Mizuki stayed a few steps behind her mother as they made their way to the pool area. She had no inkling of what might be in store for her here. There could be any number of things that the Queen had in mind. She certainly did not sound thrilled when she spoke in the dining hall. What could Mother be planning? The princess asked herself, pondering the past punishments and lectures. What might she wish to discuss? Whenever the Queen mentioned discussing something, it had never been a pleasant topic in the end. Whatever she planned, Mizuki hoped that it did not involve Pix. There were many things she could withstand, but losing a new found friend, regardless of station or troublesome antics, was not one of them at the moment.
Underwater Breath- Mizuki is capable of breathing within water easily. This ability allows her to remain submerged underwater for extended periods of time, without receiving any ill effects. However, she must eventually come up for air or risk drowning like anyone else. The maximum time she can remain underwater is 2 hours and she cannot utilize this power in tainted, unclean bodies of water.
Yosojutsu: Healing- Her inherent gift with water is strong enough to where she is able to use it the element to heal nearly any injury or malady. Though, depending on the severity of the problem, she can overexert herself and become fatigued to the point of immobility, sometimes even unconsciousness.
Water Cloak- Mizuki can encase her body in a cloak of water. It is undetectable to the naked eye or even to the touch, acting as a second skin of sorts. It is usually only utilized in fights where fire is being used as it provides a greater resilience against the opposing element. Fire can eventually harm her, but it takes an intense amount of heat and time to do so. While the cloak is strong against most elements, it does possess a weakness against sharp weapons and electricity. Things such as blades, arrows, and spears can pierce through the protection of the cloak to inflict harm.
Yosojutsu: Combat- Mizuki is proficient in elemental combat, being able to manipulate water, ice, and occasionally snow to do her bidding on a second's notice. Her proficiency in the elemental style of combat continues to grow with each passing year. However, as with all elements, there are some that can easily overpower her own. Electricity presents the greatest disadvantage to Mizuki in combat. Water being a natural conductor, electricity can pass through it with ease and inflict damage upon anyone or anything that water or its variants come into contact with. She has to be vigilant when fighting Electricity users so as not to sustain injury. Air, although not as difficult to counteract, possesses its own challenge. A user with advanced skills in air manipulation can block, evade, and even incorporate her own element into their attack.
Yami Umi- An enchanted sword that was given to Mizuki as a present from one of her family members. It holds the ability to purify any tainted source of water that it touches. Yami Umi, as the sword was named, can only purify through touch however, and it can only do so once in a day. If it were to be used more than that, then the sword itself could become tainted and expel the polluted water back into the world. Aside from this, the sword acts as a weapon for her use in combat.
The queen stopped at the railing overlooking the kingdom. She closed her eyes and let out a deep sigh. She turned to her daughter. ” Mizuki, I want you to look out there, and tell me what you see.” She paused a moment for her daughter's response. “ Everytime you leave without permission you put not only the kingdom at risk, but your family as well. I would love to give you the freedom you desire, but every time I think you're ready you prove me wrong, you show me time and time again that your desires matter more than your duties.“ Artemis looked down at her daughter. “We are here because today is special. It marks the first time that you have truly failed me. Today, I have no training for you. Today, I have no studies for you. Today, I don't even have chores for you. Instead I want to impress upon you the severity of your actions. You have let me down in ways words can not express. Regardless of the time I have given you, you’ve failed to grasp the magnitude of the situation. So let me make this easy for you.” “You have put your father, your brother, and me at risk by exposing yourself to potential dangers. Sneaking away by yourself leaves you vulnerable to any enemies of the Water Kingdom, criminals who would kill you or worse, hold you for ransom. You have put our citizens in danger. Our country is a peaceful and loving one. Our people look to us for protection and guidance. We are their pride, be it man, woman or child, they would blindly risk their lives for yours. Believe me when I tell you, that's not a burden you want to bear. Finally there's the matter of your poor judgment. You put your faith in him, a pixie, a race you know almost nothing about. He spilled your secret not only to me but your father as well. He would tell anyone who asked him, gladly. I hope you understand why that would be a problem. For now I have no intentions of harming the pixie.“ She looked over the city and said. “One can only hope that you now understand why these little excursions need to end.” Artemis stood there unflinching, letting her words linger for a few moments. She then looked back towards her daughter expectantly.
The princess frowned curiously. Stepping up to the railing alongside her mother, she gazed out over the kingdom of Aquarian, uncertain of where the Queen was going with her question. "It is our kingdom. For as far as the eye can see, and further yet." Mizuki turned her head slightly, a questioning expression written clearly upon her features. Her questions did not remain unanswered long. Artemis soon began to express her feelings on the matters at hand. With her usual detached demeanor, the Queen spoke about her disappointment in Mizuki and of how she had unerringly placed not only her family, but her kingdom in jeopardy.
Her luminescent blue eyes stared across the vast forest to the town barely visible in the distance. Mizuki did not flinch at the lecture. Instead absorbing every word and imprinting every nuance of her mother's speech. When at last the Queen awaited her reprise, the young teenager took a moment to gather her thoughts. "It was never my intention to put our family in danger." She spoke with a soft yet resolute tone. If there was ever a time to express herself, that time was now at hand. "I admit that I have made errors in judgement. However, what you speak in regards to my duties could not be further from the truth."
She turned to face her mother more fully. Her right hand drifted to the railing where it rested lightly, brows furrowing pensively. "I have not forgotten of the shadowman that tried to kill me all those years ago. How could I? But it is that memory which has driven me. I do not sneak out for the sheer enjoyment of it, Mother. I do so because it shows that I am not afraid. Perhaps that is a flaw of mine. Perhaps not. Would you rather I live in fear of him for all eternity? To wallow in self-doubt, hidden behind the walls of a castle?" Mizuki paused briefly to steady herself once more. All of the feelings she had bottled up through the years, all of the repressed emotions, threatened to come flooding out. That was not a luxury she could afford, however, so she deigned to reign them in.
"That is not who I am nor is it who I choose to be. As to the kingdom, I would rather die myself than see any of our citizens be hurt for my sake. But is it not also our duty as royalty to experience life as they do? If I am to rule over this kingdom someday, then I must come to understand how it is that they live. No amount of studying or training can replace a life of experience." Her hand clenched the banister as she spoke, her fervency underlying and accenting each word. "How am I to learn of their lives if they only ever view me as royalty? You have spoken of protecting and guiding them, but how am I to do so when I do not know what their troubles nor their wants and needs are? I am careful when I take to the streets of the town, Mother. I take great care to hide my identity. Until today, I have never revealed myself to another. Yet--"
Mizuki closed her eyes against the pain of speaking about Pix. She did not see his revelation as a betrayal. Nor did she want to believe him capable of such a thing. If only she could bring her mother to realize the same. "I did so in the endeavor to quell his thievery. He is a simple Pixie, one who delights in the joys of life no matter the circumstance. As you say, there is much I do not know of his kind, yet I have chosen to place my trust in him and there it shall remain. I firmly believe that he did not betray me when he spoke to you of my outings. You are my parents. It does not take great insight to realize his reasoning behind revealing me." The princess fell silent after that. Her emotions were beginning to wear thin from expressing herself so thoroughly. Perhaps speaking so boldly might not have been the wisest decision, but there were things that needed to be said. Mizuki only need now await the Queen's retort, whether it be good or bad.

✸ OOC ✸ Sorry for the double quote. Needed to fix some errors.
Zavea had planned to visit Lumi today and was smiling as she flew through the air. It had been a couple of months since she last seen the queen and since she was bored out of her mind back at the tribe, it was easy to say that the harpy wanted. But what the harpy got was being chased by a horde of bee's. She didn't know how this had happened as her one taloned foot held onto a bundle of tiger lilies. How did the young monster girl get into this mess?
It had all started when Zavea had left the tribe to visit her friend. The weather for the water kingdom was perfect, its gentle winds caressing the harpies face as she flew. She had been flying over some of the forest that had hidden her tribe from the outside world. On the outskirts of the forest was a large beautiful landscape of wild flowers and long blades of grass, that danced when the wind gently caress the earth. Streams of pure crystal water that had melted from the snow covered mountains. Zavea had landed by a near by tree looking at some of the flowers that grew near the back of the river. The girl had remembered once when Lumi had came out here with her and told her about these plants. Apperently "tiger lilies" were her friends favorite flower and what better way to visit with a few of the flowers.
To Zavea the queen was like her closest friend due to the young harpy never having too much human interaction. She had instantly attached herself to the woman who also had saved her life. Usually Zavea would wait for the queen to visit but there were sometimes that the girl would visit the woman. She had met her daughter once or twice before but that was before the newly added member to their family came along. Dropping to her knees she had reached her left wing digit to start picking a few of the lilies that she would give to the queen.
As she was almost done gathering the flowers a mosquito had targeted the girl for it's next meal as it flew over to her, buzzing right past her ear. Slightly startled she had jumped to her feet looking for the insect. It had landed on her biting her as she yelped smacking at the area where she was bit. The mosquito flew off of her only trying to get another bite in. Being bit by the same bug was starting to get irritating as it the circle of steps kept repeating itself. "Alright you little menace take this!" Zavea had yelled as she flung her wing out releasing a feather towards the flying tiny menace. The insect moved barely missing it but the feather had hit something hanging from the tree branch. Watching as the huge brown papery oblong object fell to the ground the harpy had approached it. She had used her talons to poke at the object hearing something buzzing. From the opening of the shape, bees had started to fly out ready to defend their home.
"Oh no..." Zavea had said to herself taking a couple of back. Her instincts were screaming to run, and running away was what she did. Running from the horde of bees she had snatched the flowers by her talons as she took to the skies. Thinking that the bees would leave her alone if she left was the wrong idea because the bees had chased after her. Now here she was flying from a swarm of bees with a bunch of lilies in her talons.
The castle had come into view as Zavea was trying to fly around the towers hoping to lose the attacking insects. To no avail did they lose the harpy as Zavea was now reaching the back of the castle. There in the back was a huge body of water in a weird shape. To Zavea her mind was really happy that Lumi had made a landing pad for her. That and maybe she could lose her attackers at the same time. Descend at a fast speed like a bullet she hits the water causing a massive wave to erupt, heading towards the two females who were facing away from it.
She stared at her daughter as she explained herself. Artemis appeared to be as cold as ever. Her demeanor didn't change, however she was contemplating her daughter's words. She decided that her daughter had said just about enough when that silly siren came crashing in the pool behind them. Artemis glanced behind her and made a simple hand gesture. The wave was completely frozen losing all the momentum it once had it hanging just above their heads, then she looked back at her daughter. “We’ll continue this conversation later. It appears as though we have a guest.” She unfroze the water and it dropped in front of them .”Hello Zavea.” She reached her arm out to help her up.
Zavea had floated to the surface only her eyes and nose were out of the water as she looked around. She wanted to make sure that she did get attacked by the hoard of bees. when the coast was clear she popped the rest of her head out of the water. The harpy was really happy that Lumi had made a landing pad for her otherwise she might have flown into the castle. Like a little child she smiled as she moved around in the water. That was until her name was called. Turning to the source of the voice made Zavea eyes shine even more.
"LUMI!" Zavea shouted as she made her way through the water over to the queens outstretched hand. With the help of the queen the harpy was out of the water and onto dry land. "Lumi I have so much to tell you! You wont believe it but I took part taking down a pirate ship the other day! And, and their were a whole bunch a fairies that were fond near the beach last month! I thought I saw one that looked like you! Oh! I also picked a bunch of flowers for you too!" Zavea had said happily as she brought her foot up heady to give the bundle of flowers to her friend, only to find out that she didn't have the flowers with her. The siren looked around confused before it turned into a shocked one as she stared out in the landing pad. The flowers that she had picked where either at the bottom of the pool or floating at the top in pieces. With a flap of her wings she was a few inches in the air as she flew over the water looking to see if one of them had survived.
She had looked over the water for a few good minutes, and it was as if all of the flowers were destroyed. Except for one. It was slightly damage but had remained in tacked. Gently grabbing it from the water before flying back to Lumi. "It's not much, but one of the flowers survived." Zavea said placing the slightly damaged flower in the queens hands. With a closed eyed smile the harpy moved in to hug the queen. Though Zavea didn't know that the queen had moved out of the way due to the siren still being wet. So instead of hugging the water queen, she had hugged the water princess's instead. When Zavea opened her eyes she was slightly confused. How did the queen become so, well short? She was cocking her head to the side as she looked at the blue haired female in front of her. It had been six maybe seven years since she came to Lumi's home and once when they were in the snow village North of her tribe. But this girl standing before her was almost the same size as her and Zavea couldn't help but pout. She just couldn't remember this person.
Mizuki waited with bated breath for her mother to speak. The Queen's demeanor was cold as usual, making her thoughts indiscernible. She truly hoped that the elder woman would see reason in her words. That she might grow to understand the prison that her home had become, and realize the princess's efforts in learning of her kingdom and its citizens within. Alas, before Artemis could respond, a resounding crash issued from the pool. Mizuki turned to find a wave of watering barreling towards them. Its progress halted by the Queen's small gesture which froze it in place.
The teenager inclined her head in acknowledgement of her mother's words. "Yes, Mother." She stated simply as she watched Artemis help the siren harpy from her watery landing spot. Zavea, as her mother had called her, rambled off words at a lightning pace upon seeing the Queen. It was nearly comical the speed at which she spoke. She brought flowers for Mother? Mizuki stared curiously at the harpy while she searched to recover the flowers from the pool. Who is she? She found herself wondering further. The harpy seemed familiar somehow, yet the princess could not seem to determine in what way.
Her confusion increased when she felt the dampened feathery arms wrap around her body. In mild shock, Mizuki tilted her head back so that she could better gaze upon the other girl. Zavea's own expression echoed the mixture of surprise and uncertainty the princess currently felt. "Friend of the Queen's, I welcome you to the Water Kingdom Castle." Her etiquette training took hold. Bowing her head, since Zavea clung to the rest, she introduced herself. "I am Princess Mizuki Hyosetsu."

Artemis smiled gently as she listened to Zavea talk about all her adventures. When the siren stated she had picked her flowers Artemis looked towards the pool. Zavea looked for one that was still a flower. Orange petals and green stems floated about the large pool. Artemis sighed at the sight of the pool. “ What a mess…” she thought to herself. Zavea found and presented the only surviving flower. Artemis held back laughter and a smile at the sight of the pitiful thing. “Thank you dear.” Upon seeing the siren's smile she realised a hug was inevitable….Or was it? Artemis stepped sideways putting her daughter in the line of fire. Zavea wrapped her wet wings around the daughter. The queen stared at the mischief she had caused and a smirk grew across her face. She didn't start laughing until Mizuki introduced herself.
Zavea was looking at the girl in front of her. One thing that they shared was who was this other person. Zavea was going to ask the girl with blue hair in front of her until she turned around to look at Lumi. The Queen had started laughing out of no where. Did she say something that was funny or was it the girl that she was still hugging? Turning her attention to the girl again. Zavea had to think about her. She looked so familiar to her yet she didn't remember.
Way back in Zavea's memory, an image of glass shattering, a young human and Lumi being really fat. Zavea was flying to the palace due to Lumi not showing up. and she had crashed into one of the windows in the castle. Zavea didn't know where she was but it had a bed, a few dolls laying around the room, a book shelf and other human storages. There was a small human in bed when Zavea looked around the room. But most of the memory was hazy after that. 'Who are you?'
Staring up at the harpy, Mizuki started to grow uncomfortable. Her blue eyes slowly shifted away from the girl to where her mother had started laughing hysterically. The princess stared in confusion, uncertain as to what could be so funny. Mother hardly ever laughs. Mizuki thought to herself with a pensive frown marking her features. Her eyes drifted back to the harpy whose arms still laid wrapped around her. What is so amusing? Is it because I am getting soaked? Tit for tat, it seemed that the two girls echoed one another's sentiments. Neither could clearly place whom the other was. Although, a ghost of a memory toyed at the edge of her mind. A tinkering of glass falling onto the floor and a streak of pink were all that could be bidden to the surface.
The princess startled slightly when the voice rang out from the harpy. Though not a physical voice in the sense of using one's mouth to speak, but rather an ethereal voice from the mind. "I am Princess Mizuki Hyosetsu." She repeated once more for the other. "Daughter of Artemis and Lyr. Firstborn and heir to the Kingdom of Aquaria...May I ask your name?"

"I'm Zavea! Daughter of Sephena, Chieftess of the Sirens" The pink headed girl said as she looked at Mizuki. Mizuki now where did she hear that name before. She would have asked the princess's more if the queen's laughter kept pulling her out of her thoughts. Pulling away from Mizuki she had tried to walk around the girl, but due to the sun fading and the darkness covering the land. The poor siren had fallen back into the water due to her lack of seeing in the dark. This kind of startled the young harpy as she splashed around in the pool water.
Lir couldn't believe what he was hearing. He walked outside to find his wife laughing, his daughter dumbfounded, and a siren swimming in the pool and introducing herself. The siren and Mizuki notwithstanding, the strangest thing had to be his wife actually laughing. He hadn't heard that sound since the last time she managed to ruffle his feathers with incessant taunting over a month ago. "Well what in the great blue ocean could be happening that could make you actually laugh?" Lir asked, almost fearing the answer.
Mizuki stared hard at the harpy. It was not an unkind stare, but one of concentration. That name, Zavea... It sounded familiar to the princess. Yet she could not seem to recall where on earth she had heard it. Her eyes followed the harpy as she pulled away and started to pace around her, only to fall back into the swimming pool. Blinking owlishly, Mizuki glanced to her mother who remained locked in laughter. The princess sighed inwardly, stretching out her hand for the other girl to take. She could have used her water manipulation to do so but felt it might be too insincere.
As she awaited the harpy's grasp, Mizuki heard the familiar voice of her father entering onto the terrace of the pool. He sounded as confused as both herself and Zavea. "We have been wondering the same, Father. Mother has been laughing like that for a good minute or so." She turned to her father while she spoke and instantly noticed the lack of an excitable Pixie. "Father, where is Pix?" Her tone was even though she felt a pang of concern for her new friend. Not that she believed the King would do any harm to the young Pix. But, still, the teenager worried.

The young harpy was looking at the newest person that had just entered the area. It didn't take the siren long to know who it was. Paavi! Zavea excitedly said flying out of the pool and kind of crash landing into the man. He only stumbled a bit causing the wet bird girl to hug him. Sure her mother had a huge crush on him before he got together with Lumi. But they made such a cute couple that the cheiftess let him go. She had looked back at the bluenette. Pix? who was that another family member? Lumi was still laughing, Paavi was a bit wet now and Mizuki looked a bit troubled. Pouting a bit Zavea stood in front of Mizuki. "Who's Pix? Did he hurt you?" Zavea question a bit worried for the princess.
While the young harpy was looking at the princess, a water kingdom guard had approached the four of them. "Queen Artamis, the ship is ready for the Poison Kingdom." They announced and the young siren looked over at Lumi and Paavi. "You have to go don't you?" Zavea questioned, with their silent answer being yes. She knew it was her time to leave. Turning back to Mizuki. "Don't worry Mizuki, I'll come back and we can work together." Zavea said smiling a bit before she moved away from the group. With a quick jog and a powerful flap of her wings she was airborne, flying away from the group.
