Who: Eden and LuLu When: Midafternoon Where: Tatts N' Tags Weather: A pleasant chill
LuLu held her breath and stopped in her tracks. She had talked herself up the whole trip here, but could not bring herself to go through the door.
"Come on, come on, come on. One step," she mumbled quietly to herself.
The raevan gave the art in the tattoo parlor's window another glance as if would give her the final push she needed. Despite the gorgeous arrangements of flowers and skulls lovingly drawn out for display, she still felt butterflies in her stomach. She had been scouting out this tattoo parlor for weeks though and could not just turn away now!
She just needed a little encouragement that this was a good idea.

Eden had convinced Ian to let her skip a day working at the shop after a bit of pleading and she couldn't wait to get outside. It wasn't even that busy today, despite the ever-looming pink cloud of Valentine's Day. With all the gloomy, ice-cold weather that had been hovering over Barton lately Eden hadn't had many chances to get outside and she was practically clawing at the walls now. So when a rare, sunny-but-still-chilly day came along, she knew she had to grab that chance immediately.
She took a deep breath of fresh air as she floated down the street past all the cute, old-fashioned store fronts. She wasn't really planning to shop, but still her eyes were continually drawn to the windows of all the stores she passed. Thankfully nothing really caught her eye--mostly she preferred the stores at the mall with their more modern styles.
But what caught her eye more than anything she'd seen yet was another girl hovering near a tattoo parlor--a Raevan! Immediately Eden gasped and zoomed right up to her, eyes wide in eager excitement. Wait, she recognized this one! She wracked her brain quickly for the familiar face: a garden party... rabbit ears... LuLu! "Oh my gosh, hi! I don't--you probably don't remember me, I'm sorry." She laughed, brushing her hair forward over her shoulder. She had quickly learned that aside from Cesc she was the only pink Raevan and hoped that would jog the other girl's memory. "I'm Eden, we met at the spring Lab party, but only for like--maybe twenty seconds? And then the birds attacked, so..."

LuLu was jarred from her life and death decision by another girl's voice. She spun around and was delighted to be greeted by another raevan. A frei, too!
The rabbit's ears perked up as she tried to place the voice to the face. Her pink hair and stunning green eyes seemed familiar, but she could not place the name. LuLu was a bit embarrassed that she had managed to forget it.
"Hello Eden. It is a pleasure to see you again." The sigel gave a small curtsy. "I hope this time our meeting is not cut short by pesky crows." She spared a glance at the powerlines around them just to be certain no birds were around.
She continued, "What brings you here?"

Eden brightened when LuLu seemed to remember her, wings perking behind her back. "Yeah, you too!" It never ceased to amaze her how different each and every Raevan was from the others. LuLu had the darkest skin she'd seen so far, in stark and beautiful contrast with her sunny, honey-blonde hair. It reminded her of Claire's and Lorin's similar locks, like melted sunbeams. Almost on cue, the flowers in her hair shifted, the largest morphing into a big round sunflower.
When asked about why she was here, she had to take a moment to remember where she was. A tattoo parlor? It looked vaguely familiar, but she had likely only seen it from Ian's car on the way to the market. "Um... Well, I didn't really mean to be here, I'm not getting a tattoo or anything! Ian would kill me oh my gosh--" She laughed. "I actually live just a few blocks away, I was just getting some fresh air. Winter really drives me nuts since it's so cold!" Even today was still a bit chilly for her liking, but at least it wasn't cloudy and gray. The nymph pulled her scarf closer around her neck and beamed back at LuLu.
"What about you? You gonna get a tattoo?" Her smile was mostly teasing, but LuLu did seem to have been deep in thought before she'd approached.

LuLu's eyes widened as Eden's flower crown rearranged itself. She could not help but release a small gasp at the hearty sunflower that now filled most the space. She also spotted a marigold or two brightening up the arrangement along with a spray of buttercups. "Gorgeous!" She reached for the blossoms, but locked eyes with the frei before she touched to make sure she had permission to do so.
The rabbit's joyful expression fell a bit at Eden's inquiry. Was she going to get a tattoo? That was certainly the question of the day! "I have wanted one for a while now." The sigel shuffled in place a bit. One of her hands tugged idly on her sleeve. "I am getting nervous now that I am here!"

"Oh? Ah, thanks! I didn't even realize it had happened," she admitted. Eden smiled at the compliment and dipped her head enough for LuLu to touch the new flowers. She couldn't feel it--they weren't wired into her nerves or anything--but it felt almost as if she were being petted like they were Yuri's ears. It was a funny thought; what would that feel like?
"Oh? Would this be your first?" She squinted in thought, tilting her head to the side. "For some reason, I thought you had one when I saw you at the picnic? On your arm... right?" Her memory of the picnic before the bird attack was fuzzy, but she remembered LuLu's appearance being striking.

LuLu was almost more surprised that nothing was otherworldly about the arrangement on Eden's head, other than their unique method of forming. As her fingers gently brushed along the petals nothing seemed to separate them from a normal bouquet. The rabbit nodded, "Oh! Yes, I do have a marking there." She then rolled up one of her long sleeves to reveal a swirl of red adorning her bicep. LuLu then quickly re-covered the limb to keep the cold at bay. "It was there since I was born though. This will be my first time getting a real tattoo." LuLu scrunched her nose as she continued, "I have a few designs in mind, but I wish someone could pick for me. It would take so much of the stress away."

As LuLu rolled up her sleeve to reveal the memorable swirl of red Eden nodded. "Ohhhh, I see! Well, that'd be fun! What kind of things are you thinking of? Any designs you like?" She hovered closer to the building to look at their list of designs. These were premade, easy things that could be done right away.
"I mean, I'd be happy to help you if you want!" The idea of giving input on something so style-oriented sent a thrill through her rune and she grinned brightly. "Do you want to start easy, or do you want something, like, custom?"

"You do not mind helping me choose? That is amazing, Eden. Thank you!" LuLu reached into her bag and plucked out her cell phone. "I have a few saved in here." She quickly dove into one of her photo albums. The sigel then handed the phone to Eden. A rabbit charm dangling from it jingled as she passed it along. The album was filled with pictures of various tattoos. Most were geometric shapes contrasted with organic splotches of colors. A few of the designs contained rabbits or flowers. "I really want something here." She grazed a hand over her wrist. "I really like color. And custom is good."

"Sure!" She swiped through the phone for a few moments in silence, broken up with the occasional soft sound of interest. The designs LuLu had saved were all sort of similar, which made it a bit difficult to choose, but Eden furrowed her brow in determination.
"Hmm... These are all really cool! I think... I don't know, you could do something like these two combined, like a angle-y rabbit and the watercolor splotches?" She swiped between the two images for emphasis. "Or like- maybe the color only shows up outside the lines? It'd make it stand out really nicely." The nymph looked up at LuLu with an eager smile. The rush of providing her input and helping the Sigel with her choice made her rune pulse brightly. Her petal-like wings fluttered behind her and she hovered a bit higher.

LuLu peeked over the frei's shoulder as Eden flipped through her phone. A soft pout formed on the rabbit's lips as she watched the other girl quickly swipe through a handful of her favorite pics. To her shock, the nymph thumbed past them without even a second glance! LuLu was a bit nervous now. She wondered if she had made a poor selection when choosing her examples. Though, she had to admit, a few of them were pretty similar. Well, maybe more than a few... It may have been a mistake having the library contain 50 pics. After a few moments of contemplation, the younger of the two seemed to have come to a decision. LuLu glanced between the two examples Eden had settled between. The sigel reclaimed her phone from the girl's grasp and pondered over the set of pictures while she listened to Eden's comments. Her head bobbed gently in agreement. She did like the contrast of the haphazard color and the geometric borders. "Oh!" A thought struck the rabbit. "How about something like this?" She scrolled to a simple triangle. "But with a lot of bright colors inside? I think that would really pop!" LuLu looked to Eden. She returned the nymph's smile as she awaited her valued input.
