Incanthis walked into the door of the room that Abie and his whelps were in, giving a glance around to make sure that nobody but the snaptrotters were around, before he closed the door. He leaned against it for a moment, taking in a deep, steadying breath, trying to steel himself. He knew that this was the first step toward shedding the fear that clung to him like a cloak. He wanted to do more then he had been doing, wanted to be more then he had been being, and he knew that the first step involved Abie.
He drew in a deep breath, holding it in for a long moment as he watched the Matori, for a moment unable to move. As he stood there, frozen in place, the whelp at his side gave him a little smack in the leg with his tail. That smack drew his attention, causing Incanthis to look down before he looked up again, back toward Abie, then nodded, "Yeah... you're probably right." He murmured to Junior, pushing off the wall, and walked forward toward the other male. He supposed that he couldn't hesitate, if he did he would allow himself to start to doubt himself, then he would just flee.
Upon reaching Abie he stood there in front of him for a moment, face to face with the younger man, before he said, "I apologize in advance if this is too forward." With that he reached forward, taking hold of his face in his hands, and leaned in to give Abie a kiss.

Abie had been going through a few training runs with the bigger whelps. Laqui and Lithe sitting off to the side. What alerted him to Incanthis walking in was two things. First he heard Junior. Each whelp had a way of walking to them that he seemed to hear before much else. Second he heard Laqui's hiss. A clear sign that the golden whelp was still upset at his brother. Abie made his own sort of hissing sound at Laqui, his little signal for the whelp to knock it off. He rolled his eyes at the pout. Turning he spoke. "Sorry about Laqui, he's still being a---" he blinked at how close Incanthis was to him when the other was right there. Forward? What was...? Hands on his face caused his mind to sorta blank...then...the kiss. Abie had to mentally take a moment, a soft inhale and the youth brought up one hand to interlace his fingers with one of Incanthis'. Then wrapped his arm around the other's waist bringing him closer. The youth broke the kiss after making sure Incanthis knew how much he was enjoying himself. A few deep breaths and he gave the other a hesitant smile. "Okay. I liked that a lot...are you okay though? Is anything wrong?" He lightly stroked the other's cheek as if checking to see if he was hurt or anything. Abie was...extremely greatful for the kiss, but couldn't help to think that Incanthis might of needed comfort because he got scared or someone said something to upset him.

Incanthis gave a little jump as Abie was suddenly catching hold of him to pull him closer. It was something that he should have expected given the vast amounts of interest that the other man had shown in him but it was still a surprise somehow. Once the other released him he lifted a hand to cover his face, trying to hide the flush that was on his cheeks, "I... Ahh... good. Right?" The other said that he'd liked the kiss a lot and he felt like that was a good thing. Better then him throwing him off guard or doing something that he didn't care for. In this instance it felt as though going in and kissing him was the right thing to do. "Huh? Wrong..." He seemed to think on it, giving a shake of his head though it was a little uncertain, "I don't know... I just... I've been thinking since... well, the last time we were hanging out and... I..." He trailed off, clasping his hands tightly in front of himself, seeming as though he were trying to work through his thoughts so that he could better voice them. How to put this? He gave a humming sound before he said, "I want to... be afraid less... if that makes sense?" Lifting his clasped hands up he rested them against his chest, "I've allowed myself to be afraid of... everything... including the good things in my life. I don't want that anymore..."

Abie smiled as he gently laid his forehead against Incanthis'. "Alright and I'll be right at your side. Helping in whatever way I can..." he chuckled when he felt Laqui coil around their waists. "Yes, Laqui...?" he looked down only to be answered with a chirp. He looked back to Incanthis. "So...what did you want to do next?" Course his mind went a different route than he wanted as soon as the words left him. He mentally kicked himself before giving Incanthis his full attention.

Incanthis blinked a couple times as Abie rested their foreheads together, something that instantly made him said, "Careful... I have crystals there..." He didn't want Abie to bump himself on them after all. Flushing a bit he murmured, "I... thank you..." He would actually stay at his side while he tried to figure out exactly how to find his courage, huh? It was something that he wanted nothing more then to figure out but he wasn't really sure where to go next. Abie even asked him what he wanted to do next and he couldn't exactly say. "I... ahh... well, I didn't think that far ahead... I just knew that the first step would involve you..." He murmured, lifting a hand up to scratch it against his cheek, looking quite embarrassed over his words. Admitting that he didn't know what to do or how to start in shedding his past and the clinging darkness... how to start?

Abie blinked then picked up the other gently to spin softly around. He was extremely happy right in this moment. The youth stood there holding the shifter. "S-sorry...I'm just really happy right now.." he thought about it as he walked to the nearby bench sitting down he kept the other mostly in his lap. "Hmmm....well you always had the fear of being outside...why don't we go to the market?" He smiled down at the other. "I wanna get you something."

Incanthis let out a squeak of surprise as Abie picked him up, spinning him around for a moment before he was placed on his feet again. As he touched down he couldn't help but to stand there, eyes wide with shock. He gave Abie a once over and then said, "Wow... you're getting strong, aren't you?" Sure, Incanthis was a light weight sort but that didn't mean that it wasn't a surprise when he was picked up so easily. It was one of those things that pointed to the fact that Abie wasn't quite a child anymore, was he? "H-Huh?" As he was lead forward he tried to come out of his thoughts and into the conversation once more, his cheeks heading up as he found himself sitting in Abie's lap. He perched there a moment, cheeks hot, as Abie talked about them going to the market. He gave a humming sound, "I... sure. It's been a while since I went out." Not since the time when he went out for a quick run to get fabric so he could patch up the twins' clothing in fact. "Eh? Get me something? Oh... you don't have to do that, Abie."

Abie shook his head. "Its something that I've been meaning to get for both of us. Its a special sling that allows one to carry up to seven whelps at once...granted...upper body strength is needed." the youth smiled. "Hey...your okay though. I don't mind getting you little things. I wanna spoil you..." he more than enough coin to get them out of Oba and on the move.

Incanthis's heart skipped a beat for a moment when Abie said that it was something that he planned to get for both of them, thinking that the younger man was going to say something far different... only t say that it was a special sling for whelps. Giving a sigh of relief he said, "That sounds nice, but aren't they getting big enough that carrying them not work anymore? I mean... it might just be me but Junior seems to be getting too big to carry." It was why he'd gotten him the nice harness and leash, so that he could keep him from wandering off or getting lost but without having to carry him around anymore since he was a big boy. "Ah! Unless you mean to get more whelps?" He asked, wondering if he actually meant to get a full seven new babies. He knew he wanted to get an onyx one but was he planning to get a whole new clutch to add to the one he already had? As the other said that he didn't mind getting him things and that he wanted to spoil him. He lifted a hand to run his fingers through Abie's hair in a manner that, to Incanthis at least, felt daring before he said, "You really don't have to. You should focus on yourself, the whelps, and the trip you've been planning, Abie."

Abie leaned into the stroke, almost purring at the other's touch. As he listened his eyes had slipped closed, one opened to look at Incanthis pouting. "Awww. But I think it would be cute to see you with a clutch..." he smiled. Teasing the other just a bit. The youth liked their current position though. Then he felt warmth next to him as Laqui settled along his side. The whelp licking Incnathis' face as if he was also offering comfort.

Incanthis's cheeks colored a little, "Me? With a clutch? Oh... no... I don't think I could do that! I mean Junior can be a handful and he's just one whelp." He'd be worried that he wouldn't be able to keep up with a whole group of them. Did he have the same amount of energy that Abie did? The sort that was almost everlasting allowing him to keep a whole herd of snaptrotters in check? He would have to say no since he knew he let Junior get away with a lot more then he should... Dragged out of his thoughts he found himself getting licked, something that caused Incanthis to look at Abie first... then over at Laqui, realizing that it was the latter that had licked him. Phew... that was good, otherwise he might start thinking that Abie was spending too much time with his snaptrotters. Shifting slightly in Abie's lap he asked, "Umm... so... shopping you said?" They were going shopping, huh? He lifted a hand so that he could chew on his thumb nail before asking. "S-Should I... get my cloak?" Should he hide? He felt like he should but wouldn't that be the same thing as always? Wouldn't that be him hiding due to his fear of Muata, among others? He looked to Abie for his thoughts despite the other male being the younger of the two of them.

Abie chuckled. As he listened to the other. Once Incanthis finished speaking the youth thought about it. Did he want him without the cloak? With the cloak? If he went without, there was a huge chance that Incanthis' former Master would make a fuss. He couldn't have that. The male's eyes narrowed at the thought. "I don't want to run the risk of someone hurting you..." he said as he held the other's hand in his own. He kissed the other's hand. "I say yes to get your cloak."

Incanthis gave a nod of his head as he pushed up to his feet, "I will go and fetch that then. I would rather our outing be an enjoyable one after all." The last thing that he wanted was to run into someone that he didn't want to see. If his cloak could aid him in that aspect then he was more then willing to wear the thing. One day, once they were out of Oba, he wouldn't have to worry about wearing the thing anymore. It was a day that he definitely looked forward to. "Do you want to accompany me to my room? Or do you have to get ready first?" He asked of Abie even as Junior came shuffling over to stand at his side, ever ready to escort him around. As though something dangerous could actually get inside of this place. Still, he allowed it since it gave Junior a sense of purpose, something that seemed to be important to the emerald snaptrotter.

Abie blinked. An open invite to Incanthis' room...that...that was...rare. Abie couldn't recall when he was invited, sure he let the other climb into his bed during the night terrors. That was totally different. The youth almost looked like a hopeful little puppy as he perked up. Nodding as he took the other's hand. "Sure!" As the two started towards the room. Abie started to talk. "The carts ready, there's a caravan that's going towards Juahar. So, I'm thinking we tag along with them for a time. The caravan master is perfectly fine with the whelps. He feels having one more healer, cause they have like...five I think, would make their odds better." he chuckled as he spoke. Kissing the healers cheek.

Incanthis turned to look at Abie, head tilting, taking in how excited he seemed to be over the invitation to accompany him back to get the cloak. He gave him a curious look before he started to lead the way, thinking on it for a moment. It took him a bit of time to really get it but after a moment it sort of clicked, the fact that he hadn't really ever asked Abie into his room before. In fact he'd never invited anyone save for Junior inside. Was that it? Was that why Abie seemed so excited? Well... it was a good thing then, for both of them. It was Incanthis doing something new, something different, allowing someone in his room by invitation. "We are going to head out soon then?" He asked, giving pause, then swallowed hard. It was intimidating, knowing that they might be moving out so soon but... it was time. He had to get back to Jauhar, had to visit home, and even if his brothers wouldn't accept his return he would at least stop by and visit his mother's grave. That was the most important thing, him wanting to stop by and visit, to let her know that he was alright, and to let her know that he'd followed in her foot steps despite all the hurdles he'd come across since he was young. The kiss drew him out of his thoughts and he turned, glancing toward Abie, and gave him a smile, "Ah! Well, how is your packing going?" He asked as he headed into his room, Junior shuffling in at his heels, heading under his bed to lounge there for the time being.
