As an armadillo, Brynn has a thick hide that protects her from incoming attacks -- but she's small, and does a small amount of damage a turn. The result is a long fight, but not a terribly dangerous one.
Health: 200HP Damage: 3 damage each time you attack. Special Movie: Every 3rd time she's hit, she rolls into a shell and absorbs the next 10 damage dealt against her. During this time, she deals no damage.
After defeating one of the above Hero NPCs, each party involved in the battle gets 25XP and rolls 1d100 to collect loot according to the following:
1-70: Moly Flower: a small white flower with a dark root. You're not quite sure what it's for, but decide to keep it. 71-85: Fine Wine: Why would an animal have a bottle of wine? Considering all that's going on, we strongly suggest you don't drink. If you act rashly and do, though, please PM and be blue for consequences. 86-95: Map Piece: If the map hasn't been fully assembled, you acquire one additional piece. This can only be collected once per battle, but rolling this also yields a bonus 5XP. 96-100: Small Personal Item: You find a small personal item from the defeated NPC, that can be used later on for a one-on-one RP with that NPC. Brynn: A small metal bug sculpture. Chris: a hand-made fishing lure. Olivia: The charm from a bracelet, with a bullet on it. Griffin: A claw necklace. Rafe: A picture of a woman and a young girl.

Asher had seen Brynn go into the bushes: a round, leathery shape that quivered faintly under thorny branches, apparently undamaged by their prickling edges. He'd approached quietly, slowly, dagger in hand -- this was less than 50 feet from the campsite, close enough to put him well within sight of the others, even if dark had shortened their vision and made shadows grow around the camp.
He wasn't sure it was her, at first. Armadillos weren't native to New Orleans, which should have been a tip-off -- but Ahser didn't actually know about armadillos. He didn't even really have the word for it. Instead he opted for:
"Here possum possum --" Low, under his breath, adjusting the grip on his weapon as he stepped in just a hair closer, to investigate the creature and see if it, perhaps, still had scraps of clothing clinging around it somewhere.
And, of course, at that point, Brynn burst out of the bushes, scuffling and screaming, to throw herself at his legs and wildly scrape at his skin.

Briiva had been trailing behind Asher, making sure to keep her distance. She wasn't a huge fan of attacking Chosen, but she would feel much better to have them back at camp, safe and sound.
When Brynn burst out of the foliage, Briiva couldn't help but jump a little. She quickly strung her bow and fired off a quick shot, but apparently wasn't used to hitting something quite that small. The arrow bit harmlessly into the earth and Briiva let out a low groan. "I can't hit for s**t this mission!"
Hopefully the others would have better luck (and accuracy) than her.

While friendly and always ready to help out, she has a flair for the dramatic and will get carried away more often than not.
Rob had just finished making sure Sid-bird was settled and was wandering across the camp, wondering what was safe to eat. It was pretty evident that the food they had found was what had caused the others to change into animals, so he didn't want to risk any of that. Still, he was getting hungry -- and more important, thirsty. What he wouldn't give for a beer.
Out of the corner of his eye he saw movement. It was Asher, sneaking toward something in the undergrowth. He suddenly jumped and yelped as a small grey football-shaped thing leapt out and attacked him. Was that… Brynn?
Rob ran over, drawing his greatsword, as Briiva shot an arrow at it -- her, he mentally corrected -- and missed. He didn't want to hurt her, or Asher for that matter, but he had to try. Wielding the big weapon like a cricket bat, he swatted at Brynn with the flat of the blade.

Misha had been peacefully resting from her various adventures, curled up in a neat little ball, tail over her nose, when she heard the commotion at the edge of camp. Her ears perked upwards and swiveled towards the noise even before she lifted her head and gave a jaw-cracking yawn. At the sound of metal hitting something, though, she sprang to her feet. Looking around, she quickly saw some rustling in the bushes just outside of the camp and blessed her improved night vision as she recognized Asher and Rob attacking something.
Shaking off the last bits of drowsiness, she sprinted across the camp to see what could be done. When Misha saw the armadillo being battered, though, she squeaked in surprise. Brynn! It had to be Brynn! Not giving herself a chance to think, she launched herself in a leap that had her land and neatly bounce off the armored back of the poor transformed Chosen. She landed on her feet off to the side, panting at her rush, surprised it had worked.
"My darling, that is not a possum." Mal had given up on his suit jacket a while back; now he had tie and handkerchief tucked into his back pockets. He'd rolled his sleeves up above the elbows and his glasses were smudged, but he had enough left in him to be amused at Asher as Brynn's tiny armadillo self came flailing out of the bushes at him. It was just as funny when Brynn came at him, or Mal's face showed laughter at that, too.
"I'm so glad I had you pegged as a city boy," he said brightly as he swatted at Brynn with his sword; he hit her hard enough to jar the sword against his palms. "Oop. I think I owe Brynn a drink at some point for that." Maybe he'd just keep a tally open, as he scuffed back from her to try to avoid tiny armadillo paws.
"I'd have been bitterly disappointed--" he continued, with a grin that he shot at Asher. "--if I had ever thought of you as a country boy."
Character Name:Mal Gherig Brief description of character: Mal is the the quintessential ice prince; cool in a crisis, he keeps a space of calm around himself even when the world is falling to pieces, but what you see on the surface isn't necessarily what's going on beneath. He has no fear of appearing like an a*****e in order to play devil's advocate, and will frequently go out of his way to do so in order to force others to think about their choices.
Asher, knocked on his butt, had dropped his dagger somewhere in the struggle to keep Brynn away from his face -- pushing her back and drawing in deep breaths of air and trying not to panic. She'd looked small, at a glance, but she certainly wasn't this close up: instead, to him, she seemed to be an armored monster.
When, abruptly, she dropped to the ground and rolled up into a ball, he finally scrambled for his dagger, shakily rising to his feet -- and kicking her away from him once, roughly. The look he turned on Mal was dark and ******** you, man." Not clever. But it made his point.

Briiva saw Brynn attack Asher then drop into a ball. She took the opportunity to take her time to aim, but the arrow bounced off the shell harmlessly. Briiva had to bite her tongue to keep from saying anything inappropriate out loud, even as she was thinking it. After this was all said and done, she was going to have words with this here bow.

Rob saw Brynn curl up into a ball and grinned. "Maybe I should have been a cricketer." He once again held the greatsword like a cricket bat and took a swing at the leathery ball of turned Chosen. Sadly (or luckily for Brynn), he only connected enough to send her rolling a short distance across the campsite. "Damn, and I was going for a century, too." He would definitely owe her a drink or three after this was all over.

A century? What the hell was that? Misha didn't have time to properly wonder and she certainly didn't have the ability to ask so she simply threw herself in the path of the rolling Brynn. She crouched and leaned into the incoming blow. By anticipating it and throwing her narrow shoulder into it, she was able to redirect the ball back to the center of the group while also channeling the energy into a blow back on the armored plating.
Mal laughed as the ball of Brynn came back toward him, and swatted it with his sword. He hoped she'd forgive them later-- this was two drinks and counting, he figured. If she drank. Maybe he'd just buy her giftcards to home improvement stores? Or Amazon. You could find anything on Amazon.
"I didn't know exhibitionism was your kink, Asher." The laugh was in his voice as he avoided the skittering of the armadillo.

Brynn uncurled and, of course, she went for Asher first again -- before he could ask Rob what the hell he was talking about or even look offended or embarrassed by Mal's bad joke. Instead, for a second time, he found himself with an angry armadillo flinging herself at him. He brought the dagger up this time, and it meant the blade skidded along Brynn's hide, driving her back and leaving Asher flustered.
"What did I do? Why is she so angry at me?" He shot a look around at them. "I was trying to help!"

BRiiva flinched as she saw Brynn charge Asher and let loose her arrow to take some of the attention off of him. This time, it found a c***k in the armored back of their turned Chosen. Of course, Briiva hadn't thought far enough ahead to have a plan of action once she had Brynn's attention: She angrily roll-charged at Briiva, and she didn't even have time to flinch as the armadillo scratched at her chest before bouncing off, rolling back into the fray, curled tightly in around herself.
Even though the claws had hurt, Briiva still couldn't help but feel bad. Brynn made a dang cute little armadillo after all. She gave Arthur a comforting pat on his head before getting pushing it back down into her head. "Stay down, little guy. I don't want you getting caught in any crossfire."
Trying to keep things at least a little upbeat, she grinned ear to ear at Rob. "Ball's coming right at you!"

Poor Brynn. Rob liked her -- hell, she was the one who recruited him -- but he was having way too much fun playing cricket with her and watching her assault Asher. Briiva managed to hit her with an arrow, which caused her to attack the other Hephaestus Chosen, and immediately the hapless little armadillo rolled up into a ball again and head right for him.
"Cheers, love," he grinned back at Briiva, taking another swipe at Brynn with the flat of the big sword's blade. This time he gave her a good solid smack, sending her flying into a tree trunk. "Oh dear, that's a sticky wicket…"

The armor that protected Brynn was thick and strong. When she was balled up, there was no chance in shocking her back to her senses. Rob's blow had her unroll, though, and totter along dazedly. As she neared Misha, the cat-girl raised a paw and, very careful to keep her claws in, delivered a jarring blow on the plates just over Brynn's neck. She received a bang of her own in return and scurried back out of range.
