Rules
1. Contest is open to everyone and anyone who wishes to enter
2. Do not discourage others from entering
3. This is a user-run contest so it does not count as a freebie soquili
4. No evil personalities, or plots where the basket is abandoned / raised by wolves etc.
Though I don't rp much anymore, the baskets will IC'ly be raised by their fathers, and neither would tolerate their offspring being outright evil – quirky and shades of grey are perfectly acceptable however, and neither would let anything happen to their baskets.
5. I am trying to get back into rp here, at least a little so feel free to bug me for family rp, or even just some plotting, I love plotting.

If you want to have the basket know his half-siblings, you will need to talk to their owners about that, but for my part, Tsifira Sadaf knows of his half-sibs and can be an infrequent presence in their lives as they grow up, but he is more than willing to play a part in their lives when they're older should they wish it...

Family  Anahi, Papa A fanciful dreamer, with his head in the clouds and often not all there, Anahi is good gentle soul who loves his children, all of them, even if he isn't the most mentally present parent. He fell in love with a mare once, and even though they went their separate ways, he still thinks very fondly of her. But He didn't truly know what it was to feel love and passion until he met Nephilim, who showed him it was alright to be who he was and to feel the strong emotions for himself and his children. When with Neph, his mind is more settled and he is more present.  Nephilim, Father A somewhat guarded and standoffish stallion, he finds it difficult to connect with others, though since meeting and falling for the gentler stallion, he is slowly starting to open up to others and form connections to others. He knows of Anahi's past and he not only accepts Tsifira and would the others if he got to know them, but he also loves them for the fact they are also a part of his mate. He is a stern but caring father, and wants only the best for his little family.  Lix Tetrax, younger brother Lix is a serious, observant, quiet colt, who is curious to learn anything and everything he can. He also has quite a subtle and playful sense of humor. He is fond of playing tricks on others, though he does try very hard to make sure that no one is harmed by said pranks,even though it can't always be helped, and he does feel terribly about it afterwards, for a short while, until it is time for another prank to be pulled... Username: LOLTERNATIVE Basket Name: Morpheus "Seeker of Truth" --- Meaning / Inspiration Morpheus is the god of dreams and he's going to be someone that finds meaning in dreams. c: Character Song: xLikes/Dislikes: + The night, dreams, stars and astrology, his family, precious gems & crystals - Sunlight, interruptions, nightmares, bugs Personality: Much like his father Anahi, Morpheus has his head in the clouds - although it would be more appropriate to say he has his head stuck in his dreams and the dreams of others. As a foal, he will have a recurring dream and in his efforts to understand it will begin to learn how to interpret dreams and their significance. This will, in future, extend to more intricate meanings involving astrology (the planet is in this phase, so this dream means something different compared to dreaming it when the stars are aligned in this way). While he lets himself into others dreams, he detests nightmares and when he feels he will have one he may develop insomnia and choose to stay awake. Understanding why we dream what we dream has also helped him understand why we have nightmares. He prolongs them until he's sorted the cause or until fatigue takes him. If it is the latter, the nightmares he has are quite extreme and can turn into night terrors. While fanciful in his purpose in life, Morpheus is sensible and can be guarded - a trait he picked up from his father, Nephilim. Like his father, he tries to open up but it can be hard to break through the hard exterior. Not to say he's a cruel or unkind stallion, he just likes his solitude and his privacy. His family, of course, is very important to him and are the few he opens up to completely. Plot/RP Ideas: + Dream Weaver: Morpheus will, later on, help weave people's dreams by whispering to them as they sleep - kind of like a hypnosis. + Meaning: Soquili seek him out to interpret their dreams. He charges a small fee to help cover any supplies he needs. + Apprentice: He will eventually seek further training in astrology from the harpies (specifically Astraeus & his daughter Asteria). This will not be a mate plot and he will be invited by Asteria after she 'sees' of him. All in good fun of course, never really meaning any harm. He soaks up all the information he can, putting it to use whenever possible. He wants to change the perceptions of things, of how soquili are seen. Kalona doesn't mean cruel. Seathi doesn't mean forever stuck to the seas, Angeni doesn't mean outright purity. Everyone can be anything and it's better to know the truth than assume. Plot/RP Ideas: I'd like some inciting incident that triggered this response in him. It can be something as easy as someone thinking that a usidia is not strong enough to do something when what matters most is strength of heart and character. He'll turn out to be a lover of misfits. He'll want to be able to bring about open discussion and tear down the walls of pre-conceived notions. With his fathers to lead him, and his brother he's seen what happens when you look at the heart of someone rather than your assumptions. Basket Name: Auriga Lapis
--- Meaning / Inspiration at first I was trying to find a cool way to interpret star gem to try and combine the fathers themes but then I found a nice constellation name (Auriga) and combined it with a pretty gemstone name (lapis)
Character Song: Green Day, Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Likes/Dislikes: likes -Stars, Solitude, Silence. dislikes -abrasive people, loud/excitable people, socialising
Personality: Auriga is, on the outside, a very antisocial Soquili, while he's not mean, he prefers to keep apart from others. While he loves his fathers and his siblings, he finds it very difficult to show his emotions, often just going through the motions to make the other happy. He prefers being by himself and being apart from people doesn't make him lonely, but deep down he wants that special someone, like his fathers found in each other, despite their personalities.
As a foal he is more outwardly approachable and loving but as he grows he withdraws, innocent child-like affection giving way to adolescent self doubt and awkwardness, then to adulthood solitude.
One thing he can't abide is bullies and mean-ness and will go out of his way to defend the victim, even physically if he he to, however once the victim is safe, he becomes standoffish and will often just leave, he doesn't want to be thanked, he just did the right thing that's all.
Plot/RP Ideas: I wouldn't mind some light RP with his fathers and brother, perhaps he gets upset over a prank played on him. As a foal I'd like some family interaction to see his cute side.
As an adult I'd like to see some awkwardness with his fathers or siblings being affectionate, him on the outside, playing happy and smiley, just to make them happy and stop them worrying.
A 'rescue me' plot where he helps someone out of a situation involving a bully or a predator but the victim won't let him just leave, somehow makes him stay, at least for a while, teaching him to open up a little.
A plot, where he is friends with someone, maybe even feels a sort of affection and the they end up in a relationship but, knowing he doesn't care for them as they wish he did, leaves them to allow them to find someone that can truly make them happy
A plot where he slowly falls in love with someone, someone who just won't leave him alone for long, who continues to pester him, encourages him to enjoy being with others, who shows him its OK to show your feelings, then this soquili gets hurt, Auriga almost loses them and finally admits his feelings.
Anything else?: just that I absolutely ADORE the family, they're so beautiful!

I'm going for "Son of the Dark Star", which fits this little basket perfectly~ Character Song: [ Bitter Beauty] - Jason Colett Likes/Dislikes: Love, Night/Dusk, Stars, Beauty, Philosophy///Ugly things, Mud, Anger, Villains, Loud Noises, Being told "No" Personality: Izar is a dandy. He is vain and worries about his appearance, but don't let his primadonna nature fool you, he is quite intelligent. Izar Belasco comes off as foolish, silly and sometimes even conceited but he has such a fanciful notion of the world and all the beauty within it. All the love his parents gave him just built his self-esteem up to the point that he's built a mental wall that seems nearly indestructible. He's just a dreamer, filled with hopes and visions of the world that will have to be taken down one by one. Username: Malikztiah Ankhere Basket Name: Rigil Centauri --- Meaning / Inspiration A mix of the 2 names for the binary star system Alpha Centauri as a whole, and Rigil Kentaurus which is one of the main paired stars. Named for the fact that it comes in a pair, and this basket came with a brother at the same. Character Song: NightLikes/Dislikes: The sky, the smell of rain and splashing in puddles. Dislikes loud noises and feeling crowded Personality: Carefree. He enjoys living like freely and with as much time to take it all in and enjoy it, as he chooses to have. The idea of being held to someone else's schedule or expectations is grating. He doesn't want to have to feel as if he needs to prove himself to anyone. Plot/RP Ideas: Family time- I'd like to have him remain close to his family, never wandering too far from home. Meeting his half-siblings would be great, but if he never sees them he won't die from the curiosity. Username: AstoriaFallen Basket Name: Lux "Star Guardian" --- Meaning / Inspiration "light" / Latin Origin; though inspiration for him comes from one of the Star Guardians named Lux. Character Song: “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for” - U2 Likes/Dislikes: Lux likes flowers, long walks, flying at night, star gazing, gardening, scavenger hunting and exploring. He also has a fondness for things that are out of the ordinary. Their uniqueness draws him to whatever it might be, whether it’s gimpy wings or extra limbs. He doesn’t like judgmental characters. He isn’t very fond of being restricted either, he likes to have freedom of choice. He’ll likely carry that into adulthood when it comes to relationships, wanting to share in his love openly verses being tied down by one love. Though if he meets the right someone they may change his mind. He doesn’t like thunder either, the vibrations make him uneasy and the noise hurts his ears. So, he’s a bit of a bab when it comes to thunderstorms. He also doesn't like soggy food. The texture makes him queezy. Personality: Lux is going to be a beacon of light when all else seems dark. A natural born leader he will make it his mission to ensure things are properly taken care of and that his family is looked after. He will be steadfast in all that he sets his mind to. He will have a soft side as well, showing affection towards lesser animals or those weaker than him. It’s not something he shows often in public since he doesn’t want others to think they can just walk over him. However, if they make the mistake to think he’s someone they can push around he will quickly make it clear they cannot. While his brother is more of a trickster he is more mellow but has a high sense for adventure and keen to do things that give him an adrenaline rush. You could say he’s a bit of an adrenaline junky in that aspect. He will grow out of that as an adult but as a foal he will do things that others would be too afraid to do. He will easily be goaded into doing things that are likely dangerous and life threatening but he does have his limits but won’t turn down a good dare. Plot/RP Ideas: The Stars Above- He wants to know all he can about the twinkling lights high in the sky. What they mean and possibly how they got there. He’ll be quite fascinated with them and wonder about life beyond their world.
The Stones Below- He finds a cavern with stalagmites and geodes and this makes him curious about the world they inhabit. Finding one stone in particular that as purple stones within it’s core he’ll keep it since it reminds him of one of his fathers.
We are all family- He meets his half brother Neon and his mate Lothiriel (I’ll clear with lolly but I’m sure she’d be okay with this.) Neon will tell him about the world around them that he has seen and even bring him some seeds to plant for his garden, since Lothiriel has one herself.
I can do that! Maybe not.- Some other foals tempt him into doing some risky feats. Perhaps he gets injured or someone else gets injured in the process. Either way it will be a learning experience and make him aware not everything will end the way you plan it.
I like your differences- He meets someone that is truly strange and repulses others but he finds them beautiful in their uniqueness and tells them that. Perhaps they become steadfast friends for life! Who knows.
Not all your pranks are funny- His brother pulls a prank and he gets upset at him for it.
You’re lovely- He realizes he’s bisexual as a young adult. He won’t exactly understand at first what his emotions are but finally understand. He won’t find it weird or repulsive because his fathers love each other deeply and he’d be honored to have a love half as strong as theirs. Though he’ll be quite alright with loving more than one if that’s what his heart and soul wants.
Don’t go breaking my heart- Someone uses him and he finds out about it and it makes him realize not everyone in this world is good. This causes him to become a bit of a recluse for a little while as he figures things out and gains his ground again.
This is what family is for- He confides in his brother about his feelings towards how some of the things have happened. Perhaps he gives him some guidance he needed to here or just makes the situation worse. (Would love to plot with you about this if I win him)
Love doesn’t always mean strings are attached- He meets Amadahy and she explains how love doesn’t have to be something that ties you down, that it can set you free and lift your spirit high. That there are those out there that are fine with sharing their love freely for a short amount of time and just moving on, that it doesn’t have to be a permanent thing if they don’t want it to be.

Username: Kaya Wolf Moon Basket Name: Tenshi “Heir to the Heavens” --- Meaning / Inspiration Japanese for “Heaven’s child; like an angel.” Character Song: Die for You - StarsetLikes/Dislikes: Likes- exploring uncharted domains; playing or hanging out with his younger brother; taking care of animals, big and small; soaring among the heavens; night time because he can see the stars clearly; thunderstorms. Dislikes- being talked down to or patronized; extreme heat; day time, but only because it hides the stars; spicy foods; having his privacy invaded. Personality: Tenshi tends to act childish and rash at times. Although he has outbursts of emotion, he is more recognized for his energy and boisterous demeanor. Many have said that Tenshi is a very kind and naive individual who has a loving and tender nature, which most likely explains why animals are drawn to him and why he makes friends easily. He cares deeply for those around him and has a habit of taking action without thinking things through when someone is in trouble. Tenshi also tends to hide his personal pain from others, brushing injuries of any type off as being minor, while utilizing his talkative and laidback nature to redirect their attention. Despite his brash nature, Tenshi does possess a more calm and soothing nature at times. This side of his personality is typically demonstrated around his brother. He cares immensely for the younger sibling, willing to do anything to protect him at all costs. Even placing his own needs and wants aside in lieu of his brother’s. It is a role in which he cheerfully balances being the fun-loving and playful brother with the moral, attentive, shielding side. That said, Tenshi can be violent at times because he possesses a sensitivity to the world and feels things deeply. When such moments arise, there are few things that can temper his dour mood, with the affection for his brother generally being the main one. When not doting on his brother, Tenshi prefers to spend his time doing things he sees as productive. He has taken a great interest in tending to the animals of the forest, both great and small, as well as studying the heavens. Listening to a rumbling thunderstorm is one of his most enjoyed yet lesser known hobbies, situating itself right up there with flying amongst the stars and playing with his brother. The sound that raindrops make when they crash to the earth, the staccato of the thunder, the thrill inspired by the dance of lightning, all of it inspires a sense of wonder within him. Plot/RP Ideas: 1. Brother Mine- Tenshi is nearly inseparable from his brother. The two do almost everything together. They explore, they play, they enjoy life in general. What exactly is their bond though? Does one see himself greater than the other or do both have a mutual respect? *Note* Essentially, this plot would establish how one brother sees the other. It could be a pro or a con depending on how the younger brother interacts with the older. 2. My Brother’s Keeper- While exploring one day, Tenshi and his brother become separated from their dads. Things aren’t completely bad though, as they do have each other. They can put their heads together and find their way home. Everything doesn’t go as planned, however, when Tenshi (or his younger brother) slips and falls and becomes injured. How will the two make it home now? Must one abandon the other to seek help or stay together? Could things get any worse? (the answer to this is yes. Things can always get worse if plots call for it.) *Note* This plot is subject to whomever wants their foal to get injured. Depending on who it is, it can dictate exactly what course of action should be taken and can lend to more character development on Tenshi’s part (option A: he gets injured and pushes himself to exhaustion in hopes of getting himself and his brother home. Option b: brother is injured and Tenshi feels guilty for allowing harm to come to his brother.) 3. Time Tells No Lie- A few years have passed with the two colts growing into fine young stallions. What has time brought the two? Have they grown closer? Grown apart? Essentially, this plot is all about where the two have come from and what their next steps in life shall be. 4. Green with…?- Tenshi’s love for animals has grown greater as he has aged. He has a natural gift for drawing them to him, yet his abilities to help are limited in comparison to others. When he comes across a Unicorn, one capable of healing great injury, he feels a spark of something that he has never felt before- envy. How will he react to this new feeling? Will he accept his limitations or will he allow the envy to seat itself with his heart and bloom? *Note* Just for reference, I intend him to ultimately accept his limitations. This was simply an interesting plot bunny that I felt would help in that endeavor. 5. What is Love?- Tenshi has decided to travel across the Kawani lands so that he might learn more about things he is interest in. While on his journey, he has encountered a different form of love than he is used to. Growing up with two fathers, he thought that was the norm for other families. Now he discovers that his normal is not the typical normal. There are mare/stallion relationships, mare/mare relationships, among many others. Are all such relationships true love, as his fathers had? Is there really such a thing? Or is there something more to it than what lies on the surface? *Note* This plot could potentially lead into another plot where he meets his mate(s). I’m going to leave that aspect open for the moment though. 6. All in the Family- Rather simplistic in nature. Tenshi meets his extended family, learning everything he can about them and forming new bonds. *Note* This would most likely turn into multiple RPs with him meeting as many siblings, and even his siblings’ mothers, possible.
