But now, she was hungry, and she'd put off eating for days if only because no one had come to her chambers with delicacies on a silver platter. Not even afternoon tea and cakes! This was the worst sort of world to wake up in. Maybe this was a villain's lair, after all; not a royal palace at all.
And here she'd thought she'd been transported into a fantasy realm where she would be taken in as Princess. Or perhaps she'd been born here, and had been accidentally whisked away to filthy Hamilton, a lost princess destined to return one day.
Weak in body and spirit, Kitty tip toed into the cafeteria. There were many teens here and there, but the delightful smell of sweet pancakes was wafting from the kitchens.
Dressed in her frilliest nightgown, Kitty tentatively made her way toward one commanding presence. A beautiful woman with blazing red hair. She had to be someone of great importance. Perhaps.. even the Queen?
Kitty cleared her throat once she was close enough, trying to lift her chin in a dignified pride. "Pardon me, but are you perhaps the Queen?" If not the queen, then maybe a maid. Either would do right now.
