The youth had started to hear stories of a small flock of rather large Nondwa, mostly males from what a few beast masters pointed out. He mused on the last time he was out in the forest. Was that the thing that blinded him? He thought over how Nondwa were built...that dust on their wings. Ahhh...he nodded. That’s what it was, it was a dust attack. He blinked as he stopped to tilt his head. Wait. He got done in by a dust attack? That didn’t sound right...he picked up his bow, settled his quiver on his hip. As that was its usual spot. Odd, but it was easy to get to. Rolling his shoulders he tapped the table as he leaned on it to think over where he was when that flying duster surprised him. He glanced to a map of the nearby forests and traced his path. Tapping the spot he finished gathering his things and started out. Walking out he waved a few other hunters, some teased him about his little outing in the woods. Others tossed out warnings of those blasted spiders acting up in a few denser parts. Isaris listened to everything tossed at him with a impassive stare. Coming to the forest’s edge he sighed heavily.

This was going to be a long hunt that he knew. Hunting Nondwa was hard, hunting a specific one. That was going to be nearly impossible. At least that’s how he felt about it all. Maybe he could go to see his elder half brothers to get a few tips on what to do. He stretched out his limbs as he made the familiar trek to the small settlement outside of the city. There were others, all linked by small paths that were hidden unless you really looked for them. Glancing around he tapped a tree. Looking up with a smile to one of the settlements archers. The other male waved him onward, showing that they were aware he was on the way. He would have to bring Vallen out here one day to meet these siblings. He waved as Yahev walked into view. The elder shifter hooking a arm around Isaris’ shoulders. “So, what brings you out here little brother?”

It never struck Isaris as odd at how quick the elder set of twins had taken to calling him with a family term. He chuckled. “Tracking a stubborn Nondwa. I was told I needed to learn to be kinder and their the beast to learn from.”

Yahev blinked. “Its not one that likes to throw its dust in your eyes is it?”

There was a pause as Isaris looked at his elder. “Yes…”

Yahev sighed as he let Isaris go to stand off to the side with a rather sour expression. “That thing is by far the least gentlest member of the Nondwa race that anyone’s ever seen. Its called, Carro, for the life of me I don’t know why it was named.” Isaris sorta shivered at the name. Carro...was that short for Carnivore? He knew what that word was. He looked a little worried about going after this thing now. What if it actually had teeth?

He shook his head clear of the thoughts. “I’m not letting that hold me back. Where is it?”

Yahev chuckled, oh he saw his brother’s face for a moment. The youth was most likely overthinking the name. Oh well. He nodded in his defeat as he started to tell Isaris where that nondwa was last seen as well as where the kids like to play seems to be where it flies the most. Isaris blinked at that, was it protecting the kids then? Interesting. He shifted his quiver as he trekked to the spot. Looking around once...then again as he cocked a hip to the side crossing his arms. Where was this blasted--the rustling of leaves behind him reached his ears a second before he ducked. A nondwa flew quickly past him. Since there was no dust being thrown he suspected this wasn’t the one he was after. He heard another rustle this time rolling to the side.

He stopped looking up to see a trio of Nondwi. Great. Duster brought back up...this was insane. He was not about to get his butt handed to him by a bug! Let alone three!!! That just wasn’t manly at all. He didn’t let it bother him that he automatically thought he was going to lose to these beasts. Nope, that wasn’t the issue. He already lost to Carro once before...he could deal with a second loss. Just not when it was three against one. “That’s just a little unfair don’t you think, Carro? Three against one?”

He didn’t mean to call out to the beasts. Though when he did he noticed the biggest of the trio, he knew that one was the duster...seemed to pause. Isaris panicked mentally a little thinking it was going to grow teeth and really come after him. Paling he started to move. Letting out a yelp as the two on either side swept down and caused him to fall flat on his rear. He groaned as he sat up, seeing Carro about to move he swung his bow up and fired at the branch. Knocking it out from under the flyer he was shocked that it actually worked to knock Carro flat as well. He got up to slowly look over the beast.

“Aw jeeze. Carro. You okay. I didn’t mean to actually hurt you.” Isaris said as he got closer to the beast. Okay that wasn’t a complete lie...he had no real idea how he was going to get the beast. Just that he wanted him. Blinking he looked Carro over. Grateful that the beast was alright. “Oh good your---ACK YOU ROTTEN OVERGROWN DUSTER!!!!!!!!” he yelled out as Carro got him right in the face. Flying off as Isaris jumped up while shaking a fist at the beast. “THIS ISN’T OVER DO YOU HEAR ME!!!!!!!!!!!”
