be out of a bar soon, seeing as the duo were about to tear the heavily polyurethane-coated wood of the bar in two, and the girl was about to eat him under.

Continuing to watch, Mei's muscles rippled underneath her shirt, and she wondered how long it'd be until the winner was declared. Either individuals were large, that was obvious, but that didn't always directly attribute to strength. The fallen girl would go back and forth in her mind, giggling to herself as she imagined one of their arms tearing in two with the force of the other. Her happy disposition did not seem to change as she allowed her legs to part so that either limb was dangling from opposite sides of the bar, and she bobbed her head back and forth. Of course she was still eating, and her cornflower blue orbs watched intently. Who would win: a fallen or a bovine?

...Don't fear death if it comes...

If Baldur had not become fallen he would likely try to marry this woman. For the first time in memory he met someone who not only caused him to break a sweat but rivaled his own strength. Not just physically but mentally, the way she fought against him the fire in her eyes the smile upon her face all of these and more were waving flags that this woman was the kind of creature Baldur had been searching for. "That's.... not.... all.. these hands... know...." Baldur said his smile growing playful momentarily flirting with the bovine for just a moment before immediately zeroing back in on the task at hand. The bar itself had begun the crack and Baldur could hear the faint cries of the bartender but at the moment he was too enthralled to pay any mind to what was going on. In fact he was so focused he didn't even notice his superior enter and begin eating all the food.

They had been going back and forth for some time now but the game was nearing its conclusion. Thankfully for Baldur this was a contest of pure strength and a giant was unrivaled in that department. He had been steadily gaining ground on her and could feel her perfect physique beginning to weaken. His relentless assault was paying off and despite his own strength starting to dwindle he couldn't stop. Then she complimented him, outright giving him what was arguably the greatest praise he could. It ignited a fire deep within him, a spark that set his very being ablaze. The intensity in those haunting blue eyes suddenly grew about ten fold as the veins on his left arm suddenly bulged every fiber of his being simultaneously pushing towards victory. Inch by inch he took ground and second by second his arm moved over hers the shadow growing out over the bar only serving to further indicate his inevitable victory.

Then it happened with a final push, a surge of adrenaline, desire, and god like strength her arm slammed into the bar with such force that it shattered the top of the bar and broke the entire structure in two. Baldur released her arm and rose triumphant, surging with victory. Beads of sweat trailed down his brow but that ear to ear smile said it all. "HEH HA!" He bellowed thrusting his arm up in a primal and ignorant celebration of victory. His eyes immediately went to Saho looking to her now with admiration and a pretty obvious look of lust. "What is your name?" He inquired, he had to know her now. She had almost thrown him over multiple times during that match and it took every ounce of him to beat her. She was by far and away the fiercest woman he had ever met and the respect she had gained coupled with the natural attraction to such a display of force made it so that he was now dead set on his next challenge. He had gotten a taste of Saho, a mere glimpse of what could be and now he wished for the whole thing. He looked upon the cow with a bright smile awaiting to hear her name so that he would begin the process of attempting to bed her. While he stood waiting still unaware of Mei too absorbed in what lay before him he rolled his left shoulder trying to loosen the now worn and tired arm.

She lost. She realized she lost a bit in though she kept it up regardless until finally he drove her hand downward through the wooden counter of the bar. She winced slightly as she looked at her arm even as he asked her for her name. She was quiet for a moment, seemingly examining her arm. It didn't hurt or anything but she seemed disappointed in some small manner "Well you won fair and square." she said, but moments after she sent her fist flying forward, the same arm her just wrestled with. That was the answer he received instead of her name. The punch was beautifully executed, like a powerful spear aimed towards his chin.

Despite the exertion the giant would find that she still had the power to send even a man of his size flying through the wood into the back rooms almost as if that punch was nothing but explosive force. It wasn't enough to really hurt though as that was not her intention with that first strike, plus she knew that the man would be fine...but it would be the first strike of a much greater battle she was challenging him too, or anyone who decided to help him if they so chose to act that foolish. This wasn't necessarily Saho trying to go back on their deal, she had much more honor than that. No, the purpose now was to test something about herself, and to demonstrate something. Whether he, or the others would pick up on it would remain to be seen of course, but even with the strong of the giant, there was something he, and, many others would learn about Saho and her combative nature, what made her the truly deadly warrior she was.

He stood waiting expecting a name and what he found instead was a fist square across the side of his cheek. The giant had never known what it was like to fly, until today. He was airborne, careening back his mind a daze his vision blurry from the blow. He felts his form crash through the wall separating the tavern and the kitchen and luckily an wooden table was there to cushion his blow. He smashed upon it blowing what used to be an ornate oak table to bits in a matter of seconds. He rose sighing and tilting his neck to either side once again allowing a series of pops to emanate outward. She wanted to play rough? He could play rough. He unclasped the buckle holding his fur cloak and proceeded to rip his shirt from his torso revealing the ornate tattoo of yggdrasil proudly across it. As he went to move he felt a drip of something upon his left boot. His gaze shifted down and his head shook as he saw one of the legs of the table protruding from his left tricep. "She'll pay for that one...." He said snapping the leg off so that it no longer jutted from him but a piece stopped up any potential bleeding.

He then looked at the smoky hole from whence he came and widened his stand his legs coiling with excitement. He would be sure to return what she had given him. Oh he would return it. Suddenly without warning he bounded off at surprising speed for his size. Bull rushing through the plume of smoke caused by his crash he aimed to catch her by surprise. He leaned forward his hulking arms fully extended as he wrapped around her side getting just under that incredulous bust. Despite the icy blue shade of his eyes anyone who caught a glimpse of them would clearly be able to see the fire burning now within him. He put his head down charging with her in toe as the two burst through the wall of the tavern and Baldur slammed her down in the mud outside. The pouring rain soon soaked his form and hers as he now straddled her and let out a hulking laugh as if to show his dominance plainly to her.

The lightning streaking across the sky, the rain pounding down from all angles, the booming of thunder and the howling of the wind. It all culminated together into an arena worthy of the match that was about to unfold. Two titans squaring off no longer hindered by the confines of that building. The mud had already stained Baldur a bit of crimson tinge to what was on his left side from the wound he sustained earlier. Though his mind could care less. He had one hand wrapped firmly upon one of her horns and the other pressed on the earth next to her looking down from her above he savored this image of her knowing full well that she would would not allow him to be in such a position for long. His heart was beginning to pound his blood starting to rush, this may not be a battle to the death but it would be one for the ages.

Saho was far more prepared than he might have thought, though she as having a bit of fun. She was unconcerned about the damage to the inn now and focused upon the singular enemy she was faced with now. When he bull rushed she briefly considered meeting him with the same force, she wished to lock horns? She could do so but she knew that if she could not match him in this form with their arms, then the charge would yield the same results. No, she steeled herself instead as the mans mas hit her, carrying her through the wooden wall & out to the rain.

She let out a small grunt shortly before she felt something heavy on top of her, hands grasping at her horns. She narrowed her eyes as she let out a bestial huff "Hands off-" she threw her head forward with a deadly speed before he could attempt to push her back down "-the horns!" she roared. She slammed her forehead into his nose to throw him off balance before she attempted to reverse the situation sliding from under him she would quickly wrap her incredibly muscular legs around him neck and apply the pressure, though with no intention to kill she was only applying enough to cut off any air flow her might have. Much of Saho's strength was in her legs as she was still an animal just in human form though this was obvious to anyone who actually took a moment to gander at them.

She squeezed "Now we've gotten to the fun part. I'm afraid there will be no real hope for you here." she warned him as she went along. He might have been able overpower her, but now they were getting to the part that made Saho the real monster she was. The fire in her eyes was burning greatly. Her muscles ached for this battle, no this was not to the death for she felt no need to fly into a rage, but this was going to satisfy her need for a brawl one way or another. She'd take on anyone she had to. Whoever stepped up she would bring them down.
