This occurs after this attack, and this healing moment.

The blue mare could not let her fears and phobias keep her from the wanderlust of her heart. It wasn't a choice for Kuwanyauma. It was as if she were born to journey and explore. How she traveled was the only thing that she could control. Her usual choice was to fly above it all. However, Mercy had left his mark. She had never taken to the sky since the attack, even after Eteri Voska had spent so much time with her and tended to her despite being a complete stranger. If it had not been for Eteri, there was no telling what would have become of the mare. She couldn't have come back to the forest in which she traveled now. It was certainly an improvement to the total fear she had before. Today was a quiet time where everything seemed at ease. Well, nearly everything was at peace except for the thoughts of the mare.

Her mind swam in endless thoughts of the instances that brought her to this place. Here she was on the ground when she belonged in the air with the birds. Typically she would be flying but her wings still ached. If the ache was truly physical or rather the mental and emotional anguish left on her heart was debatable. Pale hooves carried on their task of carrying her between trees, paying not an ounce of attention of where she was going while she was lost in the her thoughts. At the moment she was her own worst enemy as she let everything sink in and settle. It weighed on Ku's mind how different the souls of this land could be. One moment, they can be cruel and just as quick of a turn, they can be kind.

A tree had fallen and she moved to step over it thinking and remembering the horrific sounds of being hunted. One of those awful noises crashed on her ears, causing her back left hoof to slam down far too early in reaction to what only Ku would be able to hear from her memories. Immediately, she was snapped back. She was in the forest that was not far from her home, and now her back left hoof was trapped in the bark of a log. "Perfect." she muttered with some annoyance at herself. Why had she let her mind wander away too?

"Well, hopefully I can just.." She tried to lift her leg, but the bark pinched and brought her to a stand still. An annoyed, exhausted sigh slipped free."It would seem I'm not going anywhere soon." Talking to herself had become a habit. She hardly wanted to admit she was stuck aloud but the way her head dropped a as she settled, she knew she had no choice. It wasn't often her voice would raise but in the forest, her yell sounded like a bellow. "HELLO? IS ANYONE AROUND?"

Kokkinos knew, on some level, that he was lost. It was not a new sensation, and not one he paid much attention to, given the fact that he was in a new place, traveled from the lands he knew to come to this place. He wasn't alone in his travels, Odigos traveled with him. The familiar had similar color and markings to Kin's own, and it made for some very confused souls when they saw one of them, and then the other, but not together. There had been accusations of... skinwalkers? Kin wasn't familiar with the term, and he had no idea what it meant, honestly. What did they mean, where was his pelt? To say Kin didn't understand was honest. And frustrating.

Of course, the only souls he had encountered so far were on the very edge of these lands, and they had seemed... out of touch. Young and foolish. And if these skinwalkers were so fearsome, who would want to tangle with one?

Kin had decided that he would go for a walk, clear his head a bit. Odigos was perched on his back, claws tangled in his mane for balance. Kin was, however, careful not to jostle the hawk, lest he get clawed for his trouble.

So, pinking his way slowly through the forest he found himself in, Kokkinos wondered. He knew he was only partially Angeni, but did the double wing signify nothing here? From what he could tell, a skinwalker was something evil. He was not that. True, he had claws, but so did his hawk.

Kin didn't really understand. But then, he was not from here, he had much to learn.

The pair of them were startled into the air at the shout. Odigos went high, among the trees, screeching a protest the whole way, while Kin managed to get himself back on the ground, all his wings flared out. What was that about?

With a simple nod of his head, he sent his hawk a'hunting. Kin would follow more slowly, since it was easier for Odigos to get a good view of what was happening and then report back to him, as opposed to getting himself into something he didn't need to be messing around in.

Kokkinos moved slowly in the direction that his hawk had flown in, clawed forefeet leaving shallow holes in the ground as he moved.

Odigos circled back around, landing hard on a branch. "There is a mare stuck up ahead. She bears some Angeni traits."

And that was Odigos, straight to the point. Kin nodded. "Alright then, go high, alert me to anything you think you should." The bird took to the air with grace that Kin envied.

Still on the ground, but his thoughts with his familiar in the sky, he made his way forward, slowing slightly when he saw the interesting mare that had gotten herself caught. He couldn't think of a time he's seen anyone like her, and he was fascinated by it, trying to figure out her other traits as he walked wide around her. Kin didn't want to spook her, make her jump and hurt herself. He had no healing ability, and while she might have some, it was just better to keep her from harm.

As he stepped into her line of sight, he cleared his throat. "Hello? Do you need help?" His wings separated a bit, so that both of them could be easily seen as he took a step forward, holding up a claw, meaning that he could get her free with little to no trouble.

At first, despair was the first to answer her desperate call as silence fell around her. Even the woodland critters didn't wish to involve themselves or so it felt as the quiet set in from her booming call. It was easy enough for a mind that was barely healed together such as Kuwanyama's to come to such conclusions instead of realizing that suddenly shouting in a forest was bound to disturb the local residents into a shocked stillness. Had this been before her experience with such darkness and malicious souls, she could have figured this much out for herself. Now, she was a little worse for wear on the mind and heart so her initial instincts already called forth the darkest reasonings.

However her broken nature was not completely lost as it had been previously, all thanks to a kindness she found with a single mare before daring to try and wander off by herself to find her home again. It was through this moment that she had discovered healing and reclaimed what had not been taken from her: the true and pure good that resided within her heart. It was this treasure that allowed the healing to come in and mend the invisible damage left on her soul. So while her initial reaction was dark fears and the worst of worries, it was the healed heart that slowly spoke through to her common sense. "Remain calm. It will be okay." she softly reminded herself in a tone that held her nurturing nature. Golden eyes closed as she took in a deep breath and exhaled to steady her nerves. She needed to remember it would be okay.

Kuwanyauma's ear flicked at the first sign that she was no longer alone and trapped. Her eyes snapped opened and she jerked in the direction of the voice that called out to her. In that instance, she appeared more like a frightened prey that had been discovered. With a blink of an eye, it was gone as she sighed with relief seeing that it was another equine similar to herself, with such beautiful interesting wings. Her tail flicked away the shiver that threatened to try and run along her spine. "YES!" was her knee-jerk reaction to his question. Cheeks flushed darker blue as she heard herself shout rather than answer and immediately her head shook. "I'm sorry." She did her best to smile to him. "Hello, yes. I would be very grateful for some assistance if you would be so kind, please. You see I am a bit stuck right now and-"

Her words cut off as the stallion's claw came into view. Her smile slipped free to a horrified look. He would see her tremble instantly and her voice dropped to a whisper, "No..." Kuwanyauma immediately tried to step back, but all that ended up happening was her leg rubbed against the bark and she stumbled. "No, please." Tears started building up in her eyes. "I don't want to play anymore. Please.." Such a broken desperate plea clung to every hushed word. Her wings clenched tightly against her back folding so tight as if to try and protect what was left of the feathers. If he looked close the avian stallion would see several were still missing. "I'm sorry for being so loud. I'm sorry for wandering here! If this is your territory I promise to never come back! Please let me go!"
